A Passing Grade
Theo let his head fall to the table with a dull thunk.
"What's the matter?" Blaise asked, looking up from the essay he'd been writing. It was sunday morning, and while he'd rather still be in bed, warm and comfortable and wrapped around Theo, his boyfriend had insisted they get up early and go to the library.
"I'm going to fail Astronomy," Theo complained, his voice muffled by the wood of the table.
"You're not going to fail," Blaise replied softly. "You're just doing the research wrong. I'll sort it out, okay?"
Theo lifted his head to frown at Blaise. "What do you mean, you'll sort it? I don't trust you sorting things."
Blaise raised a hand to his heart, wounded. "I can't believe you have no faith in me! My own boyfriend! I'm so betrayed."
"You're such an idiot," Theo corrected. "But seriously," he gestured to his books. "None of this makes even the slightest bit of sense."
Blaise leant over the table and kissed him lightly. "I told you, I'll sort it. I'll help you learn."
"Uh huh."
With a salacious smile, Blaise added, "Can we go back to bed now?"
…
"This was your plan to help me learn?" Theo asked, raising his eyebrow.
Blaise nodded, smiling. "Yup. Genius isn't it?"
"There's only one problem," Theo murmured, snuggling into Blaise's side, his eyes on the stars across the night sky.
"What?"
"We're secluded, we're alone, we have a beautiful view… the last thing I'm thinking of right now is learning Astronomy."
Blaise laughed, leaning back against the wall. "So it's my fault I didn't factor in that you're a horny shit?"
Theo nodded. "Uh huh."
Blaise shook his head, and then pointed at the stars. "Be horny later. In fact, you can repay me for this in any horny way you like, but for now…"
Theo settled in. He thought that if this was what his Astronomy lessons were all like, with Blaise reciting the stars and constellations in hushed tones while stroking his side, he'd pass them with no problem.
