Chapter 50: Civil War

Goku…I'm pregnant." Chi Chi said unsure how Goku was going to react.

Goku's face lit up as if he had been told he would be getting his favorite meal for dinner. Immediately he embraced his wife. "That's great Chi Chi. I-" The energy immediately drained from Goku's voice as the weight of reality hit him like the strongest of his foes. He could only think of one thing at that moment. 'Gohan.'

Slowly Goku let his grip slip and sat down next to his wife, his excitement quenched by his guilt.

"I know, I feel that way too." Chi Chi said knowing exactly how Goku himself was feeling. "We'll get it right this time, and then after we take care of these Androids we'll get Gohan back too and our family will be back together." She said with a surety she herself couldn't really feel. It seemed like there had been an endless series of set backs preventing their reuniting with their son. Who's to say Shenlong could even manage to find her son. She just couldn't stand to see Goku so down, so unlike the boy she fell in love with.

Her words that instantly revived Goku's spirits spirits though, as she had hoped they would. "You're right!" Goku declared. "Don't worry Chi Chi, I'm going to make sure the Androids are taken care of." Goku said before hurrying out the door intent on continuing his training through the night. He was determined to become even stronger so his new child, whoever they would be, would never be taken from him like Gohan was. It was the best way he could think of to make up for his shortcomings before, make sure he never came up short again.

"You did it Trunks!" Lime shouted unable to contain her excitement after Dende was able to awaken the previously badly beaten child.

"I did what?" Trunks asked confused as Lime hugged him tightly.

Nearby Videl looked on also confused about the whole situation.

Lime looked Trunks right in the eyes trying to figure out if he was trying to play some prank on her by playing dumb, but it appeared he honestly didn't remember.

"Wait...you mean you don't remember going Super Saiyan?" Lime asked.

"No I just remembering watching the fight and then waking up here." Trunks answers.

"Wait Trunks is a Saiyan?" Videl asked surprised.

Trunks sheepishly scratched the back of his head. "Uh, yeah partially." He managed to admit.

"Not just that but he's a Super Saiyan now!" Lime added with a proud smile and a tight hug.

"That's so cool!" Lime added a bright smile on her face. "But I'm still going to be stronger than you!" She added changing to a confident smirk that made Lime laugh at the mini version of her best friend.

"Hey we should get back anyway. We don't want General...I mean Chi Chi getting mad at us again." Lime said as the trio said goodbye to the Earth's guardian and took to the air.

Vegeta was furious not only had he been forced to realize the gap between himself and the low class Saiyan was even larger than he had thought, but he also had had to suffer the humiliation of nearly succumbing to an ambush. To add insult to injury he wasn't even allowed to execute his attacker. The whole situation was ludicrous, but there was something else bugging him.

"Nappa!" He suddenly shouted.

Nappa's mind was elsewhere brooding on the fact a child had attained the transformation every Saiyan dreamed about since they were children of their own. "Uh... sorry what do you need Vegeta?" Nappa hurriedly responded.

"Who was that other large power level during the fight, right before Kakarot teleported back over there?' Vegeta asked curious which Earthling could've possibly progressed so far in such a short amount of time. It was difficult to imagine that any of them could've even been close to his base form with their technique, let alone closing in on his Super Saiyan state.

Nappa was silent for a moment somewhat surprised that Vegeta brought up the same topic that had been on his mind the entire flight so far. "It was the kid, he somehow...well it appeared he somehow went Super Saiyan...That's what it looked like anyway, except his hair didn't change color." Nappa explained as Vegeta came to a halt midair.

"Is that so?" Vegeta's voice eerily calm, the only sign of his agitation was his tightening fists, for a moment before igniting his aura and continuing on his flight back to Capsule corp. Inside his mind trying to put it all together, it was obvious the child was a half-breed Saiyan too many things fit, his boost being half that of a Super Saiyan, the fact his transformation appeared incomplete based on Nappa's report. The only thing troubling him was that the child was able to unlock the transformation so young, something it took him 30 years to accomplish.

That same question was floating in Nappa's mind as well. He had been fighting for over 50 years and still hadn't unlocked the transformation, yet somehow some kid from the future is able to unlock it before he was even 10, it was ludicrous. There was something else he couldn't shake either, a near certainty he knew that boy's father. He certainly bore no resemblance to his own son Omato, nor did he look like Kakarot's brat. By process of elimination that left only one possible source, the Prince of all Saiyans. The two issues continued to bother the Saiyan General the entire flight back and well into the training session that followed.

(The next day a few light years away)

The bleak landscape around them was beginning to wear on the Galactic Emperor and they had barely been on the planet a day. The reddish sky and barren landscape made for a planet that he wasn't sure he could've even given away if this was a mission with the Planet Trade. The only reason he would've ever landed on such a planet was if they had been hired to destroy a race or if there was a being powerful enough to be considered a threat to the Planet Trade on the planet itself. Which in this case it appeared that the later of the two scenarios was true. It didn't change the fact he hated being trapped on this world instead of finally fulfilling his destiny.

His company wasn't the best either. So far the impressive Namekian warrior had spent the entirety of his time either fighting or meditating and the boredom was starting to get to Cooler.

Finally he decided to strike up a conversation just to pass the time until their next training bout. "So what was a warrior of your stature doing on such a backwater planet as that one?" He asked not able to think of anything else since all of his attempts to learn the 'Kaioken' had failed miserably so far.

"Hm." Piccolo smirked slightly at the description of the planet he found so vital to his existence. "It's complicated...simplest I can do is I've been on that world a long time in one form or another. The me I am now was born for two purposes to kill Goku and to fulfill my destiny and rule the planet."

The word destiny rang in Cooler's ears for a moment making his response slightly slower than usual. "So you failed in your first mission then?" Cooler asked noticing one of the Saiyans was called Goku.

"Yes I failed miserably in both instances." Piccolo replied even, "But I'm not that warrior anymore, that planet has an odd ability to allow you to be reborn in one form or another." Piccolo added before closing his eyes hoping to renew his mediation.

"But with power as grand as yours I'm sure you could've conquered other worlds. With your power you easily could've eliminated my brother by yourself, so why did you stay?" Cooler continued to press the subject.

"Yes but I don't care about other worlds, I don't even care about ruling the Earth anymore, only protecting it because ultimately it still is mine and defeating Goku as many times as possible." Piccolo said with a smirk thinking of his many victories since defeating King Cold.

Cooler looked at Piccolo with a look that could only be confusion allowing a silence to fall between them again. Immediately Piccolo closed his eyes and started to meditate once more.

Cooler though didn't want to return to the silence and immediately crushed Piccolo's hopes by continuing. "Do you want to know what my destiny has always been?" Cooler asked.

"No, I don't care." Piccolo muttered his irritation beginning to rise as Cooler continued anyway.

"My destiny is somewhat similar to yours, only on a grander scale, I was born to kill all of my siblings and then ultimately my father, proving my worth and allowing me to rule the entire universe." Cooler revealed hoping this information would pique the Namekian warrior's interest.

His reveal seemed to have the opposite effect on his training partner though as Piccolo stood up, "If you have strength to talk you have strength to train so let's get going." Piccolo said before floating into the air, much too Cooler's dismay. It began to sink in at that moment that his stay here was bound to be longest stay of his life.

Nappa hit the ground hard, his head spinning. He had let his concentration slip yet again.

"Nappa! If you're going to be useless then leave so I can get some real training done!" Vegeta ordered. The Saiyan Prince was entering his 52nd hour without sleep and it was starting to show.

"Vegeta I-" Nappa never got a chance to finish that sentence as he was violently thrown from the gravity chamber. "Go! Don't come back until you've become a Super Saiyan!" Vegeta ordered before slamming the door.

Nappa laid on the ground for a moment before starting to rise just as he heard someone rapidly approaching.

"Finally! Hey Vegeta, how about you and me get something to ea-...damn it does he ever come out!" Bulma stomped her foot on the ground, while wearing her best dress. Unable to figure out what her future self saw in her other worldly guest.

Nappa stared on for a moment before putting two and two together. "So you're who Vegeta ends up with huh?" Nappa muttered just loud enough for Bulma to hear.

Immediately she froze realizing Nappa wasn't supposed to know that. "What me and Vegeta no way!" Bulma panically denied.

Nappa just laughed to himself. "We know the kid's part Saiyan. He went Super Saiyan yesterday I just assumed you were the most likely mother." he bluntly stated.

Before Bulma could respond Nappa lifted his massive frame into the air and took off across the planet at speeds that would put the fastest of hover-cars and hover-copters that Capsule Corp could churn out look like they were standing still.

It only took a short 10 minutes for Nappa to cross the planet at the leisurely pace he was moving, his mind still elsewhere, thinking about what he should say, what questions would get him the answers he needed the most. It was during his flight that it dawned on him he'd never even asked Vegeta the questions that were bubbling up in his mind.

Finally though his wait was over as he landed near the new makeshift training ground which apparently only had Kakarot, the half-blood and two of the humans using it at the moment.

"Hey Nappa! Did you come for some sparring too?" Goku asked a look of excitement on his face.

Part of the Saiyan General still couldn't believe he was the Saiyan to first unlock the transformation that had eluded his people for a millennia.

"Sure why not Kakarot." Nappa said with a big grin. "But first I have some questions for you and the kid." Nappa continued staring directly at Trunks.

Goku seemed surprised at the request but it didn't hesitant to agree. "Sure what do you need?"

"I need you to tell me how to become a Super Saiyan." There was a fiery determination in the General's eyes.

"Well I'll tell you what I can. When I first transformed it was like my anger at Frieza reached a point where I couldn't contain it any more. But with that anger there was this need for more power to stop him. And then after that it was like the dam broke and the next thing I know I'm a Super Saiyan." Goku finished as best he could.

Nappa immediately turned to Trunks to see if he could confirm Kakarot's description.

Trunks looked up at the giant and seemed somewhat nervous. A reaction Nappa was more than used to at this point.

Lime was watching him closely Trunks seemed to finally be coming out of the shock of losing everyone else in the future, in fact he had seemingly been adjusting to things better than Lime herself had before the fight. Since then though she could almost feel him regressing again, as if the emotional wounds had been torn wide open again during the fight.

"I...uh...I don't actually remember going Super Saiyan." Trunks managed to say before looking away. "I just remember being really angry and then the next thing I knew I was on the lookout." Trunks crudely explained, "I've been trying to do it again all day and I just can't"

Nappa had hoped for more, but decided it would have to do. "That's fine. Kakarot, I have one more favor to ask you. If you're helping the kid go Super Saiyan help me attain it too. I don't care how long it takes as long as I transform." Nappa said his voice bordering on pleading.

"Sure you're more than welcome to join in. With Piccolo gone it's been kind of quiet. Won't Vegeta be mad that you're training with us?" Goku asked concerned.

"I'm just holding him back at the moment." Nappa admitted, "So until I go Super Saiyan I'm training with you all." He declared.

It was only a matter of minutes before the Saiyan General and the Earth-born Saiyan were trading blows high in the sky while Lime lead the other group on the ground.

(2 weeks after Cooler's disappearance)

Chaos was the only way to describe the situation unfolding on the capital worlds of all three members of the Cold clan as at least 8 senior commanders had declared themselves the temporary, and likely permanent, new rulers of the Planet Trade Organization. The bodies of their underlings lined every hallway and were piled up in every corridor.

The time of struggle was at an end now though, at Frieza planet 3 it was anyway. Soon it would be on the other worlds as the most powerful non-missing members of the elite shock troops had arrived. Abo and Kado each were on par with the legendary Captain Ginyu before his abrupt disappearance, either alone capable of destroying worlds with minimal effort. Together though they were a whole level above them even, with a combined power level nearing a million.

There general announcement sent shockwaves throughout the galaxy, within days the combined forces of the Planet Trade had pledged themselves to their leadership.

The announcement was picked up even on a distant world in a far flung corner of the galaxy by a small band of the galaxies strongest warriors.

"Well, well, well isn't this my lucky day." Turles muttered to himself an actual grin stretching across his face for the first time in weeks as he watched a rapidly growing Tree of Might expand in the distance, from the roof of a soon to be destroyed central square.

It was on a whim he had even gone exploring on such a backwater world. But it had been weeks since they left a planet intact enough to access the latest galactic news so he decided to take a look ahead of time.

Immediately his hand flew to his scouter. "Ginyu report in." He ordered his new second in command who should be training Gohan and Raditz at the moment while his men plant the tree.

"I'm here Lord Turles." Ginyu responded immediately his voice clearly audible over the shrieks of the terrified natives who were rapidly becoming aware of the massive tree roots expanding out in all directions.

I've got some news I think you'll enjoy hearing, but I'll save that for later. Right now I want you to start researching worlds important enough to be named my capital. I have a very important announcement for the universe." Turles grin became predatory. It wouldn't be long now before he could officially begin his reign not just as King of all Saiyans, but also Emperor of the Universe.

After an only a few minutes of studying the galactic maps, there was only one planet in the region that fit the bill of what Turles had described, Planet Diplo, one of the richest planets in the galaxy. They had escaped the attention of the Planet Trade simply by paying off the Cold family personally.

Their days of neutrality was over though as a large ship cut through their atmosphere.

Security forces from across the capital rushed towards the intended landing site, just outside the Presidential Palace. Numbering in the hundreds by the time the ship actually landed.

"Come out with your hands up! You've violated Diplo restricted airspace." One of the captains shouted while he and his men pointed their blasters at the ship.

The door quickly opened revealing four figures that sent chills down their collective spines, the Ginyu Force.

"Ca-Captain Ginyu...what are you doing here? We've already paid you this year's commission." The Captain hurriedly explained true unadulterated fear filling his every fiber.

Ginyu sighed inwardly in disappointment at being unable to show off the new routine he and his men had been perfecting the last week. Turles' orders were always final.

"We're not here to collect. We're here with good news." Ginyu said putting on his best grin.

Somehow his smile caused even more fear to spread across the gathered security forces.

"Your planet has been chosen as my Lord's new Capital." Ginyu said before dramatically bowing towards the loading ramp as three figures made their way down.

It was clear to all who the commander of the group was by demeanor. Everything about him screamed danger to all those gathered.

"Let's get started." He said with a smirk.

The necessary setup for the galactic scale announcement was completed in a matter of hours. With a fine purple cape hanging from his shoulders. He was flanked both by the Ginyu force, and the last two of his Saiyan brethren in an obviously fearsome display.

"People of my new empire, I'm going to keep this announcement short because I am very busy. But I thought with so many pretenders claiming they will be ruling the galaxy I thought it important to introduce myself. My name is Turles, King of All Saiyans and the new rightful ruler of the galaxy. To the others who have claimed this title, if you bend your knee to me now I will spare you. To all others your days are numbered." His speech continued for a short while longer before the connection was cut and Turles got back to the important matters at hand, who he would kill first and what worlds he would seize to feed his growing power.

In a deep corner of space, a small satellite galaxy to the main galaxy two figures watched the declaration with utmost attention, the son more so than the father. "Kakarot?" His voice somewhat calm at first as he continued to stare at the screen. The next instant all sense of calm was shattered as the entire planet shook with his screams "KAKAROT!"

(Planet Frost 3 weeks after Cooler's disappearance)

Terror hung in the air of the once pristine world almost as thick as the ionized atoms filling its atmosphere.

All across the capital the rumble of combat echoed as the most powerful species in the galaxy tore itself apart.

The death toll for the one week civil war was already in the hundreds of thousands as the most powerful families attempted to exterminate their rivals without hesitation.

The royal palace that had held many generations of the planet's most powerful line lay in complete ruins. The supposed last member if this elite clan, Kuriza was dead. His head left on a pike in front of the ruins in a futile attempt by one noble family to stake their claim as the rightful successors.

For the lower classes there was nothing for them to do but to flee to the badlands on either end of the world and hope the fighting stayed centralized to the capital.

In the midst of it all though 2 nobles were hatching a plan that might finally bring order to the chaos.

"Are you sure Taiga can handle this mission Tundra? He isn't exactly an elite." A rather large, fourth form, Frost Demon asked his equally imposing counterpart.

"Yes the lesser species should be no trouble at all even for someone of his caliber. Besides, the few shock troops left between our houses are needed here Chiller." Tundra replied evenly. Knowing this alliance between their houses was tedious but necessary. Being the third and fourth most powerful families meant they had bore the brunt of the top two houses attentions in the opening hours of the conflict, before those two same houses began wiping each other out instead. It was fortunate Cooler had eliminated Frieza's mother, the indomitable Chill, ahead of time or the fight may've already been over between the two, and the alliance would've never gotten off the ground to begin with.

I'm officially declaring this chapter the opening Chapter of the Android arc! We made it through the wilderness everyone! I hope you enjoyed the ride. Now I know it was a short chapter this time, it was designed more to tie up loose ends and lay the ground work for some of the upcoming story lines in the arc. But the benefit of this chapter was there was a short wait time! So I hope everyone enjoyed that!

This might be me counting my chickens before they hatch but we are currently 1 review away from 400, so I wanted to give a special thank you to everyone who has been supporting the story and who've enjoyed the story so far. I remember back before i was writing, almost all of my favorite stories would stall in the mid-300s as authors lost interest. So I'm glad things have worked out so we were able to make it through that potential hiccup.

Reviews:

RKF22 - Excellent work cooler really isn't smart he still has quite a bit of enemies

Glad you enjoyed the chapter. Yeah Cooler is fairly smart he managed to stay alive where his father and brother did not. And he has a chance to learn Kaioken depending on his behavior. Will he actually last that long without blowing up a planet out of frustration? We'll have to wait and see.

Luke - Yay! It's a long wait, but well worth it! You can't rush a masterpiece...well, I guess you can, but it won't be as good if you do...probably...uhhmm, over analyzing here!

I'm trying, but I can't fault you on anything...maybe Vegeta would have been less reasonable, he did get shot from behind after all...that's all I can come up with for constructive criticism.

Loving where the story is going! Loving having Cooler on board (for now)! Loving waiting for the next chapter...wait, not 'loving', more like enduring! :)

Glad you enjoyed the chapter, hopefully this wait was more bearable than the previous one :).

Yeah I definitely can see Vegeta being less reasonable, i'll admit I kinda had to force that there due to an earlier change in the chapter. In my original plan for the chapter neither Goku or Vegeta were ambushed, so I didn't necessarily plan ahead for Vegeta's blind rage. So I did what any reasonable person would do, let Goku deal with it ;).

I hope you were loving this chapter too :).

Jhotenko - Happy belated birthday, and I hope things settle down for you.

Salza had no way of knowing, but he really screwed up when he nearly gave Chichi an abortion. Mother bears have nothing on Chichi when it comes to defending her babies.

Lime really can't blame herself for giving away the 'secret' of Trunks being a saiyan. The massive power boosting transformation, and the pretty golden aura is all but a dead giveaway.

At first I thought Trunks actually went super, but then I reread it. Regardless, perhaps the frustration of seeing a kid outstrip him will get Nappa to finally transform. It would kind of be like what led to canon Vegeta's transformation.

I should know by now to expect the unexpected from you, but sparing Cooler really came out of left field. I wasn't expecting that at all. Dropping him off on some empty planet as a training dummy for Piccolo was inspired though. Cooler is not going to enjoy his training.

As always, I look forward to your next post.

Thank you for the happy Birthday wish! Things do seem to be settling down some right now which was well needed.

Yeah Chi Chi in this universe would be even more protective given what happened to Gohan, plus she actually has Ki control. Not someone you'd want to meet in a dark alley if you were a threat to her kids.

Yeah Lime's character is a bit hard on herself just based on the fact she is still always comparing herself to who Future Videl was.

I was hoping people would be surprised by False Super Saiyan appearing in the chapter, an interesting subnote in the Super Saiyan lore.

In a way it is spurring Nappa to push for the transformation even ahrder than before, whether Goku will be able to actually help him or if a space odeseey is in his future is yet to be seen ;).

Cooler being spared is probably my biggest surprise I dropped on everyone since Nappa being spared, at least I feel like it was. But just know this wasn't something completely out of left field for me it has been in the works for some time now, since at least the start of the Namek saga when I really started planning out all the mini-arcs we just finished up.

Yeah Cooler isn't going to have a good time, even though he and Piccolo are on equal footing when both are at full strength Piccolo's tenacity is one of many things he'll have to adjust to.

Anonymous - Finallyyyyyy update

Been so long man
But hey migraines are no joke so it is totally understandable :P
The fight was pretty good, even though piccolo would initially start with more power due to kaioken, the technique's draining mech would ultimately sap his ki and leave him weaker
Also wasn't trunks too young to you know get that kind of power
I mean sure like canon he had been conceived after vegeta became a ssj but didn't seem possible but not that consequential
So Cooler has also been made part of the android resistance though if he will help actually is really debatable
Also vegeta being stronger than goku in base?
I mean goku has a far more challenging opponent, due to which his ssj form is challenged and beaten up too so it should amount to gains in base as well as ssj, shouldn't it? But well anyways the big bomb has been dropped by chi chi
Lets see how he reacts, maybe it'll give him a much higher drive to get even stronger, much faster to ensure his child is protected this time
Also wonder what Gero is up to, with his, well "New Comrades"
Hope you update soon

I'm sorry again for the long wait. You summed up the fight between the two pretty well, they are exactly what the other are going to need for training.

Trunk's didn't actually go Super Saiyan, only false Super Saiyan. He still doesn't meet the base strength requirements I've based my version of Super Saiyan on.

Goku has had a more challenging opponent but his gains have been coming mostly while a Super Saiyan as opposed in his base form. Each form can be trained separately, and training as a Super Saiyan is much more adventitious than otherwise. Vegeta on the other hand has been stuck only fighting Nappa and doing gravity training in his base form, leading to that form increasing while his Super Saiyan transformation lagged behind.

As for Dr. Gero, you know him. Scheming, plotting, building, just Gero things. ;)

Simgr101 - I loved how this fight went and damn you for fooling with the chapter title. I was praying Cooler wouldn't die and I kept thinking you would kill him off but here he is surviving. I wonder what he will bring to the table.

Glad you enjoyed the chapter. I wasn't sure how everyone would react to his survival but so far the reception has been positive. He'll definitely bring an interesting dynamic to the group. :)

super mystic gohan - so cooler the secret warrior that lime said about him and piccolo become the strongest aye aha like the fight a lot but if piccolo wasn't really worn out from training most off the day would he been able to finish cooler or would he have lost and like the fact they have to spend time on a planted together. also cooler seem pissed he gotta wait 2 years an 8 months aha and chi chi told goku she having a kid haha so funny

Glad you enjoyed it. Yes Cooler was the secret warrior, she was keeping it quiet because she wasn't sure how the Z fighters would react to the news. Piccolo is still the strongest, he was at full power though. Dende healed him when Vegeta and Goku got healed. So while he can go slightly above Cooler in strength his wears out much faster.

We may enjoy Cooler's suffering on his desert planet, but I can pretty much guarantee he won't :)

Yes it's time for Goku to crack the whip and really get to training even harder than before.

chris2828 - I've gotten to chapter 24 of this story and I must say I am disappointed in the way you have let down gohan. In the anime he was literally hundreds of times stronger then he is in this story, he hasn't even made it past 200. For a story that's supposed to be about him you have featured him less then any other character in this story, I want to keep reading but I'm afraid of what you will do to his character, so this is where I get off.

Answered via PM. I do hope you ended up changing you mind about abandoning the story :)

wheathermangohanssj4 - ...fuck you're making that baby a girl for no reason...damn it

after all that's the only way it can be Not Goten with the rules you established for Saiyain Genetics

You cannont surprise people with this, it's either a boy and you admit it's Goten, or it's a girl and you should just come out with it already...altough I hope it isn't giving an established charecter that already has kids more kids is just asking for trouble.

then again there is the chance of a misscarage...but that would just be a dick move on your part and Haven't you tourtured Chi-chi enough by this point? I mean come on.

but that's more a review of the comment then the chapter, which is pretty decent...altough the fight with Cooler, and I actually mean cooler this time, well more the turnover felt a little rush...I honestly believe that Lime being there and telling them what they did in the future kinda ruied it for the most part, If mean if it wasn't limes idea, and it was activly Goku doing something smart in his own way, but still going with his desire to fight the androids.

I mean as a metphore I see goku and everone tyed to him. as goku makes desistions everyone gets pulled along, because it is in fact his story, but here though, everyone just seems to be minipulating the strings and Goku's just thier puppet.

I cannot comment on who the child will be. But yes those are the rules I laid out for Saiyan Children. All I can say is I hope you'll like the finished product in the end.

I'm glad you mostly enjoyed the fight. I do understand it could've come off as rushed, about two-thirds of the chapter was written in one sitting mostly because while I was having my migraines I got almost nothing done on the story and I felt bad having everyone wait as long as they had.

As for Lime's actions ruining things, what you described is actually how I had the chapter originally planned out, but due to some changes I made between my original planning of the chapter like 2 months ago and the day I did most of the writing I ended up making some changes that left me boxed in a corner in the options I had left to make sure the end result still worked out.

That's not a bad metaphor for how thing's have gone in the story. Goku in this universe is having a much harder time. He's experiencing true failure when things are important, something he never really experienced in the show.

Anyway I know it was a short chapter, more a collection of short stories more than anything, but I hope you enjoyed this latest chapter better.

JOEL - Amazing story!

Glad you've enjoyed it so far. I hope you continue to :)

Gremlinite (Chapter 7) - I'm on chapter 7, and I LOVE it. They character dynamics have had me giggling to myself and looking like a loon. Thank you for sharing. I love stories that grow the mythos of the DBZ universe and give new characters to interact. It's all written by now, but I hope there is a an end catharsis for the Son family (I'm a saaaaaap). Gohan goes too evil after kidnapped by Saiyans really get my goat. Cause those pure hearted Son genes have to survive! ChiChi, Piccolo, Yajirobe, even Raditz and Nappa - these character interactions! I'm glad I'm only a seventh of the way done. ;) It's really impressive that you've written such an epic. I'm excited! Don't let all my gushing go to your head. You've got to keep it up, hear me? :)

I'm glad you are enjoying the story so much. Those first 10 chapters were some of my favorite I've ever written. One of the main reasons I decided to write the story was to give some of the forgotten characters a more fair shake in the story even those from the original Dragon ball.

You'll have to wait and see about how things end up for the Son family, but I think everyone will enjoy it in the end.

Chapter 8 - This is like every saga combined in one jumbo saga. I'm so happy right now.

I didn't really realize it at the time, but you're right it kinda was a combination of all the sagas lol.

I hope you've decided to stick with the story and are continuing to enjoy it :)

San-chan and Chibi - I really love this story

I know it might be to soon for him to make an appearance but is Broly going to be included in this? Or will Raditz and Gohan run into him?

Ask and you shall recieve ;). But in all seriousness did you find my rough draft of this chapter? lol Good job predicting me. :) Thanks for the review by the way, hopefully you enjoyed this chapter as well.

Guest 124 - Wow Good chapter! Hey is anybody going to do fanart of this story because that be really cool, there some characters we don't know what look like. Also fanart of Raditz and Gohan's adventures ,and also Z-fighters story along the way it will be really. Awesome!

Thanks for the review! Glad you enjoyed the chapter, I hope you enjoyed this current one as well. Right now there are no active plans for any fan art. I tried drawing some of the characters one time, and well my artist skills are that of a unartistic 4th grader so... I did find a book on how to draw DBZ characters from my childhood that I never used recently though, so if I get a chance I might consider trying my luck with that book's help.

Anyway thanks again everyone for all the reviews. I hope you all enjoyed the chapter and are excited for the upcoming arc :) Till next time
