Chapter 22: Goku's Gambit

"Looks like it's my turn again, Frieza." Goku's confidence was unmistakable but Frieza had seen this act before.

"Oh my, I am soooo scared." He retorted, his voice giving the Saiyan the level of scorn he deserved for being foolish enough to challenge him to a fight, twice, especially when he should've died the first time.

"You should be Frieza. I am stopping you this time." Goku said as he slid into the stance that had caused so much trouble for the frost demon just a short while ago.

'He thinks he can intimidate me. I'll show that filthy monkey.' Frieza steamed for a moment before spiking his power up to 20 percent.

Goku took note of this though and prepared himself to use his Kaioken at a moment's notice.

An eerie silence befell the entire area as the two titans stared each other down. Neither so much as flinching, as a strong breeze blew shipped through blowing up a cloud of dust.

Before the wind had even fully crossed the battlefield both warriors faded out, nothing more than after images, appearing again before either image had even fully vanished, resuming their stalemate.

Just as Piccolo, Chi Chi, and Nappa noticed the pair had moved, a series of explosions washed across the island as the shock waves from the two tidal waves of energy crashed together again and again in the brief instant they had vanished. When the area had settled back down the island itself was down to only a quarter of its original size, nearly a perfect circle around the small group of onlookers.

"Impressive monkey... I see your races obnoxious ability to constantly gain strength from injuries has proven quite useful." Frieza managed, trying to keep his temper in check for the time being as he rubbed his now swelling cheek. "But it won't be enough I can assure you."

Goku too was rubbing his cheek, when he had managed to land his hit Frieza's outstretched arm had marked him as well. "You weren't kidding about holding back." Goku responded, "But you know, going after my friends like that is kind of a desperate move if you ask me." He scolded the Frost Demon for a tactic none of the onlookers had even realized he had employed. The Saiyan's demeanor darkened preparing himself to take Frieza down once and for all. "This ends now Frieza."

In a flash he took off, raising his Kaioken all the way up to times ten. Frieza couldn't follow his movement as the Saiyan appeared seemingly out of nowhere and began to unleash a devastating series of punches into Frieza's stomach. Frieza was paralyzed by agony as blow after blow rained down on him. His back stretched painfully as Goku's fists threatened to break straight through him.

Finally, the Saiyan warrior let up on his attack, only to monkey flip the tyrant backwards and begin to charge his Kamehameha wave.

He unleashed his attack just as the Frost Demon righted himself. Frieza was barely able to raise his hands in time before the massive column of energy crashed into his outstretched hands, threatening to completely envelop him.

It was a desperate race against time as Frieza struggled to split his attention before keeping the blast back and raising his own power to avoid his seemingly inevitable fate.

Goku continued to push, determined to learn the depth of his adversaries power once and for all.

Piccolo and the others were only now becoming aware that the fight had started again. A series of rock shattering booms echoed throughout the area at the same instant the Kamehameha was launched.

They could only look on in terror as the struggle continued. Piccolo was the first to compose himself. "We need to get out of here now!" He shouted before grabbing Dende and taking to the air. This fight was too much for them and apparently Frieza was trying to use that fact against Goku. Besides, he didn't want to be around if that attack detonated.

The other two were silent for a moment before quickly following the Namekian's lead away from the conflict as fast as they could move.

Frieza's hands were awash with agony. Slowly he brought the monstrous attack to a stop. He had risen his power to nearly half of his maximum in the process.

Then, after a moment of struggling without breaking the stalemate, he upped his power further before he tail-slapped the beam upwards into space.

Frieza floated there panting for a moment. Across the sky, Goku also waited panting slightly with the prolonged exertion.

Frieza wasted no time gloating over his achievement. This game was starting to feel like it had gone on too long already.

He launched forward, first at a speed Goku could follow, but then phased out at the last moment before Goku, who had gone back to a times ten Kaioken, could turn in time to defend against Frieza unleashing a double ax handle on the back of the Saiyan's head.

The Saiyan from Earth plummeted to the ground below, the island he hit completely shattering, and falling into the sea.

Frieza wasn't done yet though and began to unleash a nonstop barrage into the general area that Goku had landed. Purple bubbles of destruction began to bubble up as the energy first hit the water's edge, the seabed below, creating a maelstrom of energy vaporizing a large portion of the water in this local region of the world-wide sea.

Frieza stood silently for a moment before a smirk came to his face. His adversary was not dead yet. A warrior that strong would not be taken down by an attack like that but he had retaken command of the fight and as long as he had that he would play a game with his prey before he vaporized every atom of him.

But as the seconds ticked by, Frieza began to worry that he had over estimated the his foolish opponent and ended the game too quickly.

(Below the waves)

Goku held his breath just before hitting giving himself time to think, 'Wow ok so this is his maximum huh? I could try to up the Kaioken but it could burn me out too fast. What to do?' After another second of thought, inspiration struck him, 'That's it!'

Above, Frieza's patience was wearing thin "Don't tell me the mighty monkey is already through playing our little game. It was just becom- huh?" He started to say as a small dense ball of energy shot from the water.

Frieza swatted it away with his tail unamused, before donkey kicking the just appearing Goku, sending him flying.

Goku quickly came to a stop, cupped his hand prepared to try his signature technique again, only this time he would use a times twenty.

Frieza was confident though and began to charge up an attack of his own "Oh this game again. Here, try this!" He shouted as he unleashed his death cannon right into the just released Kamehameha wave.

The two massive attacks collided, holding steady for a minute before Goku's attack began to slowly give way.

Piccolo and the others could only watch in horror as the end seemed to be drawing near, "We've got to help. Hurr-" Piccolo started to instruct before a second massive attack shot out of the water.

Frieza's eyes were shining with delight, 'The fool thought he could trick me with such a stupid strategy? Ha! I suppose this is the perfect time to end his little struggle once and for all!'

Just as Frieza began to raise his power again, accelerating his attack towards his Saiyan enemy, he let out a pained scream. The second Kamehameha attack had found its mark, crashing into his back. He lost his concentration, his attack lost its momentum, and the first Kamehameha rapidly pushed the massive attack back to its source.

In an instant, Frieza was trapped between the mixing attacks. His body began to burn away as he desperately tried to bring the depths of his power to the surface, they were his only chance of survival. Then, unexpectedly the entire volatile combination of attacks detonated.

The shockwave was enough to knock Goku backwards through the sky. Even the group of onlookers several miles away were blown from their perch; the force assaulting them was other-worldly.

Finally it ended. Piccolo was the first to rise back to his feet, just in time to rub his eyes, before realizing what his rival had done with a smirk on his face, as a second Goku rose from the water, rushing up to the Goku in the air.

When Goku's clone had reached him they immediately high fived each other, happy smiles on their faces at the apparent success of their plan. Then each turned to face the smoke cloud searching out with their minds to detect any remaining power level.

The smoke gradually cleared, in its center was a literally steaming Frieza. His body looking deep fried as his muscles clenched in unending agony. His once elegant tail was now nothing more than a charred stump, as his focus had been on protecting his body.

"No way!" One Goku started, "He survived that?" The second Goku finished.

Frieza's vision gradually began to clear. At first he thought he was seeing double, as the Goku's stared back at him in shock at his survival.

"Wow, I really thought we got him that time." One said to the other. Causing Frieza's eyes to bulge painfully from his head. 'Either I've caught their insanity or there really are two of them...' Neither thought was particularly appealing to the injured frost demon.

"Alright plan B." Goku said confidently as his two halves refused. "Kaioken times twenty!" He shouted, prepared to incapacitate Frieza fully and give him one last shot at redemption.

He stopped suddenly though, about halfway to the Frost Demon who just dropped from the sky. When he reached the ground, his fists slammed into the island shattering it. "No! No! No! I refuse to be made a fool of anymore!"

Goku looked on, unsure of how to react to the fit his adversary was throwing in the middle of their fight.

"You...I hate you! I am going to KILL YOU!" Frieza shouted at the top of his lungs, even muscle in his body contracting as he desperately pulled out his full power, "I WILL MAKE YOU PAY!" His power spiked, "YOU WILL SUFFER BY MY HANDS, YOU FILTHY MONKEY!"

It spiked higher as Goku suddenly realized he was losing his advantage again. 'No way! Where does he keep getting power from?' He thought as he rushed towards his enemy desperate to stop this latest surge.

He had only made it within a few meters of the tyrant before an enormous surge of power knocked him back. Frieza's arms were enlarging again, as if he was going into his giant form once more.

His growth was limited to his muscles this time though. He has bulked himself up with as much strength as he could hold.

Goku was worried now. Again, he had failed to eliminate the threat while he had the advantage. Now he was going to have to fight from behind. He thought back to the last time Frieza's power eclipsed his, the pain the agony, his friends dying, 'No, I can't fail!'

He powered up his Kaioken and launched forward, his arm meeting Frieza's buffed up forearm, which didn't even budge. Frieza's face shifted to a dark smirk, before unleashing a powerful blow to the Saiyan's face, breaking his nose in one move.

Goku stopped himself as fast as he could, his arms already raised in defense. Blood streamed down his face, his eyes barely able to stay open, but it was too late, he had lost track of Frieza. Before he could react, his feet were swept from under him, as Frieza phased in behind him.

He flipped backwards and unleashed a small blast, hoping to take his adversary off guard, but the attack simply shot through an after image.

"Too slow." Frieza taunted from above the Saiyan, quickly falling back into his more sadistic personality, it appeared he was firmly back in control of the situation, which meant he could afford to play around a little. 'I do love to make pests squirm after all.'

Goku had spotted him in the time it took him to think to himself, and was already back on the attack. Just as Goku reached him, his fist passed through an after image again. Frieza appeared right next to him, his knee already extending into the Saiyan's solar plexus.

Goku's eye's widened in agony, as a mixture of blood and spittle rained from his mouth. He dropped to the ground unable to breath and at least one rib had definitely just shattered. He couldn't even focus enough to hold onto his Kaioken as his red aura vanished.

His lapse was only temporary though as he powered up again, running on pure adrenaline as he tried to block out the pain and go back onto the attack. His foot passed through yet another after image just as he was about to make contact. As he came skidding to a stop, Frieza phased in front of him, their head's on a collision course. Goku's head jerked back sharply as he was flung to the ground unable to rise again.

Blood continued to stream from his lips with each breath, bringing further fiery agony. 'Not...good...King Kai...was right...he must really be the...strongest in...the universe...my energy is...fading fast...I have to think...of something...fast it may...be...my last chance...'

"What's the matter, where is that tough guy bravado you had earlier? Something about someone rising to defeat me or something like that? All you 'hero' types end up sounding the same. Your promises of avenging the dead always ring so hollow when you are about to join them." Frieza taunted, his heart rate increasing with excitement, there was a look of defeat that had crossed the Saiyans face; it was the same one that had appeared when he had blown a hole through him.

Goku's momentary lapse ended as abruptly as it started, "I don't know how, Frieza, but I will defeat you once and for all!" He shouted, his earlier confidence back at full strength. His fist lashed out attempting to strike its target but Frieza's hand was waiting for him. Immediately the Frost Demon's counter strike hit home beneath Goku's out stretched arm, a wail of agony rocking the landscape as his broken rib was hit again and again.

"Yes, yes, scream! I want you to know the true meaning of pain! You stole my tail, so I'm stealing your life." Frieza broke into a mad laughter as he released Goku's arm, which immediately wrapped his battered torso as he staggered back, falling to one knee.

'Not good, this is just like before...' He thought to himself as he continued to desperately try to think of a solution to the dire situation he found himself endlessly trapped in. Suddenly, inspiration struck him. He didn't need long, just long enough to make his plan work.

Frieza was just finishing his laughter and about to begin his torture again when Goku's hands suddenly rushed to his face. The Frost Demon had an odd sense of Deja vu just as the Saiyan shouted, "Solar Flare!" and he was blinded.

Goku rocketed away from the demon as fast as he could, taking cover behind a rock pillar. He stretched his hands out to the sky and called upon all the creatures of Namek to lend him their energy.

They had made good time. With any luck they would be able to get Recoome the medical attention he needed and then the Captain would be able to help them locate their attackers and finish the mission.

They were only a few islands away when suddenly Burter let out a sound of panic, "NO! The Captain!" He shouted as he dropped towards the ground as fast as he could, Jeice carrying Recoome right behind him.

Captain Ginyu was struggling, not just to stay conscious but to retain the little bit of his remaining strength he had. Soon, his body would fail him completely, and when that time came, he would die. Two hundred years of body snatching was almost at an end it appeared. His vision was so far gone he could only see light and dark, nothing else.

A shadow crossed his face. Somewhere in the back of his dying mind, hope sprang forth. If he could just gather the strength needed to switch one more time, he could survive. It didn't matter if he was stuck in some weak native's body or not. Hell, even an animal would be preferable to the eternal damnation that awaited him when his luck finally ran out.

The darkness just kept coming though, he didn't have enough strength, and he slipped fully into unconsciousness.

"He's got a pulse. We have to get moving." Burter said worriedly, as he gingerly picked up the Captain and redoubled his pace back towards the ship.

Within a matter of seconds they had arrived, and immediately took in the scale of the damage. The island was a mess and the ship was definitely not flyable at the moment. "Wow, this was some fight." Burter mumbled as he and Jeice made their way inside hoping the medical equipment was still functional.

Rushing through the ship, Burter veered off towards the auxiliary medical center. He immediately found it in ruin. He about faced immediately and rushed back towards the main medical bay with the hopes of coopting the other system from Jeice. When he arrived he found the red magma of the Ginyu force internally debating with himself.

'If Vegeta's in the tank, Frieza musta put him there. And if I take him out to put Recoome in, he might put me in there.'

"Jeice, what the hell are you doing. Help me get the monkey out and the captain in." Burter shouted rushing past him.

"Wait you can't mate! What if Frieza put him there?" Jeice shouted stopping Burter in his tracks.

"Well what else can we do?" The blue alien responded.

"We could put him in stasis. He really needs level 10 treatment anyway." Jeice responded as he began to rush from the ship. Captain Ginyu still losing blood.

Within seconds they had Recoome and Ginyu in stasis, giving the duo time to plan where to go next.

"Look at the map, there's a level 10 base only 2 weeks away." Burter suggested.

"But that's one of Cooler's bases mate, you know how the Capt'n feels about him." Jeice countered.

"It's our best hope." Burter responded, "Besides we need good medical attention and Frieza's medbases are always second rate as it is."

Jeice had to concede the point, "Hopefully the Capt'n isn't too mad."

When Jeice and Burter had rushed from the room, they didn't notice they were being watched. Inside the healing pod Vegeta wasn't only fully awake, but also fully recovered. 'That fool Kakarot spared those fools, and why were they carrying around that fool Ginyu? He should've died.' The timer went off in the ship and the solution began to drain. 'Those fools should've waited around another minute. I would've ended all of their worries in one go.'

He rose from the capsule with a smirk on his face, "I guess I can remedy all the past mistakes now." He thought to himself as he burst from the roof of the med-bay looking for his targets.

He looked to the sky as four ships streaked away 'Hn.' He grunted, as he watched them leave. Cursing their sudden luck. He stood there a moment trying to decide what to do. He could feel the titanic energies clashing in the distance each more than enough to squash him like an insect in an instant; at the same time he couldn't help but notice one ship remaining, his interest piqued.

Gohan looked outside his main viewport. In front of him was a rapidly expanding green sphere. He could only look on amazed. It was the first time he had seen a planet in all of its majesty.

Raditz far was less impressed. Every ounce of his being was warning him to turn the ships around and flee the system. On their way in they had seen several other massive attacks shoot out into space in different directions. Since they weren't aimed at them, he could only assume some sort of titanic struggle was taking place on the planet. A struggle he would likely die in upon landing.

Suddenly, the radar system finished its reboot and blared to life, just as he noticed a small series of dots in the distance. Streaking parallel to his and the brat's ship, just in the other direction. His eyes shot to the radar and saw the last symbol he expected to see, the official insignia of none other than the Ginyu Force.

Raditz's heart sank. If the Ginyu Force was leaving that meant the battle was over. Vegeta and Nappa were dead; the news shook him. At that moment it didn't matter how much the duo had tormented him, belittled him, or how much he had hated them. In that one singular instant he realized he was completely and utterly alone. He was the last of their kind. The last member of the galaxies' proudest warrior race. Most of all though it meant it was up to him to avenge his entire race.

He sat there quietly as the planet continued to swell beneath him. What little was left of his pride from over the years struggled against his mounting fear before suddenly being pulled from his stupor by his nephew, "What's that?" The boy shouted over the intercom.

Raditz immediately ceased the ships' collective motion and scanned the planet for a moment, halfway expecting a massive attack on it's way to destroy them both once and for all.

Almost immediately though his eyes gravitated to something a ways off of the surface, actually it was outside the atmosphere of the planet altogether. A small blue dot, not moving like a blast, just floating there. 'Wait a second, if I can see that from here then...'

His hand shot to his scouter and pressed to get a reading. The scouter exploded nearly instantly with the starting number showing over 20,000 and would've risen rapidly from there. The attack continued to grow before his very eyes even.

His mind began to race, pieces falling into place, there were only a handful of beings in the universe capable of such a feat. Certainly Vegeta and Nappa could not muster such an attack, at least they couldn't the last time he had seen them. This fact coupled with only 4 Ginyu pods streaking away could only mean 1 thing. Whatever Vegeta was seeking on this world was such a threat that a member of Frieza's elite shock troops was about to sacrifice himself to blow up the entire planet, to rid the universe of it.

'Just how close did Vegeta come to succeeding?' It was a nagging question, one that would likely never be answered as the small speck of energy continued its slow swelling in the distance.

"Do you know what it is?" Gohan asked again, though this time his voice came over the ships speakers due to Raditz broken scouter. "It looks like a big star to me." He said his voice full of childish wonder.

"I think we're about to see a planet die" was the only response the maned Saiyan gave as Both Uncle and nephew watched on mesmerized, waiting for a rare show. As Gohan tried to understand what Raditz has just said.

Frieza's eyes were burning, his hands desperately trying to make the agony stop; inside though his fury had been ignited to new, unbelievable levels, 'THOSE FOOLS THINK THEY CAN GET AWAY WITH THIS!' He shouted internally, as he cursed the inventor of the infernal trick the monkeys kept using against him.

Goku was desperately calling out for more power from the entirety of Namek, but more than that, he was calling on every living being in the entirety of Namek's solar system to lend him their collective power. The ball was growing but he knew it wouldn't be large enough by the time Frieza found him, 'Please anything you can spare!' He called out again hoping to increase the rate he was gathering.

It didn't take Piccolo long to piece together what Goku was doing, "Chi Chi quick use Kaioken and give me all the strength you can spare." Piccolo ordered catching the ox princess off-guard.

"What?" She started to protest.

"Goku needs time! The more energy I have the more time I can buy for him." He quickly explained.

Chi Chi got the message and quickly did as she was told, forcing herself as far as she could for a moment, a times ten. Piccolo then turned expectantly to Nappa.

"Hell no! If Kakarot needs time I'll give him time but I'll do it myself. I'm not giving you my energy." Nappa spat as if the thought itself was the nastiest thing to have ever crossed his mind.

"So be it, let's go." Piccolo responded before taking flight, prepared to ambush Frieza as soon as the Tyrant could see again, Nappa right behind him.

Finally he could open his eyes without agony, Frieza's head whipped around looking for whatever hole the coward had hidden himself in. "Come out now or I will destroy this world you filthy monkey!" He shouted, his head on a swivel. Suddenly he felt a pull on one of his feet, before he could react he was being pulled through the sky.

Just as his arm finished retracting, Piccolo landed the hardest punch he could manage, taking his Kaioken up to times three. It was actually enough to send, the still surprised, Frieza flying. He immediately unleashed a mouth beam which collided with the rapidly retreating Frost Demon at the same instant that his Saiyan adversary turned ally's own similar attack struck home.

Frieza crashed into the ocean sending waves in all directions.

"I think that got his attention." Nappa muttered, his voice betraying the actual fear he was feeling at the moment.

"Yes, I think he'll be giving us a slow death for that if Goku fails." Piccolo said, his attempt at grim humor actually even causing himself to feel slightly depressed at the likely future awaiting them both. As both watched the water, awaiting for their executioner to rise again.

Happy (slightly early) Thanksgiving everyone! I want to start off this authors note with a huge thank you to everyone who reviewed last chapter, you guys blew out the previous 1-chapter review record for this story, which was set last chapter, so major props on that. It really made my day hearing what everyone thought about the story :)

Before I go any further, I have a question for everyone, do you prefer these shorter chapters with faster updates, like I've been doing lately, or the older longer chapters but longer between updates style I've done for much of this story?

If there are any fans of DBZ/Rosario & Vampire crossovers reading this, my cousin gamerfreak102, who I worked on Vegeta the Academic with, recently started publishing a new story about a couple Saiyans starting at Yokai academy. In my opinion at least it is probably his best story yet.

Another random thought, not related to the story, if anyone is looking for a new show to watch, I highly recommend the World that only God knows. It is one of the best anime I have ever seen, I watched the whole second and third seasons in just 3 days, while simultaneously writing this chapter. Anyway just figured I'd throw that out there in case anyone was looking for a new series to watch.

In other news I'm not sure I will be able to get another chapter up before the end of finals, I have several large projects due in the next couple weeks on top of studying. I will try to get one up if possible though.

He might, he might not go ssj in this arc, I can guarantee you though when he goes Ssj it'll do the Saiyan Prince justice; more so than was given to him in the show. I hope you continue to enjoy the story as it goes on.

With the way I described how Kaioken works it would be extremely difficult to do a Kaioken. A Kaioken is, at least the way I think of it, opening more channels to your life force or Ki. There is a limit to how far you can push both you ki reserve and your body. Ssj on the other hand, in the BoD format seems to be an extra, larger well of energy deep within the Saiyan. Theoretically a Ssj should be able to use Kaioken and have the effects on there Ki reserve be about the same as using it in there base form. The difficultly comes in whether or not the body can take the massive stress of this. In all likelihood I think using Kaioken and Ssj together would be a very dangerous move.

To the final 'glitch' you found, I tried to answer that last chapter. Nappa was intimidated by the humans before he got his last zenkai, resulting from his neck being snapped by Frieza and being healed by Dende. so pre-neck snapping he was around 100,000, after the zenkai he was over 2 million.

Review: Hey great story I've loved it... more realistic in a sense than the anime...

Anyways I actually have an idea on how you could get Gohans power level up pretty fast... just do a combination Kaioken/gravity/Zenkai training... you know have him train Kaioken in a times earth gravity then have him take a senzu bean to heal his strained body... have him do this for a month... I would say he will be between 70,000 to 140,000... maybe even stronger... just an idea.

Response: I'm glad you are enjoying the story, I've been trying hard to avoid the major plot inconsistencies that show up in the show for sure, and where they are unavoidable I try to justify it to the point of not being inconsistent lol. As for Gohan, by the end of his mini-arc he'll be leagues stronger than he is now. Unfortunately I can't go into any more specifics than that otherwise I would ruin a couple of the biggest plot developments I have planed :) I hope you continue to enjoy the story as it progresses.

You...re-explained the Raditz thing way too much, they cut that shit out of TV shows and thing for a reason, to not annoy the audience having to re-read that as many times as I did these first few chapters .

Altough I really hope Vegeta doesn't become a Super Sayian, how he obtained it in the actual show was far better then if he was to get it here on Namek, neither the level of anger or hopelessness could be obtain believable at this point in time.

Response- Sorry about the Raditz re-explanation thing, I blame it on my relative novice at story writing at the time. I'm glad you kept reading, and managed to catch up, when i saw the first review I thought I might've lost you lol.

I didn't especially like killing Krillin off either, but you're right it was partially to make sure the divergence could continue, in addition I felt like after cutting off Nappa's tail the two Saiyans (who were in complete control of the fight at that point) wouldn't let him live for that 'crime'. Super Saiyan is coming soon so you'll have to wait for that.

We'll see on the Super Saiyan front in 2 chapters ;)

Review: ohhh man that was unexpected what happen to piccolo there now hes not balance with his soul hoppfully he'll change and become partly good but now we have a goku who so much stronger who can take the kai-ken to nearly times 20 we have a stronger piccolo a nappa who isn't to far behind him a soon recovering vegeta I think frieza going to find it pretty tuff at the moment with everyone around

Response: In regards to Piccolo's fusion, the way I see it the souls never fully combine, he might improve his ability over time but he'll always have more difficulty than other characters taking the Kaioken to higher levels. With 2 souls he might be able to get the difficulty of a times 3 down to that of a times 6 in time, but he'll have to have alot of practice.

As you can see, Frieza is taking more damage then he did in the show so far, already being forced to max power and all.

Review: Amazing, not sure if your adding humor or if it's just my mind who finds random moments hilarious.
Plans for Vegeta? Not sure where you're heading with that idea, but if I guessed...maybe Goku won't be the only saiyan fighting Frieza in the final battle, maybe I'm wrong. You're just unexpected with your ideas.
Can't wait for Gohan's mini arc!

Response: I've added a few humor spots throughout the last few chapters just to try and keep the story from becoming too serious, I'm glad you're enjoying them :).

Vegeta has a very important decision to make, one that could cause massive reverberations throughout the entire timeline no matter which choice he takes. I enjoy keeping everyone guessing a little bit, if it becomes too predictable what would be the point in reading. I expect the story to begin to be eveb less predictable at the conclusion of this arc, the real divergence begins.

Review: Awesome story man, this is really good! One question though, the last time we saw Gohan's power level it was 175 if I recall. Well if so, then how will he be able to fare up against Frieza and the others. That's just my question, but i'm loving the story. Keep them updates coming please!

Response: Thanks for the review, I'm glad you are enjoying the story. Yes Gohan and Raditz are several orders of magnitude between everything still alive on Namek, besides Cargo and Dende that is. If they land they will be in serious trouble.

Response: I'll keep that in consideration, Vegeta is my favorite character in DBZ so his role will definitely get more love then he did in the show, how that takes place I can't say yet, but I can say that he'll get his chance to shine and some well deserved revenge.
