After how many years, I finally managed to get some time to update.

Running across the rooftops, Shadow stopped as he smelt the air. Tonight, was the night Silver said how Sonic was going to going to kill him and the need for him to kill Sonic before that happened. He knew he had to decide about whether or not he was going to finish Sonic tonight, even if it meant the debt he owed Sonic was repaid or not. Catching Sonic's scent, Shadow followed it until it brought him to an alley and Shadow leapt down. Getting up, Shadow looked around the alley and gave a small chuckle. "Funny that you decided to pick this of all the places for this," Shadow remarked loudly, "this is where we first learned of each other's true nature."
Sonic stepped out of the shadows and shrugged as he transformed into his Lycan form, "Well, there's usually a stake or two around here. And I thought it would be a good place to finish this where it all started."
Pulling out a small silver knife, Shadow spun the weapon in his hand before shaking his head as he saw Sonic baring his teeth at him with a growl. It just confirmed Silver's story was true; Sonic did have the intention of biting him and then staking him. "You know what Sonic, I'm surprised," Shadow began, "I never thought you'd try to go behind my back."
"Heh. And I thought you were being honest about the 'not attacking me because of the debt thing'," replied Sonic as the two hedgehogs began to circle each other, "I guess you don't have as many morals as I thought you did."
"Survival of the fittest," Shadow shrugged as his fangs extended and he took a fighting stance, "do you just want to give up?"
"I think you know the answer to that." Sonic sneered and the two hedgehogs launched themselves at each other.
Aggressively, Shadow pounced onto Sonic's back and sunk his fangs into the Lycan's neck. Only letting go after Sonic slammed him into the wall three times, Shadow shook his head to recover from the attack as he got up. Getting slashed in the chest by Sonic's sharp claws, Shadow ignored the stinging pain as he kicked Sonic in the chest, causing Sonic to stagger back. Breathing heavily, Shadow saw Sonic was breathing just as heavy as him. However, he noticed Sonic seemed uneasy and conflicted. Seeing Sonic in this state, Shadow began to feel uneasiness about the situation as well. Suddenly, Sonic lunged at him and Shadow dodged the attacked, erasing all of the uneasiness he felt. Hitting the ground as Sonic pounced on him, Shadow quickly grabbed Sonic's mouth and pulled Sonic's jaws apart to keep his blue counterpart's teeth from clamping down on him. Quickly turning Sonic's head away, Sonic gave a small yelp and staggered back as Shadow kicked Sonic in the chest. Leaping to his feet, Shadow quickly rushed around Sonic and sunk his fangs into Sonic's shoulder, locking in his bite. Grunting as Sonic managed to grab him and threw him into a wall, Shadow shook his head as he stood up and the two hedgehogs began to circle each other again, both of them having clenched fists. "I still can't get over the fact that you decided to kill me after all the things we went through with Katherine." Sonic remarked.
Shadow responded, "I told you Sonic. I'm going to kill you if you try to kill me first."
"Well, you were gonna try to kill me. So, I had to take you out first."
"You're going to kill me-"
"I don't want to kill you, but you were gonna kill me-" Sonic started and Shadow stopped moving as he lowered his fists and retracted his fangs.
"What?" Shadow cut off and Sonic stopped moving as well and returned to his normal form.
"Someone told me you were going to kill me."
"Interesting. Someone told me you were going to kill me."
"Who told you? Was it Silver? Because that's who told me," Sonic explained and Shadow scowled as he crossed his arms, "so the question here is why?"
"Hmph. Looks like Silver has some explaining to do..." Shadow began.
"So, let's go find him and ask what game he's trying to play." Finished Sonic and Shadow nodded as the two hedgehogs dashed out of the alley.
