The next morning, Darien woke up from his bed to see Serena sleeping next to him. He smiled because it showed how much she cared for him. Slowly and quietly, he got out of bed and got ready for school. When he finished getting ready, he kissed her on the top of her head and left.

Not too long after Darien left for school, Serena wakes up only to see Darien gone. "Darien, where are you? Darien!" ("Guys, Darien's gone!")

("Is there anything missing that was there last night?") Fiory asked.

She took a good look around the apartment. ("Uh, his school uniform and bag are missing.")

("Maybe he went to school.") Raye said.

("But why wouldn't he wake me if he was going to school?")

("The more important question is how we're going to get our school stuff without your mom tracking us down?") Mina wondered.

("Don't worry about Serena's mom. She's not angry or anything; she's worried but calm.)

("You can sense that?") Trista seemed surprised.

("Yeah. What time does your school start?") Fiory asked.

("In thirty minutes. Besides, we don't have enough time to go home to get our stuff and then go to school.") Amy answered.

("Try asking Eriol and Sakura for help.")

("Eriol, Sakura, do you think you could help us?") Serena asked Sakura and Eriol.

("Sure, what is it?") Eriol responded.

("Our school starts in thirty minutes but none of us have enough time to go home and get our stuff. We never had this problem before so we don't know what to do.") Lita sounded a bit panicked.

("Do you want me to use TIME or would you rather have them teleported to you?")

(Could you teleport them to us please?") Amy requested. ("We don't want to run into Serena's mom.")

("Did something happen?") Eriol knew from Amy's comment that something was up so he teleported the girls' school uniforms and bags to them.

("I told my mom something she would get mad about.")

("Again, I tell you, your mom isn't mad Serena.") It sounded as if Fiory was laughing. ("By the way, is there a way I could expand my powers? They're really limited.")

("I could help you if you want,") Eriol offered.

("I can help you until Eriol gets out of school,") Nakuru also offered.

("Wow, I would really appreciate that.")

("Nakuru, need I remind you that you are also a student?") Suppi reminded Nakuru.

("Make that after school,") Nakuru laughed.

The girls had all arrived at Darien's school and they were going around helping Serena look for Darien.

("Anyone see him yet?") Serena was feeling nervous. She started thinking ("What if someone happened to him?")

("Not yet,") Amy responded. ("Same here,") Mina replied. (I got him! He just went inside his classroom,") Lita confirmed.

("Thanks girls!") And with that, Serena headed to Darien's class. "Is Darien Shields inside?" she asked someone outside the classroom.

"Hold on," he said. He went in and looked around till he saw Darien. "Hey Darien, there's someone here to see you, a girl with long blonde hair. She looks like she's in high school."

Darien came out looking confused. "Hi, can I help you with something?"

"Darien, thanks goodness you're okay. Why did you leave without me this morning? I was so worried!"

"That was you in my apartment?"

"Of course, that was me! Who else would be it be in there besides me?"

"What's going on?" Lita came with the other girls to see what the commotion was because she heard Serena's voice go up.

"Look I don't know who you are and how you know my name, but I would appreciate it if you don't go in there again." He looked serious.

"Is he being serious?! Please tell me he's joking… What's wrong with you Darien?" Mina just stared at him in disbelief.

"Serena's your girlfriend!" Amy usually never raised her voice but it went up because she was shocked with what she was hearing.

Then Darien started laughing. "Of course, I'm kidding. I had you girls there for a moment," he grinned.

Lita just shook her head. "Guys and their jokes… Come on. Let's leave them alone. See you in class, Serena." Right before they left, Lita glared at Darien saying like he was going to regret that later.

"So, you were kidding around the whole time? Is that what it this is, a joke? Don't you know how worried I was?!"

"Come on, Serena. It's just a little joke, might have been a bit harsh, but a joke!" He raised his hands up to defend himself while chuckling a little.

"Might have been?" She took a step forward. "Might have been?! This isn't funny!" She hit him on his arm. "I'm really mad at you right now!"

"Because of the joke?"

"Yes! I thought it was some side effect from the spell!"

"Look, Serena…" He finally realized how far he went with the joke when he saw Serena's shoulders shake and immediately started to regret it.

"How was I supposed to know if you were even going to wake up in the morning?!" She started to cry. "Darien, I was really scared!"

To calm her, Darien hugged Serena tightly. "Serena, I'm really sorry. You know I don't like it when you cry. It gets me upset to think someone or even I hurt you in some way. Forgive me? Please?"

"You really get upset?" she sniffed.

"Yeah, I do. If it were someone else, I would go after them and…" He stopped midsentence and kissed Serena hard. Looking into her eyes, he said, "I love you and nothing is EVER going to change that, not even amnesia or a stupid spell. No matter what, I love you. I'm really sorry I joked around."

The five-minute warning bell rang.

"You better get to class."

She frowned at him. "You better not disappear on me again. If you do…"

"I won't, I promise. Now go to class," he chuckled.

"Okay," she reluctantly said. "You know where to find me if you need me."

Darien gave her a squeeze before she left. "I love you, Serena."

"I love you too. See you later."

As Darien went back inside his classroom, the guys were all making fun of Darien because of the kiss with Serena. Right when he got to his seat, a girl came up to him and asked, "What did you do to make her cry?" He guessed this was about Serena but did she look pissed. "Huh? Alex, what are you talking about?"

Alex is one of Darien's classmates and friend. "You heard me. Serena's like one of my best friends from elementary school."

"Elementary school, huh? Then what was her childhood like?" He asked Alex because Serena didn't tell him about her childhood much and figured she would know.

"Oh no. You are not getting that out of me. She told me that she doesn't want me to tell you or want you to know."

Darien stared at Alex because he didn't believe her. ("Why would she still not want me to know after all this time?")

"Why are you looking me like that? Byron, why is he looking at me like that? It's kind of scary."

Byron, another classmate and friend hid Alex behind his back. "Darien, you're scaring her."

"Why doesn't she want me to know? We have no secrets from each other."

Alex came out of hiding behind Byron to answer Darien. "It's not a secret. She would just rather not share it," she said as she folded her arms.

"Just leave it alone, Darien. Don't try asking her just because she won't tell you. Serena's going to tell you when she's ready and right now she isn't."

The professor came in and everyone automatically sat down without him having to tell them to. "Take out your books and read the pages written on the board."

"What about after we read the pages, Mr. Yoshiro?"

"There are questions at the end of the chapter. Answer them then turn in the sheet of paper with the answers on the desk."

Serena was panting by the time she got to her desk. "Hey guys."

"Hi Serena. Did you know that there's a rumor going around that Miss Haruna has a boyfriend?" Melvin always had the 911 on anything going on in the school.

"What?!" Amy, Lita, Mina, Molly, and Serena were all shocked.

"Miss H?" Mina started.

"A boyfriend?" Serena added.

"Do you know if it's true?" Molly asked.

"I can probably find out by the end of school," Melvin replied.

Miss Haruna came in and set down her notebook on the podium. "Everyone take out your journals and write a one-page paper about love then turn it in. You have 30 min to complete this assignment.

Amy, Lita, Melvin, Mina, Molly, and Serena thought, ("She definitely is.")

("What's your class doing?") Darien asked.

("Melvin just told us a rumor we just proved true,") Serena said.

("Who's Melvin and what kind of rumor?")

("Melvin is a classmate and friend of ours that's dating another classmate and friend, Molly. And the rumor was that Miss H has a boyfriend,) Mina explained to her boyfriend.

("Oh really? How did you prove it?")

("She told us to write a one-page paper on love and turn it in.")

("Who's Miss H?")

("Miss Haruna or Miss H, as we call her, is our teacher,") Lita added.

("Fiory, since you're going to be here a while, why don't you enroll in school?")

("Darien actually said the same thing. What are your schools like?")

("It depends on which class you're enrolled in. Darien's teacher, Mr. Yoshiro, is pretty chill about most things. Miss H is a different question.")

("Miss H is sometimes chill about things,") Amy pitched in.

("We need to try to enroll him into my class,") Darien stated.

("Where does Andrew go to school?") Michelle asked.

("Are you thinking that we should have Andrew transfer schools here?")

("It would be easier for him to keep our secret.")

("Let's head to the arcade after school and talk it over with him then. But what is he wants nothing to do with the Sailor Scouts?")

Serena raised her hand. "Miss H, did something good happen to you today?" ("I guess we'll just have to find out then.")

Molly tried to stop Serena. "Serena!"

"There's a rumor going around that you have a boyfriend," Mina grinned.

The whole class gasped.

"Where…where did you hear that?" She looked so flustered.

"Is it true?" Lita asked.

Amy spoke up next. "You came in smiling and asked us to write a one-page paper on love."

"Keep writing your papers!" Miss H ordered.

"It has to be true. Look! She's changing the subject!" Serena pointed out.

The class started all started talking at once.

"Take out your journals and write summaries on each of the chapters we have read as a class or you are going to be marked absent!"

Molly was next. "Come on Miss H. We're really happy for you. That's why we were so curious."

("Help me!") a voice called out.

Serena looked around at her friends. "Did you guys hear something?"

Melvin shook his head. "No."

Mina looked at her friend. "Is something wrong?"

("Help me, please!") the voice said again.

("Who are you? How are you contacting me?")

("Please, I need help! You must come alone!")

("But why alone? My friends can…")

("No! Only you can help me. Please, you must come alone.")

"Miss Haruna, we're not trying to make you mad." Serena tried to calm her teacher down.

"We just want to see you happy," Amy added.

Miss H started to cry. "You kids really care about me?"

Lita spoke up next. "You're our teacher. Of course, we care about you, most of us anyway," she laughed.

("What are you girls doing? Mr. Yoshiro's not teaching anything today.")

("Miss Haruna's crying.") Mina actually sounded happy when she said that.

("Are you guys really that bad?") Michelle asked.

("She's crying because she's happy,") Serena added.

("Happy about what?") Amara questioned.

("It's because we care about her,") Lita answered.

"Forget the summary. I'm giving you all a free 100 for the day."

The class cheered.

("Darien, is it okay if I meet you later? I just remembered something I have to do.")

("Yeah, sure. I'll meet you at your house?")

("It shouldn't take too long. I'll let you know when I'm done.")

("Okay, see you then.")

("Sorry.")

("Don't worry about it. It's no problem.")

The bell rang for the end of school.

("Please hurry!") the voice said sounding terrified.

("Where do I find you?")

("I'll find you just please come alone.")

("But my friends can help.")

("No, they cannot. Please, just come alone and find a dark place.")

"I'll see you guys later," Serena said to her friends as she left the classroom. Then she found the darkest place she could find outside of school.

"Are you alone?"

"Who are you?"

"My name is Rita but my servants call me Master Rita."

("I have a bad feeling about this…") "What do you need help with?"

("I am taking over your body and then Earth!") Master Rita then possessed the unsuspecting Serena.

She started to scream. ("Someone, help me!") Serena cried out silently.

("No one can hear you,") Master Rita replied.

Serena's final words before she fainted were for Darien to help her.

("I'm coming Serena!") He sensed her in danger and quickly got on his bike to find Serena.

("Such power! I can feel my strength coming back.")

Darien found Serena in the ally. "Serena, are you okay?"

"No, she is not," Master Rita replied in a mix of Serena's and her own voice.

"Who are you?! What did you do to her?!"

"I have taken over her body. Shadow Warriors, I summon you!"

The Shadow Warriors appeared then kneeled in front of Master Rita. "We await your orders, Master Rita."

"Give her back! Get out of her body, now!"

Master Rita just laughed evilly. "Now why would I do that? I still have use for this weak human body. You can have it back once I'm done."

("Not if I can help it!") He tried to attack Master Rita but one of the Shadow Warriors blocked his path.

"You can't touch me because I know you won't do anything to harm this body."

("Grrr…")

"What should we do with him, Master Rita?" another one of the Shadow Warriors softly asked her.

She put Darien unconscious. "Now that he is out of the way, go wreak havoc in the city!"

"Yes, Master Rita." They all bowed to her then went into the city.

Master Rita laughed as she started to hear the screams of the people in the city. ("No one can stop me.")
