Troll

Percy Weasley was a little shit. He was a troll before trolling was even a thing. George knew it. Fred knew it. And yet, they couldn't do anything about it.

Because their mum never believed them!

Percy would pull pranks left and right, always timed perfectly to make it look like Fred and George had done it instead. Perfect Percy could do no wrong in their mother's eyes.

Fred and George hated it.

They also hugely respected it, and made it their mission in life to goad Percy into tripping up and letting their parent's know just what a shit he was.

"Fred! George! You come down here right this minute!"

Fred groaned. He knew it was something Percy had done because he knew that he and George hadn't actually done anything wrong this time. They'd been chilling in their room.

"I don't know what you heard," he said as he walked down the stairs in front of his twin, "but whatever it is, Percy started it."

Molly rolled her eyes. "You're telling me that Percy had a fight with the flour and decided not to clean it up? I know you two were talking about making those ridiculous cakes yesterday!"

George and Fred stared around the white kitchen in shock. Literally every surface was covered in flour.

"Clean it up," their mum ordered, a warning of dire consequences if they complained clear in her eyes.

"But-"

"Now!"

Perhaps the fact that Percy was a shit, and that only Fred and George knew it, was the reason that George would only respond to Percy after Fred died.

Everyone else he ignored, laying with his face pressed into his pillow, paying them no mind. When Percy came, George would turn over to look at him, and occasionally, a ghost of a smile would appear on his face.

It made Molly feel glad that she'd ignored Percy being a shit over the years. Mother's intuition had always told her it would be useful one day.

Although... it broke her heart now that she'd been right.
