Simon's POV
Jeez what's that thing's problem? It should just leave while it still can. Maybe I can frighten it away? No I can't get close enough to it. Maybe I could-. No that wouldn't work. Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh! What is wrong with you Simon? You're supposed to hate it yet here you are thing about its pretty brown hair. Why are girls so complicated? Maybe I could get it shipped to the west block? No that's too much work and it's not worth all the trouble. (sigh) maybe I should go train to get my mind off of that hideous thing.
Set up skip
I approached the cans and pails that I had set up and prepared Scorpio. As I aimed at the can its face appeared before me and I miss fired. Ahhhhh snap out of it Simon don't let it get to you. If you can't focus now then how are you going to focus in a crossfire with that thing watching you? I aimed Scorpio at another can and its face appeared again. No matter what I try I can't get it out of my mind.
"Curse you Saiku!"

With Saiku
Saiku: Achoo!
In a second Yuki appeared next to Saiku holding a box of tissues. She took one gratefully and dabbed at her nose. As quickly as she could blink Yuki was feeling her forehead and cheeks to check for any signs of a fever.
Samuru's POV
From the corner of my eye I watched Yuki touch Saiku. What's his problem? Can't he see we're having a moment here?
"Something bothering you Samuru? You seem upset about something. Could it be-?"
"You talk too much Dravise. Be quiet." I hushed Dravise before he could say any more.
"You ok Saiku?"
Curious brown eyes peered into mine with a confused expression.
"What do you mean Muru?"
I could feel the usual burning sensation in my cheeks whenever she called me that rising in my cheeks but I swallowed it down. At a loss for words I said the first thing that came to mind.
"Well you sneezed so glasses over there is wondering if you're getting sick."
Nice save Samuru. I saw glasses turning a bit red in the face and I smirked internally. This is going to be a fun crossfire season.
"I don't feel sick. Maybe somebody was talking about me. Can I come over tonight?"
"Sure. But I'm not going home right after the crossfire. Dad has some business to take care of."
"Fair enough. How is uncle Gennosuke? I haven't seen him for a long while now."
"He's alright I guess. I don't really care."
"Something happen between the two of you again?"
"No I just don't care. He doesn't tell me if he's sick or not so I just don't check."
The Crossfire will commence in exactly one hour. All participants must be in place fifteen minutes before start time.
Well here we go again.

Time skip to the very last match. Saiku's POV
The champion was going to be determined in a break bomber match. Samuru and Riki were both in position. The match started flawlessly. At the last red block Riki and Samuru were tied. Both shot their special shots at the final block. With the power level the same the block didn't move an inch. As both shots intensified a bright light surrounded the table and everyone in the room was blinded. As our eyes readjusted to the normal lighting in the room we found out that the block had completely disintegrated to a pile of dust and smoke leaving both boys at their tie. What an awesome match. Looking at Samuru's face was the biggest surprise of the day. He had one of the biggest smiles on his face I had never seen before. It warmed my heart a bit as well as my cheeks. Both opponents shook hands and walked off of the platform. Looks like there's more to you than I realized Samuru Shigami.
