Chapter 13: The Man the Devils Fear
At the darkest of night, a holy warrior comes to the Devil May Cry agency for some much needed help.
?: Hello? is anyone here? I apologize for calling late at night

?: Hmm, a costumer, huh? well, if you need to use the bathroom, go ahead, the toilet's in the back
His name is Dante, his voice was made by the other Dante in DMC3
?: No, i'm here because i wanted to hire you, you're Dante, yes? you run the Devil May Cry agency?
Dante: That would be me, look, lady, i like to try my best to give priority jobs from hotties like you, but if it's the pure, chaste Valkyrie herself, such as you, that's another story, any work you'd give me has got to be bad news
Valkyrie: You know who i am?
Dante: Well, yeah, down in the demon world, you've pretty much been blacklisted, you should really put on a less flashy outfit while you're on earth, by the way
Valkyrie: But, i always wear this
Dante: Plus, who's that guy behind you? he'd gives anyone the creeps
Valkyrie: Behind me?
His name is Demitri Maximoff, his voice is most likely sound like Ziggy from the Xenosaga games
Dante: I thought you usually had that pudgy green guy with you, lady
Valkyrie: Demitri! Demitri Maximoff?!
Dante: First a warrior from heaven, and now a vampire of the night, huh, you guys going to a fancy ball or something? shame i wasn't invited
Demitri: So, are you the one they call Dante? the legendary son of Sparda? and you... Valkyrie, the holy fighter, why are you here?
Valkyrie: Surely you must know what is happening in the demon world right now, that, and how the fallout is threatening to extend into the human world
Dante: ...
Demitri: I do, but that still doesn't explain what you are doing here
Valkyrie: I was told by an acquaintance that a Devil Hunter was needed to solve this, what about you, Demitri? why did you come here?
Demitri: I know little of the human world, i came to hire a guide, a certain woman told me about someone she said would be perfect for the job, a cross between the human and the demon blood - the son of the Betrayer
Valkyrie: An astonishing coincidence, perhaps we were fated to meet here, like this
Demitri: ... (Darn you, Morrigan...)
Dante: I'm glad to see you guys get along, but try not to ignore your host, alright? now, what exactly do you people want from me, anyway?
Valkyrie: I want you to come with me to a certain place, someplace that i think you would be interested in as well, Demitri
Demitri: What?
Valkyrie: I believe Jedah Dohma, high noble of the underworld, is behind this crisis
Demitri: i see
Dante: (Head of the Dohma family? this is starting to get serious.) okay, so where do you want me to go?
Valkyrie: To Marvel Land, a sealed off location, situated deep in the desert in a shape of the Pyramid
Dante: Okay, so, i'm going to Marvel Land to deal with a problem in the human world? man, i knew i had a bad feeling about this
So, the three set off to Marvel Land, ironically, it was the same place that Matthew and Mog ended up.
Matthew: Wow, would you look at this place, Mog?
Mog: Yeah, it's completely connected with time, what could this all be about?
Matthew: I don't know, but, we need to find the pedestal somewhere in here, hold on
Mog: What is it, kupo?
Matthew: Someone's coming!
Mog: Let's find the spot and hide where we won't get spotted
Matthew: good idea
As Matthew and Mog hide behind the Stone Pillar, that's when Dante, Demitri, and Valkyrie arrived.
Dante: So, here we are, the pyramid built by the evil Zouna ages ago, we're pretty deep inside by this point, aren't we? i don't like it much
Demitri: Indeed, the forces i feel disturb me, and what about this magic circle, Valkyrie?
Valkyrie: Hmm, it appears to be safe for now, but, it is extremely unstable nonetheless, this chamber used to be connected to another world, even though today, monsters still appear from this room now and again, including the strange black creatures
Demitri: i see a few of them here now, but i don't see any black creatures you spoke of
Dante: What about those treasure chests?
Valkyrie: They somehow found their way in here as well, just like these creatures, none of this was here when i visited just a little while earlier, or that pedestal
Dante: So, they're free for the taking, right? that oughta cover my fees nicely
Valkyrie: What? well, i suppose so, but the pedestal is important
Dante: I know
Demitri: Hah, shameless, but interesting, so much for the famous son of the legendary dark knight, eh?
Dante: Hey, a good rep's nice and all, but, i need money if i want to stay alive, gotta be able to afford some pizza for dinner, y'know, besides, i kinda got a lady in my life i owe a bunch of cash to
Valkyrie: In that case, let's defeat these monsters and procure the chests for Dante
Demitri: Oh, brother
Matthew: Then, how about we give you guys a hand
As Matthew and Mog came out from behind the stone pillar to meet them.
(Cue Keyblade Knight's theme: Endless Possibilites from Sonic Unleashed.)
Valkyrie: What? who are you?
Matthew: My name's Matthew, Nick's brother and Master Umbra's apprentice, and this is my Moogle partner, Mog
Mog: Hi, kupos!
Demitri: Hmm, that aura of light... you are a Keyblade wielder, aren't you?
Matthew: Yeah, huh? how did you know?
Dante: Well,you guys are on the wanted list in the demon world, so, you should be careful
Mog: Right, we'll be careful
Valkyrie: Wait, are you Matthew the Keyblade master? the ''Solder of the Light''?
Matthew: Yeah, that's me, but why did you call me the soldier of the light?
Valkyrie: Because, Matthew, many people here in the X Zone know you and your brother specifically as the ''Soldier of the Light'' and the ''Warrior of the Heartless''
Matthew: Oh, right, most of the people in this universe knew everything about us because we're apart of the X-Zone
Valkyrie: You are correct, Matthew
Dante: So, Matthew, and Mog, you two wanna help us out?
Matthew: Sure!
Mog: Okay, Kupo
The group then help get the treasure chests for Dante and give him the rewards, but afterwards, the magic circle activates and a group of demons appear.
?: Mmm? Heh heh, the transport was a complete success, just as i thought it would
Her name is Riemsianne, her voice was made by Claudia Black.
Demitri: So, you wield a different power from ours, are you a demon? i want to know who you are before i am comfortable welcoming you
Riemsianne: Ah, a native, hmm, your power is certainly impressive, i am Riemsianne, ruler of the land of Fyrlandt, but you may call me by my full name, Riemsianne La Vaes
Dante: Well, hey, devil queen, those other guys your henchmen?
Riemsianne: Other guys? why did these strangers come here with me? i have no idea how they wriggled through
Dante: These are devils, like the ones from that tower, but, why are they here?
Valkyrie: Riemsianne... that was your name, yes? why are you - no, how did you even get here?
And then, two other people appeared.
?: She used our transport system, that's how
His name is Toma, his voice was made by Johnny Yong Bosch.
Riemsianne: Toma, i see the heritors of the Holy Swords are after me yet again
?: Riemsianne, why did you go in the Geo-Fortress? what are you up to this time?
Her name is Cyrille, her voice was made by Tara Strong.
Toma: Hey, uh, Cyrille? i'm glad that we tracked Riemsianne down in time... but where are we?
Cyrille: Forget about that, Toma, you know what we have to do here before anything else
Toma: Yeah, yeah, man, i hate when you're so bossy like that, it makes me wanna
Cyrille: I can hear you, Toma!
Dante: Hey, sorry to butt in, but can you guys explain to us on what's going on between you guys?
Riemsianne: Heh, enough of this, i will envelope all of you into the hellfire of purgatory, and you, Toma and Cyrille, soon, both of your precious Holy Swords will be mine!
Toma: I'm not giving you the Shining Force Riemsianne!
Cyrille: He's right, Riemsianne, we're not gonna give our Holy Swords, nor the power of the Shining Force to you!
Riemsianne: I said, they will be mine, i will have the Holy Swords and its power by force, hee hee, then, i'll rule this world's demons, too
Matthew: Man, her head's screw-loose
Mog: yep, kupo
Demitri: What business do you have, butting in here with that ridiculous nonsense!?
?: The demon world would be more chaotic with you around
His name is Sir Daniel Fortesque, his voice was made by the WWE Superstar, John Cena.
?: You're absolutely right, the demon world is already chaotic enough as it is, i'd prefer if you villains wouldn't make it any worse, we have a realm of our own to protect, fight us Witch, and we will rend you into bones!
?: Right you are, Arthur
His name is Arthur the Knight, his voice was made by John Dimaggio.
Riemsianne: What?!
And then, a silver knight, and an undead knight appeared.
?: And by ''us.'' we chiefly mean ''me.'' Ha ha ha!
Cyrille: Huh? Who're you two?
Valkyrie: You are Arthur, yes? the Knight of Silver?
Dante: Arthur? Daniel? ah, yes, from the land of ghosts and goblins, and from the land of Gallowmere, well, wonderful, how nice to have two of the original Devil Hunters with us
Daniel Fortesque: Well, i'm not really called a Devil Hunter, but, i guess you can say that
Arthur: Oh? a fellow knight? your power seems familiar to us, ...hmm? Sparda? no, wait... you must be!
Dante: Pretty sharp, i see, yep, i'm his son, Dante
Daniel: Ah, yes, perhaps we're destined to meet again, son of Sparda
Riemsianne: Pfft! i don't know who half of you fools are, but i'll kill you all the same!
Valkyrie: Toma, Cyrille, please, we need your help
Cyrille: Well, yes, but... we hardly even know who you guys are
Toma: Who cares, Cyrille? they don't look evil or anything to me
Demitri: What are you two little children prattling on about?
Arthur: That's what i like to hear, lad! you are safe in trusting me, i assure you, Gah! My armor!
Dante: He's got his weird traits, yeah, but i think he's a good guy deep down
Daniel Fortesque: I too, will also lend you my blade, worthy Shining Force heroes
Toma: See, Cyrille? we're among friends here
Cyrille: Well, if that's what you think, Toma, then okay
Riemsianne: Pathetic, Toma! Why would you ever rely on these complete strangers?
Toma: Because i know when i can trust someone, unlike you, apparently!
Matthew: Okay, let's get on with it!
Mog: Yeah! let's rock Riemsianne's world! kupo!
Riemsianne: Impressive, but, it doesn't matter, once i'm through with you fools, the Holy Swords and the power of the Shining Force! Ha ha ha!
?: In your dreams, Witchy
?: You ain't getting those Swords as long as we're around
As the Hedgehog and a Plumber appeared out of nowhere and defeat some of the demons.
(Cue Project X-Zone cutscene music: His World from Sonic 2006.)
His name is Sonic, his voice was also made by Roger Craig Smith.
His name is Mario, his voice was made as himself from the Mario games.
Sonic and Mario are from Sora's group, but don't worry, they're the new Project X-Zone pair units.
Daniel Fortesque: Who are they?
Matthew: They are Sonic the Hedgehog and Mario the Plumber
Mog: Hey guys, we're glad that you guys arrived in time
Mario: Oh! it's a Matthew and a Mog
Valkyrie: You know them Matthew?
Matthew: Yep, we sure do, they're from our group back at the Realms of Light
Mog: but we'll explain more later
Daniel Fortesque: Right, a battle awaits us in this fight
Sonic: You've read our minds, now, let's crack some heads with Sonic Speed!
As the fight against Riemsianne and the demons is underway
Project X-Zone Boss Battle: Riemsianne 1st Battle
Daniel Fortesque: Time for our enemies to taste the fear of the Undead Hero of Gallowmere
Dante: Whoa, you looked scary when you said that
Daniel Fortesque: Of course Sir Dante, i used to be scary back in my world, but, i shall explain where i'm from after this fight
Arthur: Right, let's beat some information right out of Riemsianne
Riemsianne: And how would you fools attend to do that?
Sonic: With the power of speed, we can take on any foes we came across, including you Riemsianne
Riemsianne: Oh, how very nice, but i'm afraid you fools won't live to tell the tale once i have the Holy Swords, now, perish!
Riemsianne launched a powerful Hellfire attack on the heroes, when suddenly.
?: Chaos Spear!
A spear of Light cut through Riemsianne's attack and damages her while a new hero uses a force field to protect the heroes from the blast.
His name is Shadow, his voice was made by the other Shadow in Sonic Generations.
His name is Ristar, his voice was made by Crispin Freeman.
(Cue Project X-Zone Cutscene Music: I am all of me from Shadow the Hedgehog.)
Shadow: You guys alright?
Valkyrie: We're fine, but, who are you?
Shadow: I'm Shadow, Shadow the Hedgehog
Ristar: And i'm Ristar, a new hero from the X Zone
Arthur: Oh yeah, we remember you Ristar, you're from the new world not far from the X Zone
Ristar: Sure am, man, i can't believe that i remember some of you guys, including the ''Soldier of the Light'' himself
Matthew: Um, so glad that you noticed me Ristar
Daniel Fortesque: What about you Shadow? where did you, Sonic, and Mario came from?
Shadow: If you guys want to know where we come from, it'll have to wait, first, we must make sure Riemsianne suffers an immediate defeat
Dante: Music to my ears
Daniel Fortesque: Alright, Onward to battle!
As the heroes teamed up to defeat Riemsianne.
(End Project X-Zone Boss Music.)
Riemsianne: Hmm, i see, i'm starting to get more and more curious about this, if i could obtain the power strewn across all of these X-Zone worlds, then perhaps...
Toma: Riemsianne! i thought you were after the Shining Force!
Riemsianne: I do, but the X-Zone worlds will have to come first before i'll go after the power of the Shining Force
Arthur: Listen, Riemsianne, you've lost to us in battle
Daniel Fortesque: That's right, Witch, you better not be getting any funny ideas
Riemsianne: Funny ideas? Hee hee! you mean like this?
Riemsianne activated the magic circle.
Cyrille: W-What the?!
Mario: That's not-a-good
Sonic: Not on our watch, Now Shadow!
Shadow: I'm on it, Time Freeze!
Shadow uses the technique to freeze the time, places Earthrock Trilobyte's tracking devices on Toma, Cyrille, Arthur, and Riemsianne, then Shadow snaps his finger to unfreeze the time as Riemsianne, Toma, Cyrille, and Arthur all disappeared.
Valkyrie: Ahh! Where'd they go?!
Ristar: I don't know
Daniel Fortesque: They're all disappeared right after Riemsianne activated the magic circle
Dante: Geh, any ideas, Demitri?
Demitri: Hmm, this force... it's the same as when Riemsianne first show up
Ristar: So, do you think they all went back to where they came from?
Valkyrie: I can only hope so, Ristar
Shadow: Or perhaps, they went to a different world as we speak
Valkyrie: How can you tell?
Shadow: This
Shadow showed the heroes the tracking Beacon device.
Mario: Oh yeah, Earthrock Trilobyte's tracking devices!
Shadow: That's right, with those and this tracking beacon device, we should be able to see where they're heading next, plus, it comes with an invisibility cloak system
Mog: So, what now?
Valkyrie: I need to stay here so i can investigate this magic circle
Daniel Fortesque: Excellent idea, Valkyrie
Demitri: Hmph, i'm going back to my castle, i see no point being further involved here, (Especially if this is bringing me no closer to Jedah.)
Demitri leaves the group...
Sonic: What's his deal?
Dante: That's nobility for you, No backbone whatsoever, anyways, Valkyrie, i think i'm gonna head back to my office, i'll ask my friend about this, she's a bit greedy at times, but i can rely on her
Valkyrie: I understand, be careful on the way back
Dante: Don't bet on it, Hey, Matthew, Mog, you guys wanna come with us?
Matthew: Why should we?
Mog: Give us one good reason?
Dante: We can have pizza
Matthew: Let's go!
Mog: Wait for me, kupo!
Dante, Daniel Fortesque, Matthew, Mog, Sonic, Mario, Ristar, and Shadow left.
Valkyrie: Marvel Land's in trouble, all the other X-Zone worlds are in danger, first the demons are invading from another realm, then the strange black creatures suddenly appeared in the X-Zones worlds, and now Arthur's here, too, why does stability have to be elusive for us?
Just then, a Firefly-based Reploid appeared from the beam of light.
?: My aching head
To make things interesting, his name is Izzy Glow the Firefly-based Reploid, his voice was made and sounded by Dr. Eggman.
Valkyrie: Who are you?
Izzy Glow: I'm Izzy Glow, the Firefly-based Reploid
Dante, Daniel Fortesque, and Ristar has joined the team.
