Chapter Fifteen:

It was getting hotter as the sun got closer. They didn't waste anytime ascended the huge mountain of rock...

Kyra stayed as close to Rynn as possible while Rynn done the same with Riddick, even though he was further up the rock. It was a good view from Rynn's point, seeing that nice ass on her man but no time for that.

Riddick was so light on his feet, jumping from one place to another, stopping only to look down at the girls. "Keep movin' ladies."

Tired and rolling her eyes, Rynn gave Riddick a glare.

"We are lug nut." Kyra stated.

The corner of his mouth curled up slightly.

"Ass." Rynn heard Kyra mumble under her breath and she smiled at the girl.

Riddick had made it to a hole in the rocks, peering down, watching the rest slowly make it.

"Ow! Rynn had grabbed onto a place that was hot and starting to steam. She looked back over her shoulder seeing the sun increasing in speed.

It was only a matter of moments before it hit them completely...

"Go, Kyra!" Rynn urged, placing her hand on the back of her leg. A few seconds later Riddick pulled her up but Rynn was still behind.

The others, who decided to go along, stopped to take shelter, huddled up, hiding from the scorching sun but that wouldn't keep them from turning to ash in a matter of moments. Stupid move on their part.

"Riddick." Rynn was stuck.

"Get that ass movin'!"

"I can't." Looking at her surrondings, not seeing her next move, Rynn ended up doing like the others, finding a spot and staying hidden.

She, as well as others, watched the shooting flames get closer, looking like her life was about to flash before her eyes, panic set in. "Riddick!"

"Do something." Kyra urged, shoving at him violently.

"Tryin' to knock me off, are ya?"

"I will if you don't get Rynn!"

Riddick's goggled covered eyes starting scanning. They landed on one of the inmates that came with them. "Your rope."

"It's to late. She's not going to make it. None of us are."

"YOUR ROPE!" Riddick bellowed out. "Give me your rope and your water. ALL OF IT!" Riddick caught them as they were tossed his way. "Stay in the shadow of the mountain." He instructed and they hesitated. "Don't wait for me. RUN!" He finally got them going by the volume and harshness of that deep voice.

Riddick opened the canteen of water, dumping it completely out on himself. He than tied the rope around his waist, tying the other end in a loop.

Rynn glanced up. "What are you doing?"

"Saving you ass. Again!"

'Ugh!' Rolling her eyes again. "Just stay there. I can make it."

"No you can't! Stay put!"

"Thanks for the bout of confidence." She snorted.

"What?!"

"Nothing, Riddick. Just hurry up!"

He glanced back at Kyra. "Move back and stay hidden."

He surveyed the area finding a boulder to loop the other end of the rope to so he could swing and go get Rynn before she turned to ash.

He snatched her from the sun, swinging back to where he was, to where Kyra was.

"Ah!" Riddick's mommentum slammed Rynn back first agaist the mountain.

He got his footing just in the nick of time before he manuvered them both deeper into the mountain, into the shadows while the sun done its thing with some unlucky convicts, burning them up instantly, turning them to ash.

'So much for staying hidden.' He thought. Wasn't his fault they were slow.

He than turned his attention back to Rynn. He still had her pinned to the mountain wall. He took a step back to look her over.

"Too close, Rynn." A tone to his voice.

She finally opened her eyes to see Riddick literally smoking and with slight burn to his face and arms.

"Too close." He mummbled again, placing his hand flat against her stomach, adding slight pressure before kissing her lips. Not giving her anytime to react he took her hand continuing on...

Riddick stopped and croutched down. "Listen." He whispered, grabbing onto a convict's ankle that had suprisingly made it. Riddick looked back over his shoulder at the girls that were inches away.

"Not hearing anything, big evil."

"Shh." He hushed Kyra and her attitude up.

Riddick crawled this time, laying low as Rynn and Kyra followed suit.

What they saw was no surpise. Out in the distance was the plague.

The impeding plague know as Necromongers.

"No wonder it's so quiet." Rynn muttered. "Damn, Necros."

"And a whole lotta Necro fire power." Riddick added.

"So what now?" She questioned.

"Wait."

"What? Riddick they're headed our way. Plus the sun is coming around again. We can't wait."

"Just wait."

"For what?!"

"Gettin' awfully snappy, babygirl."

Her eyebrows creased.

What was Riddick getting at?

Whatever it was it would have to wait as they heard and saw fire power in the distance. The Necros were attacking some leftover locals that were hiding in a cove.

That's why he told them to wait.

Riddick pulled out his shiv. "You up for playin' who's the better killer?"

"I am!" Kyra eagerly responded.

"No." His voice stern. "You will stay close to Rynn. Understand?" Growling a little.

"I'd be in her way, besides I can take care of myself."

"You stay close to me, Kyra. I can't let anything happen to you." Rynn pulled her into an embrace before getting ready for battle.

Fire power and physical fighting began. Rynn and Riddick tag teamed to take out as much Necros as possible, all the while Kyra did her best to stay close to Rynn without getting in the way or killed. She did end up getting a few hits in. She did good.

But there was a slight distraction from Kyra that got Rynn caught from behind but Riddick was able to throw a blade, it looked like it was going directly for Rynn but was meant for the Necro and got the Necro. The blade impailed itself into his face, missing Rynn's by mere inches. Her man had great precision.

Off in the not so far distance, the sun was getting closer. Rynn yanked the blade from the Necros's face, turning around and seeing Vaako, with his gun, shooting at one of his own and at Riddick.

"NOOO!"

You could hear her screaming almost like she was off in the distance as Riddick went down, landing on the ground.

Rynn came out of nowhere, jumping Vaako from behind, but got caught by yet another Necro. Being held against her will, with a knife to her throat, being forced to watch as Riddick lay injured. "Get up, Riddick." She whispered.

"Get out of his hold, Rynn and run!" Riddick finally being able to get to his knees and able to see the blade at her throat, making him boil even more inside.

"So, you can kneel?" Vakko crept closer to Riddick.

Suddenly something appeared, more like someone. A woman. Rynn saw her as well as Riddick, everyone actually. His chest soon had a light blue glowing hand print on it before his veins turned to that color.

Vakko shot the gun again and it blew them back from the impact of that blue mark. It even affected Riddick, laying him out this time, knocking him unconscious?

"RIDDICK?!" Rynn screamed, thinking the worst. "Riddick, you bastard! You can't do this!You can't leave us! I don't want to raise this baby alone!"

What did she just say?

She stilled in shock. Everything came to her in a flash. Those hints that Riddick kept giving her hit her like a ton of bricks. She even remembered that look Riddick gave her after the last time he took her, like he already knew. He did. He knew the moment they conceived.

"My, God." She was truly in amazement. She started to sob from joy.

"I'm pregnant." She gasped out.

But there was no time to enjoy the moment the sun was back and Rynn snapped back into reality, trying to go for Riddick but forgot she was still held captive. "LET ME GO!"

"Shut up!" The Necro that held her ordered. Removing the blade from her throat he than proceeded to drag her by the hair, to board the ship, forcing her to leave Riddick to a unknown fate.

*Kind of a cliff hanger and chapter a little short but hope you enjoyed and still more to come. Wonder if Rynn will end up doing something in the next chapter that will, of course, be not to Riddick's liking. Hehe. ;) Hope you continue to stay tuned :)
