Chapter 63: The First Domino

Floating a few feet above the rubble, a green hand grabbed onto the handful of burnt beans, with careful precision he ran a lone fingernail along his side opening up a small layer of skin before dropping the beans in. Quickly the wound healed itself as if it was never there.

(A few moments later)

Goku gave one last look to the gathered fighters for any other objections before stepping forward and extending his hand, "Well it looks like we're going to believe you Cell. Let's defeat the Androids once and for all."

Cell extended his own hand grasping Goku's a genuine smile forming on his insect like face, "Yes together they will be defeated."

With one last nod to Krillin and the others Goku lifted off the ground and allowed Cell to lead the way as the 6 fighters began their hunt of the Androids.

"So how are you tracking the Androids?" Piccolo asked trying to get a better gauge on their new ally.

Cell was silent for a just noticeable pause as he weighed how much he should reveal before replying. "Dr. Gero's laboratory blocks all Ki from leaving. You wouldn't be able to find his lab or the hostages while inside. 17 and 18 left the lab. So you can track them by tracking the children." He explained.

"Why didn't you just mention that before?" Nappa practically yelled. He didn't like the games this creature was playing.

"Because I needed to go with you to confront the Androids, it is my destiny." Cell replied back evenly.

Krillin and Yamcha had continued to shift through the rubble after the others had left. Lime was still in bad shape, and it wouldn't hurt to find a few extra beans in case the others needed a boost.

"You know this whole situation sucks…" Yamcha grumbled. "We trained our asses off and we still can't even do anything." The former bandit grumbled just as he happened to find a mostly intact senzu bean.

"Look, I don't like this situation either. But we'd get in the way if we tried fighting them again." Krillin somberly admitted. He was surprised by how adamant the former bandit was

Yamcha's hands tightened into fists. "We should at least try. I mean if nothing else we can be on standby with a few of these senzu beans." He argued, as he pointed to the last couple of damaged beans they had found.

Krillin was silent for a moment, contemplating Yamcha's words. "You've got a point." He finally admitted.

"Then let's go." Yamcha encouraged his friend as Krillin finally caved.

"Alright, let's give Lime one of the senzus at least and let Tien know we're going at least." Krillin said as the two prepared for their self-made mission.

(In a field a few miles from Dr. Gero's lab)

The two hunters had long since lost the ability to struggle, or even stay conscious, their breathing was quickly coming to an end as well as 19 drained the last bits of their life energy.

The Android could only snicker as he dropped their bodies to the ground, they were nothing more than the first snacks to wet his endless appetite.

After examining the area around him once more he took to the air again, towards the nearest large gathering of power readings.

He had only made it a few miles before detecting a much more appetizing prize in the distance. A group of large power levels moving together. A sinister smile crossed across his face as he readjusted his route to intercept his new prey.

"What now?" 18 asked annoyed she was forced to carry one of the two half-Saiyan children.

"I guess we drop the kids off at a police station somewhere and then we're free to do whatever we want." 17 replied carrying Trunks extended out in front of him. Each trying to make sense of the other.

"Yeah I'm sure that'll go over real well. Here we found these kids." 18 replied rolling her eyes as the girl toddler began to squirm again.

"Well do you have any better-" 17 was about to respond to 18 but noticed the other member of their party lagging behind yet again. "Come on 16 we'll have all the time in the world to stare at birds but we've got some business to take care of first."

16 immediately began walking again, being careful to keep his hand movements to a minimum lest he disturb the small robin perched there.

A few hundred feet down the road the distant sound of an engine gave 17 a new idea. A few minutes later his target was in sight, a lone truck driving down the road.

15 minutes later the trio were equipped with a new set of wheels driving full speed down the road.

After a short airborne stint over one of the many hills 17 let out a yell, the two toddlers did as well as they felt a floating feeling in each of their stomachs. They both broke into a fit of laughter on 16's lap when they landed back on the ground.

"17 knock it off, if we get in a wreck you're going to deal with the crying kids not me." 18 ordered.

"You know you're no fun. Where's your sense of adventure?" 17 grumbled as he allowed the car to coast down to a more reasonable speed.

"There they are." Cell proclaimed his heart rate spiking with excitement as he and the Z fighters noticed a lone car speeding down the highway.

"I'll take care of this." Cooler announced as he dived down towards the speeding car.

Before any of the other fighters could object Cooler slammed into the surface a few dozen feet from the speeding car, a large amount of Ki already prepared in his hand.

Realization was just dawning on the surprised Androids' faces when Cooler unleashed a massive purple blast, completely swallowing the car in an instant.

"What the hell was that?" Piccolo shouted as he and the other fighters landed. Goku and Vegeta immediately transforming as the group all watched Cooler carefully.

A sudden voice called out, "You know I'm starting to think that Dr. Gero was right about you guys needing to be destroyed. Who the hell let's someone shoot at their own kids." 17 snarled, his sister held in his arms as they landed.

Behind 17, 18 glared daggers at the duo, even 16 looked furious as he continued to hold the two Saiyan children.

The two sides watched each other carefully. Waiting to see the other's next move when Goku suddenly stepped forward.

"Look if you'll give us Gota and Trunks we can-" Goku started to offer before being cut off.

"Why the hell would we give kids back to people working with that monster?" 17 snarled indicating Cell in the background, none of the Androids were sure how the creature had survived, but it was a problem they fully planned on resolving this time around.

"It should be no concern of yours who we choose to work with. He isn't even necessary for us to destroy you." Vegeta replied his super Saiyan aura suddenly flashing brightly, with Cooler and Nappa each following suit.

"I'd be more than happy to wipe that smug look off your face half-pint." 17 replied preparing to use his overdrive.

Goku was caught between wanting to give the Androids a chance since these were the ones that appeared somewhat open to his offer before, and preparing for the seemingly inevitable hostilities.

"17 stand back, I will handle this." 16 suddenly declared handing off the Saiyan children to 18 and stepping between the challengers and his brethren.

17 initially looked surprised before nodding. "Alright, do your thing big guy." 17 said as he stepped back.

"Well aren't you confident." Cooler taunted. Piccolo immediately moved to get in front of the others. Having gone up against this monster of an Android earlier he was well aware of its power.

Cooler was having none of it though surprising his Namekian ally with a swift shove, knocking him to the ground and making sure he was the first to rush, not to be outdone both Vegeta and Nappa rushed forward as well.

"No you fools!" Piccolo shouted, but it was too late, 16 had already activated his overdrive.

The three fighters appeared to at a near standstill as 16 appeared before them, and unleashed three instantaneous, vicious attacks.

Cooler's chest armor was immediately shattered, along with nearly the entirety of his rib cage from a combination knee strike to bend him over, and then ax-handling the Frost Demon back into the same knee again crushing bones.

Vegeta was next as the Saiyan Prince's eyes were just beginning to widen as he perceived 16 appearing in front of Cooler to his right. Soon the only thing the Saiyan Prince would see is black as 16's fist slammed into the side of his face, instantly cracking his skull.

Vegeta's hair immediately turned from golden to black before bouncing off the ground and rolling away, barely breathing.

Piccolo was just beginning to ignite his Kaioken aura desperate to intercept his super-charged nemesis when 16 struck the last of the fighters to blindly rush against him, with a spinning kick connecting just on the top of Nappa's shoulder and firing downwards the Android was able to turn the Saiyan giant's shoulder to dust in an instant. The force continued throughout his body fracturing ribs and completely pulverizing his internal organs. Finally his body twisted a full 180 degrees at the waist before collapsing with a blood filled scream to the ground.

Goku and Piccolo were shocked, completely unable to move, each just beginning to respond to the shocking scene before them.

Piccolo was the first to snap out of it as he refocused his mind igniting Kaioken times 3, any further and he wouldn't be able to hold it together for very long. It was now fully obvious to the Namekian warrior that 16 had been held back against him in their previous fight.

Krillin and Yamcha were about halfway to the other powers when without warning 3 instantaneously vanished.

It was shocking enough of a revelation to stop the two seasoned fighters in their tracks. Krillin and Yamcha looked at one another both beginning to shake slightly as they realized which three power levels just vanished.

"What in the world?" Yamcha managed to mumble his entire body feeling numb at that moment.

Krillin turned to him, "Come on we have to hurry."

Both powered up to their normal maximum and launched off towards the group, hoping they wouldn't be too late to save any of the injured.

Cell managed to keep himself from being surprised, he had already seen such a display when the three current titans of Dr. Gero's years of hard work had their civil war.

"Will that be enough of a demonstration that continuing this fight is useless? Allow me to terminate the one known as Cell and we will leave in peace." 16 announced.

"Look, we might not know Cell well. But we can't just let you kill him. I'm sorry no deal." Goku replied.

"Wait you're seriously going to defend that monster even over getting your kids back?" 17 stopped in his tracks and shouted incredulously.

"You sure know how to pick and choose which of Dr. Gero's Androids you want to destroy!" 18 added.

"What do you mean?" Goku asked genuinely confused.

Cell's heart rate had been slowly increasing throughout the entire conversation. "Don't let them distract you Goku, the creations of Gero will do anything in their power to divide us to make it easier to destroy us all." Cell pleaded, his voice full of desperation.

"Look 16 can take care of you all without us needing to help. What's the point in us lying?" 17 didn't take his eyes off Cell for a second, his lips curling into a snarl.

Piccolo wasn't sure about this situation, he didn't trust Cell, but the Androids were something that needed to be destroyed. With the likes of Cooler, and even Vegeta and Nappa around he had enough loose strings to worry about. He was sure Goku would insist on reviving the fallen fighters for their help. 'In the end it might be better to let them destroy each other.' Piccolo finally decided as the argument continued to escalate around him.

Goku though was less sure which course of action would be best. Something about Cell struck him the wrong way, and if the Androids really did want peace it might be worthwhile to hear them out. On the same note, three of his allies were just brutally struck down, he couldn't shake the feeling, based on what Trunks and Lime had mentioned about the future, that this was a trick to make them lower their guard and finish them off once and for all. Cell at the very least seemed to think so. Dr. Gero had proven to be a very dangerous opponent so far, even killing Dende when he wasn't a threat.

Cell's frustration finally seemed to boil over, "Fine I'll do it myself!" As he launched forward much like Cooler and the others had just moments before.

16 immediately launched into action, but before the giant's attack could connect it was intercepted by a green arm. Piccolo had decided to see what Cell could do.

17 braced himself, he knew he was more powerful than Cell, the problem would be if this unknown entity had any tricks he didn't know about.

Before Cell could cross half the distance towards the two Androids a new voice rang out though, "Destructo Disk!"

Shocked all eyes shifted to a nearby hillside as a yellow disk cut through the air.

Cell seemingly was frozen in place as the attack unexpectedly cut straight through his abdomen, cutting the bio-android clean in half.

His upper half continued on for a few more feet before dropping to the ground. As soon as he hit he began crawling towards the Androids.

While all other eyes were on Krillin who stared at Cell on the ground. Something about Cell had creeped him out from the beginning. He saw the way he watched the two Androids from the moment he landed, it was like a predator watching prey. Worse when he found out he was one of Dr. Gero's Androids, he realized how they couldn't trust him. Besides something about the idea of the blonde Android dying without at least hearing them out and giving them a chance didn't sit well with him.

17 and 18 each locked eyes with the bald human warrior who had apparently been hiding off in the bushes nearby, and then 17 gave him a nod. Without any further hesitation he charged up his signature attack. "Photon Flash!" A yellow attack connected with Cell's upper half completely vaporizing it upon detonation.

"Krillin?" Goku said completely shocked not sure what to do in the current situation.

"Sorry guys, I had to do it. Something about him just didn't feel right." Krillin and Yamcha made their way towards the others.

"That's extreme measures for a feeling." Piccolo growled.

"Good choice baldy." 17 said as they finally joined the group.

The seemingly twin androids exchanged a brief glance before 17 spoke again "I suppose we can trust you to take care of these two. You have a better head on your shoulders than these guys."

18 stepped forward and handed the two children to Krillin. "Careful now." She added with a slight smile before stepping back.

"Now then, are you still going to keep chasing us?" 18 asked her eyes instantly hardening.

"No I don't think-" Before Goku could finish his sentence something strange happened, a loud moist sound came from off from their side.

All eyes turned to see Cell standing before them once more, much to their collective shock.

Before anyone could react Cell was already shouting, "Solar Flare!" As a blinding light enveloped all present.

The situation had played out better than Cell could hope, had he not sensed the two humans hiding off to the side he wasn't sure how he was going to pull things off. One of them, Krillin, was already preparing an attack before he even launched forward. From there on it was a simple matter of making sure the attack hit the right spot. Severing his legs ended up working perfectly as his leg muscles were able to crush one of the senzu beans he had found on his way to meet the humans, providing his already impressive healing abilities a jump-start. Between the bean, and the zenkai he had received he was more powerful than ever.

All of the fighters around him were helpless as he expanded his tail, 18 was staggering blindly as 17 tried to guess which direction he was coming from, firing blasts randomly.

In an instant Cell was upon her, his tail making it more than halfway across her body in a fraction of a second. He had now entered the most dangerous time for himself, as 18 began to struggle more and more, trying to break his grip. Finally in a final act of desperation, she activated overdrive just as her feet were enveloped.

Cell had to fight the urge to scream in pain as he continued to focus on his task. Off to his left Goku and the others who could sense his power were beginning to look in his direction, he would only have seconds left.

Miraculously though a new voice rang out, one Cell would never have believed he would be excited to hear from. "Hehehe, power levels detected."

Piccolo and the others immediately looked around, concerned looks on their faces. The mighty struggle between Cell and his prey forgotten for the moment, as 19 dove on top of the nearest fighter to his position, Goku.

Piccolo immediately sensed Goku's power begin to shrink and ignited his kaioken, speeding the recovery of his eyes as he took off after 19, desperate not to let the deranged Android gather any more power.

16's eyes were finally clearing, just as 18 was finally pacified inside of himself and the transformation started.

17 and 16 were just finally beginning to be able to see again when the transformation started, but it was already too late to stop it as walls of energy began to flow outwards from Cell's flashing body.

Finally they were both forced to cover their eyes again, as Cell became bright enough that 19's grip on Goku finally let go as the broken machine covered its own eyes.

When the light had faded a new creature stood before them, one that looked much more human than the insect like creature that had stood there moments before.

'This isn't good...18 over did it with that last ditch attempt to activate overdrive...it's going to take time to heal this…' Cell thought to himself as the stunned Androids faced him down. At the moment his boost in power was but a shadow of what it could've been had his sister been fully healthy. Then again the chances of absorbing a healthy 18 were slim considering her upgrades.

With a quick bow Cell decided it was time to make his exit, unleashing a flurry of attacks into the ground between himself and his onlookers and taking off into the nearby forest, hoping his energy signature was low enough that it would be difficult to follow.

Without hesitation 16 and 17 took off after the beast determined to save 18.

With the momentary distraction gone 19 immediately lunged forward trying to gain a grip on Goku once more. Piccolo though was prepared this time. Powering up to Kaioken times 4 he was able to intercept the rogue Android's attack, gripping him on the wrist of his left arm, as he lashed out as quickly as possible with his other arm severing it right below the elbow.

19 staggered back stunned as Piccolo allowed himself to drop back to Kaioken times 2 for the moment, desperately trying to buy time for his burning muscles.

"Krillin, Yamcha if you have any beans, now would be the time to use them." He ordered before igniting his aura again and lunching after the suddenly defensive 19.

Goku was finally back on his feet, but with any luck it wouldn't be necessary for him or the other fighters to get involved again. It would be useful for their bodies to be out of his way so he could finish this fast.

Not wasting any more time Piccolo launched into his attack again. At times 4 he was able to move faster than the Android could follow, and appeared behind him before he had even realized he was moving again. Without hesitation he swung a single chop across 19's neck severing the Android's already heavily damaged head from his body, and then obliterated the undefended piece of metal an instant later with a simple Ki blast.

A moment after he was done the body collapsed on the ground and lay still.

"That...that was incredible." Yamcha finally managed as he helped the nearly dead Nappa chew the precious bean.

Almost immediately healing energy flowed through the Saiyan, and although it couldn't fully heal his extensive injuries, the worst of it was fixed, his spin had been reattached and his internal organs recovered. The fact he had survived such terrible injuries was a sheer matter of otherworldly will power and the hardiness of the Saiyan body than anything else. The energy from the damaged bean failed to fully repair his pulverized shoulder though.

Around him the other two injured fighters also rose to their feet, their bodies in similar states of partial repair.

"What happened? Did you managed to defeat them all?" Cooler asked as he looked around only seeing 19's parts.

"No, there were complications. 2 more Androids are gone, but we cannot trust Cell. I'll explain the rest after we get back to the lookout." Piccolo explained before lifting into the air.

"I have an idea I want to discuss with everyone once we get back as well." Goku said.

"Here Goku." Krillin said as he handed Gota over to her father and then joined the others in the air.

With that the entire group started on their way back to the lookout.

A few moments after the Z fighters left a new figure appeared. "It's disappointin that the head was destroyed, but I reckon I might be able to use this." 13 said as he reached down into 19's torso and pulled out his generator, As soon as it touched his torso the metal slowly began to fuse with his body. Deeper in was the tank holding all of the power the crazed android had gathered beyond his initial strength, unfortunately for 13 it wasn't a system he was compatible with. Still the added strength of another generator was welcomed as his body began to expand once more moving forward in his transformation.

"Don't worry Dr. Gero...I'll avenge ya."

Hey everyone, sorry for the delay, between my dog going missing and other things making my life busier I haven't had as much time as I did at the start of summer to write. Also having to rewrite significant portions of the chapter a few times because I frankly was not happy with the earlier results also slowed things down. I still think I could've done a better job at the chapter but I think I need to go ahead and move on instead of spinning my wheels here further. I have been trying my best and I do appreciate all the support, and hope everyone will continue to be patient in the future, not that I don't enjoy the extra reviews. Either way thank you everyone for the continued support. Hopefully this chapter isn't as rough as I am afraid it might be, I really did try my best on it. I've just had a rough last couple of weeks.

On a side note, I unfortunately was never able to locate my dog, I'm assuming the worst at this point. Thank you to everyone for the support.

Yes Taiga was a perfect new member of the team for a whole 5 minutes before Turles got what he needed ;)

In all likelihood Raditz would've almost outlived his worth at that point. Turles would've been reluctant to do it but he probably would be one more sneeze away from being beheaded after causing such a mess.

He remembers, but he isn't questioning it at the moment, he is savoring his victory.

The Lord of the Pies -

It's a similar theory to what I have been painting. I put the normal limit for growth in the 20-30 million range. After that the gains they receive start falling off rapidly. The Ancient Saiyans had much longer to evolve in a world where their neighbors were constantly getting stronger, so more and more of them could get into the millions achieving the necessary conditions for SSj. The modern Saiyans were not only the ancestors weakest of the Saiyan race to begin with, but I imagine planet Vegeta as a world barely able to support them, keeping them on the edge of starvation, further weakening them. When a transformation takes place though I also believe it raises the limits they can achieve at each lower stage.

So yes the tree of might does, in my opinion bypass it, it is just a very very slow way of going about getting stronger. Incredibly fast at the begining, but once you get into the millions range it doesn't do much for you.

Yoshi - So the strongest would be the head of either Frieza or Cooler's mother's families. Frieza's mom's dead was a major blow for her family, but she wasn't the only strong member of her family. They would each be around 100,000,000.

Yes Cepa's son has a very long history of fighting with the horrors, it's a mixed bag depending on which of them he is fighting at any given time.

Views and visitors are measured weirdly. I can't tell exactly how views are calculated. Visitors seem more straightforward that's why I put more weight in that measurement. It is just kinda a pain to tally up.

Tundra has not. He hasn't had a need to. Since his rank is a level below that of Cold's line picking a fight against a member of Cold's family would be suicidal. He has had family members fight against them though. In how i had it set up each of the major noble families have 1 member given as a mate to the current ruler, and given a chance to become the next king. So Tundra's line has had 2 relatives fight for the chance to be his heir, and both have died. The first at some point during the earlier part of Cold's reign in which he ended up killing his own heir extending his rule. The second likely died against either Cooler or Frieza at some point during the second contest.

I believe so. Especially if you consider Perfect Cell vs Super Perfect Cell.

Dragonmaster1296 - Yes he is trying hard to reinflate his ego after his recent beat down. I just didn't see much point dragging the fight out. Taiga was at an awkward level of strength being between Turles and the others in strength. He could mop the floor with any of them and was screwed fighting against Turles.

He would likely still end up in hell he didn't exactly have a pure rise to the top. Yeah we are making great progress. We are on our way to 1000 reviews, which a year ago I thought that was where I would end up at at the very end of the story. So it is really taking off. Thanks for the review :)

Yes Turles' got creative with his latest game.

Future Gohan I haven't given a whole lot of thought to since he hasn't appeared in the story. I would place him between Ascended Saiyan Vegeta and Full Power Ssj Goku during the Cell Saga.

Future Videl was nearly on par with the Generals, all of which with Kaioken were on par with or stronger than Frieza.

The threat has not appeared because the conditions were not met.

A few of them had been in hell over 1000 years. A couple more much longer than that.

I more or less have it all planned out. It started with 6 main points that really ignited the idea of the story. We covered the first few already, the Saiyan Saga, The fight with Cold, and The Future. Then I filled out several more major events that became the backbones for the major arcs. Then I fill those in when I get to each arc with more minor points and finally tie it all together when I get to a chapter.

George10 – Glad you are enjoying the story :), They do receive Zenkai's they do more than if the Saiyans haven't transformed, but not as much as they used to in earlier chapters.

Thank you for the review. For the first couple of years I kept it close to once every 2 weeks, the last year and a half my updates have had to slow down significantly because I just have a lot less time. So I get really antsy if I go a whole month without updating, but it varies significantly from under a week to more than a month. I try to stay close to 2-3 weeks though. Hopefully all the makes sense.

That was a long time ago, I've been looking back trying to find some of my old notes to give you what I had them pegged at. Unfortunately I made the mistake of putting them in a folder shared with gamerfreak102, and he seems to have deleted that folder sometime since then so all I can give are estimates and without rereading it all they are probably only somewhat accurate. I might raincheck it all actually if you really want to know I can try to give you a decent list next chapter.

I'm glad you've enjoyed the story so much J hopefully I can live up to your expectations in the future.

Maybe not the entire galaxy yet, but they are starting to run low on people who are actively opposing them. He is tracking, but his attention keeps getting split between Earth and the rest of the galaxy. He also had 3 trails of destruction to follow. Anyway everything is coming to a head soon in that department, so please stay tuned ;)

I unfortunately have been too busy for the last year and a half to stick to a consistent update schedule. I try my absolute best to keep the gaps from reaching a month, but I've had times where it has stretched to 2 months before. I have 0 plans to stop this fic though. I enjoy writing it too much.
