The climb up to the window had been awful, relying on the rope Parker had retrieved from the car, along with a few other "items of interest that may or may not be needed," which she decided was best not to ask for details on. He had then secured them to both drain pipe and wall. It hadn't taken him long at all to do, which was probably what had left her with images of the piping falling away from the wall, but he had promised her she'd be okay, and she had been. Until they broke the window and she looked at the climb down on the other side, it was the same distance as the climb up, but something in the back of her mind reminded her that all there was between her and a grisly ending was a rather weak feeling length of rope. Her concern grew as she made the mistake of looking to her left and along the wall, eyes resting on a large gun turret of some kind. Looking past that revealed another and soon enough she'd counted several. She swallowed hard, pushing that from her mind for the moment.

'Focus on not falling, then those.'

He had gone first, again securing the rope to the wall with what seemed like a pocket nail gun to her and again she decided it was best not to ask. Once he hit the floor, she followed slowly, that same little voice pointing out every conceivable problem.

As soon as her feet hit the floor, before she could reveal in the fact she hadn't fallen an odd twenty or more foot, there was a deep and angry rumble.

'What do you think you're doing?' the voice spat, sharp and furious, and Penny had to admit it stirred a deep fear within her. The same fear that she hadn't felt since a child when her father had caught her doing something wrong and she knew the impending punishment would be very, very bad. Parker turned first, taking a step to place himself between her and the source before she slowly turned to lay eyes upon the "woman" behind it all.

If looks alone could kill, Parker and herself would have been little more than dust right then. 'You are ruining the game, you're not meant to be on the board yet,' she growled, crossing her arms and pulling the flowing cloak up a little. 'But fine. Never let it be said I couldn't change the rules.' The woman disintegrated, pixels falling in on themselves to bounce off of the floor and scatter.

She carefully looked to the guns, stomach turning as she realised one too many seemed focused on them. She quite honestly had no idea what was going on, and so distracted in the confusion and unease, it took a solid few seconds for Gordon screaming her name to register.

He ran, flat out sprinting to her, and she smiled, a sudden wave of relief hitting her solidly in the chest, heart skipping a beat. She turned to him, letting him sweep her off her feet as he clung tight, almost crushing her in his arms as he burrowed his face against her, mumbling into the material whilst tears pricked at her eyes. Part of her had been so sure he'd be dead or he'd have…

She pulled back, prying herself loose from his grip. She didn't want to ask, she didn't want to know the answer, because as much as she hated to acknowledge it, she didn't know for sure what he'd say.

'What did you do to John?'

'What?' He frowned, something between hurt at the accusation and annoyance. Instead of answering straight away he took her hand and turned to lead her away.

'Nothing, when I got in here he was already hurt. Well, shot. Naunet did it, I think.' There was a pause as he led her to said brother, and she rushed forward, bare knees hitting the cold concreate floor hard as she took him in. 'I didn't touch him,' he pleaded for her to believe him. Parker came and dropped the bag next to John before looking him over, commenting quietly to himself as he moved to patch the man up as best he could.

Well, Penny assumed that was what he was doing, hoped. She was a confident and capable woman, she prided herself on it, but this… She jumped a little as Gordon set a hand on her shoulder and crouched down next to her. She turned from John, pushed his too pale form from her mind.

'We need to blow this place sky high,' he stated, and before she could ask why—not that she didn't agree, everything had led them here, this was the end of the trail, and so she supposed it made sense that it would all end in flames, she'd just like the details—Parker spoke up.

'We need to get Master John to a hospital soon.' He turned to his bag and pulled out a small box, handing it to the pair. 'This might help with the blowing things up bit. Magnesium ribbon, just add fire or water from a distance and you'll have your explosions. Not sky high, but enough.'

She could have asked several questions about this, at the very least why he had them, but instead she added it to the already impressive list of things she didn't want to know right now. Instead she thanked him and turned to follow Gordon into the maze of towers.
