Title:Darling, You'll Be Okay
Rating:M
Summary:Her life had never been perfect. In fact, it had been the complete opposite. After years of constant bullying, dirty looks, and insecurities, Brittany has finally comes to terms that her life will not get any better. That is until she transfers schools, moves to a different city, and meets one smoking hot waitress named Santana Lopez.Girl-Peen!
Disclaimers:This story is loosely based off of The Perks Of Being A Wallflower AND the song Mine (which Naya Rivera rocked). I own no characters, except for the ones I create. Nor should I have credit for some of the similarities between the two things stated above.

A/N: Oh my gosh, I am SO SORRY for disappearing for two fucking years, like literally. I hope none of you abandoned this story because I have not. I apologize profusely for leaving on such a random note, but everything has worked itself out, and I am back! Here's the newest chapter.. A lot of it I had written back in 2014, when I was still working heavily on it. I got into some stuff and we're just not going to talk about it. Finished this chapter up, just for you guys and the story will continue. Also, have another G!P story out called Elevated for any of your Bechloe shippers out there. Thanks for sticking with me!

Also, sorry this chapter is relatively short. I will definitely hammer out a longer one next chapter.

You feel your heart pounding and you know the exact reason it's doing that. Santana sent you flowers because she knew that today was the six month anniversary of losing Molly. God, you really need to thank her.

You throw on more presentable clothes, opting out of trying to put your contacts in because you're kind of in a hurry. You know that Santana's working today. She always works on Tuesday. You also know that she's working a late shift, so she'll be there until around midnight. You grab your calculus book, knowing that even if you're hanging with Santana, you still need to study.

You ask Kaitlyn for a ride to Frank's, but instead she just throws you the keys to her car and tells you to be safe, winking as she walks out of the room.

You think that you should probably get her something, too. Maybe a 'thank you' card or a candy bar. Who are you kidding? You have no idea what to give her, but it's natural to you because you never really had many friends to give things to. You decide to just go straight to Frank's and thank her like a normal human being would. It was around 7pm, so you knew she'd be going on break soon, anyway. Is it weird that you know her entire schedule for most weeks? Nah, because she told you so that you knew what days you could hang out there, and what days she'd come and hang out with you.

You pull into the parking lot and your stomach is already doing flips. You see Santana sitting outside on a bench, talking on her phone and your face lights up as your eyes come in contact with each other. She shoots you a megawatt smile and mouths for you to hold on for a second.

"Si, Mami!" You hear her explain and find it extremely adorable that she's speaking Spanish, to who you assume is her mother, "Lo estoy haciendo bien. Me tengo que ir, mi amigo esta aqui. Si, ciao." (I'm doing well. I have to go, my friend is here).

Santana groans as she finally hangs up with her mother. "I'm sorry, that woman never shuts up." Santana smiles at you again and you give her a shy smile back. "How are you?"

"Better than I was before; some really sweet girl sent me flowers, today." You reply nonchalantly before sitting next to her on the bench, resting your head on her shoulder. "Thank you, so much. You have no idea how much those meant to me."

Santana kisses you on the top of your head and you can feel the warmth of her breath dance against your scalp. "You're welcome, Britt. I knew today would be rough on you, I just wanted you to know that you're not alone."

You lift your head and look up at her and press your lips together. God, she's so beautiful and you feel like the luckiest person on earth to have found her. You lean forward and place a small kiss on her lips. "I'm not alone," you say above a whisper, "I've got you."

"And I've got you, always." She replies before kissing you again. You feel your heart soar and your head is spinning, but in the best ways possible.

"I'm so lucky I found you." You mumble against her lips and you hear her chuckle a little before she pulls back and grabs your hands.

"Maybe, I'm the lucky one. Or maybe, we're both lucky. We've both been through a lot of shit in our lives, but we found each other; and that makes up for a lot. I really do like you, Britt. You're always so understanding, caring, and you actually listen. It's hard to find people like you, these days. I'm just extremely glad I did, because I know that we'll both get through our troubled pasts." Santana starts, "As long as I've got you by my side, I feel like I can do anything. I feel like I can make something of myself. I feel like there's actually someone there who has faith in me."

"Santana, I'll always have faith in you. You've been through so much, too. You're brave for coming out here to a city you don't know. I'm proud to call you my friend. And hopefully, one day, I'll be proud to call you mine." You reply and Santana gives you this look; this look of complete and total adoration, and in that moment, you know that everything you've ever wanted is staring right back at you.

"God, Britt… You make me so extremely happy." Santana says before kissing you. "I want to be with you so badly, but I know that you need time and—…"

"No," You interrupt, "I'm done needing time and waiting for something perfect to come along, because you already did. I'm done living in the past and living in all of the hurtful things that people have said to me. I just want you, I need you…"

"Oh baby, oh baby?" Santana jokes and you instantly laugh at her 10 Things I Hate About You reference. "I need you, too, Britt; more than you could ever imagine."

"So be with me," You reply with confidence.

"Please tell me that this isn't a dream I'm going to wake up from if I say yes." Santana breathes out, and you look at her with a small smile.

"It's not a dream, I promise." You say, twiddling with your thumbs because even though you're about 100% sure what the answer will be, she still hasn't given you one.

You watch as Santana bites her lower lip and you watch as her hand reaches towards yours so that you stop your anxious tick. "Yes. Yes, I will be with you, Brittany." She leans forward and kisses you gently on the lips and you can't help but melt.

This is the most alive you've felt since you lost something so near and dear to you. You feel like you can't get bad again, not with someone as supportive as Santana by your side. And you especially don't want to get bad again; finally a life without worrying about ink blot tests, empty pill bottles, bloodshot eyes, and doctors watching your every move. This is good for you; Santana's good for you.

"Are you going to say anything or just stare at me? I get that the view is nice and all, but you're oddly quiet." Santana laughs as she playfully pushes on your arm.

"I'm just… I'm so happy." You say just above a whisper, and it's the truth. This is the happiest you've been in awhile, and you're so grateful that you found the beautiful human being in front of you. "I can't really explain it…"

"You don't have to explain anything, Britt." Santana smiles and rests her head on your shoulder. She starts playing with your hands and your breathing grows even. "I'm honestly just glad the feeling is reciprocated."

"With a smoking hot girlfriend like you, how could it not be?" You joke causing Santana to laugh, the vibration going through your shoulder.

This was what you had been waiting for most of your life. Not that Molly didn't give you this feeling instantaneously because she did, and she was your first everything, which in itself was special and intimate. But Santana was different. There was something special about the Latina that you couldn't quite pinpoint yet. You felt this sense of security with Santana that differed than the security you felt with Molly. You didn't know how to explain it, but you think it has something to do with the fact that you and Molly took years building that security and feeling up, whereas Santana just instantly causes it. For the first time in your life, you weren't dancing around the negative things that could happen. You were living in the moment, and it was the best decision you had ever made.
