Chapter 24: A Legend Is Born
"Vegeta look out!" Nappa shouted as he lunged forward, praying he would reach him in time.
In a fraction of a second, it was over and four bodies had hit the ground.
The joy of their supposed victory had ended barely a minute after it had begun.
Vegeta lay on his back with Nappa's massive body slumped over him. The Saiyan Prince could feel hot liquid spreading across his body and could smell burnt flesh. It was obvious whose it was.
Vegeta's eyes though weren't looking to his companions body. They were looking at Frieza. Somehow, the monster had survived. Defeat hung in the air as the severely battered Frost Demon limped forward. His entire charred body racked in agony.
Vegeta soon realized Frieza wasn't even looking in his direction, his limping was going towards where Kakarot had been.
Goku had slumped to the ground, Chi Chi in his arms, "G...G...Go...Goku..." Chi-Chi managed, blood dripping from her mouth every time she tried to speak.
"Chi-Chi I'm here, I'm here Chi-Chi, please stay with me." His voice was desperate, more desperate than it had ever been before. His wife, one of the two dearest in the universe to him was dying in his arms and there was nothing he could do for her. "Chi-Chi I'm here." He repeated again unsure of what else he could do or say.
"Go...Goku...fi...find...Go...Go...Go-h.a..n..." The last syllable took her remaining breath as her spirit departed for the afterlife.
Goku's entire body was trembling, 'I...I...failed...I failed again...I let her down...I let Chi-Chi down...I even got a second chance and I let her down! I failed her just like I failed Gohan! It's not fair! Chi-Chi!' "CHI-CHI!" He suddenly wailed unable to keep his rage inside any longer.
By now Vegeta had an idea of what had happened to Kakarot's mate. His mind worked on a way to escape, 'I was a fool to come here... I should've cut my loses when I had a chance.' He chastised himself before the voice of a dying man began to speak to him.
"Vegeta...did...you get...hit too?" Nappa asked, his voice weaker than any time Vegeta could recall.
"No...I..." Vegeta realized that the only reason he could think of escaping was because of Nappa's heroics, "No, you pushed me out of the way in time." He conceded, though he hated to admit he had been saved.
A soft smile appeared on the giants face, causing Vegeta to immediately regret conceding that point. The Saiyan general looked like a disgrace at the moment. "Good...I...was able to...keep my...promise..." Nappa managed to say blood streaming from his mouth.
Vegeta's eye raised slightly in curiosity but, before he could ask what he meant, Nappa continued with his dying words, "I...promised your...father that...I would protect you...from Frieza..."
Vegeta wasn't surprised by this. Nappa had been among his father's most loyal confidants. He couldn't help but inwardly note how miserably the general had failed at that task over the years.
What Nappa said next, the Saiyan Prince could've never expected. "I...also kept...my promise to...myself..." The general's eyes were glazing over at this point. His time in the world drawing to an end. "After...planet Vegeta was destroyed...I promised...myself I would...never let my son...die again..."
Vegeta didn't know what to make of Nappa's statement. He had known Nappa once had a family on world at the time of the planet's destruction, but his son had definitely perished in the blasts like the rest of their race. And what did he mean by "again", was this just the blabbering of a dying fool?
"Vegeta...I know...this may...sound weird...but you...you were like a...son to me...like the Saiyan...I always wanted...Omato to be..." A single tear running down Nappa's face, the hands he had seen several weeks ago were beginning to come from the ground once more, they came by the thousands, then millions, then billions are they began to wrap around his body, dragging his soul down to the underworld.
"I...Don't...want…to...see...you...join me...for...awhile...Vegeta...please...live...on…" Nappa said as the last breath finally left his body and he was dragged down through another dimension, 'Latice...Omato...I'm coming...'
Vegeta watched on as Nappa passed. A strange feeling in the pit of his stomach, one he hadn't felt in years. Part of his mind was disgusted, it tasted like weakness, but at the same time he couldn't stop it.
'Your battle's over. Go proudly General... you were a true Saiyan warrior.' He thought at the sight of his longtime companion. A feeling of actual loneliness came forth. For as much as Nappa was a hot headed fool, besides Vegeta, he was the last true Saiyan alive. And now he too had gone to whatever form of punishment awaited their kind in the afterlife.
Emotions that the Saiyan Prince had repressed for years began to bubble forth. He hated to admit it but at that moment it was as if he was losing, maybe not his father, but at least a father figure for the second time in his life. What was worse though, was it was Frieza who had robbed him of someone he considered his family twice. Everything he had ever lost had been because of Frieza. Rage ignited in his stomach. It wasn't fair, Frieza shouldn't be have the right to steal so much from him.
Frieza's voice was full of anger. All previous facades were gone, "Impressive...monkey that last attack...nearly killed me…I've never had a call quite that close…" Although he was angry, he gave credit where credit was due.
"I'm sorry for having to kill your mate. She seemed like such a wonderful person." Frieza said taking another step forward, swinging back to his usual sadistic personality, "Too bad you were too weak to save her."
Goku's entire body was shaking with rage. "You...you ruthless...heartless...monster!" Goku shouted, something within him beginning to crumble, as a stray lightning bolt hit the water behind him.
Vegeta, too had finally stood up. As he pushed his long time compatriots' body from on top of him, Frieza's eyes catching the movement and shifting his direction ever so slightly. Vegeta too was shaking with rage. Inside himself he could feel something, a dam of power begging to be unleashed, as he clawed at it desperate to bring down his fury on the bastard who had ruined so much in his life.
He could feel it starting to give way, something within him was about to crumble, 'Yes...Yes I just have to-'
A feral scream unlike anything Vegeta had heard before echoed across the battlefield, his inward struggle to break the last wall keeping him from the strength he so desperately desired was cut short.
He's eye's focusing back in to the outside world, as large chunks of the island began to levitate, lightning bolts raining all around them. The Saiyan Prince was left in awe at the sheer magnitude of the force flowing from Goku.
Neither he nor Frieza could move, shock overwhelming them both as Goku's hair flashed golden for a second, his screams of fury reaching a fever pitch. The pain from his shattered chest only fueling his anger, his rage.
Finally as his voice reached even louder levels a golden aura enveloped his entire being, the island began to completely break apart. Goku's eyes now glowed teal, his hair radiated golden energy the same as his aura; it was a sight unlike anything either of them had seen before.
Goku still trembled with fury as he took a step forward, 'You...YOU... MONSTER! I WILL MAKE YOU SUFFER!" Goku shouted before lunging forward faster than Vegeta could follow, his fist immediately embedding itself in Frieza's diaphragm.
Frieza staggered backwards agony shooting through his system unlike he had ever felt before from a simple punch, Frieza had been caught completely off guard.
"He...he...did it...he's a Super Saiyan..." There was no mistaking it. Realization dawned on Vegeta, as he desperately tried to retrace the steps back to the trance like state he had been in before. His destiny was being robbed from him right before his eyes. The lowly third class Saiyan, the younger brother of Raditz, the worst disgrace of a Saiyan he had ever met, had become a Super Saiyan before him.
'No! No! No!' He shouted in his mind, whatever trance like state he had found before was gone, the other's Saiyan's transformation had robbed him of his own destiny. Vegeta slumped to the ground, unable to comprehend how close he was to achieving his dream, his destiny, his revenge.
Goku's first blow was just the tip of the iceberg of his opening salvo. Before Frieza could even begin to catch his break, a tooth cracking uppercut hit him on the chin, sending the Tyrant airborne.
Frieza rocketed upwards, his head ringing too hard to even hope to slow his accent, but that was when Goku struck again, phasing behind him and delivering a vicious ax-handle, causing the Tyrant to have a painful meeting with the ground.
The initial wave of fury subsiding for the moment. Goku landed near Vegeta, just barely able to control himself, "Vegeta, I need you to do me a favor." Although Goku was asking, there was no doubt in Vegeta's mind that he was being ordered at the moment. He was in no position to refuse though, so Goku continued. "Please, take Piccolo to my ship, he's still alive, but barely. Cargo should be there and he can heal you both. Please take my wife's body there as well, also find my friend Bulma, she is the only other person alive on the planet right now. She can fly the ship for you, just get them and yourself off planet." He explained, not wanting to right out say Vegeta would be getting in the way, but it was certainly implied.
The unspoken slight stung Vegeta but he nodded before walking over and picking the Namekian up, and for the first time in years he willingly bit back his pride, "Kakarot, avenge our people." before picking up Chi Chi's body as well.
"Are you going to take Nappa's body too?" Goku asked surprised that it seemed as if the Saiyan Prince would not be.
"You really are clueless about our people. Shame that you're the one to achieve the legend." Vegeta responded, his pride only willing to drop so far, "Nappa was a Saiyan warrior. His body belongs on the battlefield." With that the Saiyan Prince took to the air, a mixture of envy, awe and anger, keeping his exhausted body going.
"No you don't!" Frieza burst from his rocky tomb his finger extended towards Vegeta; before he could even finish aiming though, his eyes bulged from his head as Goku's fist again embedded itself deep within the terror of the galaxy.
"No more Frieza." Goku snarled, "You will kill no one else!" He shouted going on the offensive again.
This time Frieza was prepared for the kind of force the Saiyan could pack and was able to block most of the incoming attacks. Each collision between the titans sent shock waves capable of destroying entire islands as they traded blow after blow.
Gohan's eyes had been shut for several minutes now. Even when they were shut there seemed to be a constant multicolored glow everywhere from the intensity of the light that had assaulted him in that brief second before his reaction.
Raditz, whose pod was pointed away from the planet at the time as he attempted to lead them into a safer orbit, was unaffected by the blinding inferno of energy that exploded outwards when the Spirit bomb finally detonated.
He couldn't believe what his radar system was telling him though, somehow the planet had survived; survived an attack that seemed powerful enough to destroy a thousand worlds with ease. 'Is...Is it actually possible that there was someone on the planet capable of stopping such an attack...?' The implications sent chills down his spine, whatever sort of monstrosities were facing off on the planet below he wanted no part of them.
"Brat, just a heads up, we're leaving shortly. There is no way Vegeta and Nappa are alive down there. Whatever is there would kill us without even having to lift a finger. I think I have a plan that'll at least keep us alive for a while." He stated as he began to enter coordinates into the ships computer.
"But what if Vegeta and Mr. Nappa are alive down there?" Gohan asked.
"They're not, especially if they were near that explosion; if by some miracle they still are and can somehow escape that cursed planet, then they'll know how to find us, we're using one of Vegeta's plans after all." He responded just to get the child to shut up. He had heard legends of such fights before, never once did the legends mention survivors on the worlds unlucky enough to fall victims to the battles between titans.
Gohan was silent before finally opening his eyes. There were still splotches everywhere he looked but he could make out some things. The most notable was that the planet was in fact still there, it just had one, new, massive crater on it.
He slumped his head back onto his chair, fear mixed with curiosity as he thought of just what was happening down on the surface. Occasionally he would see a bright flash around the crater. Were they explosions or something else, lightning maybe? He didn't know the answer to the question nagging at the back of his mind. All he knew was he was never going to find out. His uncle had just said as much, his future was looking more and more uncertain as any sense of structure that entered his life vanished.
Finally, he was pulled from his thoughts by his uncle's voice again, "Brat, I got the coordinates set and am going under now. When you get bored watching space just press the orange button on your chair arm. We'll only be out a few days this time." Gohan couldn't help but notice his tone somewhat softer than it had been before, and he was actually giving the child a choice on whether he wanted to go to sleep. Things were starting to get weird for the child but at the moment he wasn't so sure it was a bad thing anymore. He was sort of happy he was being treated at least a little bit like an adult.
He couldn't help but smile at himself a little bit as he watched the planet slowly retreating, yes the world he had just finished resigning himself to the last time he was awake seemed to be gone already, but he wouldn't really miss it. That was the world that had robbed him of his family, Vegeta at the very least appeared to have gotten what he deserved. Maybe Frieza would as well.
Now even though he was still stuck with his uncle, maybe just maybe he could find some sort of happiness again. At the same time, something deep within him told him it wouldn't be the same as it was before no matter where he went. He had learned a hard truth from Vegeta, one he could never forget. "I will be stronger." He muttered to himself one last time as the planet faded out to nothing more than another small speck on the sky.
Chi Chi's last memories of the living world were in her husband's arms but the ending was not the kind she wanted. There was still the issue of her son being missing and that was not something she would take laying down. Dead or not, she wasn't going to let anything in the world, or otherworld for that matter, stand in her way. That was why by the time she had entered the office of the large Ogre who seemed to be in charge of the place, she already had a plan ready to go.
"Next!" He called as she was ushered into the room, the Red deity was busy reading her file, "Well this seems like an open and close case. Wait a minute, are you that Goku's wife?" He asked surprised by what he read. Although he ushered billions through his doors every day, that Saiyan from Earth had certainly stood out as among the oddest he had experienced in recent memory.
"Yes, Goku is my husband." She answered, slightly thrown off. She had assumed the being before her was the one in charge but could he really be in charge if he was surprised by such an obvious piece of information. "Are you in charge here?" She blurted out.
It was now King Yemma's turn to be surprised, he rarely was met with such forward questions, at least by those he deemed 'good'. "Why yes I am." He boasted proudly, "I am the great King Yemma." He declared.
Chi Chi could care less for his title, she just wanted information, "Do you know where my son is?" Her voice barely above pleading.
"Oh yes, your son. I think I remember Goku asking about him too. Unfortunately, I know very little about anything outside this office, at least until the files are put before me. I am sorry about your lost son." King Yemma said politely, "On the plus side though, you are approved to go to heaven, and you get to keep your otherworld body. I figure if you are Goku's wife you'd likely want to go to King Kai's like the other's I've met recently who knew him." He explained, hoping to cheer the upset mother up some.
"Do you know where I can find Gohan's file?" She asked completely ignoring his attempts to comfort her.
"I am sorry, but that is not information I can give under any circumstances. Please, I need to get back to my job." King Yemma said politely noticing the line beginning to back up worse than usual.
Chi Chi stood there, her mind trying to think of a strategy to get the seemingly unattainable information from the ogre but ultimately gave up on it at the moment. With a bow she allowed herself to be lead to the path that would take her to the world of the mysterious being King Kai, 'Maybe I can get him to talk.' She thought to herself as she took off down the path at mind numbing speeds.
Frieza's body was battered and bruised by the time Goku's seemingly endless assault finally ended. Both fighters were panting slightly from the exertion, it was not as if Frieza was completely defenseless in the struggle. He had gotten a few shots in of his own but the numbers game was definitely slanted in the Saiyan's advantage again.
'How is this possible? I'm at 100%. He should be nothing compared to me!' He shouted in his head, as he began to fire death beams at Goku, probing his defenses. On the third one, that Goku seemingly effortlessly deflected away, Frieza saw his opening and moved to strike, unleashing a flurry of attacks before vanishing.
Goku had no trouble dealing with the attacks. There was only so much energy his adversary could charge into such small attacks, and for fighters of their level; it was nothing but pocket change. What was troubling to him though was the fact Frieza was still so fast, nearly as fast as he was. A fact that reared its ugly head as he took a powerful kick from his side.
Goku skidded backwards, his injured rib cage shooting white hot agony through him, but at the moment it was fueling him in a way, his arms latching onto Frieza's legs, as he quickly began to spin around, faster and faster, before launching the terror of the galaxy upwards into the sky.
He wasted no time following up either as he phased in front of Frieza just as the Tyrant brought himself to a stop, their legendary battle resuming instantly.
At Chi Chi's current level of strength the endless path that Snake way was supposed to represent was not much of a challenge. She was already over halfway across it seemed, shooting across the skies of otherworld.
It would only be a matter of minutes until she reached the others' power levels, she was sure of it. At least she thought she would, something beneath her caught her eye, and she immediately dropped to give it a closer look.
Princess Snake floated on the clouds, near where her house had been. Her body tied in a knot for months on end. 'This is demeaning, I can't even move freely anymore.' She mumbled to herself, disappointed she couldn't take the form she used to trap her victims either.
Suddenly, prey materialized right in front of her, "What in the world is this." Chi Chi mumbled at what to her appeared to by a giant floating knot in the sky. "I wonder if I can untie this?" She muttered to herself as she grasped onto Princess Snake's tail, her head had plunged below the clouds to try and ambush the prey, but what was happening instead would be even better, she could be herself again if this small woman succeeded.
In no time flat Chi Chi had the knot out, slightly surprised by the odd texture of the rope, her mind already working on a devious plan.
'Now!' Princess snake shouted in her mind as she burst forth, startling Chi Chi, who immediately proceeded to punch the giant snake right between the eyes.
Princess Snake was unconscious instantly, "Well that was unexpected…" Chi Chi muttered to herself as she picked up her massive, living rope. "It'll have to do, don't worry Gohan mommy's coming!" She shouted, igniting her kaioken and b-ling straight back to King Yemma's office.
Goku and Frieza snarled at one another, their hands locked together, trying desperately to push the other fighter back, both fore-heads bruised by their occasional head-butting.
Frieza tried again to gain the upper hand, assuming his head could take more of a beating than the not-so-pitiful monkey before him. Goku was waiting this time, as he pulled Frieza backwards, and his head right into his just extending knee.
Frieza was seeing stars. His eyes refused to focus as Goku began to pummel him again, not giving him a chance to recover. Goku's more light-hearted for the sport of it fighting style was vanishing beneath the still unrelenting fury, his attacks, more and more were aimed at inflicting maximum damage instead of just disabling his opponent like usual. He didn't like this shift in himself, but he couldn't stop it, Frieza deserved every ounce of pain he could inflict on him, he killed Chi Chi, Goku could never forgive that action.
Finally, Frieza had enough, not even bothering to block anymore, he gathered up all the strength he could muster and unleashed it in all directions, actually pushing Goku backwards in the blast.
"Enough!" Frieza shouted as he launched as he channeled all of the strength billowing around him into his hands, "Let's see how long you can survive in space! I doubt you will find it as effortless as I do! So long Saiyan!" Frieza shouted firing a large red blast into the ground.
"Oh No!" Goku shouted reacting to slow, the blast penetrated the planet's surface before he could even half the distance to it.
Vegeta had simply beelined for the closest power level, hoping it would be the Namekian child, if he could get healed then he could get back in the fight, and maybe achieve his destiny.
He was disappointed though when he came to a cave instead, 'Damn it, it must be the woman Kakarot mentioned, as much as he wanted to get healed, he might as well get the tasks done, it would be nice to have a way off of the rock prepared after all.
He hurried inside, to find a house set up, he didn't bother knocking, he simply kicked open the door instead.
Bulma was shocked, she recognized the Saiyan warrior almost instantly and the apparent bodies of both Chi Chi and Piccolo slung over his shoulders. "Woman we're leaving get moving." He ordered her, "Kakarot wants everyone off planet."
Bulma's mind which had gone from genius to super genius a few weeks back had been working desperately on some sort of defense, or way to escape, it almost didn't notice the name Vegeta had just used. "Kakarot? That's the name Goku's brother called him isn't it?" She asked unable to keep the question in her head.
'Great, another idiot...' "Forget it I'll figure out how to fly the ship myself." He mumbled turning to leave.
"Wait! Here, I'm coming! Don't leave me!" She shouted as she chased after him, collapsing her house into its capsule.
Bulma suddenly realized something, "Are...are...they alive?" She was afraid to know the answer as she looked at the bodies.
"He is, she isn't." Vegeta answered, "Better grab on I've wasted enough time on this errand."
"Grab on?" Bulma was confused.
"My hands are full." Vegeta responded irritated, "Unless you want to carry one of them."
Bulma didn't need to be told twice and wrapped her arms around him, with that they were off, flying through the sky again. Vegeta's strength was returning to him somewhat, allowing him to go faster, as Bulma hung on for dear life. Both blushing slightly.
Suddenly, the entire planet began to shake violently, Vegeta's previous distraction vanished, "Damn it what are they trying to do destroy the planet!" He shouted, bringing forth all of his remaining strength as he blasted off towards the only other small power level he could sense.
Using Kaioken Chi Chi made even better time blasting back to King Yemma's office, luckily since the doors were designed for the Ogre to get through, she was able to bring her snake-rope with her.
Faster than the surprised King Yemma could react, he was suddenly bound to his chair, tied up nice and tight with Princess Snake.
"Princess Snake? What is the meaning of this! I told you two-centuries ago I wasn't interested! Take a hint already!" He shouted angrily as he struggled against her surprisingly durable body, trying to break free before she could begin her constriction.
"Oh so the snake did have a name. That's unimportant though." Chi Chi said landing on the Ogre's shoulder, "You are going to tell me where my son is this instant." She demanded.
"Chi Chi!" King Yemma shouted incredulously, nothing in her file indicated she would take such extreme action. "Untie me immediately! Do you realize how many rules you've broken! You could be sent to hell for this!" He threatened.
"You're in no position to make demands. I sensed your power level when I arrived and I am more than a match for you." She said confidently, "Now then, tell me where I can find my son's file and we can call this a day." She ordered.
"I can't! It would violate the sacred laws that other world was founded on to read someone's file before they died!" He shouted.
Chi Chi had had enough, with a quick chop to his neck the giant was rendered unconscious.
Turning to the panicked workers she repeated her demand, "Alright everyone, this building is under new management, we're finding my son!"
Hey everybody, I'm back already! As a special thank you to everyone who helped me reach my goal of getting 100 reviews before the 1 year anniversary of culture shock, almost 10 days early even, I sucked it up and got the chapter done as soon as my last final was complete. So this is for you all, I hope you enjoyed it.
Now for the chapter in question, I hope I didn't ruin the story with that twist I had there, I knew from the minute I started this arc that this chapter was probably going to be the one that would surprise the most people, but to get the story where I've planned it going this chapter was necessary.
A special thanks to gamerfreak102 and MrCamtastic for their work editing the chapter.
Just a quick power levels chart this time, I'm sure people are curious.
Goku - 5,000,000
Goku (injured) - not much at all
Goku (injured, ssj) - 90,000,000
Frieza (max, injured) - you'll just have to wait and see next chapter
I'm sure people are wondering why Goku is only at 90,000,000, the reason it is so low compared to the normal ssj transformation is his body is wrecked. He can't bring the full force of his transformation to bare right now. If he was in perfect shape he'd be 152,000,000, easily able to crush Frieza whose maximum I placed at around 120,000,000.
One other side note about Chi Chi being able to tie up Yemma, I'm sure some of you are wondering if it is so easy why didn't the likes of Frieza, Cell, etc just blast him and be done with it. The way I see it is, you wouldn't have access to your ki in Yemma's office until you were placed in Heaven, anything else would be a major security risk to all of other world.
I think that covered all of my comments for this chapter, now all that's left is the reviews.

RKF22-
Can't wait for Raditz and Gohan to have their vengeance keep up the great work
Glad your enjoying the story, they have a few people they would love to have vengeance against so we'll have to see who they manage to get.
wheathermangohanssj4-
If it isn't Goku then I hope it's Nappa that's the one that's still standing and about to go Super Sayian, there have been enough suggestions to this, at least in the author notes with the minimum you decided upon being Nappa's current power level, and I feel Vegeta getting it first just isn't right, I have nothing against Vegeta as a character but it's always been my opinion that Characters like him should never just suddenly get new abilities that let them win, That's something for Hero's not Anti-hero's.
And while Nappa still would have that issue, I feel it would be lessened by what he was gone trough through the course of this story, while Vegeta is still just who he was in cannon.
Yeah Vegeta was close to achieving it at the very least at the same time as Goku, there were probably a dozen ways for me to have made it so he would've been first, the issue would've been it wouldn't have meshed with the ideas I have for the later arcs. You're right though, up until this point Vegeta is who he was in canon, now though he can evolve a bit. I hope you enjoyed how the ssj transformation ended up unfolding.
Lawrence Helmbain-
Great chapter... loved how you gave him the thought of absorbing the Spirit Bomb not many do that... xD you could have Gohan fuse with his future self... like say have M-Gohan sense Cell when hes about to use the time machine and teleports to him and ends up going to the past where he ends up in other world... trains a lot... catches the Supreme Kais attention... pulls out the sword... breaks it... has his full power unlocked by Elder Kai... becomes Mystic-M-Gohan and askes to fuse with his past self when he learns how weak he is... just an idea... idk why no ones thought of it before...
Yeah the spirit bomb absorbing is similar to how Master Roshi was finally able to beat Nappa, he had essentially absorbed the spirit bomb, used it to make it so he could move fast enough to get into range and then released it all in one go on him. As for the future arc, i think everyone will be surprised by where i'm planning on taking it. It's an interesting idea you have though, i'll keep it in mind. Hope you enjoyed the twist I added this chapter.

Exciting story! Keep up the good work! Good luck in reaching your review goal! (and good luck for your finals!)
Glad you are enjoying the story, and thank you for your help reaching the goal :). And thanks for the good luck on the finals, I think they were a bit of a mixed bag.

Whoa, the legendary appears finally
I think it is goku, after all chi chi might have died so well
Finally gohan gets to meet his dad again under not so good circumstances though and raditz will see what has become of his weakling brother
Also the theory u gave is good, moreover kaioken is straining on the user too, more so than ssj so yeah ssj is better in longer fights
Update soon
Yes the legend has appeared, giving Frieza reason to fear. Unfortunately Gohan and his parents aren't destined to meet again yet, he hasn't become the character my later ideas demand yet. Glad you liked my ssj vs kaioken explanation, that was the only thing I could think of that made sense to me. Anyway I hope you enjoyed this latest chapter. (and congrats on being the 100th reviewer :))
Chi-Chi's FAN-
Amazing! I say that a lot don't I? Well its true so I'll keep saying (or typing) it! I actually flinched when Frieza ripped Piccolo's arms off, now that's talent! Err you detailing it not Frieza. Yes I liking the suspense, it just makes everything much more exciting, (no matter what anyone says).
So out of everyone whose a saiyan, only one will transform? I'm doubting Raditz and Gohan (neither sound ready), so its either Goku, Vegeta, or Nappa. Unless you have something else planned, again, which you might.
It's ok if you keep repeating it lol, that just means I'm doing a good job I think. Yeah the Piccolo losing his arms was a pretty gruelsome part, I figure that Frieza would argue that he is pretty talented by ripping Piccolo's arms off :). Yes only 1 Saiyan ended up achieving it here, though we almost got 2 this time lol.
Random-
Gohan saw a golden light super sayain! The ending almost made it seem like nappa but my guess is its gonna be Vegeta cuz after everything I feel like frieza would make goku the first to go
Actually the ssj transformation hadn't happened as of the end of the last chapter, the light that blinded him was the detonation of the spirit bomb. If Frieza wasn't supremely confident in his abilities he probably would've, but his sadistic side reared it's ugly head again, making his fight a lot more difficult.
Alright I think that is everything, I hope everyone enjoyed the chapter, and hopefully I will get another one up fairly soon, not sure if I can keep a 6 day turn around going very often though. Till next time everyone, hope you have a great weekend, if you're like me a great start to christmas break!
