Chapter 14
When Emilia woke up the next morning, she was surprised to see herself naked under the blanket. She swiftly stood up from the bed with the blanket wrapped around her body and if she hadn't held on to the nightstand, she would've fallen down on the floor and exposed herself. As she regained her balance, she saw the clothes that she was wearing last night were scattered on the floor, along with Dean's. She ran to the bathroom and when she got in it, she discarded the blanket and put on a bathrobe. On her way out, she saw her reflection on the oval-shaped mirror above the sink. She walked towards it and she was horrified to see fresh hickeys on both sides of her neck. She suddenly felt sick as the torrid event that happened last night flashed behind her heavy eyes.
Instead of returning to the bedroom, Emilia locked the door and turned on the hot and cold faucet of the bathtub. When it was full, she stripped and got in the bathtub. She stayed still in the water for a while, just thinking while hugging her mildly numb legs and resting her chin on her trembling knees. She didn't know why she did what she did with Dean last night. She tried to think about how wrong it was and so against her belief, but when she remembered how good her made her feel and how gentle he was with her, she found it hard to think about the former. The warm water soothed her sore womanhood and her aching muscles. She washed herself with liquid soap and when her fingers turned wrinkly, she got out of the tub and got dressed in a plain black long-sleeved cotton shirt, dark blue skinny denim jeans, and peach-pink flats.
When Emilia got out of the bathroom, she saw Dean leaning against the wall beside the door. He smiled at her before hugging her.
"Good morning, love. Did you get a good sleep?"
Dean asked, running a hand through her wet hair. Emilia nodded, her face emotionless. He noticed it but he thought it was because she just woke up.
"Yeah."
Dean hugged her tighter but Emilia refused to hug him back. He scowled.
"What's the matter? I thought you had a good sleep?"
Emilia didn't wanted to look at Dean, so she kept her head down. Dean took his arms off her. She sighed.
"I did. It's about last night. It was a mistake, Dean."
An atomic bomb of anger went off inside of Dean. Before he even realized what he was doing, he was holding Emilia by the neck and he had her up against the wall. Her feet were a few inches off the floor and she was desperately trying to get his hand off her.
"How was it a mistake, huh?"
"De-Dean... you're… hurting me."
Emilia breathlessly said. Dean's hand on her neck constricted and she was gradually losing air. Dean dropped her when he heard a knock on the door. Emilia crawled to the nightstand even though she was extremely dizzy. She took her phone and saw that there was a text message from Daisy. She opened it as she took in deep breaths.
There's something you should know about Dean. Open your e-mail ASAP!
Emilia deleted the text message immediately and shoved her phone inside the right front pocket of her pants. She started coughing when Dean let Seth and Roman in. Seth and Roman looked at each other when they saw her and the clothes littering the floor. Both men were thinking of the same thing – what did Dean do to her this time?
When Seth and Roman sat on the sofa, Dean tried to help Emilia get up from the floor but she swatted his arms away. He fought the urge to wrap his hand around her neck once more.
"Pack your things. We're going to be on the road soon."
Emilia just nodded and then went into the bathroom, slamming the door shut before locking it. Dean exhaled and went to the sofa to sit between Seth and Roman. Seth cleared his throat to get rid of the awkward silence in the room.
"You two okay?"
"I don't want to talk about it."
The uncomfortable noiselessness returned. Dean stood up to pack his things while Seth and Roman remained on the sofa. Seth took the remote control of the television under the cushion and turned the TV on. Roman told him about a game that was on and Seth started switching the channels.
"We can't keep it a secret forever. She needs to know, Bas."
Daisy told her husband. She spoke so softly and always sounded so sweet, no matter what kind of conversation she's in or whatever she's talking about.
"But I don't want her to know. It'll destroy her like it did before. I can't let her go through it again. I can't watch her suffer again."
Sebastian closed his eyes briefly. Daisy rubbed the back of her neck.
"She's suffering right now. She asked for my help and I e-mailed her something, just to at least alleviate her a bit."
When Sebastian opened his blue eyes, tears poured out of them. He put his hands on Daisy's shoulders and looked into her eyes. Seeing him cry made Daisy want to cry too.
"We'll tell her everything, when the time is right."
Daisy didn't say a word; she just nodded. She took Sebastian's face in her little hands and wiped the tears off his face with her thumbs. They hugged each other and Daisy was hoping that when Sebastian and she finally tell Emilia what she needs to know, it wouldn't be too late.
Author's note: Sorry if this chapter is so short! I promise you that the next chapters will be longer than this. Anyway, I'm so excited for what's about to happen. Be prepared, that's all I can tell you, hahaha. I've got questions for you: what do you think of the story cover? Is it okay? And will you read an AU fic featuring Dean Ambrose and CM Punk? If you wanna answer those questions, leave a review; let me know what you think, what you wanna see, suggestions - basically anything, really. And again, thanks for the reviews, follows, and favorites! You are all amazing. - C x
