Chapter 17: Gambling on Monaco

Sunday May 22nd on the carrier heading back to Japan

When we last left our heroes they just had a really bad race in the Russia. Whether it was trouble on pit road or being wrecked it left the team just three points clear of Souske. While they were wrecking on the track, off the track they were getting into each other's faces off the track and now separated for the time being.

In the jet's meeting room, the post-race meeting was winding down but the tension between the lead drivers was palpable.

"Alright let's end this meeting by looking at the next race. It is on the streets of Monaco a race that dates back to before World War II. The country has expanded slightly into the Mediterranean and the track has been widened enough to allow sports cars to race on it. From the start line the cars will go up to the first turn the St. Devote turn. This is where a lot of wrecks happen and as a result they are only going to have rows of two cars. Once past the turn 1 in goes up hill through turn 2 and then a sweeping turn 3 at Massanet, Turn 4 is the Casino turn that heads into Casino Square. This then leads to the slowest turn anywhere with the Mirabeau turn at 5 and the Fairmont Hairpin at 6. There have been some tricky passes in this turn but only attempt this if you are desperate. Turns 7 and 8 are fast right handers into the tunnel which can throw off a driver's vision because of the changing light. This leads into the chicane at turns 10 and eleven. It can be tricky to keep your position at this spot if you don't take this turn right. Then a short straight before a fourth gear turn 12. Then a left right combination that takes you right by the entrance to the marina before a right left combination sets you up for the last section. A short straight before a heavy braking zone and 135 degree turn called La Rascasse. This leads to the pit road then two short turns and that's your lap at Monaco." Isshin finished.

Ryuken looked at the group. "I do not what happened out there but we need show solidarity so clear the air now. We have a short turn around because qualifying is on Thursday. That leaves Friday and Saturday to do whatever you guys want. One more thing our cars will have to be purpose built for this race so the cars might feel different. Anyway that is all dismissed.

Orihime and Tatsuki looked at their boyfriends which were unknown to the other. They had been videotaping the meeting and even they could feel the tension in the room. After a brief discussion they went to their respective boyfriends rooms after going to their room to change.

In Andrew's room, Tatsuki found him playing one of his RPG's in his pajamas. From his expression he was focusing on anything but the outside world. Observing him, Tatsuki noted that he had his IScreen, looking up what she presumed was tips for the game. It was fascinating how he could focus on two different things at once especially at a game like this. Maybe this was how he did so well racing.

After a few minutes of observing and taking a couple of shots to show part of the unwinding process and to show the current argument between them, Tatsuki decided to make her presence known by tapping the wall. Andrew looked up just after finishing a battle to notice his girlfriend looking at with a wry smile.

"So into the game that you don't notice your girlfriend." Tatsuki said.

Andrew sighed and paused the game. "What's up Tatsuki?"

Tatsuki walked up to the bed and sat down beside him. "What's going on with you and Ichigo?"

Andrew sighed. "The wreck we had kind of set him off. I was reporting a vibration and I was taking a risk to hold onto it until the end of the run and I could set myself for a good finish. Then I felt something snap and well you saw the results.

Tatsuki sighed and in a rare thing for her she wrapped her arms around Andrew feeling the muscles in his back.

Andrew sighed as he felt the embrace. "I think part of it is our difference in racing styles. I have always been more of a risk taker. One of the big reasons I was able to win many of my races. Sometimes I had a great car and I ended up 12th and other times I had a horrible car and ended up on the podium. I never told you the full story of that race that guy wrecked me and nearly ruined my career. The only reason I was in first was with about 20 laps to go I came in and only took fuel. That got me the track position and if it wasn't for the caution I might have won that race without the drama."

Andrew put his hands on his face and Tatsuki could hear him start to sniffle. "Ichigo has no idea how much we had to sacrifice, how much I had to gamble, how much blood and sweat I bleed to get this far, he had everything handed it to him If I didn't I would be in an office somewhere. Racing is my life I would go nuts if I had a day job. He has…no…idea…" and with that Andrew broke down into tears. It was disheartening to Tatsuki to see a strong man like Andrew break down like this. She let go for a minute and helped save his game and turned it off then laid Andrew on her chest and gently rubbed his hair while he cried as they fell asleep.

In Ichigo's room he was staring at the ceiling when a timid knock was heard. He got up to open the door and his scowl quickly melted into a smile as Orihime's innocent eyes met his. She let herself in and they both went to his bed and laid down with Orihime on Ichigo's shoulder.

"Are you and Andrew okay?" Orihime asked gently. Ichigo sighed. "Yeah I guess I blew up on him. The idiot should know I am only looking after him you know."

Orihime lifted her head. "You don't have to be a protector for everyone okay. He probably has done stuff like he did before and it worked out. You and he race differently. Just like you and him are different people."

Ichigo was shocked but smiled and pulled Orihime in for a gentle kiss. "How do I have such a smart girlfriend?" He asked.

Orihime giggled. "I don't know. Just your luck I guess."

Ichigo chuckled and started to rub Orihime's silky hair as they feel asleep.

On the Souske Limited Plane.

Aizen was having a sip of his wine as he examined where they were going to race the next week. If there was one Achilles heel when it came to the race team it was this legendary race. Whether it be pit road, wrecks in the closing laps or just plain bad cars no matter the level he could not win at Monaco. The lone bright spot he could find was that Kuchiki could never win here and the American teams have issues as well with only a couple of wins at this level belonging to Hendrick Motorsports and the currently at GP3 Petty Enterprises team. The Europeans especially the Ferraris and the teams that date back to the F1 days like Red Bull and McLaren had the most success in the close to 150 years that this race has taken place.

Aizen took another sip and then typed some words into the keypad. What pulled was the layout of the Monte Carlo casino.

"So the drivers want some down time huh? Well let's give them an adventure. Gin?" The silver-haired man turned to his boss. "Send out word to our contact in France. Their target is the Kurosaki drivers that will show up in Monaco by Wednesday. I would think they would take the extra day afforded them to have some fun at the casino. Make sure it is cut short."

Gin nodded and left. Aizen looked at his wine. "You might be ahead of us now Kurosaki, but we know you can't maintain this momentum through this whole season. Especially when you have to worry about yourselves on and off the track." Aizen said looking at the illegally gotten files from the Kurosaki camp. He had Loly and Menoly provide him information on the girls. But at the current moment he did not have what he needed to hurt them. He finished his wine and left his office with the pictures of the four drivers staring at him.

Monday May 23rd, Kurosaki HQ gym

The drivers despite their slight fatigue managed to get to the gym to work out their muscles. This would be the last legitimate chance they would have as the relative closeness between the Spain race in Barcelona and Monaco both distance and time wise meant they would essentially be taking a six week road trip as they would double back to Britain and then fly to the U.S and crash at Andrew's place before the next three races in North America. By the time they finish at Daytona they would be exhausted.

Ichigo had finished his bench presses and took a big drink of Gatorade. Orihime who was watching him gave him a towel. He smiled as he wiped his hair down. They heard a thump and looked up to see Andrew wearing his Taekwondo helmet and gi.

"Put those on. I want to spar with you now."

Tatsuki put a hand on his shoulder. "What the heck are you doing Andrew?"

"I need to work some stress out. Come on Ichigo I know you want a go at me."

Ichigo looked at Andrew and smirked. "Yeah you cocky little bastard let's go."

Orihime watched concerned as the two walked up to the boxing ring.

"It will be alright Hime. I think they needed this really badly." Tatsuki reassured her.

In the ring Ichigo and Andrew were set up to spar.

"Rules?" Andrew asked.

"No intentional head shots with the feet or choke holds." Ichigo said getting into a basic stance.

Andrew nodded and got into his stance and they started circling the ring. Andrew made the first move and sent a right hand at Ichigo. Blocking quickly Ichigo sent a combination of punches at Andrew's face. He held up his hands to block his face and leaned back to launch a kick which connected causing him to grunt. Andrew then started a combination of kicks that had Ichigo on the retreat and then with a sweep kick knocked the younger man down.

"What's the matter Ichigo? Why haven't you fought back?" Andrew said stepping back as Ichigo sat up.

"Where's that fire you've had on the track? Isn't your name he who protects? How can you protect Isshin, Yuzu, Karin or Orihime if you don't fight?"

At the mention of Orihime Ichigo saw red and stood up charging at Andrew and landed a punch in Andrew's gut. He launched a few more fists at Andrew's head which caused some blood to dribble down Andrew's lip He then lifted him and suplexed him, fortunately for the American the ground was soft to absorb the blow but it still hurt.

"Do not ever think Orihime is any less special than my family. What about you huh? Weren't all cocky before? What would happen if you lose Tatsuki because you can't back up your boasting?"

Andrew stood up and Ichigo though he saw his eyes change. Ichigo knew Andrew had a temper and he just realized he pressed the wrong one.

"Leave. Tatsuki. OUT OF THIS!" Andrew roared and speared Ichigo to the ground. It soon became a brawl on the ground as Andrew and Ichigo traded blows on top of each other. After about ten minutes of this they were completely exhausted.

They laid side by side faces completely battered and facing the ceiling. They glanced at each other's faces and they couldn't help it they laughed their butts off at each other's faces.

They calmed down after a minute and continued to catch their breath.

"So…how long have you been dating Tatsuki?" Ichigo asked.

Andrew sighed. "Since Japan I guess about the same time you started dating Orihime. What about you and her becoming an item?"

Ichigo glanced over and looked up. "Since last week." Ichigo said with a smile.

"Funny we could not be more different personality wise but our dating life is so similar." Andrew said which got Ichigo to laugh.

"Yeah, guess there are some things we have in common." Ichigo said.

"Not going to lie, she's good for you man." Andrew said.

"Everyone keeps saying that and I believe them. I think you needed Tatsuki to break your shell."

Andrew shook his head at that.

After a few minutes Andrew sat up and Ichigo followed suit. "We good man? Releasing all of that felt good, didn't it?"

Ichigo chuckled. "Yeah it was." Ichigo held out his fist and Andrew pounded it. "We live in the same household we were bound to get on each other's nerves."

Andrew agreed. The girls chose this time to come in with the medical kits.

"Jeez did you guys have to go so hard at each other?" Tatsuki said.

"Yeah you looked like those robots from that series Gundam."

The boys rolled their eyes as they cleaned up the bruises and checked for damage. Andrew could not help himself.

"If you want to see me without my shirt you should just ask Tatsuki." Andrew said getting her to furiously blush and getting the red heads to laugh.

Tatsuki rolled her eyes and stabbed the swab on a cut which got Andrew to slightly flinch as they finished cleaning up.

After they did so they all stood up and Andrew looked to Ichigo and he silently nodded.

"Hey girls why don't give us hug I mean we made up, didn't we Ichigo?"

"Yeah don't hold out on us." Ichigo smiled.

The girls backed away with mock terror on their face. "No, don't hug us stinky dragons." Orihime said.

"Oh we're dragons are we? Well then I guess we have a princess to capture Andrew." Ichigo said stepping closer.

"I got the black haired tomboy you got the innocent redhead." Andrew said as the girls yelped and started running away with Tatsuki complaining about Orihime's crazy ideas.

Wednesday May 24th, Monaco time

After packing and saying good-bye to Yuzu and Karin who would not join them on this trip, they flew into Nice, France airport which was the closest airport to Monaco. The crew would figure out a way to get the cars there. After two hours of customs and driving they arrived in the tiny municipality.

"So last week we were on the cold side of the Mediterranean now we are on the warm side of it." Andrew joked as the girls started taking pictures of the buildings and the sea. They started headed towards their hotel.

"Uh, Andrew where is the race track. You said that this country is small so where are they going to put the course.

Andrew chuckled. "Well Orihime where do you think it is?"

Orihime tapped her chin while Tatsuki shook her head. "We are driving on the actual circuit aren't we?"

Andrew chuckled. "That's right. Most of the circuit runs through Monte Carlo and the harbor. The course is going to go right by our hotel and the casino." Andrew said driving through the crowded ancient streets.

When they pulled up everyone in the car was amazed. The Hôtel de Paris Monte-Carlo was massive. It had 187 rooms and where the rooms for the drivers were going to be they were all facing the harbor. The façade was marble and stone and it looked like it hadn't aged in years. They stepped out and grabbed their bags as the valet took their car away.

"Wow! Every time I think I have experienced it all this happens. If you'd tell me eight years I'd be staying at a hotel in Monaco with my best bud, his girlfriend and my girlfriend I would laugh at you." Andrew said getting the three to laugh as they made their way through the lobby to the desk.

"Ah the remaining Kurosaki-Ishida contingent. You are the second team to check in. One moment while we complete your reservation and get a porter for you." The concierge said as he typed in the computer.

"Wonder who the first one was?" Andrew asked.

"Might be the Ferraris. I remember a couple of them have houses here." Ichigo said. The boys turned around to see Orihime act liking a giddy school girl with Tatsuki staying near her.

"Like watching kids in a candy store. (Chuckle) How did we end up with them?" Andrew said looking at Ichigo.

"Don't know. But I frankly don't care." Ichigo said.

"True that." Andrew said pounding Ichigo's fist.

"Here you are gentlemen. Your suite is on the third floor. Enjoy your stay."

"Merci. Orihime, Tatsuki come on." Andrew called out getting their girls to come with them.

A few minutes later they were at their room and after tipping their porter they went inside. The room was amazing. It had a center room with colors that reminded them of the ocean. It had a flat screen T.V with a table that had complimentary champagne. Off to the side lied the individual rooms.

Orihime was quick to run to the balcony window and opened the window while the others followed at more subdued pace.

"This view is amazing. Guys look at this." Orihime said pointing out the window. They walked over to the window and they had to admit the view was great.

Andrew walked over to the bottle and noticed four glasses. "Isshin really works fast with the preparations doesn't he? We only told him yesterday after he checked us out for the bruises."

When Isshin found out that the two couples were dating he was overly ecstatic especially at his son finding Orihime and treated them as a member of the family.

"Stupid old man." Ichigo growled which got Orihime to giggle.

"Whatever. Geez you think they roll out the red carpet with what they gave us. This is some vintage." Andrew said looking at the label and then pulled the cork out.

After pouring out four glasses, they lifted up their glasses. "To a great rest of the season guys."

"Kempai." They said clinking their glasses and taking a long sip out their glasses. After their drinks Andrew pulled out his pocket watch and his phone.

"Let's see it is 1235 local time. So I don't know about you but being on a plane for 13 hours kind of makes ya tired. I am going to take a nap after I unpack."

The other three nodded and they split off to the rooms. They beds were double king sized with white sheets on Ichigo and Orihime's bed and blue sheets and Andrew and Tatsuki's bed.

After they finished unpacking, Ichigo realized he was exhausted from the plane ride. Firing off a text to Chad and Uryuu he took off his shoes socks and shirt and crawled into bed. He saw Orihime looking sleepy and patted the spot next to him. Smiling Orihime took off her shoes and then wrapped her slender arms around Ichigo and in a few minutes both were out.

Hours later it was about six o clock when Ichigo groaned awake. He looked down to the sleeping beauty on his chest. Her face was so pale and smooth he couldn't help but touch it. Orihime felt it and nuzzled the hand.

"Hime? Time to get up." Ichigo said whispering into her ear.

"Five more minutes little blue men." Orihime mumbled.

Before Ichigo could respond there was a knock on the door. This woke up Orihime.

"You guys awake? Get dressed in some of your semi-formal clothes we are going to one of the restaurants down stairs to meet with Uryuu and Chad." Andrew

"Just give us a few minutes." Ichigo called out.

"We are leaving in twenty minutes with or without you. It's the Le Grill, alright?"

"Yeah. It will be fine." Ichigo called out.

Andrew walked away. Ichigo sighed and looked at the sleepy eyed girl.

"Ichigo?" Orihime said looking up at Ichigo bleary eyed.

"Andrew said to get ready to go to dinner, come on sleeping beauty." Ichigo said.

"Mou, alright." Orihime said stretching. "This bed was comfy."

"Yeah it was." Ichigo agreed as he kissed Orihime on the cheek and left the room to allow her to get ready.

Twenty minutes later Orihime was ready in her red dress that highlighted her figure tastefully and a dash of make-up to accentuate her natural beauty. Ichigo smiled at her and they went downstairs to unwind from their travels.

Next day May 26th

When the drivers walked out of their hotel they noticed the roads completely closed off for qualifying. Considering the size of the country, they were told that qualifying was moved up a day so they can get the roads opened up as soon as possible. An escort came over and escorted the team of six over the roads and to the pits where they met with the rest of the team.

"Ichigo my son you have returned!" Isshin said scaring the guard and frustrating the others with the constant 'attacks on Ichigo.

Uryuu looked and noticed that while there were four cars there were only two crew spots set up.

"Uncle where are the other pit crews? I thought they would be here.

Isshin managed to recover from his impromptu attack to explain. "Because of the amount of space they could only fit enough spots for 18 teams. So Ichigo's and Chad's crew will stay here while yours and Andrew's will be sent on ahead to Barcelona. I got the call they arrived there last night. So Uryuu's crew will service Chad, while Ichigo and Andrew will team together just like at Austria. Hopefully this is the last time we do this, this year."

The drivers nodded and went to the impromptu changing rooms. Once changed they walked along the boulevard that made up the street and ran into some fans who were near the fences. Most of them went for Ichigo and Andrew because they had good looks but they had also performed better than the other two. But after some coaxing some of the fans got Chad and Uryuu's autograph.

Chad had finished one of the auto graphs when felt a tugging on the leg his red and green suit. He turned and looked to see a six year old boy standing next to his mother. His skin tone indicated a Hispanic heritage but with the globalization it could be anything.

"Uh…excuse me Mr. Yasotora? Can…Can I have your autograph please?" The kid said nervously holding out a notebook.

Chad knelt down and to the kid's eye level which intimidated the kid a little bit. But Chad only smiled and gently took the notepad.

"What's your name little one?" Chad asked gently which soothed the mother's worry.

"R…Ricardo." The boy squeaked.

Chad nodded and with a quick flourish signed it to Ricardo.

"There we go. I hope you enjoy the race."

"Thanks Mr. Yasotora. You are nice guy." Ricardo said.

"He may be a tall guy but Chad here is great with kids." Ichigo said which got the boy to giggle.

"Thank you again. Good luck Mr. Yasotora." Ricardo said as his mother thanked Chad.

Chad watched the family go and it wasn't till Ichigo tapped his shoulder that he noticed anything.

"You've always been good with kids Chad. Come on let's make sure little Ricardo sees his favorite driver qualify well.

Chad nodded and they went to their cars. Because of the size of the pit road, they would only allow 12 cars at a time on pit road, the ones going out and the ones getting ready to qualify. For the Kurosaki team, Uryuu would go out first in the second session, Andrew would be in the third session, Chad would be in the fifth session and Ichigo would be in the last one.

Uryuu had a relatively decent qualifying but as they had scouted the European teams were dominating the charts as Flippe Massa took the first qualifying spot. By the time Andrew had rolled out for his session Uryuu had dropped to about 9th. When Andrew rolled out he managed to get an alright time but his frustration was evident when he got out of the car.

"That bleeping hairpin got me every lap. Can't make a good lap because of it and then you have the tunnel which kills the aero. God I really hope we don't have any more street circuits."

The drivers heard the rant and sighed. There was nothing they could do about it.

The fifth session had Chad in a session with Ralph Hamilton and two of the Kuchiki drivers. Despite having not qualified well recently, Chad set a great time even briefly having the fastest time of the session until Hamilton beat him out. Still fifth place with one session to go was a great time on this track.

He got out of the car to the applause of his team. Appreciating it he watched as Ichigo tried to beat the best time. He failed to take first but he would be lining up next to him when the race began.

Friday May 27th

Andrew, Ichigo and Chad were waiting in the lobby for their dates. Chad convinced Nurse Kotestu to come with him to the casino after some initial reluctance and some motivation from Dr. Unohana. They were waiting in their semi-casual wear, Ichigo in a black jacket over a white shirt and tan pants, Andrew in grey get up and Chad in a black get up. They watched as other couples were getting ready to enjoy dinner and some gambling.

"Wonder what's taking the girls. I know they would be putting on a lot of make-up. They don't need it." Ichigo said leaning against a pillar.

"You are so gaga over Orihime it's not even funny Ichigo." Andrew said amused. "If anything the delay is probably Ms. Kotestu. You saw how hard it was to convince her to come. Maybe she has a problem with going out into public."

Chad hummed. "I remember talking to her about her life growing up with Kiyone. She was always the so called bookworm. But she always wanted to help people that's why she went into medicine. But she had never really considered dating until now."

"Guess the height thing turns people off. Not my thing but I don't really judge I think she's sweet girl." Andrew shrugged and then looked at his pocket watch. He pulled out his phone to get the correct time and started rewinding it.

"Ichigo, Andrew, Chad we're here." Orihime's bubbly voice sounded. The three guys looked up and they had to blush a bit. The dresses were beautiful and the way they were dressed showed off their personalities. Orihime's was a red dress that came below her knees with a strap on her right shoulder that covered up her chest, which she was shy in showing her body off. Her hair was done in a bun, her face was lightly covered in make-up and was wearing black heels. Tatsuki's dress was black almost matching Andrew's suit. It came down to her knees and it had a neck strap, showing off her tomboyish personality, and she had combed her hair down and applied hair spray to keep it down. Isane was wearing a silver dress that went from atop her chest down to her ankles, showing her almost timid personality. She was wearing a matching boa and silver gloves. She was looking shyly away from her date, not wanting to see his scrutinizing gaze.

Andrew was off course the first to comment. "What have I been saying Ichigo, we have some really pretty girlfriends. You three look amazing." Andrew said approaching Tatsuki and kissing her.

While Ichigo went to complement Orihime, Chad stepped up to Isane who was looking embarrassed.

"You look lovely Isane." Chad whispered as he parted her bang. Isane smiled through her blush and thanked the dark skinned driver.

After a few photographs they were ready to go out. "Alright folks let's go break the bank." Andrew said as they headed to the restaurant to eat before they hit the casino.

(Play Sharped Dressed Man by ZZ Top)

The group of six entered the restaurant and sit down for a fancy meal. Isane not exactly used to the fine dining, was amazed at the taste of the food. When it came time for the check she saw the price and was stunned. Even more so when Ichigo and Andrew started arguing for the check, meaning they could afford this meal.

In the casino its self they walked in and most of the men saw the girls and threw jealous looks at the three boys escorting them. Orihime and Isane squeezed closer to their dates who only smiled at them and then sent a cocky smirk at the patrons.

After receiving 50,000 euros of chips they separated to play their own games. Ichigo was at a roulette wheel and he bet a couple of chips on a single number and lost causing him some frustration. Orihime patted his shoulder and put money on a number before Ichigo could stop her. The roulette was spun and it landed on the number Orihime had chosen to Ichigo's immense shock. He looked at her and Orihime just smiled her innocent smile.

Chad was at the Craps table and it was his roll. He took two of the dice and place the bet on the seven line. He threw the dice and it landed on a seven which won him some more money. Three times he did this before it landed on a five. The next roll landed on a five again and he won more chips. (Confused so was I. Look it up if you need clarification.)

"I guess my luck is starting to turn around with you here." Chad said getting the tall girl to blush.

Over at the Black jack table Andrew was on a roll. He had beaten the dealer a few times and was now sitting on a 9 and 2 making eleven. He was contemplating doubling down and he did so. The dealer dealt the card and it was 21. He watched with a smile as the rest of the table played, taking a sip from his coke. Tatsuki was standing next to him and he pulled her down to kiss her, which got her to smile. When he turned to see the rest of the table, he just smiled and took another sip.

(End song.)

Three hours later into their event Andrew at a Texas hold'em poker table. Buying in at 10,000 euros, he sat at the table and slowly built up his chip stack. He asked for a little assistance in carrying the chip when he was transferring between tables. Two players had left after being nearly cleaned out. He was now watching his opponent, a middle aged man that looked German. The community cards were the 9, 10 of diamonds and Jack and 10 of spades. The German looked at Andrew and then down at his cards and tossed in 350,000 euros worth of chips. Andrew looked at his cards and then back at the man and called the bet. The dealer burned the last card and flipped over the river card. It was the Ace of Spades.

Andrew put on a look of shock which the man noticed and grinned. He put in 500,000 euros.

Andrew shook his head and called. "May as well see the rest of this." Andrew sighed.

The man laughed. "You played a good game. Four tens." He said holding up the other two tens.

Andrew looked at his cards. "All I have is a king and a queen. Looks like I have a straight." Andrew said putting down said king and queen. The funny thing is that they were spades. The man's smile disappeared and his mouth dropped.

"Uh honey what happens if you have a straight and they are the same suit." Tatsuki said knowingly.

Andrew looked at the board and smiled. "Well in normal cases it would be a straight flush. But in this case it's a royal flush babe." Andrew said as the dealer moved all of the chips in the pot towards Andrew. He looked at the man and grinned. "Tough read on my poker face." He said. He pulled out his pocket watch and saw it was midnight.

"Gentlemen, it's been a blast. But I have to get going." Andrew said as he gather his chips and stacked them on the cart provided. He gave one of the chips to dealer and started on their way to the cashier.

"Tatsuki text the boys that I am cashing out and they should do so soon." Andrew said handing him his phone. They made their way to the cashier's office where they counted it up. After the tabulation he had amassed over 1.75 million euros, a considerable sum. They had an option for transferring the money electronically to an account that was password protected. Andrew had called dad to send him a routing number which he handed to the teller. The teller gave him a keypad and he entered the number he came up with. Once done, he thanked the teller and left with Tatsuki in tow.

As they were walking they saw a group of three men approaching the way they came. When one of them turned slightly they noticed a handgun sticking out of the man's side. Tatsuki looked at Andrew who pulled her closer and started walking. Andrew took a sip and just before he bumped the guy he let Tatsuki go. When he bumped into the guy he spilled his half-filled glass.

"Oh man I am sorry buddy. I was talking with my lovely girlfriend. Look let me pay for the suit." Andrew said apologetically.

The leader glared. "That was an expensive suit buddy. Maybe I should take it on your hide." The man said gripping his shirt. This got the attention of some the people playing on the slots."

Andrew sheepishly grinned. "Buddy it's just a suit. Let it go." He then lowered his voice. "Maybe if you stop what your about to do, I won't tell the security guard about the gun you have in your pocket."

The leader growled. "You think you scare me?" He said slamming him against a slot machine. This got people to vacate the area.

Andrew smiled and grabbed the man's hand and squeezed it. "Now I can be a nice man. But I was indirectly asking you to let go of me. So now that you have nearly tried to choke me I get to do this." He said punching the guy. The guy was knocked back and charged into punch Andrew. He swiftly dodged it and he got his fist got stuck in the machine. His two cronies attempted to attack him but two big fists hit them. Andrew and Tatsuki looked and saw it was Ichigo and Chad.

The leader finally got his hand unstuck and pulled out his gun and prepared to pull the trigger. They saw the gun and instantly Ichigo put Orihime behind him and Chad did the same thing with Isane. Tatsuki was behind Andrew but she was taking something from one the knocked out men's pocket.

"I was going to just rob this place, but killing you will satisfy my employer. I recognize you now, you're the Kurosaki-Ishida drivers. Yes, I know he will want you out of action."

Before he could pull the trigger, the security officers tackled him to the ground. After some struggling the man was put in handcuffs. The guards walked over to arrest the other two.

"Sorry about disturbing you gentlemen. If you would provide your statement we can verify it on the cameras." The lead guard said.

Andrew told them the story and the guards assured them they would not facing any charges. After a few autographs for the security guards, they were allowed to go on their way.

The group then escorted Isane to the hotel where she was bunking with Dr. Unohana. When they arrived, Isane turned to the group.

"I guess you guys don't normally have these adventures?" The group chuckled. She stepped up to Chad and gave him a kiss on the cheek. "Regardless, I had a fun time before the whole mess in the casino. See you tomorrow."

Before Chad could respond, Isane leaned up and kissed him on the cheek. She bowed and left for her room.

Chad felt his cheek and heard the guys laughing.

"Well now Mr. Yasotora, I think you have a nice little relationship." Andrew said as they started walking back to their hotel.

A few minutes later they were outside the hotel when Andrew stopped.

"Those robbers. They said their employer would want us out of the way." Andrew said.

The whole group stopped. Ichigo looked at him with wide eyes. "Are you saying one of the teams targeted us?"

Andrew looked up all form of laughter gone. "Yes, I believe they wanted us gone. Our presence in the Grand Prix is threatening enough for them to want to try and get rid of us. But who. As far as we know we haven't really ticked anyone off yet."

Chad raised his hand. "Wait I am confused what are you guys talking about?"

Ichigo turned to Chad. "When we went to that video game convention the week you all got sick, we got attacked by a yakuza group. We were able to hold them off but they said someone ordered the hit on us. We were convinced that someone within the Grand Prix did so and the only teams that could feasibly pull it off would have been the other Japanese teams, but without a motive we could not confirm our suspicions."

Tatsuki reached into her purse and pulled out the card she had taking from the grunt. "I pulled this card from the goon. Maybe it can tell us a little more."

Ichigo took the card and noticed a name and a company. "Looks it was mercenary company. Guess it won't be around much longer." Ichigo joked. He then notice some kanji.

"Huh, Japanese writing. On a European card." Ichigo said frowning.

"Can you read it?" Andrew asked.

"Yuzu was always the better kanji reader but I think I can. Let's see, it reads Kyoka Suigetsu."

"And in English?" Andrew said prompting him to continue.

"Kyoka means Mirror Flower, Suigetsu means Water Moon." Ichigo said.

"Wonder what it means?" Orihime asked curiously. The group thought for a few moments and then Orihime remembered something.

"Wait I think I know what it is. I remember reading around the time the Tensa and the Zangetsu were unveiled, Mazda announced they were making two cars that would compete in the same divisions as the Honda cars. I think it was designed by Souske Limited, saying that the race car the Kyoka might look silly but it had a ton of horsepower. The street car Suigetsu supposedly blends into the night with certain colors." Orihime said which got shocked looks from everyone.

"And it would make sense they would use those two words. The only water flower that comes to mind are lily pads which are in reality vines a deceitful flower. When the moon is reflected off a clear surface, it has been known to cause people to drown." Andrew theorized

The group pondered the new realizations.

"Are you saying that…Souske Limited is after us?" Tatsuki said.

"We are saying, I don't think this was the first nor is the last time something happened to us. Until we have more concrete evidence this is just speculation." Ichigo said.

"Right. Until then nothing leaves this conversation. Got me?" Andrew said seriously. They all looked at each other and nodded. They proceeded to their hotel rooms where they changed and collapsed on their respective beds.

Sunday May 29th Five hours before the race

Andrew slowly woke up with a yawn. He stretched and looked at the bedside clock. Without his glasses he could barely make it out but it read 6:30 AM.

"Way too early. (Sigh)." He looked up at the top of the bed. The canopy style bed blocking him and his bedmate from the world was light blue. The lighting form outside told him the sun had not reached his room yet.

He sighed again. 'How far I've come to be sleeping in a hotel like this? It's humbling. It will be nice to at least have some normalcy when we fly home.'

He then read back the last couple of words. 'Home…what is that now?' Andrew said closing his eyes.

"What are you thinking Andrew?" Tatsuki's voice interrupted his thoughts. He looked to his right to see Tatsuki smiling. Though the sheets covered her chest he knew she was wearing her sports bra and sleep shorts. He himself was wearing boxers and she had been sleeping on his shoulder.

"Just thinking about where I've been, where I hope to be. Never in a million years would I be here in one of the more famous hotels in the world, with a girlfriend as pretty as you."

Tatsuki blushed slightly but smiled and rolled on top of him.

"I'm glad you know I'm pretty. Some people might think otherwise." Tatsuki said looking away.

Andrew turned her head and leaned up to kiss her. Tatsuki always put up a tough front but Andrew's tender touch she turned into Orihime and turned into a blushing schoolgirl. She allowed him to roll her onto the sheets. Staring up at Andrew, she could see a genuine smile on his face.

"Other people might have super models, or in Ichigo's case an angel in Orihime. But you are special to me. You have your own beauty your own charm that entrapped me."

Tatsuki's look brightened slightly then she gain a curious look. "You said you were thinking about the future. Do you have any idea what you want in the future?"

Andrew smiled. "Well, I would probably be racing for several years. Then I would take care of my kids with my wife. Which is starting to increasingly look like you."

Tatsuki looked shocked. "Me? A mother?"

Andrew kissed her lips. "Yeah. I figured you would have two maybe three kids. Your daughters would have their mother's beauty and attitude and would be able to fight off her suitors because her mother and father taught her to fight. Your sons would have the strength to protect their family and if any of our kids would go into racing, well we would support them whole heartedly."

Tatsuki smiled. "What about Orihime and Ichigo?"

Andrew shook his head and smiled. "You think we would have them grow up without their auntie Hime and uncle Ichigo? Somehow I see one of our kids marrying one of theirs."

This got both of them to laugh. When they settled down, they kissed tenderly for a couple of minutes. When they separated, Andrew got out of the bed. "That's the future right now I am concerned about getting to that future."

Tatsuki sat up. "This is about the attack on Friday isn't it?"

Andrew looked out over the sea. "Yeah, I am still figuring out why they would want to target us."

Tatsuki said nothing and walked over and in an increasingly more common gesture wrapped an arm around Andrew's stomach.

"I don't know but if you think I will stay away from this your nuts. Don't think Orihime will stay away either." Tatsuki said against his back.

Andrew shook his head. "Never asked you to stay out of it." Andrew said never turning his head. Staring out at the water with the sunrise reflected off it he sighed. "Can't say the view stinks."

Tatsuki hummed and moved over to his arm to enjoy the view shoulder to shoulder.

An hour later everyone had cleaned up and were in dress clothes. Andrew put in his headphones and then pressed play. A familiar chime was played and he shook his head at the song.

"Really? This song. Oh well." Andrew said as they went outside.

(Play Wanted Dead or Alive by Bon Jovi. I chose it because someone wants them dead)

The drivers walked across the streets as the opening riffs of the song picked up. The sun had begun slow climb over the city.

As the song begins to build the drivers were finishing their suits and they outside allowing the girls to change as well.

Looking out into the harbor the fans were starting to line the harbor. Meanwhile the cameras and the crews were being set up around the very tight course.

Aizen clenched his drink glass as he continued to see reports of his failed robbery. What's worse is because of the events leading up to the confrontation no one could blame the Kurosaki drivers for defending themselves. He was reminded by an assistant the race was in a few hours. He calmed down and smiled. He was confident that they could win today.

The crews that were at the track had finished moving the cars onto the grid and were doing final checks of the cars to make sure they can run and they went back to their pit.

In the driver's meeting Yamamoto was giving the drivers final words for the race. His steely gaze looked over the nine teams, his gaze focusing on the Souske team. With final words the teams left the improvised meeting hall to head out onto the course.

(End the previous song and begin playing instrumental Back in Black by AC/DC and the Fox Montage. Really hard to think of a song here.)

(Sounds of gambling are heard as the song begins) Luck plays an integral part in any aspect of life. Whether it's the final shot in a basketball game or a home run in a baseball game. In racing it is probably more important than any racing skill. Without luck, no one can win. Without risk there is no reward. (Images of casino games are shown) In one of the world's gambling meccas, you can be on top of the world or in the dumpster with a simple roll of the dice. In racing if you don't gamble you are not going to make the podium. (Images of various drivers are shown) For the young guns and the veterans they have gambled their way to the top. In essence the World Grand Prix consists of 36 gamblers.

(Begin the chorus)

When you talk about money, you never want to be in the red, you want to be in black. And if you want to win on probably the toughest course on the Grand Prix you need to have tremendous luck. If you do, then you'll be Back in the Black.

(The chorus screams as the camera pans down to Monaco and the track outline in the country.)

Bienvenue à Monaco. Welcome to Monaco

The images fade away as the camera pans over the Mediterranean as the Fox theme plays.

"Over the picturesque Mediterranean Sea, we welcome you to the smallest country in the world. A country so small that entire race circuit can take it up."

(Pans to Jeremy and Nate)

"We welcome you to the 11th round of the World Grand Prix, here on the streets of the world famous Monaco. I am Jeremy Buck, alongside Nate Jarret and we welcome you to the historic Monaco Grand Prix. And for those watching in the United States, we wish you a Happy Memorial Day Weekend. For close to 150 years racers from multiple racing series and countries have come to tackle what is considered one of the toughest courses in the world.

Nate: I remember racing here several time. It's so tough that the teams have to design their cars specifically for this race. This is the only track with a tunnel (Pans over to the entrance of the tunnel) it can take about 20% of the aerodynamics away and it can mess up a driver's concentration. What's also tough is that this course contains the slowest turn. Turn 6 is a hairpin that you have to take almost at pedestrian speed. For those not used to it, it will seem unusual to go so slow.

Jeremy: Before we tackle Monaco's streets, let's look back at Russia's as we recap the craziness that was the Sochi Grand Prix.

Nate: (Images Early on it appeared that Serenity Gordon and Ikkaku Madarame would start dominating the race. But Ulquiorra Cifer took the lead around lap 30 and never looked back as he gave the Souske team their second win of the season.

Jeremy: One thing that came up multiple times is that the suspensions on many contenders including this nasty looking wreck for the points leading Kurosaki drivers, Ichigo Kurosaki and Andrew Michaels. (End Montage)

Nate: Looking at both standings they have tightened up considerably. With a bad point day for the Kurosaki drivers and a good day for the Souske drivers, Souske closed up to within three points in the team standings. In the driver standings, Ichigo Kurosaki still has the lead but it is now five point difference to Souske driver Ulquiorra Cifer and nine to his teammate Andrew Michaels. The first 8 drivers are separated by less than forty points and the next three drivers are less than ten points behind eighth. Both races are going to be fun to watch.

Jeremy: As always we are assisted by a great crew of reporters. Two of them are with us. First is our partner Jermaine Ferguson who is with our winner from last week. Jermaine?

Jermaine: Thank you Jeremy. Mr. Cifer. You pulled off a dominating performance last week. Now you are at a track where Souske has had issues with in the past. Do you think this team can win today?

Ulquiorra: I believe they can. These Souske Limited Mazdas are in contention every week and I have the utmost confidence that we can win this, regardless of where we start today.

Jermaine: Thank you Mr. Cifer. He rolls off 21st. Now onto Kiyone who is with three drivers who had a very exciting past couple of days.

Kiyone: That's right I'm here with three of the Kurosaki-Ishida drivers. Chad Yasotora who rolls off 5th, Ichigo Kurosaki who is next to him and Andrew Michaels who rolls off 10th. First off Ichigo what do you think of the chances of Kurosaki winning this race?

Ichigo: Well as my friend here can attest some of us don't like street courses all that well. (Andrew laughs off camera) but most of the team qualified well and I think with some luck we might pull off a great finish maybe even the win.

Kiyone: Speaking of luck, you were extremely fortunate that you were a. not hurt b. managed to foil a robbery at the Monte Carlo casino just 48 hours ago. Chad I know you were involved in ending the brawl. How calm were you when this whole incident came down.

Chad: I knew both Andrew and Ichigo could handle themselves I just came in for some moral support but I did get in a couple of hits. With the security cameras we were able to convince the guards we were merely trying to stop them from going any further then they did.

Kiyone: I bet they were no match for you. Now Andrew, Grand Prix officials have pulled you three aside to talk about these events. What can you say about what was said in there?"

Andrew: They were quite concerned about us especially us being the young bucks we are. They just told us to be more careful in the future and congratulated us on keeping the situation from getting out of hand.

Kiyone: Glad to hear it back to you Jushiro."

"And Cut." Sentaro said. Kiyone turned to three drivers. "I heard from my sister. You guys were awesome. Especially you Chad. Off the record I want to thank you for protecting my sister."

The three nodded and the camera crew left. As they headed towards their cars, with Andrew leading them towards the girls.

"That's how you act gentlemen. Don't cause undue panic and make us look good in the process." Andrew grinned.

Ichigo rolled his eyes. "Oh brother, I thought your ego was deflated from the butt whopping I gave you."

"The way Tatsuki and Orihime talk it was the other way around." Chad said causing Ichigo to mock glare at him. They met up briefly with the girls and then went to their cars.

After the opening ceremonies the drivers were strapping in up and down the course. Ichigo and Chad having qualified 5th and 6th were right next to each other. They looked at each other and gave each other a thumbs up as Orihime hugged him through the window.

With Andrew he was adjusting his gloves. He looked to his left to see Grimmjow talking with Aizen. His thoughts were cut short when Isshin tapped his window to talk with him.

Aizen had reached Ulquiorra and leaned in.

"Do no disappoint me Ulquiorra. This is our chance to knock those Kurosaki whelps down a peg."

Ulquiorra nodded and placed his helmet on.

"NOW FOR THE MOST FAMOUS WORDS IN MOTORSPORTS! DRIVERS! START YOUR ENGINES

Thirty-six engines roared on the Mediterranean Sea. Final instructions were been given as the track was cleared.

Japan Booth

Kommamura: And here we are thirty-six of the world's greatest drivers in the world ready to racing on of the most demanding courses in the world.

Jushiro: Let's go over the race summary. This is 102 laps on the roads of the Monte Carlo district. Hills, tight turns and even a tunnel make it a very demanding course where the teams have to design special cars just for this race. The fuel window is thirty to thirty five laps. Some teams might gamble in two stops.

Kommamura: Three key factors to this race. Number one is the pit strategy.

Jushiro: We have seen races won and lost with fuel strategy. Two years ago Souske driver Grimmjow Jaegerjaquez gamble and lose on a one pit stop strategy.

Kommamura: Number two is second section of the track. You go almost all the way to pedestrian speeds into turn 6 and then you almost immediately go into the tunnel going near 190 MPH.

Jushiro: Last key is the tightness of the track. The cars might be smaller the F1 cars that ran here yesterday but passing is a premium because of the tightness of the track.

Kommamura: Let's try to talk to our poles sitter. Ralph Hamilton, Kommamura Saijin, Nippon Racing Network do you read.

"Go ahead Kommamura.

"You are on the pole at a track you've had success in the past. Do you feel you can wind this race?"

"Oh yeah this Red Bull Porsche car was great in qualifying and I feel our luck is turning around. Just hope we keep our car clean."

Kommamura: Glad to see you have the confidence to win this. Alright hope you do well.

"Thanks sir."

Two laps later the pace car led them around the last couple of turns. Because of the tightness of the track they were in two car rows instead of three. The green flag waved and the two Red Bull cars led the field down to the first tight turn. As the drivers slowed down, the teams towards the rear of the field had to react really fast to avoid wrecking the cars in front of them. From rows 5 to about 13 they were caught up in a bottleneck and some of the cars got damage. Andrew caught a lucky break when Michael Kennseth was forced onto the run off. This helped alleviate some of the bottle neck but there some cars in the back that front and rear fender damage, Uyruu was lucky to only have some small fender damage and this was a track where having good downforce was not a necessity.

Up front Hamilton and Massa had reached turn 5 and were beginning the downhill section to the hairpin. As the drivers had been told they were almost to 20 MPH as they negotiated the curve. One key difference between the F1 that ran the previous day and the Grand Prix cars here is the size of the cars. On circuits like this, the smaller size allowed them to pass in different spots. Case in point, Brian Mcnish got underneath Ichigo almost clipping the barrier in the process and set his sights on Chad. Slightly further back Grimmjow completed the same maneuver right before the turn.

Coming out of the tunnel at nearly 160 MPH the leaders slowed way down to go into the chicane. Successfully negotiating this Hamilton and Massa made their way past the harbor. Slowing down after the harbor they negotiated the 135 degree turn and Ralph was able to lead the first lap. A bit further back, Mcnish had gotten around Chad and was battling Jessica.

American Booth

Jeremy: And with one lap in the books it's the Red Bull duo of Hamilton and Massa. Mcnish is on the move as he battles Jessica Rosburg.

Nate: First lap of any start or restart is tough but especially at this course, they had to slow up for the tight first turn and several cars from about 13th on back might have some damage. (Camera shows Archie Stewart's car) Archie here has some damage to both ends of the car. Fortunately down force isn't too critical here.

After a couple of laps the cars had settled down and started to separate some. Six laps in Massa capitalized on a mistake coming into the tunnel and completed it before the 11-12 chicane. The first retirement came three laps later when Alexandria Edwards pulled out due to a gear box issue that more than likely came from being bumped around.

While the leaders were busy catching the back of the field, Chad had settled into 11th. He radioed to Ryuken.

"Car is feeling tight. But I can handle it."

"Times are on par with the leader. But they are too spread out. We might need a different strategy."

Chad hummed. "Maybe we can pit earlier than the rest."

"…That will be tricky but I think you might be onto something. We are on lap 12. Let's see how this race progresses."

Chad acknowledged and went back to racing. About fifteen laps later, Mcnish had taken the lead. Around lap twenty one or so people started to come in on the assumption they could make it on three stops. This is what gave Ichigo the lead on lap 26 as most of the Kurosaki team would try to get to the end on two stops a calculated risk on their parts and gambling on their fuel efficiency.

American Booth

Jeremy: First round of pit stops underway, with the exception of five drivers including two of the Souske drivers

Nate: Definitely three different strategies going on, the 06 and 04 Mazdas came in early around lap 11. If they do thirty lap stints they can make their final stop around laps 70 and hope for a caution in that stretch. Most of the teams are going a bit more conservative like the other two Kurosaki cars, the 91 of Andrew Michaels and the 32 of Uryuu Ishida.

Jeremy: Looks like those who are coming in near lap 30, as we see Ichigo pulling off, might be going on the two stop plan. Kiyone what can you tell us.

Kiyone: (As Ichigo is coming in) That was the strategy for the 15, the 66 and the 91. The 91 was not handling well so he came in early. With Ichigo and his teammate Chad they are going to try to make it to the end on one more stop.

Back in the booth

Nate: That is really risky either the last run or this run they need to go at least forty laps. Now they have won twice now on fuel strategy this year.

Jeremy: More like won once on luck and one on fuel strategy. But you are right, Hondas normally get great mileage let's see how this plays out. As Chad takes his chance to get fuel that should hand the lead to Grimmjow in the 06.

Nate: He has a four second lead on Flippe Massa who has fresher tires.

On the track there was another retirement as Michael Kennseth broke something in his suspension and pulled out making it two cars in the Rousch contingent. They were joined by Robert Johnson from Hendrick when he lost a cylinder.

On lap 40 Grimmjow gave up the lead to make his second scheduled stop. His service complete he went back into the chase. But then something came over the radio that ignited his legendary temper.

"Car number 06. This is race control. You are being black flagged. You were too fast exiting pit road. You have three laps to comply as of the next lap."

"ARE YOU $#!*ING KIDDING ME!? AIZEN!"

Grimmjow's shouting busting Syzel's hearing. Meanwhile Aizen was slamming his fist down in fury. "You stupid cat why do you this to me?" He growled.

Japan Booth

Kommamura: As we work lap 42 with Massa in front, we have a penalty on pit road.

Jushiro: It was the 06 of Grimmjow Jaegerjaquez, too fast exiting pit road.

Kommamura: Guess he was too eager to go and he got caught. This probably took him out of contention.

On the track the field had closed up a bit more with people on differing pit strategies. As it came to the second round of pit stops. The drivers and the crew chiefs were calculating the distance they could go. During this round Ichigo and Andrew both led a lap but they came in during the exchange after leading a lap each. Chad had come in from 4th about lap 66.

"Wait….Wait….GO!" Ryuken said as they tried to pack as much fuel as they could into the 66.

As they speed away, Ryuken was on the calculator trying to calculate how far Chad could go.

"If we could get six laps somewhere. Kami this is going to be a stretch. Chad, try to conserve as much as you can do not waste fuel battling."

"Roger."

American Booth

Jeremy: Chad has just come in for what they hope is the final time. He came in with thirty-six laps to go. Ulquiorra came in two laps earlier with his third stop. They are really hoping to stretch the fuel run. There hasn't really been a caution this race. Multiple cars have retired due to other mechanical issues and damage to their race cars, as we see Dale Earnhardt IV pull out after hoping the 11-12 chicane, and wrecking the axle.

Nate: Japanese cars do get some good mileage, but it is going to come down how good the team engines. Souske vs. Kurosaki, for some reason I think we will be seeing this a lot more as the season progresses.

On the track Ulquiorra had finally worked his way up to first as drivers peeled off to make their final stops. Chad was in 9th as he tried to conserve as much as he could. As the laps wound down more cars in front of him started to peel off as cars behind them also tried to make it to the end in hopes Chad and Ulquiorra ran out.

Five laps to go Chad was in 2nd place after Serenity pulled off to take on fuel. But he was about 15 seconds back because he let off a lot to make it too the end.

Japanese Booth

Kommamura: Five laps left and Ulquiorra has a large lead over the 66. Perhaps that will be enough to get him to the end of the race.

Jushiro: Yes maybe Souske can finally get the win they have been clamoring for at this race.

On the track Ulquiorra had just gotten the two to go signal. He hit his marks all the way to the hairpin. Once he got to the bottom of the turn he tried to get into gear but the engine started sputtering.

"What the? Aizen-sama! My car it's out of gas. I cannot continue.

Ulquiorra told this to Tesla who only turned to Aizen. One look at Tesla and his face turned into a scowl. He slammed his notebook and stormed off thinking. 'Next race Kurosaki you. Are. Finished.'

On track from the camera's perspective Ulquiorra had run out when he was off camera in the tunnel. The next camera shot was in the exit."

American Booth

Jeremy: As we await Ulquiorra to come of the tunnel, I must comment the fortitude of the Souske group for their continued dom—

Nate: Wait a minute, Jeremy, Ulquiorra is taking too long. Wait, That's the 66.

Jeremy: Ulquiorra is out of gas. Holy cow. He must have run out right after the last camera shot. Chad was fifteen seconds behind him and now he is in front of George Schumacher by about 12 seconds.

In the car, Chad saw Ulquiorra slow down.

"Ryuken, Ulquiorra is out." Chad said over the radio.

"You have enough saved up. Punch it." Ryuken said uncharacteristically loudly.

"You got it." Chad said picking up the pace.

Japan booth

Kommamura: What a turn of events, Chad Yasotora is now leading the final lap of the Monaco Grand Prix.

Jushiro: If you have ever read the bio on this remarkable man, you would never believe he would be leading the final lap at the Monaco Grand Prix. Isshin Kurosaki took a chance with this young man and what a way to repay the man.

Kommamura: Through the harbor the 66 goes. He is coming up on lap traffic but I don't think it will be a factor. Through the last couple of turns he goes, around the bend he sees the flag. Chad Yasotora will win the Monaco Grand Prix.

In the pits both Kurosaki teams were cheering as were the three teammates in their cars as the came around to finish their race.

In the care center, Isane watched Chad cross the finish line. In an unusual move she let out a whoop of celebration. She then composes herself during which Dr. Unohana just smiled at the support.

"I know you're supposed to be professional, but I think cheering for your boyfriend will be fine."

Isane blushed.

On the track, Chad climbed out of the car amidst his team cheering for him. He was pulled aside by Jermaine.

Jermaine: Unbelievable finish. Chad, what made you think you could win this race.

Chad: I trusted the car, I trusted my team and I trusted myself. This whole win would not be possible without those.

Jermaine: With your history, did you ever think that you would be winning the Monaco Grand Prix.

Chad: Never in a million years. I thank Isshin for the chance he gave me and this is how I repay him. (Sees Isshin walking over and gives him a hug.)

Jermaine: Five wins in eleven races, do you think the Kurosaki team can make a run at both titles?
Chad: Absolutely, I might not win the driver's title but I can certainly help win the team title.

Jermaine: Thank you and congratulations.

Chad nodded and the team proceeded to celebrate.

Kurosaki-Ishida might be on top now but sinister motives lurk behind the scenes. What will happen? Find out next time on Bleach Grand Prix.
