Chapter 15: Aspirations in Austria

Monday May 9th Japan time

When we last left the Kurosaki team they had visited the headquarters of Kurosaki-Ishida Enterprises. While there they found a mole in the company and was summarily dismissed. Afterwards, they helped out at a fishery to bring several fish species back. But sinister plans are in the works as word got to them that the man that was fired was killed when his brake lines were cut. This made the news and cast some suspicion on Kurosaki-Ishida but was dismissed when it was determined it was a rental car not a company car so the police agreed on a brake failure being deemed the cause of the accident.

Now they were in relaxation mode knowing that in the next couple of days they would started one of the longest stretches in Grand Prix history. Eight Weeks, Seven Countries, 20,000 Miles from May 15th in Austria to July 2nd at Daytona.

Andrew though was not worried about that he was still thinking about something else. Namely what he should do for charitable donations. And the best way in his mind was to set up one himself. When he proposed this idea to his team on Realm Quest it descended into an argument. It was quite comical really.

"He should do something with food I mean he has a stomach that can rival mine." Justin said.

"Use your head I think he should have a bachelor auction." Mary retorted.

"NO! This is for Autism there is nothing Manly about a Bachelor Auction. Besides I don't think an auction like that would benefit in anyway."

The arguments continued as Andrew watched with a sweatdrop. Turning around to see Tatsuki giggling.

"Your friends are funny." Was all she said when she recovered.

Andrew groaned. "Alright enough. We need to decide on something please."

"This is hard enough as it is Andrew. It's not like you can use video games as charity organization." Jonathon said.

A light bulb went off on Andrew's head. "Hold on a second guys." A moment later the mansion was treated to a loud cursing coming from Andrew's room.

Andrew recovered. "Alright I'm back. So let's go the video game route. How are we going to do this.

"I think we should do a live stream but with our time difference and your upcoming schedule it will be hard." Peter said.

"I think I might know someone who might help." Emma said walking over. When they turned to her she continued. "There's this guy on YouTube called Markiplier. He does these crazy videos that are super hilarious. Anyway he does these charity live streams where he plays games to raise money.

Andrew gave it some thought. "Okay so where do I find him."

"You're in luck. They are doing a stream now. They are currently in Fairy Tail territory at a mission hall.

Andrew nodded. "John, Mary come with me. Peter request permission for three to pass into that territory.

Mary nodded and a few minutes later they were on their way.

Markiplier 3rd POV

At the guild hall there five characters that did not belong to Fairy Tail guild. This was the small time guild, Happy Wheels. This group consisting of five Let's Players who were good friends off line were doing a live stream of their adventures and right now they were going through their debacle of an opening sequence.

"Wade is it so hard to pick a mission of my proness." A snide voice sounded from a samurai with slicked up hair and bugged out eyes. The gamer tag read Markiplier. Despite his snide voice, Mark, his real name, was a really nice guy. (Remember 60 years up Mark was born at the same time as Ichigo and Andrew. Also pretend he is still in Cincinnati)

"Well sorry but most of these are really high ranking quests. The lowest one I can find is a monster hunting quest." Said the big red knight character with the tag Lord Minion 777. The aforementioned Wade was complaining as he looked at the board and then gave up.

"Yeah we said we weren't going to do those Mark stop being a D*****." Said a male voice. The character was a spell caster with the tag Mysukrm. This was Bob.

Mark sighed. "Well we need to show the viewer's something otherwise this live stream is getting us nowhere.

"Well Mark we need to decide on something. Maybe we can try an A-rank mission and be crazy like we always do." Said a British sounding voice. The voice came from some sort of beast tamer with the tag Yamimash.

"I know Yami its just we had all of this planned out and now we are stuck." Mark said sighing. Wade was doing something crazy only to get smacked by one of the guild members and a brawl ensued.

Mark ran back to avoid the carnage. "Well that's just great one of legendary Fairy Tail brawls started up because of Wade." He saw Wade's avatar beaten up. "Great job Wade." He said sarcastically. Wade was about to retort when all activity stopped.

"Wait what's going on?" Bob said as he was walking over. They turned to the guild door to see three new avatars in the guild hall. One was a Samurai named Thunder Samurai 78, one was a medic named Mad Dog 48 and the third was a warrior with garnet and gold armor clothing and a large sword on his back. The tag read Garnetosprey91.

"Wow they must be pretty important for this guild to calm down like that." Yami said.

A British sounding female voice who was dressed a cat girl thief with the tag Magna Minx gasped.

"Guys I know who those three are. Thunder Samurai is a legend for his speed and kills. Sweet Princess 120 is known for healing massive amounts of HP and is capable of wiping out multiple enemies in one spell. But the last one I thought he was a rumor. Guess I haven't played this enough but that's Garnetosprey91 aka the number two ranked player in the game aka the reason we can be in this guild right now he controls this territory. Those are three members of the American Blue Braves.

Everyone on the stream had this awestruck faces as they saw the three legends of the game in this guild while they were there.

"Ladies and Gentleman, if there is a Markiplier in this mission hall right now. I would like to talk to him and perhaps convince him and his guild to join us on an S-Class quest."

Mark was speechless for once in his life. "Uh…I'm Markiplier." He replied.

Andrew turned is avatar towards Mark. "Good. John grab us a mission. Let me talk with Mark privately."

Mark motioned his friends to be quiet. "So…what does the great Garnetosprey91 want with little old me." He said snidely.

Andrew smiled from his end. "A couple of my guild mates are fans of yours and I wonder if I can get your assistance on something."

Mark pursued the thought. "Ok…but no butt stabbing." Andrew chuckled.

"I should view some of your videos. But I digress. See I am sure you have heard of my offline name Andrew Michaels.

Wade gasped. "The Grand Prix driver?! Wow I am a big fan of yours.

Mark rolled his eyes. "Shut up Wade. So Andrew was it? What do you want me to help with?"

"I want to set up a livestream for a charity I want to start. It's going to involve video games and it will support Autism.

Mark chuckled. "Well I don't know if I am an expert on these things but it is nice to see a celebrity of your status giving to the community. So tell you what I am looking at the schedule and I know you're going to be busy and so am I. So let's exchange stuff after this quest is over and will keep in touch. I am thankful you came to me to help. Now let's go bust this monster. RAGGHH!" Mark ran his avatar out the door. John had come over with a quest acceptance screen.

Andrew turned to Mark's guild. "Is he always like that?"

"You have no idea." The rest of Mark's guild said as they followed Mark.

For the next two hours, The Happy Wheels guild and the members of the Braves Guild chatted and did crazy things. The Braves guild was amazed at the sheer craziness this guild went through especially when Mark "Attacked" Wade for stealing a treasure he earned. The quest was evidently a dungeon and was thankful for Mary because Happy Wheels guild made several stupid mistakes and died more often than not. The dungeon was cleared with new friendships made and plans for the future.

Red Bull Headquarters Thursday Austria Time

A black Porsche pulled up to the headquarters of the drinking giant. The entire team was called in to the headquarters after what a valuable piece of their history was stolen from the museum. A brown haired make in a grey polo and slacks stepped out and ran inside. This was Jason Vettal a local of the area and descendent of the F1 champion Sebastian Vettal. He arrived on the third floor where he ran to the conference room.

"I got here as fast as I could, what's going on?" Vettal said.

A middle aged man with German feature looked at him, this was the owner, Christian Heinrich. "Glad to see you all here. As you know three days ago, the suit that belonged to Felix Baumgartner was stolen from our museum. The press is having a field day with this even blaming you guys because you appear to be the only ones with motive to steal it.

A smack on the table came from the tall man with black hair in grey shirt and khakis. This was the other Jason, Jason Webber. He was Australian by birth and his ancestry included sports car and F1 champ Mark Webber.

"We would never think of stealing that. Why would the press think that?" Webber asked.

"The press are idiots. They want to write a story that sells. When a team is under suspicion like this, they have all the ammunition they need." Said a suave British voice. Looking at the blue shirted man from first appearances he would be African but he was British both in ancestry and in citizenship. His grandfather was world Champion Lewis Hamilton who was the first African ethnic to with the F1 Championship.

Webber looked at Hamilton. "Look mate we aren't accusing anyone here but with the time of crime with all of four of us in town kind of cast a little doubt even though are alibis check out."

Hamilton sighed at that. Christian though brought their attention back to him. "Look settle down everyone. Interpol is trying its best but there are no leads right now until then we need to stay focused on the race."

There was a tense couple of minutes before the phone in the middle of the conference table rang.

"Are you expecting a call sir?" Ralph inquired.

Christian walked over to the phone and put it on speaker. "This is a private line so how did you get this line."

"Now Christian that's no way to talk to a fellow team owner" Said a deep voice with an Asian accent.

"Who is this? This isn't Byakuya or Isshin…wait a minute Souske Aizen how the heck did you get this number?"

"The internet is such a fascinating place don't you agree. But that is not the point of this call. Tell me have you found any leads on the suit that was stolen?"

"You should know that by now if you have read the news you bastasrdo." The one who spoke was a Hispanic man in white dress shirt and khakis. This was Flippe Massa III the grandson of Brazilian driver Flippe Massa.

"Patience young Massa. I have been following the news but not because I am concerned about the welfare of the suit. Rather how my plan has been unfolding.

Putting the pieces together all the drivers came to the same conclusion but it was Vettal that expressed it.

"YOU SON OF $!&$*! HOW DARE YOU STEAL FROM THIS COMPANY!"

"Now, Now. I watch that temper of yours Mr. Vettal. After all we wouldn't want any accidents right?"

Christian looked at Vettal. "You be quiet. Aizen what do you want?"

"Right down to business huh Mr. Heinrich…(chuckle) very well. The next race is in Austria correct? Well I have two demands. The first concerns two of our competitors, the Kuchiki and the Kurosaki teams. I want you to…persuade them to leave the race.

Webber spoke. "You're saying we have to wreck them? Intentionally!? Are you nuts we will get in trouble."

"And until my drivers made a mistake we did the same thing at Road America. But that's beside the point. Can you comply too these demands?"

Christian looked around the room and saw the worried looks of the drivers. He turned back to the phone.

"We will see what opportunity presents its self. But we can be a bit more aggressive if we have to."

"Remember your targets are the other two Japanese teams. Now then my other stipulation. When it comes down to us at the end of the race…let us by."

Massa who was simmering with rage exploded. "Okay that's it! We have morals here and what's preventing us from reporting you to the authorities."

"Go ahead tell the authorities. And while you are in prison for stealing this suit I will be winning this year's grand prix.

Ralph stood up and yelled. "You're blackmailing us!? For Something You Did!"

"(Chuckle) Well as you know the media can be leeches. Throw a little smoke and mirrors and they will believe anything. Now where would the company be if this company-backed team if they were the ones to steal something so valuable.

Christian groaned. "They would be forced to cut us and because of the rule with the points being combined by only the drivers that started each race we would be in a large hole. That rule is the only reason you won the year Kaien died. (To clarify, the combined team points are only from the drivers that start the season. If a different driver starts then they would get the points but it would not go to the team because it was not a driver that signed up at the beginning of the season. That's why Kuchiki lost the year Kaien died. Kaien started the year, but because he died his points stream was cut off and Kuchiki lost by less than 50 points.)

Vettal stood up causing the chair he was in to clatter to the floor. "You're essentially dooming us to regulation if we don't follow your orders. You sick twisted bastard why would you do this?"

"Rest assured you are not the only team I have ruined. As for why…you don't need to know that. I will see you at the track."

The call ended leaving the room in silence. Christian was the first to break it. "I trust this conversation doesn't leave the room." With that he dismissed the group to prepare to drive towards the track.

Outside the meeting the drivers had solemn expressions on their faces. Flippe was the first to speak after kicking the wall.

"That damn bastard why does he have to do this to us. I want to make avô (Portuguese for Grandpa. Remember he's Brazilian) proud but even he had morals when it came to this."

Ralph looked at the young man. "I know how you feel Flippe." An image of four drivers were superimposed over images of the Red Bull team. "All four of us had grandfathers in F1. Four rather famous ones for that matter. Mark Webber, Sebastian Vettal, my own grandfather, Lewis Hamilton and the first Flippe Massa. All former world champions in the F1. Imagine how Jessica Rosburg, Ralph Hamilton and Fransesca Alonso would feel. They also have champions in their blood." The images changed to the Ferrari drivers with their grandparents over them.

"Let's not forget the American drivers. Most of them have a NASCAR champion or a famous driver in their linage." Vettal said as the image changed to Serenity Gordon in front of a brown-haired blue-eyed driver. Then the image changed to Archie Stewart with a rough looking brown-haired man behind him. "The only drivers without a significant racing background are the Japanese teams." The Kurosaki drivers are then shown with serious expressions. "The Kurosaki drivers especially. All four are first-generation drivers that were put together because of their familiar bonds. But they have proven they can hang with us. Four wins in eight racers.

They walked in silence out to their cars. Webber though had one more question. "What did Kurosaki do that caused Souske to hate them?"

The others stopped. Vettal turned to his less mature teammate. "I don't know. As far as I can tell they have done nothing to tick off Souske drivers. Though Kuchiki is a different story."

Ralph chuckled. "I don't know what got into Soi Fong's bonnet but Andrew had a right to be ticked off at her. But the vibe I get from the other six is they are friendly rivals." Ralph turned to his teammates. "Whatever happens, they don't need to know this. Come on we have a race to get to."

The others nodded hesitantly and got into their cars to head to the track.

At the same time thousands of miles away Aizen was preparing to leave his office to head to Austria. He turned to Gin who was in the office with him.

"We leave in twenty minutes for the airport make sure to pack-up Gin."

Aizen left the room leaving Gin to his own devices. Gin looked at the phone on the desk and then pulled out a thumbdrive and stuck it into the phone. Taking the last conversation on this phone he quickly went to his office and stuck it into his computer. Uploading the file to an e-mail he sent it off and then deleted all traces of the e-mail. Pulling out his pone he dialed a number.

"Gin this better be good." Byakuya said from the other line. From the tone of his voice he was forced to whisper meaning he was more than likely on his way to the track. Byakuya looked at the file and then listened to the conversation via a headset.

"…Is this legitimate?"

Gin nodded. "Yep…was in the room myself to hear it. What are you going to do?"

"…I will forward this to Isshin. Maybe he can get their reporters to help. I will talk to mine to see if this can be resolved. You know your part in this?"

Gin nodded. "Yea making sure to keep an eye on the Red Bull cars and offer a little assistance to Kuchiki team.

"Good….She misses you, you know."

Gin sadly sighed. "I know I miss her too. Tell her that whatever I did to her in the past I am sorry."

"Noted. I'll send flowers and candy for you as well."

Gin smiled his trademark smile. "You know for a stick in the mud you are a nice guy you know that Kuchiki-san."

"(Sigh)…must be the paternal instincts flaring up in me. I will see you in Austria." (click)

Gin sighed and picked up his laptop. "Rangiku…what I do to secure a future for us. The path to hell is always paved with good intentions." He said as he hurriedly went to catch his ride.

Friday Austria time two hours before qualifying

The Kurosaki team with their cars and their full contingent arrived late in the afternoon the previous day. Setting up their equipment they were told that because of the size of the pit road they would have to share with one of their teammates (Only 18 stalls. This will play a part in the race) So Ichigo was put with Andrew and Chad was put with Uryuu it got quite crowded with the four crews being crammed into two pit stalls. Of course with them in proximity things got a little hectic.

"WATCH IT BALDY YOU ALMOST HIT ME!" Hiyori yelled at Shinji throwing a wrench at him. Hitting him, Shinji immediately retaliated with a tire which was dodged and hit Kensei and it degenerated from there.

The drivers looked at their crew with a sweatdrop. Ichigo rubbed his head in annoyance. "Where did we find those guys? They are worse than dad."

Orihime giggled. "I think it's wonderful they can have this camaraderie like this."

Andrew shook his head. "Yeah, whatever. Anyway I have to see Dr. Unohana to make sure I don't have any lingering issues from that wreck at Indy." He said as he turned around

Chad stepped forward. "Do you mind if I come with you? I would like to see nurse Kotestu."

The group rolled their eyes. Like Ichigo and Andrew, Chad had gotten closer to a girl this one was nurse Kotestu and in at least Orihime's eyes they looked great together. Walking over to the care center they saw the Doctor and Nurse combo finishing setting up.

Andrew knocked on the door to get their attention. "Hey Dr. Unohana. Do you mind looking at my back real quick I would like to be sure it's okay.

Retsu smiled. "Of course I was actually going to talk to the officials about clearing you before you race. Come on back. Isane why don't you entertain our guest."

Isane nodded as she watched her sempai walk away. She turned to Chad and blushed under his gaze.

"So…when did you decide to go into medicine Nurse Kotestu."

Isane smiled and sat down. "It's Isane in private. But to answer your question Chad I guess it was an interest from an early age. I was self-conscious of my figure I mean what man wants a 6 foot woman so I went for fields out of the public eye. Kiyone was always the outgoing type in our family. Our parents though they limited means supported us. When I wanted to go medical school, my parents didn't know how they would support me. Dr. Unohana was one of my professors at the University of California Los Angeles and she saw my plight. So with my parent's blessing she took me on as her apprentice and well here I am." Isane said with a shy smile. "It has its perks I mean I get to see my sister and we help people like your friend and the fans. Anyway what's your story?" Isane asked curiously.

Chad looked up stoically. "My parents were abnormal for a Japanese citizenship. My mother was Mexican and my father was Japanese. I guess that's where I get my height from. Anyway, my parents died when I was young and my grandpa took me in. I…was not the nicest person growing up. I was picking fights because of my size and bullying people. It took till my albuelo defending me from some punks wanting revenge that got my act straightened out. After he passed away…I didn't have a lot of purpose in my life. So at 15, I was shipped back to Japan where I started taking up street racing. About eighteen months later, I was dominating the underground race scene when I was busted by the cops." Getting Isane to gasp. "I was looking at several years of jail time for a variety of charges but then walked in Isshin Kurosaki."

Flashback

Chad was sitting in a chair in an interrogation room looking stoic. He had been busted when the cops raided the race. Someone had sold them out and as a result he and several other drivers were arrested. Now he was awaiting the lead interrogator to begin his inevitable insults. And considering his heritage it was not going to be pretty. The door opened and Chad looked up. He widened his eyes, instead of cops there was a business man and a man looking like a deranged scientist.

"Hello Mr. Yasotora." The business man said cheerfully. Chad looked at him with a curious gaze. "I am Isshin Kurosaki and this is my associate Kisuke Urahara. Do you know who we are?"

Chad kept his gaze stern. "Not off hand but you look like an important business man so what do you want with a street thug."

Isshin lost his smile and became serious. He sat down and Kisuke handed him a file.

"Multiple infractions of reckless endangerment…speeding in construction zone…destruction of property…driving with a headlight out…and driving underage. That last one is a felony charge that combined with everything else could see you at the Maggot's nest."

Chad said nothing but inside he was a little frightened. Maggot's Nest was reserved for the worst criminals. It was located off the cost Honshu near the Mie Prefecture. It was known for its difficulty to escape because of its isolation similar to America's Alcatraz.

Isshin closed the file. "Other than the reckless stuff you haven't really hurt anyone. You're not a drug trafficker unlike some people these guys have busted and most people have gotten in races was bruises.

Chad looked at Isshin. "I formed a street gang to protect the people in my neighborhood. I had two rules, no drugs and no innocents. We actually raced a few times to protect people."

Isshin smiled. "I know…one of the people you saved was my daughter Yuzu." Isshin said holding out a picture of his then 9 year old daughter.

Chad widened his eyes behind his hair. "I remember her she was picked up off the streets on her way home from school. One of my gang members saw the kidnapping and chased after them. He called me and we set up a race. Despite their attempts to cheat I was able to win against their leader. They attempted to kill her but the cops, I guess called by you came in and thought we were going to be busted but they let us go."

Isshin smiled. "She would like to thank her savior if she ever met you. After that incident I monitored you with a plant. Don't worry he wasn't the one that ratted you out." Chad was cut down before he could protest.

"What do you want from me?" Chad asked.

Kisuke spoke up. "We have seen your driving style and we want to hire your services. We are putting a team together with Isshin's son and nephew to race in the World Grand Prix. We hope in the next year or so we start in one of the Japan tiers with plans to jump to the Grand Prix in a few years.

Chad widened his eyes. "You want a street criminal to work for you? I am sure that a CEO, I'm guessing that's what you are, doesn't want me racing for them.

Isshin chuckled. "My wife believed in second chances. As far as I am concerned, if you take the deal, I am not asking a street criminal to drive for me. I am asking a man who has seen too much in his young life to trust again."

Chad widened his eyes. He was getting a get out of jail free card and he was going to get paid to drive.

"I…will do it. I will race for you Mr. Kurosaki." Chad said with the first smile he had in a very long time."

Isshin smiled and motioned for the cops to release him. He held out his hand which Chad shook. "Welcome to Kurosaki-Ishida Enterprises."

End flashback

"And from then on I was contracted to the Kurosaki team. I made friends with both Uryuu and Ichigo and eventually Andrew when we visited the states. My purpose is to repay their faith in me by racing and helping this team succeed."

Isane smiled. "That story was nice. Thank you for sharing." Chad said nothing but squeezed Isane's hand.

Retsu and Andrew walked out. "Alright your back looks fine but please be careful have a back-up driver just in case it gets bad."

"Thanks sensei. I hope I don't visit here too often. But that's the hazards of the job I guess." Andrew said walking towards Chad. "See you later hopefully not at a doctor's office. Come on Chad say good-bye to your girlfriend." This got the two to blush and Isane bowed and left with Dr. Unohana.

They walked out and started talking about a random topic when Chad noticed something off to the side.

"Isn't that one of the Red Bull drivers, Jason Vettal?"

Andrew looked and saw he looked a little jumpy. "Yeah…Yo Vettal!" Said driver perked up.

"What's up you look a little down?" Andrew looked at him a concerned look.

Vettal panicked on the inside but outside he kept a calm façade. "Oh nothing…just my home track and the pressure is a little overwhelming."

Andrew chuckled. "You got to relax man. Be like your teammate Webber he knows to be fun."

Webber shook his head. "Sometimes I wish he would take things seriously. Excuse me gentlemen we need to get ready for qualifying." Vettal said brushing them aside.

"I don't think it's the race." Chad said watching him walk away.

"I think your right but the question is what?" Andrew pondered. He looked over to see Grimmjow looking even more egotistical. He then saw Souske who was talking with one of the reporters. Seeing him finished they walked away before he could spot them.

"Souske is giving off that vibe they are up to something. I might be paranoid though." Andrew as they walked back to their pit.

An hour later they were all getting ready for qualifying. Andrew would be in the first session, Chad in the third session, Ichigo would be in the fourth session and Uryuu would be in the last session. When Andrew took the track he was driving behind one of the Red Bull Porsches. From the start of the session, Porsche just took off. Jason Vettal who was the one driving the wheels off the car coming within a second of the track record. Andrew despite liking the straights had an issue on the loop turn and it killed a lot of his momentum. By the time he came in he was grumbling.

"This is seriously like Darlington you either set up for entry or exit you can't set up for both and I really hate that. Plus the altitude changes are insane.

Kisuke placated the young man. "Relax it's a fast track, it might not matter."

After the second session in which Gin blistered through qualifying coming within two tents of breaking the track record, Chad went out in the next session which was marred by a wreck by Rebecca Kirkland. Chad did not have a good session and finished last in the session considering that one driver didn't finish. All of the Kurosaki drivers seem to have a similar issue. It was a mixed day for most of the teams as the tricky Austria circuit was throwing many people off their games. In the end Gin stayed on top with Jessica Rosburg in second and hometown hero Jason Vettal in third.

Sunday May 15th

Gin stepped out of the trailer in the predawn hours in the Austrian mountains. He looked around and proceeded to sneak around to the Kuchiki trailer. Byakuya was looking at the mountains not even noticing the intruder.

"Well?" Byakuya asked not turning around to face the man.

"Aizen is bringing the suit here. The Red Bull team is going to be allowed to see it before the race."

Byakuya said nothing for a few moments. "I will pass the message onto Isshin. Perhaps we could use one of the drivers that get knocked out early to beat this."

Gin sighed. "That's a big risk. There is no telling what or when they get could get knocked out."

Byakuya finally turned to Gin. "I don't care. If I choose to lose, I rather it be on skill then being manipulated."

Gin raised his hands. "Sorry Byakuya-san. Anyway the thieves are at the track masquerading as a camera crew for Germany so someone needs to keep an eye out for them.

Byakuya nodded and Gin took that as his cue to leave. They left unknown to the spy from atop one of the trailers. Andrew had finished his morning workout and was on top of the plane hauling the equipment admiring the sunrise when he saw Gin walking over to the Kuchiki hauler. Observing them for a few moments with a calculating gaze he watched them separate and head back to their haulers.

"I thought Ichimaru and Kuchiki-san had a huge falling out." Andrew said quietly. He shook his head. "I am really reading into this too much. Ugh." He looked down at his phone to see it still loading something.

"Damn mountains…finally, let's see." Andrew said as a news site came up on his phone. "Hm…No leads on suit theft, they are still on that. Sigh…Red Bull doesn't deserve this press."

"Hey Andrew let's go. Four hours to race time." Ichigo called out from below the plane.

"Yeah…I'm coming." Andrew replied. Looking down at his IPod he scrolled and found a song to play. An electronic beat started playing.

Ichigo began dressing in his suit. Looking in the mirror he saw Orihime looking with a small smile which got him to smile as well.

Chad was in the room praying. He got up and looked at picture on the nightstand. It was a picture of his team at a local bar before the season started. He had a small smile on his face

Chad's face was instantly replaced by Aizen's evil grin as he looked at the Red Bull drivers who looked mad at Aizen. He showed them a picture of the suit they wanted back as Aizen clarified their objective.

In the garage area multiple teams were setting up their equipment and moving their cars onto the grid as the sun began shining down on the track.

In the fan area most of the drivers were signing autographs. Many of the fans had smiles as they got to see their favorite drivers.

In the media area the three main networks were already setting up for their broadcast. One truck in the media center was not setting up for a broadcast. The robbers from the museum heist were laughing as they watched a funny program. In a glass case hung the Baumgartner suit which was still in good condition. They would monitor the race for anything outside of the plan.

The driver's meeting went off smoothly and as they were dismissed the Kurosaki drivers looked at the Red Bull drivers again some of them were still looking reserved about something. But they shook it off to get ready for the race.

(End previous song begin Beautiful Day by U2. Don't own it either)

"Racing is meant to be enjoyed in sunny weather. With so many races in many different locals when it's a great day nothing gets a fan more excited for a race than a picturesque day. Whether it's Forests, Oceans, Deserts or even in the heart of a city (Images of Road America, Korea, Abu Dhabi and Indianapolis) fans will flock to the track when the weather is great.

In any season a win in any weather will always make for a great day for the winner. (Serenity and Uryuu winning in the rain. Andrew winning in the heat of Abu Dhabi.) This might be the first race of a long stretch of racing…but it could not have started in a better place where the mountains here have inspired for centuries.

The chorus sounded as the camera zoomed in over the superimposed track. Welcome to Austria

American Booth (Play Fox Intro music)

As the camera pans around the track Jeremy opens the dialogue.

Jeremy: A beautiful day greets us in the historic Austria. Welcome to round 8 of the World Grand Prix.

The camera pans to the booth. "Good Morning, Good Evening, Good Afternoon wherever you are in the world. Welcome to the Red Bull Ring in the scenic Styria region of Austria. This is the first of eight, you heard right, eight straight races." A map with locations marked with different cities is sown with a red line between this track and a spot on the Black Sea. "We finish here we head to Sochi, Russia next Saturday for the first night race of the season. Then over Memorial Day weekend we will be racing at the redone but still famed Monaco circuit then to kick off June we will race in Spain for another night race the day before the World Cup begins. June 12th we will be in Britain at the famous Silverstone Circuit. Father's Day weekend we will be at Watkins Glen in New York then the 26th we will be in Montreal. Finally, Fourth of July weekend we will be at Daytona for another night race.

Nate: Wow that is a long stretch. I feel by the Spain race we might have an idea who is a real contender and who isn't. This stretch which is only for this year will test a driver and his team mentally and physically. This will be fun to watch."

Jeremy: Before we look to the future let's look at the past as we take a look at the race at Indianapolis.

(Begin Montage)

Nate: The race began with all thirty-six cars but the end of the race ad only half as multiple drivers collided spun out or had mechanical issues. This was truly a battlefield this year.

Jeremy: Speaking of wrecks a particularly scary wreck on lap thirty for one of our contenders.

Nate: He said he misheard his spotter but whatever happened he collided with Soi Fong twice and sent her into the inside wall while he collided with the outside wall at over 180 MPH. He collided with the force of 4G's. Thank god for the safety improvements in the cars, the walls and the medical techniques.

Jeremy: Yes indeed. Pit problems plagued many drivers including Marcus Andretti as we see here on the first pit stop. (Shows Marcus leaving with the wrench still in the car.) Problems like this plagued multiple drivers and with the Andretti clan it felt like their curse struck again. But Marcus recovered very well and fought through traffic and wrecks to climb his way up to settle on the podium. But then as Archie Stewart and Grimmjow Jaegerjaquez are battling for the lead at then collide just as they take the white flag and both end up in the pit wall and who is there to take it but Marcus Andretti and the celebration was emotional up and down pit road. Look here Andrew Michaels reaching in to congratulate him.

Nate: Wow what a win for the entire Andretti clan. Our correspondent Jermaine Ferguson is with our most recent winner Jermaine?

Jermaine: Thank you Nate. Marcus you won at Indianapolis a track that has given your family fits for over a century. How are you feeling with a weight of your shoulders?

Marcus: That race was insane. I thought I was done because of that whole wrench issue and the fact that we were mired in the pack. But I got mental help from a friendly voice that wasn't my crew chief and well I was put back into focus. I just dug in and with a little luck especially at the end I finally got a win for this Stewart-Haas Team and the Andretti family.

Jermaine: Thank you for that hopefully the luck carries over. Marcus starts 21st.

Japan Booth

Kommamura: Now we turn our attention to safety. Andrew Michaels' wreck at Indianapolis should have sidelined him this week. Today he starts 11th and has a back-up driver just in case but he is still in this race. Kiyone is with Andrew who is smiling.

Kiyone: Thanks sempai. Andrew a scary wreck at Indianapolis that you walked away from. But you're going to be allowed back into the car. How does that make you feel?"

Andrew: (Chuckled) Well I am glad that I can race again. It was definitely top 5 in hardest crashes I ever had but I thank the safety innovations on the wall in the Kurosaki Honda I am glad that the only thing I suffered was a sore back. Fortunately, Dr. Unohana cleared me on Friday and well let's hope this track doesn't cause it to flare up." He said jokingly.

Kiyone: We can only hope so. Andrew rolls off 11th.

After a few more segments and the pre-race ceremonies the drivers were strapping into their cars. Andrew was adjusting his straps and he glanced over at the Red Bull driver next to him, Ralph Hamilton. He saw the crew chief speaking some final words to him.

"Focus Andrew." Kisuke said sternly. Andrew looked at Kisuke. "I know you're curious but you need to focus on your race." He said walking away. Tatsuki walked over. "Stress ain't good for ya you know?" Andrew rolled his eyes under the helmet. "Look if it makes you content I will keep an eye on them."

Andrew nodded and the net was pulled up.

Chad was strapped as he listened to Yoruichi give some last minute advice. He looked across and saw Aizen talking with his driver Ulquiorra. He saw him glance over to the pit wall but was not sure where he was looking.

Aizen walked along the pit road and came up to one of the designated Red Bull pits. He glanced at Kristen who could only look away. Aizen smiled sinisterly. 'All according to plan

"DRIVERS. START. YOUR. ENGINES!"

The thirty-six roared to life as the 100,000 fans cheered them on.

American Booth

Jeremy: As the thirty-six cars roll down for the pace laps let us go over the race parameters today.

Nate: This is a 153 lap race to cover four hundred miles on this 2.6 mile elevated course. This will be the last four hundred miler until we reach Daytona. Pit window is about 28-30 laps but be wary of people taking a gamble near the end.

Jeremy: Three things to keep an eye on. The first is the pit road. They only have eighteen stalls so each team is forced to only use two pits. They are based on your two highest placed drivers. So Gin who is paired Tier would be in the first stall while the Ferraris of Jessica Rosburg and George Schumacher are in the second stall. What this does, is it forces the teams to time when they bring their assigned drivers in. That could get messy especially under caution.

Nate: The second think is the elevation. This is a very steep climb and drop. That puts pressure on the transmissions and the suspension. That is combined with the g-forces experienced by both car and driver. It puts wear on the tires and on the body. A race as long as this is going to wear on the drivers a lot and there might be some equipment failures.

Jeremy: The last thing is that this track is narrow especially on the restarts this could cause a bottle neck if the wrong driver spins the tires. Otherwise this could be just like Indianapolis.

One lap later the cars came around to take the green flag as the bottleneck at the start was avoided as they slowed down into the first turn. That was quickly squashed as they tried to slow down to enter turn one, several cars spun which forced other cars to get out of the way. Gin led tem up the hill while climbing all the way up to seventh gear. Going up to turn two he slowed down and turned to head back down the hill to turn three opening up on the throttle before slowing down almost all the way into turn three. Behind him the other racers were still straightening themselves out as they headed towards the roundabout. Gin led them through the last couple of turns and then down the pit road stretch.

Japan Booth

Kommamura: As we complete lap Gin Ichimaru opens up a bit of a gap on the second place battle with the Audi of Brian Mcnish and the Ferrari of Jessica Rosburg. Further back they are still straightening themselves out.

After about two more laps the field settled down and Gin was still in the lead but the lead was shrinking. On lap 8 Mcnish who had been gaining on Gin set up to pass him in turn four and then through an inside to outside pass completed the pass coming out of turn 6.

Gin had a mock worried look behind his helmet. "Oh dear I guess Mcnish has a fast car. Oh well it's a long race.

"Stay focused Gin. This race is a long one." Gin's crew chief Coyote Staark said.

"Maa…Staark you can be a buzzkill." Gin said as he slowed down for turn one.

American Booth

Jeremy: Great piece of driving by Mcnish and he takes the lead heading down the pit stretch.

Nate: This track is really hard to set up for because of how f

Further back Ralph was fighting it out with Grimmjow. Andrew and Ikkaku were right behind him. Ralph looked behind him and back off slightly as they headed into turn 3. This slowdown forced the two drivers to go wide and lose a bunch of momentum.

"God damn it! Those two cars are giving me a migraine!" Andrew yelled.

"Would you calm down, it's like talking to an eight year old?!" Kisuke moaned which got snickers from those in ear shot.

In Ikkaku's car he was grinning. "So you like to play rough eh?" On the next time through the corner Ikkaku sped up and tried to clip Ralph but he missed timed it and slid almost off the track.

Japan Booth

Kommamura: Aggressive move by Mandarame and he bites it as he nearly goes off course and he loses at least two spots maybe more.

Jushiro: Seems his aggressive streak from is Zaraki days have not been entirely stamped out.

On track, Andrew could only shake his head. "Where did Kuchiki get this guy?" Kisuke decided to stay silent on that.

After nine more laps the first caution came out on lap 17 when Rebecca who had a horrible weekend blew a tire and collected Alexandria Edwards in turn 2. This set up an interesting pit stop because of the size of pit road. The teams had to decide who would come in first. For the Kurosaki team Andrew and Chad elected to come down pit road first which got crowded real quick. There was a collision on pit road that involved Michael Busch and Flippe Massa. No noticeable damage on either car as they hit the side panels. On the second wave Ikkaku led them down and that was an adventure for Ichigo as right before he got into his stall, Jason Vettal who had fallen to twelfth with a tight car came out and clipped Ichigo and turned them 180 degrees and had his car facing the other way.

Isshin was about to yell but then noticed that despite the direction the car was facing he was legally in the pit stall and order his crew to perform the stop. Once finished Ichigo spun around and went back racing with little ground lost.

American Booth

Jeremy: Well that's one way to correct a mistake. (Chuckles)

Nate: The rule is all four tires have to be in the box. Does not specify which direction you have to be in to pit.

Back on track Ichigo was releasing his breath. "Well that could have been worse hahaha." Ichigo said.

"Yeah that could have been bad. Yuzu is in hysterics thought."

Ichigo rolled his eyes. "Yuzu relax this is a tight pit road."

"Okay Nee-san." Yuzu replied after a moment."

Two laps later they were back racing with Grimmjow taking the lead ahead of the chaos. Two laps later, Michael Kennseth had to pull off because his suspension was knocked loose after one bump to many.

Lap 40 Grimmjow was climbing up the hill towards turn 2. He started the turn when he applied to much front brake and forced the rear to slide out. He was able to steady himself but Jason Webber who was second was able take that position away and Grimmjow slipped to third behind his teammate Tier.

"Hehehe…later stupid cat." Webber said slowing down into the third turn.

"Great job Webber." His crew chief said to him.

Japan Booth

Kommamura: Again aggressive move backfires as Grimmjow loses the lead to the Porsche of Jason Webber.

Jushiro: Looked like too much rear brake or he turned to hard but that opened the door for Jason Webber who has a two second lead on Souske driver Tier Harribel.

On track Webber was making his way through the turns with great enthusiasm but five laps later as the fuel burned off his car started losing grip which killed his time and Tier crept up on him. On lap 41 Tier passed him going into the wide curve and she started pulling away and had a slower car in her crosshairs. The next ten laps had her lapping the field before she gave up the lead on lap 51 to begin her stop. This briefly gave Jessica Rosburg the lead as her pit was occupied by one of her teammates. Grimmjow took over after Jessica came in having completed his stop and assumed the lead.

Chad had come in and the stop was normal. As he began shifting to fifth gear the rpms suddenly dropped. He tried shifting to sixth and seventh and couldn't pick them up. Shifting back to fourth he was able to pick it up but he was considerably off the pace. He radioed to Yoruichi.

"Yoruichi I can't pick up anything higher than fourth. The transmission is not working."

"Damn it…bring it in." Yoruichi grumbled. She asked Kensei to go get Kisuke.

The slowdown did not go unnoticed by anyone.

"What's wrong with Chad?" Ichigo asked.

"I just drove by him he did not look like he was going fast. I think his engine is done." Andrew said going down the pit stretch.

"It's his transmission according to him. Mayuri is going to confirm it but I am afraid his day is done."

"Damn that's rough." Ichigo said going into turn one.

"Focus Ichigo we will worry about Chad." Isshin said.

Japan Booth

Kommamura: Yasotora in the Kurosaki 66 is slow heading up the hill. He is limping around to the pits. Kiyone what is going on?

Kiyone: (As Chad pulls in) He is saying he can't get anything above fourth gear so they are taking him behind the wall to check it out but it doesn't look good.

Jushiro (Back in booth): That is a distressing thing to have. If you can't get all the way to speed here you're going to have a rough time of it.

In the garage Mayuri and Chad's crew were under the car to look at the transmission shaft. Kensei had just pulled out and his gloves were stained red with bits and pieces on them. (Transmission Fluid is Red for reference)

Mayuri shook his head and pulled out a radio. "Isshin this is Mayuri. I am sorry to say that the transmission line is leaking and part of it is broken. I am sorry to say Chad is not racing anymore today.

Isshin sighed and acknowledged. Chad was in the middle of climbing out of the car and from Tatsuki and Orihime's perspective he didn't look too happy. They followed him back to the trailer where they waited for him to change. After ten minutes Chad had come out dress in a black Hawaiian shirt and white pants.

"You alright big guy?" Tatsuki asked.

Chad nodded. "If it's one thing it's another. (Sigh) It hurts that I am the only one with multiple DNFs.

Tatsuki gave a sympathetic smile. "That's life I guess. Come one let's head back to the pits I want one more shot of the pit crew before we hang up for the day." They started walking away before Orihime noticed something off to the side. Motioning to Tatsuki they turned to see two men walking into one of the empty garages. All three walked over and they heard an interesting conversation.

"Man why can't we go around and tour this place?" The first guy said.

"Because we are supposed to be in the production truck. Besides we are getting paid handsomely." The second guy said.

The first guy laughed. "Yeah. 50 million euros just for a suit. We will be swimming large for year.

Tatsuki narrowed her eyes. 'Suit? What suit?' She thought. Orihime had a thoughtful look. 'Suit…where did I hear about a suit?'

The second guy chuckled. "Yeah to think a guy used the suit to free fall from space and survive. That Felix Baumgartner was something. Anyway let's find that bathroom." He said as they walked away.

The trio huddled together. "That suit must be the flight suit Felix Baumgartner used. They stole the suit and someone is paying them." Tatsuki said over the roar of the engines.

"They said something about being in media area. Let's go." Chad said the girls quickly changed out of their uniforms and quickly snuck behind them. Over the next few minutes they trailed behind the robbers hiding when they saw a security guard or other people. They did this until they came up to the media vans. They saw them go into one of the vans that was supposedly the German vans. But Tatsuki knew it was a bunch of bull. She saw the press pass it did not have the logo from the Deutschland Sports National network.

They hid behind the truck for Fox and watched the fake crew move in and out. Tatsuki turned to Orihime.

"Hime I need you to find a guard or an official. Show them your pass tell them someone is in the production area without a pass."

Orihime nodded and ran. Tatsuki turned to Chad. "Let's go Chad." She said as the giant driver followed her to the faux camera crew. Hiding behind the trailer they waited until one of the robbers left and they snuck in. They saw a couple of the goons watching the race. Chad looked around and spied the suit in a display case off to the side. Tatsuki looked back and crept up on the closest one. The guy turned around and ran into Tatsuki's fist. The second one was about to attack her when Chad picked him and threw him into the wall. The third one had come back and he was quickly taken out. Taking a look around to make sure no one was still conscious they quickly made their way out. As soon as they were out of sight two guards came in and saw the unconscious robbers and they widened their eyes when they saw the suit.

Tatsuki and Chad met up with Orihime who was at a snack bar acting all innocent. She spied her friends.

"Tatsuki you're okay, so are you Chad." Orihime said bubbly.

Tatsuki nodded. "How did you get the guards to believe you?"

Orihime laughed sheepishly. "I may have mentioned four scary men wanting to kidnap me."

Tatsuki shook her head. "Come on let's head back." She turned to Chad. "Thanks man."

Chad just gave her a thumbs up as they headed back to their trailer.

In the pits Christen was dreading what was to come. The team while they have done well knew there was no way they could win as long as the suit was under Souske's control. He sighed at the thought as his team completed another set of stops on lap 125 as Ralph Hamilton gave up the lead to Grimmjow. Just then an assistant came up to him.

"Sir I think you want to hear this." He said holding up a phone. Christen went to slightly quieter area.

"This better be important." He growled.

"This is Johan. Interpol just called. The suit is back in our possession. I repeat the suit is back in our possession.

Christen acknowledged and hung up. He went back to pit with the rest of the crew looked at him worried having been told of this situation.

He got on the radio. "This is Christen. All drivers, the suit is back in our possession. The deal is off. Have at it."

There was cheering across the radio as he smiled.

Flippe got the message and recognized Ulquiorra's car not even four car lengths in front of him about to enter turn three. He angled it and applied the brakes liberally and slid into Ulquiorra forcing both into the wall bringing out the caution.

American Booth

Jeremy: And there is trouble in turn 3. Two cars in the wall. Its Massa and Cifer.

Nate: Looks like Massa went in too hard and collected Cifer but this sets up an interesting dash to the finish.

In the pits Souske looked livid. He walked over to the Red Bull pit with a calculating gaze. "I hope you do realize your suit is history now right?"

Christen smirked. "I hope you do realize that we just got it back. Your leverage over us is gone."

Souske scowled and walked away now realizing his plans were ruined.

In the cars Yuzu had radioed the rest of the crew. "Guys I heard it from the Red Bull spotter. The suit that was stolen was just returned to them.

"Wow that's great. Thanks Yuzu." Ichigo said.

"I think Flippe was over excited and wrecked Ulquiorra." Uryuu said.

"Could be but there may be more going on. Oh well." Andrew said as they discussed end of the race strategy.

They went back to racing and without blackmail being held over their heads both Webber and Vettal were free to go after the win. Webber managed to get around Grimmjow on lap 139 and hold them of Grimmjow for the win which led to an emotional victory celebration as word had spread that the suit that was stolen from them was returned to them.

As they celebrated Souske growled. "I will destroy each team one by one. Enjoy your victory because it will be your last." Souske said walking away.

What does Souske have planned? Will the Kurosaki team keep their good fortune? Fine out as the Grand Prix continues

End of Chapter:

UO: Finally this chapter fought me tooth and nail especially when I tried to not focus on the Kurosaki team. Anyway this chapter is dedicated to Lalapie203 who isn't feeling well at the moment. She is fun to talk to about Fairy Tail and other stuff. I have helped her with several things and I hope you check her stuff out as well.

New terms

Transmission: This is what lets the engine go to higher RPM's. In most cars on the road they use Automatic transmission which means the car does it automatically. Race cars are Manual which mean the driver needs to do it. Without a good transmission you can't keep your speed.

Preview: As the Grand Prix heads to the shores of the Black Sea, Souske unveils another sinister plot this time at all the racers. Who will come out on time in the land of the Tsars? Find out next time

Next time: Blackest Sea.

Now that's over, check out my buddies, Code-Emperor07, Spartan719, Vanishing Raptor, Kage Bijuu, Giratina Zero and Lalapie203. As always read review like this story and my others as well.

Anyway next update is Journeys and then I am skipping this story's turn in the rotation for 2nd Magnolia. Good thing too because it will take a while to clean up this mess. (Looks around at the carnage)

Anyway
