Chapter 42: From the Future

"It worked! The infinite energy reactors worked!" Dr. Gero madly cackled as he checked and double checked his three precious creation's statuses. While it was true they had all been severely damaged by that monster, it was nothing he couldn't fix with a few hours of tender love and care. He was about to order his prized trio home when Android 13 suddenly contacted him instead.

"Hey Doc, we got ourselves an unknown waltzin' up to the group." The country trucker like Android's mental voice said through the speakers of Gero's computer.

Dr. Gero checked his cameras, disguised as small insects all throughout the battlefield, and confirmed that there was in fact a new potential threat with a mid-leveled power level standing with the group he wanted nothing more to wipe from existence.

"Thank you 13, return to base, I'll take it from here." The mad-doctor ordered as he repositioned several of his cameras in position to pick up what was said.

"At ease, just answer our questions." Major Meditrain responded to the awkwardly saluting girl in front of him, surprised by the woman's suddenly timid behavior after standing up to Vegeta.

"Sorry sir, I'll explain everything." She said before clearing her throat. "I am Honorary-Private Lime Lao." Lime paused for a moment seemingly in deep thought. "Ok I don't really know how much I am supposed to tell you or how it will affect where I'm from so here we go... I'm from the future."

A mixture of disbelief and an uncomfortable laughter spread among the group.

"Enough of your foolishness, I will not let some human girl's fantasy delay me from my destiny." Vegeta snarled determined to finally right the wrongs Kakarot's ascension on Namek had caused him. "I will defeat Kakarot and prove once and for all that I Vegeta, Prince of all Saiyans, am the most powerful being in the universe!"

"I'm not lying! I'm from 10 years from now, the year 774, most of the planet is in ruins. Besides there isn't any point in fighting Goku right now because you lose, badly. Because unlike you Goku fights to defend the planet and-" Lime tried to explain before being cut off by the Saiyan Prince once more.

"Prove it!" Vegeta snarled now more determined than ever to fight Kakarot that very minute.

Immediately all eyes turned to Lime who shifted uncomfortably under their glare, "I can't show you the HD videos of you loss that were streamed to the entire world because they were in the time machine but…" Lime paused for a moment as she tried to think, finally inspiration struck her. "Here, Goku this medicine is part of my mission." The brown haired girl said as she handed the purple vial to the Earth raised Saiyan.

"Uh thanks..." Goku said as he looked at the vial confused. "What is it for?" He finally asked while one of Vegeta's eyes began to twitch in irritation at the mental image of not only him losing but that he was humiliated yet again in front of an entire world in the process.

"For your heart virus...that you get...in a couple years..." Limes voice began to trail off as she realized that no one knew about the heart virus yet so it wouldn't prove what she was saying.

"Maybe you could show us how you got back here?" Bulma prodded after an awkward silence.

Lime's discomfort only seemed to grow at the suggestion. "I wish I could show you the time machine, you built it for us actually but I don't have it any more." Lime's face was bright red as she looked to the ground embarrassed with herself. "My...uh the other half of my delivery sort of stole the time machine capsule from me while I was watching the fight..." Lime admitted quietly, while mentally chiding herself for the hundredth time for her mistake.

"And just how did your delivery manage that?" Vegeta scoffed mentally reassuring himself the girl was insane.

"Well my delivery was actually a person, the only person from the future who could've helped stop the second problem 3 years from now." Lime awkwardly explained.

"And what problem would that be?" Vegeta asked sarcastically tiring of the human girl's games.

Lime sighed before looking up a renewed vigor in her eyes, "it might be better if I start at the beginning. 3 years from now the world as you know it ends. Goku while out searching the galaxy for his son contracts a new deadly heart virus and dies. Less than a month later most of the rest of the people standing here join him in the afterlife, when an island off the coast of south city is attacked. After the initial wave of EDF soldiers are wiped out Piccolo and..."

Lime paused for a moment trying to get her thoughts straight. "Uh... never mind, you'll find out about him soon enough." Everyone looked at her slightly curious as to who was supposed to be with Piccolo but at the moment the prediction of their collective untimely demise kept them quiet.

"Anyway Piccolo and another powerful warrior go to investigate. You find Dr. Gero, a mad scientist left over from the Red Ribbon army and the creator of the Androids that helped you fight Vegeta and Nappa when they first tried to destroy humanity, and 3 more of his insidious creations. After a prolonged fight that resulted in the complete destruction of the city, the next wave of fighters arrive just in time to see you both fall after a valiant fight." Lime paused for a moment as Piccolo's face fell to a scowl. The recently whole Namekian held his tongue for her to continue though.

"Simultaneously; Vegeta you and Nappa were in your own fight with three other Androids sent specifically to eliminate you for destroying the two Androids Gero sent after you when you first arrived on Earth." Lime started immediately grabbing Vegeta's attention.

"Even though both you and Nappa were already Super Saiyans you both fell after the destruction of most of West City. Nappa actually ended up buying Bulma and the other person I was supposed to bring to you enough time to escape before the androids finished him." Lime gave a slight nod in thanks to Nappa for what his future counterpart had done.

The Saiyan General was too stunned to notice the gesture though as her saying that he too had become a legendary Super Saiyan had been replaying constantly in his mind.

"By the end of the day every fighter of any note besides General Chi Chi, General Caspin, General Meditrain, General Chappa and General Roshi had been eliminated. Along with 1 android assumed destroyed and Dr. Gero confirmed dead." Lime finished as the shock washed over everyone.

Lime still wasn't done yet though and continued. "You five along with some of the newer fighters go on to set up the EDF anti-android battalion. We've been playing cat and mouse with the androids ever since." She finished.

"Enough!" Vegeta declared the instant she was finished. "You mean to tell me that some old man was able to build machines as strong as King Cold? I've never heard something more foolish in my life." Vegeta's gaze was relentless as he spoke what many of the others gathered were thinking.

"Well I believe her." Goku said with a warm, reassuring smile much to Lime's relief.

"Of course a fool like you would believe her, for all you know the vial she gave you could be poison." Vegeta snarled at Goku who looked down at the vial with a look of surprise.

"Well that might be, but with everything I've seen so far I can't say her story is really that strange." Goku replied as he sheepishly rubbed the back of his head.

The entire group from Earth considered what Goku had said for a moment before mostly agreeing, in terms of what they had experienced so far in their lives a time traveler warning them about super powered androids coming to get revenge on Goku and apparently Vegeta didn't seem too far out of the ordinary.

"Well I guess one way we can confirm at least part of her story is for me to analyze a sample of the vial." Bulma said rejoining the conversation, still unsure which way she should lean.

"Hey great idea Bulma." Goku beamed. "And if it turns out it is medicine we can start planning what to do about the androids." Goku said unable to hide his excitement at the thought of a new powerful challenge, after his recent near failure.

Dr. Gero was shocked, his plan had, for the most part, succeeded. He had been able to get revenge against Vegeta, but the cost of his partial victory had been his life. If he had been responsible for Goku's death it might've been a price he had been willing to pay, but the fact his revenge had been stolen from him by something as simple as a virus was too much to bare.

To complicate the situation more; she was, not only attempting to ruin his revenge by warning the bane of Gero's existence and Goku's allies of his impending plans, but also attempting to save Goku giving Dr. Gero a chance to hopefully kill Goku himself.

Dr. Gero slammed his fist on the table, regardless of the limited success he had apparently had in the future adjustments would have to be made to stave off a complete derailment if his plans. Immediately the mad doctor rose from his seat to redo all of his plans at the beginning.

Goku quickly explained how he could in theory get everyone to Bulma's house instantly.

Chi Chi though couldn't focus on what her husband was saying at the moment. The idea that the girl before her was actually from the future was too tantalizing to pass up knowing she still didn't have her son back.

Finally Chi Chi could restrain herself no more, she had to ask. "Wait what about my son? How long until we find him? Do you know where he is now? Did Gohan survive the android attack?" Chi Chi reeled off, the fact Goku believed the girl gave Chi Chi a small amount of confidence in her predictions.

Lime tensed up like she had when speaking to Major Meditrain and started to salute again before Chi Chi stopped her, "Don't salute me; just answer my questions." The Ox Princess said as she grabbed Lime by the shoulders.

"I...uh...no Goku got sick looking for your son and you were not able to learn instant transmission before the Androids attacked." Lime explained.

"Why didn't we wish him back?" Chi Chi said interrogating the girl.

"I...I think you ran out of wishes because-" Lime tried to explain.

"How could we run out of wishes? Didn't they wish the Namekian dragon back too?" Chi Chi continued to grill Lime.

"Yes, but the Namekians left and you had to wish everyone who died today back as well and-" Lime started to say before a different voice cut her off.

"Wait like my daddy?" Videl asked her voice full of hope from a short distance away, by herself watching where her father's body was again instead of listening to what Goku was saying.

Chi Chi couldn't speak for a moment as she looked at Videl. In the girl she couldn't help but see how Gohan would be in many ways.

Lime too was stunned silent as she looked into the small, innocent face of someone she knew so well in the future. A rush of emotions threatened to overwhelm as she tried to respond, guilt being the strongest of them. "I...you betcha." Lime finally said with the best smile she could manage as she ruffled the child's hair.

Videl smiled from ear to ear when she heard the news and excitedly jumped into the air flying around.

Chi Chi finally shook off the trance she felt like she was under and turned back to continue her questioning of Lime when Goku finally intervened.

"Hey Chi, Bulma is wanting to test the vial so we can talk more about this later." Goku carefully asked hoping he could convince Chi Chi to drop the point for the time being without losing his chance at dinner.

Chi Chi stopped for a second thinking, "Fine." Was all she said as she turned away, thinking about which direction she needed to fly to get to Bulma's home.

Goku mentally sighed a sigh of relief. "Ok everyone if you put a hand on my shoulder or the shoulder of someone connected to my shoulder we can get moving." Goku cheerily said.

Everyone gathered around still confused at how Goku was going to actually get them to Capsule Corps instantly.

"Hey are you coming Vegeta?" Goku asked as the Saiyan Prince and his bodyguard were the only ones still standing off on their own.

"Hn." Was the only response Vegeta gave his rival before taking to the air intending to return to Bulma's home on his own and get in some more training while his adversary continued to chase some girl's fairy tale.

"Uh...ok then..." Goku awkwardly said to himself before focusing back at the problem at hand. "Ok guys, here we go." Goku said as he placed his fingers to his forehead and focused on locating a familiar energy.

Before anyone attached to Goku knew what had happened they realized they were suddenly standing in Dr. Brief's laboratory, with a surprised Dr. Briefs staring in shock at them all.

"Honey...bring snacks...I think we have guests..." The stunned inventor finally managed.

Gohan was excited, whatever Turles was going to give him had to be good, like candy, or ice cream, or a toy. He told himself as he practically skipped down the road next to his Saiyan peers, and his irritated former ruler.

At every store they passed, Gohan would look inside wondering if this would be where his present was. It took the group nearly an hour to make it back to their ship, the leader of their group taking the scenic route around the city.

Finally they arrived, just as Cacao and Diaz were loading the last of the supplies they had been ordered to gather. "Hey Diaz grab a couple of glasses and pour us some ale." Turles ordered as he got close.

His longtime ally hurried to comply with his commander's order, and within 5 minutes two glasses full of ale were prepared and sitting on the table in the main haul. "Ok kid, get up here and grab your glass." Turles ordered.

Gohan excitedly bounced up to his seat, expecting the drink set before him to be something sweet like the lemonade his mother would give him as a child, as soon as he took a sip he knew it was as far from the truth as he could imagine. The child could barely keep from spitting his drink back out the instant it touched his lips. Finally the child managed to choke the vile concoction down, tears building in his eyes as a horrible burning feeling spread down his throat.

"How was it?" Turles asked on the verge of breaking down in laughter like several of his men had at the look on Gohan's face.

"That was awful!" Gohan exclaimed bluntly as he pushed the glass away from him, completely forgetting the manners his mother had attempted to hammer into him when he was younger. Causing even Turles and Raditz broke into laughter at the child's response.

Gohan looked back and forth, his anger beginning to swell up inside of him at being made the butt of their joke. "That's not nice!" He declared finally "You said you were giving me a present not picking on me!"

His outburst only added fuel to the fire of their laughter as it continued for several more minutes before Turles finally could speak again. "Kid I'm giving you the best gift I can right now. You want to be strong right? Well if you can finish that entire glass of Tarisian ale I'll give you the second half of your gift, and believe me you won't like it very much until you've finished that whole glass." Turles warned, his tone was ominous but the smirk on his face made it appear he was on the verge of breaking down laughing again.

Gohan looked from his commander to the glass of red liquid before him and back again, finally the child took a deep breath, plugged his nose and began to chug away at the drink. In under a minute the child was done, already the Ale's legendary effects were taking their toll on the child as he began to wobble to-and-fro in his seat, his eyes slowly getting droopy, even his occasional hiccups were enough to nearly knock the child from his chair.

"Hey Captain, just what are you going to give the kid now anyway?" Diaz finally spoke up, obviously amused by the display so far.

"Just a nice Zenkai boost is all." Turles replied a grin of anticipation on his face as he snatched the child from his chair ready to take him to the ship's gym, "Raditz grab my cup and follow me, the rest of you; I want us on our way towards our destination by the time I'm done here." Turles ordered as he was leaving the room.

Raditz and the others quickly moved to follow their instructions. The Saiyan warrior not speaking a word of protest to his cousin about what was about to happen to his nephew.

Once they entered Turles's personally gym the Saiyan commander wasted no time letting loose on the child with a vicious blow to the child's ribs. The otherwise silent room first echoed with the snapping sounds of Gohan's ribs, and then with a quiet groan.

Raditz had to resist a cringe when he heard the weak groan, knowing how painful such a blow would be.

"It's kinda funny isn't it?" Turles suddenly asked. "How effective this stuff is that is." Turles continued as Raditz continued to look at him confused.

"Effective at what, sir?" Raditz asked his cousin/commander.

Turles frowned, "You've never had Tarisian ale have you Cousin?" The spiky haired Saiyan seemed to be troubled by that fact.

"I...Can't say that I have." Raditz admitted not liking the look Turles was giving him.

"Well we can't have that now, can we?" Turles said with a sudden sincere laugh. "Go on drink up while I finish up with Gohan." Turles ordered much to Raditz's surprise.

"Uh thanks sir." Raditz said with a nod as he began to drink the powerful drink. It was by far not the worst alcohol he had come across in his decades as a planet pirate.

Within the Saiyan warrior was hit by a numbing sensation spreading throughout his body, his mind going foggy faster than even his first time drinking. Somewhere in the distance he could still hear loud bangs and cracks as Turles continued to pound away on Gohan. Raditz couldn't see what was happening though as the second he finished the glass, he lost the ability to focus his eyes.

Everything got quiet for a moment before a Raditz felt as if he was flying, something hit him from behind less than a second later, but the Saiyan warrior couldn't feel a thing. In fact it made him begin to laugh if anything, not even noticing the blood spilling from his mouth as he did.

"See what did I tell you, this stuff is amazing." Turles said with a chuckle as Raditz tried to stand back up. "I just broke 3 of your ribs and you didn't feel a thing." Turles continued as he lifted his cousin into the air. "I can break your arm-" A loud crack filled the room as Turles did just that "And you wouldn't even notice till the hangover takes effect." Turles explained with a chuckle.

"Took me a year to be able to drink more than a glass at a time. This stuff really is the best in the galaxy." He continued as Raditz's head limply stared around the room. "Well, I guess I'll have to explain all that to you tomorrow anyway." Turles finally concluded as he began to pound away at Raditz as well deciding to take advantage of the otherwise wasted glass of his favorite drink.

10 minutes later both of the nearly dead Saiyans were out cold in their respective healing tanks at the back of the ship and the Captain back at the helm with a new glass of his own, staring out of the viewport the former low class Saiyan couldn't help but dream of the future. 'Soon, the King of the Saiyans will have his rightful place as the ruler of the universe.' He thought to himself as he imagined what his first days in charge would be like. "I think I'll need some more ale afterwards." Mumbled to himself.

(The next day)

West City's traffic during rush hour was among the worst on the entire planet, and today was no different. Bulma could hear endless horns honking in the distance as she read the final results on the sample she had taken from the vial of 'medicine' last night. To say she was astonished was an understatement. "Amazing, this stuff could revolutionize the treatment of viruses everywhere." She exclaimed as she rushed out of her lab to tell the others what she had found.

Not surprisingly almost the entire group were sleeping, when she arrived, or in Piccolo's case meditating. The two missing Saiyans, no doubt breaking more of the training equipment she had built for them, being the exceptions. "Hey guys good news." She exclaimed as she entered the room waking the entire group up. "It looks like Lime is telling the truth, at least that this is an antiviral medicine. A darn good one if I do say so myself. Something like this could revolutionize medicine for centuries to come. Whoever invented it was sure a genius." She explained excitedly to the half-awake group of confused warriors around her.

"Well you were the inventor." Lime said with a yawn, causing Bulma to smile ear to ear. "So can we start discussing what we're going to do about the androids now?" She continued before Bulma could speak.

"Well I don't see any reason why not." Goku replied as he began his wake up exercises in the middle of the crowded floor.

"Great-" Lime started to say before the telephone began to ring, a television screen popping out of the wall showing it was none-other than King Furry himself calling.

"Uh hold that thought." Bulma quickly said as she rushed to pick up the phone.

Within a few minutes Bulma had returned a shocked look on her face. "Guys we need to get to downtown right now. I think we can confirm the rest of Lime's story." Bulma managed as the group quickly got ready to go, unsure what they would find waiting for them.

(Across town)

Traffic was backed up for miles as people left their cars in droves looking intently in the space-ship shaped object that had so suddenly appeared in the middle of the highway.

Some distance away from the ship a group of paramedics did their best to squeeze their way through the crowd. In the large dome like window adorning the top of the strange ship sat a bloodied child, his face leaving a trail of blood across the inner surface as it slowly slide down the side. The lavender haired youth was barely breathing, but none of the citizens gathered around would touch the machine, knowing full well the device could lead to yet another fit of insanity to envelope their previously peaceful world.

Well chapter 42 is officially in the books. I hope everyone enjoyed the introduction of our visitors from the future :). The next few chapters will slowly reveal not only what happened to Trunks but what happened to lead to this bizarre future more in depth. In addition there will be a healthy dose of Gohan for awhile as he and his two Saiyan companions continue their quest to become the most powerful warriors in the universe.

Before we get to the review section today I feel I should let everyone know that the age of the weekly updates are likely ending with this chapter. Over the next month not only do I have to prepare to move back to college again but also I have to prepare to take the two GRE tests needed to begin my quest to make it into grad school. That said I will still update as often as I possibly can, and reviews definitely help give me a boost to write just a little bit more when I am tired etc, so please keep reviewing :).

One final note before I begin the review responses, I want to thank everyone who has reviewed this summer, you all rock! Almost a 100 reviews in less than 3 months is absolutely amazing. Thank you all, and I hope I continue to make a story worthy of your time and your responses, because I love the feedback :).

Reviews:

princeofalmora and priyankita- so trunks was there ... I really did not expect cold to be more powerful than frieza but it makes more sense. . colds are not the kind to respect their daddy . . unless he is really poweful

Thanks for the review, to answer your question yup Trunks was there, and he is back again. Yeah I know some people disagree with me about placing Cold stronger than Frieza but based on what was said in the show, and the reasoning you listed above I really didn't see Cold even being alive unless he was stronger than Frieza. At the very least he would no longer have King as his title.

anonymous- This was a good chapter

Though I think kamicollo is kinda much weaker than he should be, I mean after 3 years when they fused in canon where picollo did not have potential unlocked he was stronger than a ssj even, on par with 17 and 18
Also maybe ssj for goku should grant more power(greater than 147 million) because he has for sure mastered it to some degree(though no where even close to fpssj) but still enough to gain access to more power I guess
Well yeah u did capture vegeta perfectly, the asshole he his at least at this point of tym
And the twist is definitely interesting with lime coming back, meaning the future of this Universe has come back and nt some other universe(like canon) though the reaction of trunks would have been priceless seeing so many z fighters
It was good to see this fight being a combined effort and not just goku stealing the show(though he is the protagonist and gohan)
Anyways on a completely random note, have u seen dragon ball super yet? It has cleared so many controversies in just the first 2-3 episodes
Anyways update soon

Glad you enjoyed the end of the fight. As far as Piccolo's strength I will do my best to explain my reasoning for pegging it where it is. First off Piccolo did have his potential partially unlocked, same withGoku but even so he was only twice as strong as he was at that point in canon. This doubling of strength does allow Piccolo's gains over the subsequent year to be higher than they would otherwise have been so in the end his potential unlock resulted in him being more than twice as strong as he would've otherwise have been. Even so after 3 years of intensive training with Goku and Gohan Piccolo would've been much more than twice as strong as he was when Mecha-Frieza arrived. He was strong enough that Dr. Gero didn't want to get into a prolonged fight with him after all. Right now Piccolo is a mere fraction of his counterpart's strength after the 3 years training, but because Kami, the other half of the fusion is stronger than he was in canon, the boost that Piccolo got was much higher than it otherwise would've been. If all of that makes sense.

For Goku's ssj, yeah it should honestly be a little bit stronger than that, not much though because he really hasn't trained his Super Saiyan state at all. He went Super Saiyan once, learned instant transmission and has been focused on bouncing from planet to planet in search of Gohan instead of mastering his state like he did during the missing year in the show. So in reality Goku is one of the few characters that as of right now is weaker in Culture shock than he was in the canon universe.

The way I view how time travel in DBZ works is it is connected to your own universe, but when you go back that timeline splits off. It is still connected to the universe the time traveler comes back from up until that point like branches on a tree. So it isn't really possible for someone to come from a completely different universe (like the canon universe) to this one, unless of course you have someone like the Supreme Kai of time or something like that helping you.

That's what I was thinking during the fight, everyone was so outclassed against Cold that it didn't make sense for anyone, even Goku, to steal the show this time. Their only hope was to work together, and even then it wouldn't have worked without the help of a certain someone who's keeping a close eye on them all.

Yeah I've seen the first three episodes of Super, it is definitely nice to have some Dragon ball I haven't watched before available lol. The only issue is for as many issues as I think they've resolved so far, they have opened up a couple of new plot holes in my opinion. At least so far it has been much better than GT. Thanks again for the review :)

Simgr101- well cold is dead good chap though the future warrior appearing the old filler character lime is interesting. the future timeline theory i had seen done in another fic. where the story follows out then someone went back in time was wondering if you were taking that route oh well. 17/18 are going to be so damn over powered if cold's power is any estimate now. gero if he still turns himself into an android will also be over powered. though im wondering if gero can make a normal human with that much power what could he do with aliens or frieza's people. theres a fic out there that is retelling rof and instead of frieza rushing it they have him researching and learning everything about the z fighters. using gero's tech and even techniques like fusion for his armies. while he himself reaches his own god form by doing what is opposite for his species.

seeing that makes me wonder would cooler decide to join forces with gero or even plan to adapt his tech to the pto and his own armies. is cooler going to pointlessly come for revenge or just come to earth to mock everyone for handing him the fucking universe on a silver platter.

Thanks for the review.

Yeah the defenders of Earth just took on someone well outside their paygrade and by the skin of their teeth (with some help) they managed to pull off the win. I'm glad you like the inclusion of Lime so far, or at the very least it got your attention. I think her being the one to come back is enough evidence that the future is a very different, and in many ways more desperate, than the canon future.

Oic, that sounds like an interesting story, I'll have to find it sometime. Yeah I think it is obvious at this point that Dr. Gero isn't going to sit idly by and let the Future that Lime wants to have happen come to pass.

As for what Dr. Gero's improvements could do for someone like Frieza, i'd say it could at least get him stronger than King Cold's final form was. You'd have his base of 120+ million + at least a couple hundred million from the infinite energy reactors. That'd make for a good fight between father and son at least.

I actually haven't seen Return of Frieza yet, but I should know what you are talking about pretty soon lol. But yes cutting edge technology (Like Gero's) and actually training up his troops would help the PTO alot.

Cooler is going to have a lot on his plate in the coming chapters, especially once he learns of his father and brother's demise. I do have many plans for Cooler though so i can't say more than that right now.

Jhotenko-

Lime!? Wow... I know you like to build up the secondary characters, but I never would have seen this one coming. I want to write more here, but I think you broke my brain. I can't even begin to guess how things are going to pan out now. I'll just sit back and enjoy watching you weave the tapestry that is 'Culture Shock.'

Lol, the broke your brain comment cracks me up every time I read it, definitely one of my favorite responses all time :). I'm glad I could catch you so off-guard lol. The future is a crazy place, i'm actually really excited to give everyone glimpses into its madness.

super mystic gohan- good chapter mate king cold got killed but was there three people that fired an attack at him from behind? and why is there only one person from the future ? also is she hiding her power ? so many question might have to read this chapter again the beam struggle got me a little confused if there was 3 people firing from behind cold or not and who did that massaive attack behind cold aswell lol

Thanks for the review, sorry I appear to have confused you some with the last chapter, I will try to explain what happened, though I think this current chapter cleared some of your questions up. There is one person from the future at the end of the previous chapter, Lime who was suppose to deliver a certain lavender haired boy to the past not only to keep him safe but also because he could become strong enough to help. She is not hiding her power level, she had suppressed it during the fight, but the power I mentioned, around Tien's level, is her current maximum without Kaioken. The three people firing their attacks combined there attacks into one massive attack at the end in order to put more pressure on King Cold. I'm kind of surprised that you were the only person to ask about the 3 mystery people attacking Cold. But thinks for pointing out that that section might be confusing, I will definitely look over it again and make sure I didn't mess something up.

RKF22-

Hmm Lime from the future I bet Gohans involved

Not this time I am afraid. More will be revealed about the future soon :)

Blue Cat- "You can find your son after I've had my honour restored?" Interesting. So Vegeta doesn't intend to fight Goku to the death then?

Thanks for the review :). Vegeta's interest is more in restoring his honor, if in the moment that means killing Goku he will, more than anything he just wants revenge. Besides he knows that even if Goku is killed it wouldn't take long for him to be wished back anyway, so Goku could resume his search after the dragon brings him back in his mind.

fatefan- well I'm glad that fight is over. It dragged on a bit too long for my taste. Vegeta's challenge came out of nowhere. aren't they all injured?

I am hoping the time traveler is not an OC

I'm sorry you didn't enjoy the chapter very much, but I will try to answer your questions. The time traveler is not an OC, she was a minor filler character from the show. The girl that Gohan rescued in the days leading up the Cell games, I do have a backstory in mind for how she ended up being the one sent back, but all of that will be explained shortly. Dende and Cargo arrived and healed those with the worst injuries i.e. Goku, Vegeta, etc. So they are fully healed. I probably should've given Vegeta's frame of mind a better description when I wrote the chapter the first time. Basically Vegeta still feels like his honor is tarnished by Goku denying his ascension to super saiyan during the Namek saga, furthermore the fact Goku beat him to becoming a Super Saiyan is also something bugging Vegeta. And finally the fact that he had to have help (alot) for Cold to finally defeat him is just another bruise to his ego. This all adds up to his seemingly sudden demand. if that makes sense.

wheathermangohanssj4- Well that was interesting...actually now that I think about it Cold being ...That would ACTUALLY allow Goku to be stronger. It's not just the Vague Threat of the androids being super strong but an actually I need to be stronger then THAT.

I'll admit, I did NOT see the twist at the end coming nice job.

That will definitely be an effect not just on Goku but on the other characters as well going forward. They actually have a taste for power beyond there current limits, it will just drive them all to attain that level faster. Glad you enjoyed the twist at the end of last chapter, I figured I'd catch everyone off guard with that one lol :)

calcu22- And so the future arc begins. I really like how everyone worked together at the end to defeat Cold, it was a well writen scene. also if I'm remembering correctly,Lime was a kid Gohan recured once, so that means she didn't come from the far future, maybe only 7 years or so. Very interesting. Keep up the good work!

Thanks for the review, Glad you enjoyed the chapter :). Yes the future arc has begun. Teamwork on these types of challenges is something that always seemed to be lacking in the show, with a few exceptions. It makes sense when you are completely outmatched to have some help when the fate of the world is on the line. Yes Lime is the character Gohan rescued in the days leading up the Cell games. 7 years is a solid guess actually, it is actually a bit longer than that but less than the 20 or whatever it was in the canon timeline.
