Chapter 44: Gohan's First Harvest
A knocking sound, somewhere beyond the darkness of his mind was the first thing the child noticed as he was slowly pulling him from the dark dreamless slumber.
Slowly Gohan opened his eyes to see a familiar spiky hair man knocking on the tank window with the all too familiar blue-green liquid surrounding him. 'Dad?' Was his first hazy thought before he remembered where he was, it had been the same way several other times during his journey with his new commander. He still couldn't get over how much his Father's cousin looked like his father.
Slowly the liquid began to drain as Gohan tried to remember how he had done to require a healing tank to begin with. Gohan quickly pushed these thoughts from his mind as a more important question entered it. 'How much stronger did whatever happened, make me?' Gohan knew whatever happened had to have given him a zenkai otherwise he wouldn't need to be in the healing tank.
Just as the last of the blue liquid drained away he pushed the door open, the first thing he noticed was his Uncle similarly exiting the second nearby healing tank, an equally confused look on his face.
"Rise and shine you two. We have some gardening to do today." Turles declared loudly testing to see if his Saiyan compatriots were affected by the Ale's legendary hangover.
When neither Saiyan collapse in agony by the mere sound of his voice he could only assume the healing pod had 'removed the poison' from their blood.
"Wait we're already to the planet?" Raditz asked surprised, he couldn't remember why he was in the healing pod but he must've been nearly fatally injured to have to spend a whole night in it.
"Yes, now hurry up and get your armor on. I can taste the sweet power the Tree of Might will give us already." Turles added with a look of anticipation, this planet had plenty of life force to give them extra powerful fruit. Though the fruit itself wasn't the only thing he was looking forward too. 'Time to see what the kid is worthy of the Saiyan blood in his veins.' He added to himself as the door closed behind him.
It only took a few minutes for both of the still slightly disoriented Saiyan warriors to join the rest of Turles' crew as the leader waited expectantly looking out over the abundant jungles surrounding them, he could practically feel the power that would soon be flowing through his veins already.
"Diaz, Cacao, take Pyros and plant the tree somewhere near here, just make sure it is far enough away the ship won't be damaged this time." Turles ordered his voice with a dangerous edge to it since he now lacked his two mechanics.
"Yes Sir." Both replied immediately before taking the rookie assigned to them and launching into the air.
"What about us sir?" Raditz asked confused.
"I have something special planned for you two, just be patient Cousin." Turles said with a light chuckle that told Raditz his day was not going to be a fun one.
Less than 10 minutes later the entire planet shook as the trunk of the galaxies largest tree shot into the air somewhere far in the distance.
Gohan and Raditz's eyes were wide with shock, it was the first time they had ever seen such an impressive sight as the wall of biomass now spreading across the planet.
In a flash Turles disappeared from their sight, catching one of the many massive roots, shooting out of the forest faster than either of them could react to, in a massive bear hug, his entire body straining under the weight. "Damn it, I told them to be careful about how they planted the damn tree." Turles growled as he threw the mountain sized root onto a different path.
As soon as the tree stopped growing Turles took to the air without saying a word. Both of the other Saiyan warriors quickly shook off their stupor and followed their agitated leader, too speechless by the incredible speed with which the Tree of Might's roots apparently grew. If Turles hadn't been with them they and the ship would've been flattened by the surprise attack.
After a few minutes of flying, both Gohan and Raditz were shocked for an entirely different reason, their powers had both shot up substantially, enabling them to keep up with the still irritated Turles who was not going as slow as he usually did for their sake.
When they arrived Turles was already tearing into his new second and third in command for their carelessness. As soon as he had finished his speech by declaring neither of the two warriors would be guaranteed a single fruit from this world.
After taking a minute to compose himself Turles turned back to Raditz and Gohan, "Alright boys your turn. Raditz I want you to bring me the heads of 100 of the natives from that direction as fast as you can. Also find us something big to eat for our desert." Turles ordered with a smirk at Raditz's immediate "Yes sir." before turning to Gohan. "You on the other hand will have the important job of guarding the Tree of Might. If anyone or anything besides one of us gets within the clearing you are to kill them immediately, got it?" Turles asked looking for any signs of hesitation on Gohan's part.
Gohan looked to the ground for a half a second as if he was steeling his nerves, 'I have to do this to get stronger.' He told himself before looking Turles straight in the eyes a look of utmost determination on his face. "Yes sir." He replied as bravely as he could salute and all, causing Turles to stifle a laugh. "Glad to hear it kid. Alright everyone else let's get moving." Turles suddenly ordered as he took to the sky in one direction as Raditz shot blasted off in the opposite direction leaving Gohan alone.
A short distance away the group came to a stop just out of Gohan's sight. "Now let's see whether that brat and my soft Cousin have any Saiyan honor in them after all." Turles said with a smirk knowing what would be coming soon.
It was quiet for the first half hour, as the plant life immediately around the giant tree began to wither and die, their life forces draining away into the Tree of Might's massive roots.
Gohan was beginning to lose focus, his mind wondering to what sort of animals used to live in the forest he was currently watching over the destruction of, when he suddenly heard rustling in the rapidly paling leaves.
Quickly the Saiyan child jumped to his feet, unsure of what was coming his way.
A small blue alien emerged, followed by another. Within a few seconds dozens had hopped through the bushes looking intently at Gohan and the massive tree.
Gohan looked at them with childlike wonder. They reminded him of rabbits from his homeworld standing on their hind feet with tiny hands waving back and forth, as the chirped back and forth to one another.
One of the small creatures tentative walked up to the small child, looking back over its shoulder at the rest of its clan before finally sniffing Gohan much to his surprise. When Gohan didn't attack it hurried back to its group and started the conversation again.
Finally the conversation concluded as the creatures lined up and before Gohan could react the creatures rushed forward past the limit Turles had given him.
"Wait! No go back go away!" Gohan called to innocent looking creatures that bolted past him as they began their desperate attempt to dig under and topple the monstrosity that was killing their home.
"The kid's a damn disgrace. What the hell is he doing?" Turles mumbled shocked as the child tried to pry the small, furry, natives from the Tree of Might's roots.
"If he doesn't get his shit together soon, I might have to step in and give the kid a lesson on how to actually be a Saiyan Warrior... If it isn't too late for him already."
Gohan was frantic. If he couldn't get the creatures to leave the Tree alone and go home he would have to follow Turles order and kill them. Just the thought of it made him sick, it wasn't like the times he killed Planet Trade Soldiers, killing these small creatures; who were just trying to save their home felt wrong.
His hand tightened into a fist, they were going to die either way, Gohan just didn't want to see it happen, he didn't even want to think about it, let alone be their executioner. Tears welled up in the child's eyes. 'I've gotta do this...I've got to get stronger, so I never have to do this again.' He began to grind his teeth. Wishing Vegeta's, or even his uncle's speech, could just play through his mind and whisk away this horrible feeling eating away in the pit of his stomach.
A memory of his mother's face flashed before his eyes, followed by his father's grin, Shizen his mentor, and the rest of his crew. He had lost them all because he was too weak to save them. His eyes flew open a fire burning in them like never before mixing with the tears streaming down his face as two small blast formed in his hands. "I'm Sorry!" The child roared as he unleashed a ferocious barrage at the tiny blue fluff-balls trying desperately to save their homes.
Tiny shrieks rang out as each creature was vaporized in an instant, leaving behind nothing but ash.
Gohan just stared at the scorch marks he had caused for a moment before dropping to his knees and staring at the ground tears streaming down his face. 'I...I killed them...' Gohan's mind felt sluggish, he had killed hundreds of the monsters employed by the Planet Trade willingly before, he had unwillingly killed many more on that far away planet with his uncle a year ago, but this time was different. The tears slowly drained away,
'I don't deserve to be able to cry for them.' Gohan thought to himself. He knew he was a monster like the others now, but it didn't matter, he couldn't look back at what he had done, he could only get strong enough that he would never have to do it again.
Slowly he rose to his feet, wiping the tears from his eyes and began to stand watch over the source of his hope once more.
(Across the Galaxy)
Goku rose early as always to begin his training, hastily putting on his clothes from his and Chi Chi's reunion from the night before.
His wife had already gone to the kitchen to prepare her first Saiyan sized breakfast in over 2 years so they would have plenty of energy for their training. At some point later in the day Bulma was supposed to bring Lime, Trunks, and Videl so they could begin their training as well; and knowing Piccolo the Namekian warrior had spent the entire night meditating trying to get a better handle on his new found power.
Goku could hardly wait to have his rematch with Piccolo, with his weighted clothing in place the Saiyan warrior rushed to the kitchen to get his day under way.
The valley around Mt. Paizo echoed with the sound of thunder, though not from a storm. The Earth-shaking force was from the three way battle going on in the skies above the picturesque valley as Piccolo squared off against Goku and Chi Chi at the same time.
The battle was just reaching its crescendo; as Chi Chi was double-ax handled into the ground.
Goku flared his Super Saiyan aura to even higher heights as Piccolo was suddenly free to focus on just one opponent once more. Goku rushed forward trying to take the initiative, but A green fist came lashing in at his face faster than Goku could hope to dodge, sending the orange clad super Saiyan spiraling back, only to meet with a knee to his kidney.
Goku let out a gagged sound as his yell was cut off by Piccolo wrapping his arm around his throat, and turned the pair into a straight nose dive.
Goku struggled with all of his might, but was rapidly losing consciousness as his air was further constricted.
At the last second Piccolo pulled away, leaving Goku no time to avoid hitting the ground at mind numbing speeds.
Piccolo's laughter filled the air as Goku silently laid still, his golden hair already having lost its radiance. The faint movement of his chest the only sign left that he was alive.
Piccolo landed an actual smile on his face, and a feeling of accomplishment in his heart as he looked at his defeated rival. He slowly broke into a quiet laughter, 'I finally did it, I fulfilled the reason that half of me was born for to begin with. I can end Goku's life with one more blow.' The fused Namekian thought, knowing there was a time his former self would've done exactly that without a second's hesitation. But that was in the past, he no longer had the desire to kill his greatest rival, only to surpass him in every way possible.
After imprinting the image of the cratered Goku into his memories one last time he split into two halves and immediately restarted his training, knowing Goku could get himself and his wife healed whenever he awoke.
It had only taken a few hours for the Tree of Might to render the once lush, beautiful planet they now stood on, to nothing but a barren wasteland. Several more waves of the small creatures had attempted desperate plans to eliminate both him and the Tree of Might, but they had all failed miserably, the creatures were simply too weak to have even been a threat to begin with.
Gohan looked over the planet one last time before pushing any further thoughts of the planet out of his mind. He couldn't afford to look back, only forward to the day where he could be powerful enough that none of this would be necessary.
It only took the child a moment to join the other fighters, back from whatever their various missions were, now lounging around the canopy.
Turles was the only one to take notice of Gohan's arrival, a mischievous glint in his eye. "Now that everyone's here, I propose we play a game." The Saiyan Warrior ordered more than suggested.
Gohan's interest was immediately piqued, "Game?" his focus from earlier completely vanishing as Diaz and Cacao chuckled in the distance.
"Yeah, a wager of sorts." Turles said with a grin that sent shivers down Raditz's spine. His cousin was planning something. "I was thinking we could have a squad wide free-for-all, with the winner taking all of the losers' shares of fruit just this one time. Naturally I won't be competing since none of you could hope to beat me right now. I'll even make a concession for our new members, Raditz and Gohan can keep their shares even if they lose." Turles added much to Raditz's and Gohan's reliefs, the two Saiyans knew they were outmatched, the only boost they could've hoped for besides the fruit was the zenkai they would likely have to endure.
"Well there's no reason for me to compete either." Pyros growled sitting a short distance away, his fruitless probation continuing.
"That's not true, if you win your debt to me will be forgiven, and you will be able to take your share starting on our next raid." Turles said with a smirk, knowing if Pyros won, he, himself would be the actual recipient of the lion's share of the fruit. He might even end up stronger than Frieza was by the time the night is over.
It was a unanimous agreement among the crew as Turles led them to the battlefield he had prepared earlier that day while his men were out on their various tasks.
"Alright boys, take your places." Turles said a look of excitement on his face, it had been a long time since he had been able to watch an actual good fight.
Raditz realized there was only one chance for him to win, "Brat, don't go rushing in." Raditz warned, his voice barely above a whisper. "Let the others do our work for us." He continued to caution before walking away to take his corner of the field.
Gohan didn't know what to make of his Uncle's suggestion but decided there was no harm in taking it, he probably wouldn't be able to beat anyone else anyway.
As soon as Turles started the fight, the entire area shook as all three fighters phased into a blur and collided in the middle. Cacao and Diaz's fists colliding completely even, only for both fighters to be knocked back into the ground by a double clothesline by Pyros.
As soon as the biotech hybrid hit the ground, Cacao unleashed a flurry of small but powerful missiles back up at his attacker, as if the attack itself had been nothing more than an inconvenience.
As soon as the former General unleashed a counter flurry of blasts detonating all of the attacks, he was stuck by an ax-handle, as the now bloodied Diaz attacked from behind.
Without speaking both Diaz and Cacao had been able to coordinate their attacks perfectly, and had already seemingly agreed to keep their unofficial alliance going at least until the biggest threat was eliminated.
Gohan and Raditz could barely follow the back and forth battle enveloping the entire area, huge craters would appear in the ground with only a fraction of a second of warning as blasts, mixed with bodies launched towards the ground well above the normal speeds of meteors. One thing was clear though, Pyros seemingly held the advantage in power, even over the likes of Cacao and Diaz.
Diaz rushed forward hoping to get the drop on Pyros at least one more time as he channeled nearly all of his remaining strength into his fist, he knew the odds of winning were looking dire, but if he could just land this hit, Cacao might be able to buy him enough time to recover.
Just as the former Prince began to swing his arm forward though, his face jerked violently backwards as Pyros buried his elbow in his face, leaving Diaz to helplessly fall back towards the ground, his eyes already rolled back into his head.
Pyros, let a bloody grin cross his face, as he buried his fist in Cacao's nanotech encrusted stomach. The creature beneath let out a groan as the air was forced from his lungs; an instant later his body went lax, slumping over Pyros's fist, before sliding off and towards the ground.
Pyros barely hesitated a moment before turning his eyes on the two stunned Saiyans waiting on the ground. Slowly he descended, landing in front of the duo whose pitiful defenses were raised, a look of fear and uncertainty in each of their eyes.
"Well boys, just like the good old times. Now just stay still, I'll make sure this isn't too painful." The sadistic look on their former commander's face told each of them that what he had just said was nothing more than a lie.
Gohan felt his anger rise up inside of him, he hated Pyros more than all but a few creatures in existence. Just the sight of him made his blood boil; he would like nothing more than to punish the man who put him so much pain back when he worked under Shizen.
"Well let's get started." In an instant Pyros slammed his fist into Raditz's face just soft enough to keep the Saiyan warrior conscious. Immediately afterwards he stomped down and snapped Raditz's leg just above the ankle.
Raditz let out a yelp of agony but it was silenced almost immediately as Pyros's hand clamped down on Raditz's throat. "You know I still haven't forgotten about you telling Turles to kill me off instead of that fucking little pest of a commander of yours." Pyros growled completely forgetting Gohan's existence for a minute.
Gohan's eyes were wide as Pyros began his torture of his uncle, his rage on the verge of boiling over. The half-breed child snapped though the same instant Pyros dared insult Shizen. "ARRRRHHHH!" Gohan's animalistic scream shook the landscape. His rational mind vanishing in a fit of rage.
"80,000?" Turles' eyes were wide with shock, as he unintentionally muttered to himself. 'The kid's power is growing faster than I ever imagined possible. He's only had 1 fruit, hell even with the zenkai he shouldn't be this strong.' Turles mind was racing as he tried to understand the number sitting in the middle of his vision.
In a fraction of an instant he knew Pyros would be eviscerated if he didn't act. Turles' hand snatched one of the Tree of Might fruits and took a bite out of it while flying as fast as he could at his current level of strength, the boost in power came when he was about a quarter of the way to the child. He was fully aware there was no guarantee he would reach the child in time.
Pyros was slowly becoming aware that he had made what was likely the biggest mistake of his life the instant the child's scream emitted enough power to force his body backwards. It was as if a hurricane of untapped power had just been awaked, the same power that had caused him to spare the child to begin with, only this time the quantity being released couldn't even be compared to the first.
Pyros's eyes widened as he saw power swirling around child's tiny, body without a doubt the child was going for the kill if he attacked. 'What set him off?' Pyros thought to himself as he numbly dropped Raditz from his grip, part way considering the damage he had done to the child's uncle being the cause.
His attempt at appeasing Gohan didn't seem to work as the child's body suddenly seemed transparent, obviously becoming nothing more than an afterimage. There was no hope of blocking the attack, at the short distance separating them the idea of blocking the attack wouldn't even reach his arms before the attack would connect.
The world exploded around Pyros as he was sent flying hit by a force beyond his wildest imagination.
Slowly he looked up from his laying position, surprised he was still alive to see Turles standing between him, and the diminutive monster that had just been unleashed on him.
"Gohan stand down!" Turles ordered, his arm straining against the force the child was still generating.
"NO!" Gohan shouted still lost in rage.
Turles was about to go on the offensive, and hopefully punish the child for his impressive display of insolence.
Suddenly all of the child's strength vanished as quickly as it began, as the child dropped to the ground completely helpless.
"Please...forgive him...sir...he got...carried away…" Raditz gasped from the ground, his hand tightly squeezing the stunned Gohan's tail.
Turles looked down at the pair his expression impossible to read. "Fine, the kid wins this little tournament, but as punishment he loses his prize. Each of you can keep the 1 fruit a piece I promised you, the rest are mine." Turles ordered before turning and floating up to the tree to begin the harvest.
Raditz let out a sigh of relief, if that fight had gone on, there was a chance that Gohan would push Turles too far and get himself killed. The one thing in the universe he had been charged with avoiding at all costs.
"Damn it brat, learn to control that temper of yours sometime." Raditz snarled quietly as he weakly forced himself to his feet. Pyros still laying on the ground shaking from a mixture of shock and rage from what had just transpired.
Raditz didn't even bother to give him another look though, he could already feel the burning hatred directed at both him and Gohan. 'Hopefully this fruit helps close the gap, I'm starting to get tired of playing catch up to assholes like him.'
Turles watched both Gohan and Raditz closely as they ate their respective fruits, both received a large power up, especially Raditz who also received a zenkai for his trouble. 'This isn't adding up...how does rage raise Gohan's power so much? He was over four times as strong as he is even after eating that last fruit.' Turles thought to himself as he absent mindedly ate fruit after fruit, barely noticing the power up he received with eat passing bite.
It wasn't until his musing had passed and he had stood up to return to his ship that he noticed how light his body felt, as if it was made of nothing more than air, it was then that Turles noticed that he had just eaten all eight Tree of Might fruits in one sitting.
"Raditz, give me an update on my current power level." He ordered with a look of anticipation, before powering up, the aura billowing off of his body unlike anything Raditz had seen before.
The numbers rushing past the long-haired Saiyan gave him goose bumps. 'He's over 100,000!' He thought as the numbers only accelerated from there. A few seconds later Raditz's scouter cracked and shattered. Raditz didn't even flinch when it happened though, his entire body was frozen in shock.
"Well what was the last reading?" Turles asked knowing he was only 90% of the way powered up.
"One-hundred...One-hundred and sixty thousand…" Raditz managed to say still not believing the numbers that had flown past his eyes.
"Ha...Ha Ha Ha...HA HA HA HA!" Turles' laugh burst out, a mad cackle as the realization hit him. "I'm stronger than that monster Ginyu! I'm stronger than almost everyone in the universe!" He shouted to the heavens.
"Raditz, Gohan grab the others and get them to the tanks, we're leaving immediately." Turles ordered, every muscle in his body begging for a real test of the power now flowing through his veins. He knew the only creatures in the universe that could hope to challenge him at this point were the elite shock troops of the Planet Trade, and at this point most of them wouldn't stand a chance against him.
"Yes sir..." Raditz replied "Uh...where are we going?" he couldn't help but ask. It was obvious the feast he had been ordered to prepare them all while the fruit developed was nothing but an afterthought to his Cousin now.
"Where else, to Cooler Planet 69, the smug bastard's own private resort world." Turles confidently declared a mad look in his eyes before rushing back to the ship, eager to get a move on, on setting his plan to rule the universe in motion.
It had only taken a few hours for Dr. Gero's numerous data collectors to locate the secret base of one of the few scientists he could consider a contemporary, Dr. Wheelo. With a little bit of research he had discovered the fate of the doctor and the lengths his loyal assistant Dr. Kochin had gone to, to keep him alive.
A few more painstaking hours was all it took for Dr. Gero to come up with an offer his fellow scientists would be unable to refuse, the perfect host for the now body-less genius.
Slowly Dr. Gero, with his three mechanical body guards made their way across the icy plains surrounding the entryway to Wheelo's chamber. They had only made it a third of the way across when the first of the elaborate defenses arranged were activated. Dr. Gero's eyes momentarily went wide as the ice beneath his feet suddenly shattered. The Mad Scientist barely fell a foot before the reassuring arms of Android 13 wrapped around him lifting the elderly human into the air. Android 14 was already high in the air protecting the package he had been entrusted as three large, grotesque creatures leapt from the ice. One orange, one green, and one pink rushed into the air seemingly thinking they had an advantage in this situation. In a matter of seconds though it was proven that their assumption was wrong as Android 15 defeated each of them with a simple tap to the back of their heads.
"Thank you my creations for your exemplary work. Now then shall we continue?" Dr. Gero ordered as the group continued towards the icy entrance.
"That power...to be able to defeat Kishime, Misokatsun, and Ebifurya in a single instant…" Kochin muttered to himself eyes wide as the strange group continued to make their way into their base.
"That is the body I require, its might shall allow me to rule the world." Dr. Wheelo's mechanical voice sounded from somewhere in the distance as his brain was stimulated by the images flowing from the security cameras.
"Yes Dr. Wheelo, I shall think of a way of ensnaring them, and then we can determine which body will suit your needs the best." Kochin replied instantly as he began to move his other Bio-men into position for another ambush.
It only took 15 minutes for Android 15 to finish clearing through the debris that his esteemed colleagues had sent against him. Although the creatures paled in comparison to his Android Creations, he had to admit they could've proved useful in a fight against Goku and his allies just a few years ago.
Standing in the distance Kochin was trembling with fear before his might, the way it should be. "Hello there Doctors Wheelo and Kochin. I am Dr. Gero, I am pleased to finally make your acquaintances." Dr. Gero politely announced. "I am sure you are wondering why I felt it necessary to make this trek to meet you, all will be revealed shortly. But I think you will like the offer I have prepared for you." Gero's eyes had a mad glint in them as he prepared for negotiations.
Hey everyone, I hope you enjoyed the latest chapter. It is the first of the more evenly split chapters we will have for awhile. I know it has been awhile since the last update, so I thank everyone who is sticking with the story through this hectic time for me. I unfortunately don't see updates coming any faster than they have been the last two chapters for at least another month or two.
This A/N is going to be fairly short, I have a big test I have to study for coming up and I am trying to finish this up before I really have to start hitting the books.
If anyone sees any major issues with this chapter please let me know, I cranked most of it out this weekend so it feels kinda rushed to me, so I am kinda nervous about the quality but I felt like I needed to get it up since everyone has been so patient waiting for it.
Since I haven't given everyone a power level chart in a while I figured some of you might be interested in where everyone stands.

Reviews:
Luke - Glad to see you are back! Thank you for another piece of perfection!
Glad you enjoyed the chapter, I hope you enjoyed the latest chapter as much as the last one :)
Jhotenko - Very nice update, well worth the wait.
This trunks, once he pulls himself together is going to become one heck of an avenging warrior. Cannon trunks lost his mentor and big brother figure Gohan, but your Trunks lost his only family in a horrific way. I'm picturing him training with the fervor of canon Goten and Trunks after Buu kills and eats their mothers.
I get that you want to expand on the future timeline. You don't go into too much detail in this chapter. I do think you did a fine job of showing how dark the future timeline is, especially with that final scene where Bulma is engulfed by flame.
As always, I look forward to your next update, whenever it may be.
Glad you enjoyed the last chapter, and the portrayal of Trunks and the future time line. It's it seems like I was able to portray the potential changes to Trunk's personality that his specific future could cause him. It is also good that it seems like I portrayed the darkness of the future as well.
RKF22 - Nice work really hoping Gohan doesn't get weak in the future
No worries about Gohan getting weak, it is onwards and upwards from here ;)
Simgr101 - well pleased to see he has finally arrived cooler. pleased he isnt the movie version either pointlessly going for revenge when the entire universe has been handed to him on a sliver platter. i wonder if he'll meet up with gero cause adapting android tech to his forces to make them super saiyan level and possibly to himself would make him a credible threat. whether he even decides to attack earth or not
Yup, it would be pointless for Cooler to go to Earth without a good reason. He does have a throne to try and take for himself after all, and a galactic wide enterprise he has to try and manage. But you know there are always complications when going through a regime change. Also you can never rule out Cooler ending up on Earth at some point. At this point Cooler can easily take even Piccolo (the current strongest Z-fighter) one on one.
super mystic gohan - that wasn't a bad chapter some spelling mistakes. but it was good your vision off it was clear I like it this is probley one off your hardest chapter you write out maybe it might need twicks here and there but it was rather good to read. at first i thought the new monster was cooler but its an android but it cant be super 13 because he blue in the film. also i bet i can guess the strongest z fighter who died along with piccolo and also was this person stronger than both super sayien nappa and vegeta?
Glad to hear it ended up ok, I was pretty worried about it, as I am about this chapter. When I'm not writing a chapter every week I feel rusty. It was definitely one of the hardest I have written, but I am glad it sounds like my vision at least peaked through some. And thanks again for pointing out my mistake. And in case anyone else was wondering how strong the other future fighter is, they are stronger than any of the current Z-fighters.
calcu22 - And we get a peek into the future. I have to say, really enjoying the direction this story is going and I was facepalming at all the things Lime told them. Still we already knew who Trunks was so I bet you'll just make it up with more secrets.
Glad you are enjoying the direction of the story, and thanks for the review :). Lime was woefully under prepared for this mission as you can see, and her slip ups will definitely cause some drama in the coming chapters.
wheathermangohanssj4 - Okay didn't think it was possible but Lime is actually worse at using time travel to save the future then Trunks was.
I really didn't like the thing with Goku about Gohan. Goku is way too pessimistic. And his reasoning for not just continuing to search for Gohan Fly's in the face of why he didn't just wish him back with the Dragonballs. He needed to do it and he needed himself.
and all the bullshit that came out of his mouth just almost felt like it could translates to "The Author still wants to torture Gohan out in space, fuck anyone who thinks he was getting back anytime soon."
You can't keep pulling this shit. it's time for the Son Family reunion.
Papa Goku need's to prevent mama Chichi from killing uncle Raditz, while Second Cousin Turles accidentally get's into trouble because of his drinking problem.
and I'm not just saying this because I want resolution to it...I'm honestly scared about the type of boring clichéd badboy character you'll be tempted to turn him into if he doesn't get reunited with his father's, and it seems earth as a whole, positive influence soon.
Hey thanks of the Review and sorry this chapter upset you. It may seem like I'm just coming up with bullshit tropes to keep Gohan from his family but there is a plan. Everything that he has had happen to him in outer space is helping prepare him for a certain event that will be happening 'soon' I can't tell you exactly when but I will tell you the majority of the second half of the story he will be home. (We are nearly at the half-way point I had planned.)
As for the way Goku is acting, I was trying to show that he was starting to get beaten down by the effects of not finding his son for so long, especially since what Lime had said in one of the previous chapters made it sound as if he still hadn't found him after 3 years of searching before succumbing to the virus. Plus his being away from home almost ended in the Earth's destruction, it feels like he has failed his family again.
I'm not trying to be angst-y with this story, I really don't like those stories in general. Also I don't intend on Gohan being a generic 'bad-boy' character. He will go through some 'culture shock' when he gets back (Not for the first time in this story), but I think almost everyone will like the final product.
I know I've jerked everyone around a lot with the near misses between Gohan and rescue but I was trying to make sure everything was as realistic, and logical based on the characters involved, as I can make it.
I hope you will continue to follow the story, it might be frustrating for you for a little while longer but I think you will be happy with the end result. Thanks again for all the support you've given the story so far :)
Son of Whitebeard - Love the fruit name and cruel cold
Yeah i chuckled at Lime's name too. Every character needs to be named after something in the show I guess lol. And yeah Cold is a bit of a psycho lol, the apple didn't fall far from the tree.
guest 16 - im wondering is krillin and 18 going to have they same realtionship they had in canon?
but am gessing this is a spolier in your story?
Hey thanks for the review :). As for your question I can't go into much detail on that, all I can say is I generally don't change things unless I see something that has happened causing a ripple effect in the time line. I know that doesn't really answer your question and I'm sorry about it, but all will be revealed soon :)
Digitaldestiny360 - So Lime made it through 2 chapters before I realized it was LIME. Don't know why I didn't connect the dots. Must have been the military ranking. Anyways I don't usually advertise but I just started my own dbz fanfic and it'd be cool if you would take a look and tell me what you think
It kinda seems like several people haven't noticed it yet lol. I think you might be right about the military ranking being the cause lol ;).
Alright, that is all folks, hope everyone enjoyed the chapter, and I hope I can continue writing a story you all enjoy! :)
