Chapter 16: Nami (One Piece)
We come upon the large ocean known as the Grand Line. In those waters was a large ship that had a strange design as it looked like something out of a cartoon. It was called the Going Merry which was piloted by none other then the Straw Hat Pirates. On the ship was a young man who looked about seventeen or eighteen years of age, he had short messy black hair, light skin color, and a scar underneath his left eye. He also wore a straw hat, a red sleeveless vest, sandals, and blue short. His name was Monkey D. Luffy, the leader and captain of the Straw Hat Pirates. A man with blond hair, and a curly eye brow came at him with an angry look on his face. He was on the head of the ship looking over the beautiful sea, but it was not going to last long.
"LUFFY!" The man yelled.
"Oh! Hey, Sanji!" Luffy greeted toothy at his crew mate, this only made the man known as Sanji even more aggravated.
"Did you eat the meat again?!" Sanji, the ships cock yelled at the straw hat warring boy.
"But I was hungry..." Luffy said as he held his stomach with a grin, "It really hit the spot!"
"Damn it, Luffy!"
"Guys!" A feminine voice yelled at the two, she had neck length red hair, brown eyes, and was very curvy, she was known as Nami, the crews navigator. "Would you stop fighting already!"
Sanji grew huge cartoony shaped hearts on his eyes and said, "Yes, Nami-Swan!" He then went back into the ship kitchen. A woman with dark skin, blue eyes, shoulder length black hair, and also had a very curvacious figure came into the scene. She was known as Nico Robin, the crews archaeologist.
"Nami, do you have any idea where we are?"
"I'm not sure, It seems we might be lost." Nami said a little worried.
"LOST!" Luffy and a long nosed man both yelled and started screaming in panic, this only annoyed Nami.
"Will you shut up!" She yelled at the two.
"This has never happened before!" The long nosed man yelled in panic, he was known as Usopp, the crews sniper.
"It must have been the strange whirlpool..." Nami said in thought.
"What's going on?" A small reindeer asked walking out of the door, he was known as Tony Tony Chopper, the crews doctor.
"I think we might be lost." Nami said again, Chopper face turn from calm to frightened.
"LOST?"
"Don't you start!" Nami yelled.
"Hey, guys!" A voice yelled from the Poop deck, It was Roronoa Zoro, the crews swordsman, "I see something!"
"What?" Luffy asked.
"It's in front of you, idiot!" Zoro yelled at the straw hat warring captain. With that the whole crew looked to see what looked like a turtle or something.
"Is that a fish?" Nami asked squinting her eyes to get a good look.
"FOOD!" Luffy yelled with excitement, but it started to move and showed it to be a boy that looked about the same age as Luffy, he had brown hair, his eyes were closed, so they couldn't see his eye color. He had on a black and green T-shirt, brown pants, and green shoes.
What on earth?
"It's a kid!" Sanji yelled in horror.
"I-Is he okay?" Nami asked shocked. "Someone has to go get him!"
With that Zoro jumped in to the ocean and swam to the young man.
Minutes later
Zoro had finally retrieved the young man from the harsh waters.
"Is he dead?" Luffy asked looking at the boys still form.
"Chopper!" Nami yelled over to the ships doctor. Chopper ran up to the boy and checked his pulse. Chopper sighed in relief.
"He's still breathing, but his pulse is slower." Chopper assured the crew.
"What a relief..." Usopp sighed.
"We better take him to the infirmary." Chopper ordered, everyone nodded in agreement.
In the Infirmary
The young man now in the infirmary resting, Chopper was checking his pulse to see he was still breathing from the ordeal. Everyone outside was starting to worry about the boy.
"Hope, he pulls through." Sanji said with a worried tone. With that, Chopper came out of the infirmary with a grin.
"He's awake!" Chopper said.
"Thank goodness..." Nami said whipping the sweat from her forehead.
"Would you like to see him?" Chopper asked.
"Sorry, I gotta get dinner ready." Sanji said as he went into the kitchen.
"FOOD!" Luffy yelled as he followed.
"You idiot! Don't you dare come in my kitchen!" Sanji yelled, trying to push the Straw hat captain away.
"Just one person can see him, he still needs rest."
"You can see him, Nami." Robin said with a smile.
"Are you sure?" Nami asked. Robin nodded her head.
"I guess I can see him." Nami said as she walked up to the door.
With the boy
The boy looked around his surrounding in confusion, this place didn't look familiar to him at all. He thought the reindeer was a hallucination, but he was all too real.
"Can I come in?" A voice spoke. The boy was confused by the voice. He didn't recognized it either.
"Sure." The boy said weakly, the door opened to show the most beautiful girl he had ever seen in his life. She had neck length hair, hazel brown eyes, she wore a pretty reveling out fit with a mini skirt and a T-shirt that showed off some of her cleavage. Ben blushed a bit from staring.
'Wow, she's hot!' The boy thought blushing a bit, the girl looked at him in wonder.
"Are you sick?" The girl asked worried about him. The boy looked at her a gave a reassuring smile. Nami looked to see he had emerald green eyes (and quite captivating at that).
"Huh? No, It's just I have no idea were I am..." The boy said rubbing the back of his head.
The girl just looked at him and said, "Well, You're on the Going Merry and I'm Nami and I love money! What's your name?"
'Maybe It's okay to trust her, she did help save my life after all.' The boy thought.
The boy smiled at her and said, "It's a pleasure, I'm Ben, Ben Tennyson."
Few minutes later
Everyone introduced them selves to the young man. Everyone seemed to to be a little iffy about him being on the ship, but they knew some how he was a good person. Ben began to tell them about how he ended up in the water about the strange device on his wrist. Everyone was shocked by his explanation.
"Y-You're from another world?" Chopper asked shocked.
"You can shape shift?" Usopp said with his mouth gaped open in fear.
"Yeah..." Ben said while rubbing the back of his head in embarrassment.
"SO COOL!" Luffy yelled, everyone sweat dropped at this, Zoro hit him on the back of the head.
"Is he always like that?" Ben asked.
"Pretty much..." Nami said with a face palm.
"Join my crew!" Luffy yelled, everyone was shocked by what he just said.
"What?" Sanji yelled, "Are you stupid? We just met the guy!"
"Like I said, Join my crew!" Luffy yelled with his hand held over to Ben's. Ben looked at him.
"O-Okay, I don't see why not!" Ben said as he took his hand, they both grinned.
This seemed like this was going to be a pretty interesting day.
