Chapter 30: Giant Fight

Vegeta and Nappa's training had been cut short, they had felt the arrival of the new power levels and at first had thought nothing of it, they were weak enough that one of the human fighters could take the whole lot themselves. Now though, now their interests were very much peaked. First the largest of the new power levels had doubled in size, before suddenly shooting upwards, stronger than either of the Saiyans or the Namekian warrior.

"Well then maybe today will be productive after all." Vegeta said to himself, a look of anticipation appearing on his face. He could finally have a real test to see if he could achieve the legend.

"How'd they fuck it up, I mean they never let us steal the Dragon Balls." Nappa grumbled, though he had to admit he was just as excited as Vegeta at the prospect of fighting a strong opponent again in a real fight.

Immediately both fighters took off towards the city ready for their chance to shine, hopefully in more ways than one.

Tien floated in the air just behind Chi Chi, horrified by what he was feeling, it was as if the Namekian who had been standing in front of him a moment ago had somehow transformed into Frieza himself.

The other fighters came to a halt a short distance back, not believing the power the felt rolling out of the red sphere.

Finally the light faded, standing before them was a stout Namekian a look of triumph on his face. "I can't thank you enough for going to the effort of summoning Porunga for me." His sneer caused Chi Chi to see red. He taunted as his now completely obsolete followers snickered in the background.

"Since you've allowed me to become the most powerful being in the universe, who wants the honor of helping me test out my new found might?" He added before taunting the collective group.

Chi Chi was the first to react, she channeled her rage at losing her chance to bring her son back for a whole four months into her strength immediately. Not only that but she powered up to her full power and rushed forward, stronger than she had ever been before, stronger even than Goku the first time he used the times 20 Kaioken.

Slug watched her come at her movements in slow motion as he raised an arm to block the first Earth shattering blow. The suburb beneath them shattered from the shock waves generated by the collision, but at that moment Chi Chi couldn't care less, she only wanted one thing revenge. Her assault was like a wild animal as she just continued to rain down blows as fast as her arms could move, trying desperately to break through the thieves defenses.

"Some of you get down there and start evacuating as many citizens as you can, this is about to get messy. Anyone who thinks they can take a hit from this guy with me." Tien said to the group as they split. Master Roshi rounded up his 15 students there and immediately went to work evacuating

The stronger fighters, including Krillin, Yamcha, Nam, King Chappa, Bora and the members of the Blue force rushed forward.

The three-eyed warrior charged up his own times 20 aura and rushed in trying to catch the green villain by surprise. He was able to easily outpace the other fighters. Moving faster than the newcomer's varied alien supporters could follow Tien phased behind him, his arm cocked back ready to strike.

Just as he was about to connect though Slug was revealed to be nothing more than an after image, Chi Chi was in front of him in an instant, her leg lashing out in an attempt to land a blow against the Green demon. Her leg connect with Tien's side just as his fist collided with her face. Chi Chi's blow sent him flying while his own attack only further irritated the super-powered Amazonian warrior.

"Stay out of my way!" She shouted, stopping the still approaching second band of warriors in their tracks, before launching after Slug once more. This time she had two massive blasts charged up, unleashing both at point blank rage.

A massive explosion shook the landscape for miles. Chi Chi stood on guard waiting for the inevitable response. Her efforts were proven worthless a moment later as a deep chuckle sounded from the smoke. "Wow you might even have hurt Base with an attack like that. But you see I am much more powerful than any of the other Super Namekians ever were." Lord Slug explained as the last of the smoke faded away revealing him completely unscathed.

Chi Chi was too stunned to even move, she had expected him to survive her attack, but she figured he'd at least show some signs of damage.

Slug continued his speech, "You see, I am exactly twice as strong as any Namekian to have ever lived, that was the wish you tried interrupted with your pitiful bull rush against me earlier. Finally I Lord Slug am the most powerful being to have ever lived. Let me show you the true depths of my power!" He shouted as his dark aura began to expand around him.

Chi Chi let out a growl, for all of this guy's talk he still didn't hold a candle to Goku or Frieza during the later stages of their fight. He was still far and away the third strongest fighter she had ever encountered though.

In his mind Slug was marveling over his new strength, 'I can't believe the others had been on this level, this is amazing. Those fools if they hadn't have been messing around only showing off a fraction of their power we would've never been banished.' Slug thought. Completely overestimating his previous compatriots.

After he finished his power up he let out a deep breath, before looking at his hands, which he then formed into a fist a few times. His eyes peering back to Chi Chi who finally pulling herself from her stunned state and snarled as she reformed her aura. She never got the chance to launch forward again like she had before though. Faster than she could follow Slug appeared in front of her.

Her eyes were just widening in realization when his hand collided with her face in a vicious downward chop.

She dropped like a rock, her eyes already white as consciousness left her in an instant.

"Chi Chi!" Tien called as he was just recovering from the act of friendly fire that had derailed his attack. Immediately he formed his hands in a triangular shape intending on firing his most powerful attack.

Lord's Slugs eyes locked onto the human warrior a few hundred meters down and to his left, deciding on his next target.

Tri-Be-" Tien had started to yell before Slug's knee embedded itself in his abdomen. '

Tien gagged, his entire body convulsed in pain as the Namekian warrior's knee threated to break right through him. His body going limp a second later before dropping to the ground like Chi Chi had.

"Destructo disk." Krillin said quietly before launching his finishing attack.

Lord Slug's head turned just in time, thanks to his super powered hearing, to take in the danger and phase from the path of the attack.

"Boo!" Slug said as he appeared before the bald monk standing in the middle of the remaining human fighters.

Krillin's eyes widened in terror, his mouth open wide in shock as his body froze.

Slug took in the sight with a smirk, as his fist lashed out, stopping just short of the short fighters face. The massive air pressure attack his fist had caused did his work for him though as Krillin couldn't even raise his Kaioken in time to defend himself.

The now limp monk went shooting away off into the distance.

None of the human fighters could move. How could they fight a creature like this? Yamcha didn't even have the heart to try his desperation attack he had used against Frieza, this monster was stronger than Frieza had been when he had fought him.

"What don't want to play?" Slug's voice was filled with a mock disappointment. "What a shame." His arms lashed out in both directions and he unleashed a massive shock wave scattering the senseless fighters in all directions. Their bodies colliding with buildings in a roughly circular pattern.

"King Kai what happened!" Goku shouted his voice full of worry.

"It's terrible! There is a Namekian warrior there, he stole the last two wishes and now he's taken out Tien, Chi Chi and the others." King Kai explained, sweat building on his brow.

"What? Is Piccolo or Vegeta there? Can't they stop them" Goku asked beginning to regret not letting Chi Chi wish him back.

"Vegeta and Nappa are on their way, Piccolo appears to be ignoring him so far." King Kai explained. "I'm not sure if they're strong enough to fight him though."

"He's that strong huh. Ok keep me informed. If I can master Instant Transmission I can get there and help." Goku decided, he had to get there to help.

"Well now, what should I do next?" He said with a chuckle to himself, his possibilities seemed truly endless at the moment.

His smirk fell to a frown as he remembered something long overdue. His phased into the center of the group of frightened Namekians gathered in the Capsule court yard.

"Hello brothers." Slug's extended the sarcastic greeting. The entire group gasped and backup up stunned at his appearance. "Tell me where the ever beloved Guru is, I wish to speak to your coward of a leader."

Several of the Namekian warriors growled at the characterization of their collective father. But none acted as Elder Tsuno waved his arm to his side as a silent order to stay away.

"Elder please-" One warrior pleaded a sense of foreboding telling him this wouldn't end well but Tsuno also silenced him with a stern glare.

He then bravely stepped forward, "I'm sorry but our father has recently passed on. If you wish to speak with the one in charge here you're looking at him." He bravely proclaimed, knowing the reaction it would likely lead to.

"Well then, that is truly regrettable news." Lord Slug's voice actually showed remorse at the realization surprising the Namekians gathered. "I was hoping to get the chance to kill him myself." Slug followed up a moment later. Finally causing a Namekian warrior to rush forward tired for listen to the monster before him insult the savior of their race.

He was rewarded for his act of honor with a blow that sent his head spinning a full 360 degrees around his neck, dropping him dead in an instant.

"Well I guess killing the fool's children will just have to do." Slug's malicious smile left no doubt he intended to follow up on his proclamation. As his hand immediately lashed out firing a blast right at Elder Tsuno, vaporizing him in an instant.

Terror and anger mixed within the Namekian crowd at watching the death of two of their brothers. "Who's next?" Slug confidently asked.

"How about you?" A voice called out from behind the Namekian warrior as two sets of feet touched down.

Slug turned around slightly amused that someone still had any bravado left after his performances thus far. "And just who might you be?" Slug asked sizing up the short man with spiky hair and the bald giant standing slightly behind him.

"Me?" Vegeta smirked, "I and Vegeta, the Prince of all Saiyans. But you can just call me your executioner." Vegeta announced his blood already pounding in his ears as he prepared for battle. He had felt the full force of the Namekians power it seemed like it was the perfect opportunity to achieve his destiny, to become a Super Saiyan.

"Well those are some big claims coming from such a small man. Especially a slave of that weakling Frieza" Slug taunted, crossing his arms in contempt. He had heard of the Saiyans and he chalked up his boasting to the Saiyan Prince's infamous pride.

Vegeta let out a growl "I'm no one's slave slug-man.", before powering up, the ground around him began to shake as the full might of the Saiyan Prince was brought to bear.

Slug's confident sneer never wavered though, the warrior was certainly more impressive than he had anticipated. It actually seemed reasonable that the rumors of Frieza being killed by a Saiyan were actually true. It made no difference though, he gauged the warrior before him to be on par with the woman who had attacked him initially.

Vegeta launched forward seemingly on a straight line for the Namekian warrior, firing off a blast at a distance of about 5 feet, and phasing out. Slug didn't bother to uncross his arms until the very last second deflecting the insultingly weak attack into the sky, before whipping around and catching Vegeta's extended leg as the Saiyan appeared behind him.

"You're going to-" The rest of Slug's comment was cut off as Vegeta launched a blast immediately into Slug's face stunning the Namekian warrior for an instant as a large fist slammed into the back of his head sending him flying.

Vegeta took the instant he needed to flip away before sending a bone chilling glare Nappa's direction. "I told you to stay back." Vegeta snarled.

"Sorry Vegeta, I want to get in on this action too." Nappa lied, he knew Vegeta was no match for this monster by himself but he wouldn't insult the Prince's pride by claiming he needed help.

Vegeta fists tightened as he understood exactly what Nappa was trying to do, "Stay out of this you oaf or I will gut you myself!" Vegeta yelled before shooting back at the now recovered Lord Slug, who was chuckling at their exchange. 'Maybe this will be fun after all.' He thought to himself, as he imagined taking both impressive fighters at once.

He waited until Vegeta was just about to him, and caught the Saiyan Prince's fist in his hand before delivering a powerful punch to Vegeta's cheek sending him flying.

He immediately phased in front of Nappa, "Looks like I owe you one." He said a blast already forming between his now extended hand and Nappa's abdomen.

Before the Saiyan General could react he had released the spherical attack causing the Saiyan General to rocket away trapped on against the ever accelerating blast.

He turned again just in time to parry one of Vegeta's attacks. Vegeta immediately turned his momentum into a follow up spinning kick, which was easily blocked by Slug's forearm.

Vegeta let out a growl of frustration, this was proving more difficult than expected.

With Vegeta off balance Slug took the opportunity to gasp the Saiyan warrior's leg and in one fluid motion hoisted the Saiyan over his head and slammed him into the ground, then again, before launching him through a nearby building with a sideways throw.

Nappa had since recovered and was launching in full speed his arm cocked back for a powerful swing at his still turned adversary.

His attack didn't go as intended though as right at the perfect instant Slug turned around, his elbow colliding with Nappa's head and launching the Saiyan General off to his right, straight through an entire shopping district.

Vegeta was back on him in an instant unleashing everything he had in the form of a complex array of punches, jabs, chops, and kicks. Slug though blocked it all effortlessly. "Come on is this the best you can do? What happened to being my executioner?"

Across the planet Piccolo, now recombined into one being again, continued to meditate. Though it was something proving more and more difficult by the moment. He had initially believed he would be able to let the human warriors handle things easily after the first wish. Even after the second wish he felt he could let the two Saiyan warriors handle the new threat. But that was proving to be an error in judgment on his behalf resulting from his reexamination of all of his thoughts.

Finally he rose from his seating position, it appeared he would need to step in as more and more of the newcomers power was brought to the surface. It was getting to the point where Piccolo was beginning to doubt if he could take him one on one.

His aura flashed around him and he took off towards the city in the distance, ready to get involved and protect his future domain.

Lord Slug had tired of Vegeta's fruitless struggles and in a flash grasped Vegeta's shoulders and unleashed a skull rattling head butt to Vegeta's forehead.

Vegeta's body went limp momentarily, everything had gone black. He wouldn't slip into unconsciousness so easily though as he struggled to open his eyes, only his right seemingly able to respond.

Nappa who had slowly been coming to from the elbow to the head chose this moment to burst from the rubble burying him.

Slug took notice of this and punted Vegeta away with a kick to the chin, before turning to face Nappa latest bull rush. Nappa's attack ended before it could begin as Slug embedded his fist deep inside Nappa's gut. Blood and spittle sprayed from Nappa's mouth as the shockwave from the blow echoed through his body.

Slug backed up, pulling his fist from the dent in the giant's hunched body. Nappa's arms wrapped around his gut, a faraway look in his eyes as he slowly dropped to his knees, his entire body shaking. Finally he slumped to the ground face first and lay still.

Vegeta had forced himself up, blood streaming down the corner of his mouth, his left eye still refusing to open, just in time to see the Saiyan General taken out of action.

Vegeta let loose a low growl, this wasn't how the fight was supposed to go. Although he hadn't expected it to be an easy fight, but he felt he should've at least felt a flash of the power he had felt that day. His many theories were quickly being whittled down to just one. He needed an emotional stressor, one like he had that day against Frieza. But even that theory was proving difficult to test, there wasn't the years of pent up hatred to be used as fire against this Lord Slug that they were currently fighting.

His inner thoughts were cut off as Lord Slug finished admiring his work and turned back towards Vegeta. "What happened to all of you big talk? Have I already taken all the fight outta you?" Lord Slug taunted causing Vegeta to snarl.

"Enough! Galick GUN!" Vegeta shouted putting everything he had left into one final attack.

Slug didn't bother to move instead he raised one hand and allowed the attack to detonate harmlessly against him. The resulting explosion sent the still unconscious Nappa flying away, into the rubble once more.

Vegeta didn't make any moves he stood there panting. It was impossible no matter what he thought of nothing seemed to even faze his enemy, the power gap was proving to be too great.

"Fine then I will end this." Slug charged up his Big Masher attack. "Good bye Saiyan scum." Slug taunted before launching the attack.

Vegeta's eyes widened as he realized he wouldn't be able to dodge the attack in time. Just as it was about to collide though a spiraling attack intercepted it causing it to explode prematurely.

Lord Slug let out a growl as he tried to locate who would dare interfere with his finishing attack.

"So you're the one who've been attacking my planet." Piccolo stated, his voice without any sense of emotion.

"Another Namekian with enough strength to destroy my attack?" Lord Slug exclaimed, unable to believe that there was another Super Namekian still alive.

"Yes, now leave my planet and I'll let you live." Piccolo stated as he threw his weighted cape and turban to the side. There was no need to hold back, not against this opponent.

"Butt out Green-" Vegeta started to say taking a step forward, before being mentally launched backwards by Piccolo. The Saiyan would only get in the way at this point.

"I think I'll take my chances." Slug replied.

The two Namekian warriors stared one another down for a moment. It was as if both had become statues for a moment, Piccolo ignited his Kaioken times 3 before they both phased out.

Their fists colliding, an entire crater forming up around the duo. They didn't stay still long and began to exchange blow after blow. It only took a few seconds for both fighters to decide who the superior of the two was.

"Well I have to admit you are stronger than the other challenger's I've had today, but you are still no match for me." Slug explained confidently.

"I guess I should get serious then." Piccolo responded confidently, as he prepared to do something he had never succeeded at, at full power since his fusion, a Kaioken times 4. He cleared his mind completely he was confident after his latest round of training he could do it.

He let out a yell as he began to power up, his muscles burning with a new influx of red tinted energy flowing out from his very soul.

He launched forward and landed a blow to Slug's stunned cheek, sending the surprised fighter flying back.

Unfortunately for Piccolo the state of awe that Lord Slug was in wasn't because Piccolo had succeeded in passing him in strength. No quite the opposite as Piccolo powered up Lord Slug's strength grew by twice as much.

The stronger Namekian came to a stop after just a second of flight, a fit of laughter shaking the entire region.

Piccolo dropped out of his Kaioken to conserve his stamina. "What's so funny?" He growled out, just now noticing the sharp rise in his opponent's strength.

"Nothing really, I just learned the truth is all." Lord Slug said getting control of himself.

"Care to share what this truth you discovered is?" Piccolo asked trying to buy as much time to recover as possible.

"Oh just that you're the most powerful Namekian to have ever lived. At least you were until today." Lord Slug explained, "When I first made my wish to be twice as strong as any Namekian to have ever lived, I thought my comrades during the Golden age of us Super Namekians had been hiding their true power from me. But I now know how weak they really were."

Piccolo's eyes widened in shock, if what Slug said was true, then it meant it was impossible for him to defeat Slug, no matter how strong he got, or how far he multiplied his power, he would only ever expand the gap in their power. Piccolo began to shake with rage at the situation he found himself in.

"You know what, I'm going to make you deal." Slug sneered, "I let you live and serve me. It would be a win, win for all involved. You get to survive and I get more power."

Piccolo's fists tightened, "I refuse." He responded without even giving the offer a second thought. "I am the rightful King of this world and a King serves no one." Piccolo's voice gave no reason to continue the conversation his mind was made up.

"So be it." Slug responded prepared to test the full strength of his new power.

Piccolo jumped to Kaioken times 4 once more, but Slug's attack was still too fast for him to see. A large Ki blast crashed into him, knocking him into the ground, the resulting explosion flattened an entire city block. Luckily Master Roshi and his pupils had been working tirelessly clearing the city out. So there were no casualties.

Lord Slug continued to rain down attacks into the crater, for what seemed like an eternity. Finally letting up to examine his work.

Piccolo lay at the bottom of the crater, clinging to consciousness, unable to move.

Vegeta had watched on a grimace on his face, things seemed hopeless at this point. He had been hopelessly outmatched before, now because of the Earthling's Namekian the gap had grown even further. 'This is not how I die.' He told himself. 'Not when I'm so close to becoming a Super Saiyan.' He didn't believe his own words. Everyone had fallen, there was no one left standing beside himself.

His eyes falling to his longtime comrade; that was when he noticed it. Extending from Nappa's lower back. 'His tail!' It seemed fate was on his side yet again. The idiot was out cold, but he had a plan that just might work.

Flashing his aura around himself he shot off towards Nappa, scooped him up and took off at full speed towards the slightly damaged building they had been living in since arriving on this world.

Lord Slug noticed this and was about to follow the duo when a blast crashed into his back. It wasn't enough to hurt, or even to knock him from his feet. But it appeared someone else on this world had a death wish.

Turning around he noticed an old man with a large beard standing there, he too had noticed Nappa's tail and figured Vegeta had a plan.

"Your fight is with me now." Master Roshi said, though he couldn't keep the fear from his voice.

Vegeta landed without bothering to slow down much. "Where is the green brat?" He yelled startling the Namekians gathered.

"H-He-Here." Cargo said appearing from behind an elder.

"Heal him. Hurry." Vegeta ordered. "He's our only chance to survive."

Cargo nodded and rushed forward.

"Can anyone else heal?" Vegeta asked as he received glares from the adult Namekians.

Dende spoke up though. "I can"

"Heal me too. It might take both of us." Vegeta ordered wanting a second chance at Slug.

Both child healers got to work immediately.

The human warrior had been no challenge at all, he was weaker than the ones he had originally fought it seemed like.

The only thing the noble fool had done was delayed the inevitable by a few seconds.

By the time He arrived at the yellow building that the Namekians had been gathered by. When he landed he was surprised to find both of the Saiyan warriors awake, and seemingly unscathed. Then he remembered a use for the dragon clan. 'A healer.'

"It'll do you no good Saiyans no matter how many times you are healed I'll keep crushing you all the same." Slug said a frown on his face as he began to tire of the game he had been playing with the creatures of this world.

"Oh I think we can prove that wrong." Vegeta gave Nappa a nod before rushing forward. Nappa charged up a small white ball and threw it into the air at the same instant, staring up at it.

Slug watched all of this in confusion as to what was happening as he blocked Vegeta's hopeless attacks. By the time he looked at Nappa again it was already too late. The transformation had already started.

He launched Vegeta away from him and stared in shock as Nappa finished his transformation with a ground shaking roar.

"What?" Slug couldn't believe what he was seeing, it made no sense.

"That's right slug-man, behold the true might of the Saiyan race." Vegeta said with a smirk as he emerged from the hole in the Capsule Corps wall he had formed.

"So what? I can get larger too." Slug responded defiantly as he began to grow.

Vegeta watched on laughing on the inside as he remembered when Piccolo tried the very same trick against Nappa before.

Nappa was patient and let his adversary finish his transformation. It would be the first time ever had the chance to take on someone his own size as an Oozaru since Planet Vegeta was destroyed.

"Now then Saiyan prepare to die!" Slug shouted as he rushed forward, the tiny Namekians and humans that still remained in the area scattered trying to not get smashed under the giants' feet.

Slug's giant fist swung out, as Nappa caught it easily. The Saiyan's massive fist crashed into Slugs stomach launching the giant straight into the air.

Slug couldn't breathe, all the air had been forced from his lungs; finally he managed to stop himself almost a mile up into the air. 'What the hell...how'd he get that strong?' Slug asked himself as he noticed Nappa had vanished. "Where is he?" He shouted to himself as Nappa's giant tail wrapped around the Namekian's neck from behind. "Right here." His raspy voice boomed.

Slug struggled against the crushing force against his neck, nothing he did seemed to make a difference though. Nappa wanted this fight to end in style, though so instead of finishing his prey right there he instead threw him up higher into the sky.

Slug stopped himself again, and began to lash out with his stretchable arms trying to keep Nappa away from him, every strike only cut through an after image as Nappa quickly closed the gap between them.

Before Slug had a chance to think Nappa was in his face, the Namekian giant's eyes opened wide with fear and in the same instant both of Nappa's hands hit both sides of his head simultaneously. In an instant the force caused the Namekian's head to cave inwards, the life leaving his eyes.

As if to add the exclamation point to his victory Nappa let out a loud roar, before unleashing a massive yellow blast, completely vaporizing what was left of Slug.

After beating his chest a few times in celebration Nappa decided he might as well enjoy his transformation as long as possible and set off towards the giant ship, intending to rip it and all of its inhabitants to pieces while he had the chance.

Goku was hard at work trying to master instant transmission, getting more frustrated by the second at his inability to learn the complicated technique. His wife, his friends, his entire planet needed him, and he was letting them all down.

His thoughts of his own helplessness were suddenly interrupted by King Kai "Goku! Great news! They won! Nappa beat him!" The blue deity cheered, allowing a sense of relief to flood through Goku's system.

He slumped on the ground a tremendous burden lifted from him.

"Uh Goku, are you alright?" King Kai asked surprised Goku didn't seem more excited like his usual self at the news.

"Yeah, just relieved that I didn't make another huge mistake is all." Goku muttered as he cast the negative thoughts away. "Thanks for keeping me up to date King Kai. Now I can focus on getting this technique mastered so the others don't have to worry about me not being there ever again." Goku said his determination back in full swing.

(The next day)

Although Lord Slug had been defeated, and by some miracle none of the Earth's heroes had died in the conflict, an especially dark mood had fallen over the entire group gathered.

Chi Chi had taken the news they had just received the hardest, her plans of retrieving her son had been completely dashed. The words of the Namekian Elder rang through her mind one last time. "With the death of Elder Tsuno our set of Dragon Balls have gone permanently inert. I'm sorry." He had explained. Which meant she would have to wait a full 8 months, until the Earth's Dragon Balls became active again to even have a shot of returning her son to life. Even then the others would argue that the Namekian elder and all those killed in the fighting today would need to be wished back first. So the best she could hope for would be the Namekian Dragon Balls being active and ready to grant another wish when their owner was finally revived.

He slumped in her chair at the thought. 'Maybe Goku was right. Maybe this is a sign that we're supposed to find Gohan ourselves.' Her fist tightened as she cast the thought away. It didn't matter how Gohan got back to them, she just needed her son with her as soon as possible. She remembered her husband's promise he had made while trying to plead with her to delay the wish. 'Goku you better bring him home.'

Surprise happy chapter 30 everyone! I'm back with the fastest turn around on a Culture Shock chapter ever! Barely over 3 days since the last one was posted. I actually gave myself a day off from my endless pile of homework and studying I've had recently and I decided to burn off all the steam that had built up from last week in the form of just writing for awhile. After I got the first 3000 words done as early as I did I decided to just finish the entire chapter today just to say I did. So here you go! Well piccolo wid kaioken should be more than a match for him shouldn't he(unless he is ridiculously stronger than in canon)
Also Goku's reason seemed fit, it'll help Gohan be reassured that his father will do all to protect him

Yeah he was the new villian, I only gave myself 2 chapters worth of space to flush it out so it needed to be someone who could be defeated in that time frame. He was stronger than cannon as you see, I reasoned since he had 2 wishes to work with instead of just 1 he would likely use the second wish as well, and this seemed to be the best way to make things interesting that I could think of.

I'm glad you liked Goku's reasoning about Gohan being wished back, you have one of the reasons figured out. The other is to help Goku get over the guilt he feels in failing to protect Gohan from Raditz.

Okay I guess Goku asking to do it personally is another way to extend Gohan's story is fine, and does further HIS development some, just not Gohan's.

Hmm Lord Slug is an interesting idea for earth problem, and he doesn't even have to be as strong as Frieza, only stronger then 50% since Only Goku felt his power above that.

Now, I've never played DBO either, since it was only available in korea, I've just read things online, but the info just reflected something I thought fit with what's been established here, and of course later I found out that the Super Sayian power can only be obtained by collecting the Dragon Balls in that game so it doesn't suggest what I was thinking anyway. But The point is it has a direct connection to the DBZ author, the storyline being co-written with him, unlike most movies', specials, and GT. So in a sense it is more cannon and you are using some of them for this story, example Cooler even being in this story.

But that's the thing about fanfiction, and even regular longrunning series, the only thing that matters for continuity is what the writer remembers and interoperates things to mean. Some people seem to insist that the earth Dragon Balls can't revive someone if they've been dead more then a year, not the case in this story as is suggested by the Mr. Popo wish, and I don't remember that ever being establish in series.

It's also seems like Kami has more power over they Dragonballs then Dende, or any of the other Namekians, did since he could revive their power whenever it is convenient for the plot, He did it after the King Piccolo arc, not a year after the wish, and obviously again when he was revived from the dead because that defiantly wasn't a year after the wish to bring Goku back to life.

Yeah it is a bit of a balancing act trying to develop all of the characters the way I imagine them in this story in my head. As for Lord Slug's strength I reasoned he didn't even have to be a quarter of Frieza's full strength to pose a significant threat to everyone involved. Seeing how the next strongest fighter is Piccolo (with Kaioken) Who Lord Slug's power level is directly tied to for this chapter.

Nappa being stronger than Vegeta came about from the fact that they were essentially equal the last time I had both power levels listed, and then Nappa dying, which I reasoned would give him a large zenaki.

Also I wouldn't say goodbye to the powerlevel chart just yet, I plan on trying to make the fights make sense based on everyone's power levels as much as I can.

I'm not sure what you are referencing with Mr. Popo's wish being an example of someone who had been dead more than a year being wished back. I don't believe anyone got wished back who were dead for more than a year. I think the 1 year time limit was established in Dragon Ball instead of Dragon Ball z if I am remembering correctly.

Yeah Kami did seem to have a unique level of control over the Dragon Balls, it seemed to kind of be an inconsistency in the series. Sometimes it seemed like the Dragon Balls reset after their owner was brought back to life and sometimes it seemed like they didn't.

Hatred- (Chapters 19 & 20 and Chapter 2 of Game of Tails)

I was wondering how Goku so weak could match Frieza. You nerfed him! I'm just curious... do you know or have an implication of Friea power? His 2nd form is said to be over 1m yes...but his 3rd transformation should be much high and his 4th much more high than this. I feel as if you didn't give Frieza enough justice. Frieza power level at 25% is estimated to be30m by my standards. Now I'm not good at math, but it stated that his 100% power was 120m so 50% would be 60m. 75% 90m

3, 6, 9, 12 which means at least Frieza in his final form should at least be over 10m or so. Now it';s hard to calculate, but it would be much higher than just 2m. He only increased 1m from his 2nd to 4th. What? Now if you stated in a previous chapter that Frieza would be weaker or change, that I can understand always you're severely underestimating his power level.

First off I want to say I hope the name you chose to review with doesn't reflect your feelings towards the story lol. But anyway onto the review. The number I always saw for Frieza at 2.5% is 3,000,000... and I just went back and looked I think you are refering to chapter 19 in which I did fuck up his power level. I will go back and change that to 3,000,000 instead of 2,400,000 if the 90 day limit hasn't already passed. I must've copied someone elses power level into his spot by mistake. So thank you for catching that. I did have his powerlevel for the rest of the fight based on the 120,000,000 value and I had intended for his powerlevel during that portion of the fight to be 3,000,000 like it was in the show.

So another review about power level. I don't think it ha anything to do with zenkai. It has to do with the unlocked ability. Unlike what the Old Kai did to Gohan in Buu saga, this instead brings your powers out the more you go on or fight. It had nothing to do with it, but rather 75k was Krillin unlocked maximum and just kept rising from his weaker power level.

Your explanation about Krillin's power level rising up to its maximum does make sense. The one issue I have with it is during the show, there was a 2 week period in which Krillin and Gohan were mostly resting, yet their strength didn't rise up to their full potential after being unlocked. Instead they hovered closer to where they were when it was first unlocked. The big jumps seemed to happen, even for Krillin, right after they were fighting. i.e. After fighting the Ginyu force and fighting Ginyu in Goku's body. If that makes sense.

Chapter 2 of Game of Tails (adding it in here since I am still a long ways away from having another chapter of that done and I cannot private message you)

Dude! This fanfic is more interesting to me than Culture Shock. Okay well I like both, but I think the idea is great. I really don't like Game of Thrones and thought it'd suck, but you or whoever is in charge have to finish this. Or at least continue it.

Well I'm glad to hear you enjoyed what I had for game of tails. That story was one of the stories I use as a secondary story for when I get writers block on Culture Shock, I believe I can speak for my cousin when I say it is lower on his priority list as well. The problem I have updating that one is I can do a pretty good job keeping myself focused on Culture Shock because I decided it was going to be my main story. I'm a little more scatter brained when it comes to my back up stories though. I have this really bad (or good) thing where I come up with a new story idea I think is really awesome every couple of weeks, so it makes it hard for me to focus on just 1 backup. There is still a possibility that one will be continued at some point though.

Yes Lord Slug does 'crash' the party both figuratively and literally lol. Slug made 2 wishes, 1 for youth like he did in the movie and with his second wish he wished to be the strongest Namekian ever just to make him a bit more interesting of a villain. Piccolo is training by himself currently, he is having a bit of an identity crisis right now so he's trying to work that out as he goes.
