AN: Thanks for all who reviewed! We don't have much left until this fanfiction is completely finished! I may be making a sequel, of life in the smash mansion, or just continue on with this one.
Evening
"You're really leaving?" Ness gasps in disbelief.
Lucas nods. "I've decided to take a break from Smash. I'll probably come back next time."
"Lucas! I thought that you would still be participating in this tournament."
"But I wanted to go home and see Boney and our home world once again, so I spoke to Master Hand," Lucas looks at Ness solemnly.
Ness sighs. "This is good bye, then." He helps Lucas pack all of the belongings in his room.
Outside, all of the smashers say good bye to Lucas. They stand at the Smash gates. Many were sad that Lucas was going away.
Samus said to Zelda, "Lucas was a great fighter."
"Yeah. But he must be home sick."
"You should have stayed," Toon Link complained. "Well, I hope we can meet together soon."
Nana and Popo run up to Lucas. "Us too! Come back soon!"
The rest of the Smashers wave goodbye.
Lucas turns around, a ghost of a smile on his face, knowing that he had fooled his friends.
This will be the best prank ever! He almost laughs, but remembers to keep quiet. He boards the bus that has just stopped, steps in, and waves good bye. He sees that his friends seem to be upset from this.
Don't worry, I'm coming back! Lucas silently thinks.
Back at the Mansion…
The kids had all cheered up after Lucas's departure.
"Can't wait for the next film," Toon Link is next to the door. "But I'm still shocked that Lucas was leaving! He really surprised us." The others nod.
Master Hand opens the door. "I have the next film. Come on in and we'll get started!"
The film begins
The scene begins with a brown dog with black ears sniffing along the road. There is a tall tree to the left, and a bush to the right. Grass is in the background. It appeared to be a video game of some sort.
On the bottom of the screen, there is a score bar and other things. The middle box says 'hit' and there is a row of white shapes of bird like things alongside it, and some blue bars under it. There is another box that has 'R=1', and below that box, there is a box that is labeled 'Shot'. There are three bullets figures above the word.
The dog's nose twitches as it senses something.
Standing up, it barks and leaps into the grass. Soon enough, a green headed duck with a black body flies up, and someone shoots at it. The duck falls down into the grass, dead, and a 500 appears, adding to the score. In the 'Hit' box, one of the white duck shapes turns red.
The dogs holds up the dead duck, rising above the grass, before going down once more to find more ducks supposedly.
Then, another duck with a purple head and blue body flies up. The person shoots at it, but misses all three times. The sky suddenly turns some shade of pink and a box appears, saying 'Fly Away'.
The dog rises up from the grass and laughs. Then, the camera zooms closer to the dog, and the dog blinks two times. It looks to the right, where some other people are coming.
It was Mario, Samus, Pit, Link, Bowser, and Donkey Kong. They were pixilated to look as if they were in the older games. Mario holds out his hand and gestures for the dog to come with the group.
Then, Mario jumps, no longer a pixilated character. Everything looks clearer. Meanwhile, the others in the group land on the ground, and they are no longer pixilated either.
The camera moves towards the grass, which is rustling. Eventually, something (the dog) leaps out of the grass and lands, facing away from the camera. A purple-headed duck, the same one as seen before, but not pixilated, flies and lands on the dog's back. They both turn around to face the camera.
Duck Hunt Takes Aim! The splash art reads, while the words seem to shoot right into the duo.
The music starts as the duo jump into pixilated grass of a battlefield and they taunt. The dog laughs, while the duck looks to the left.
They do several moves, all along the beat to the music. The dog and duck slide and skid in the scenes.
Then, the dog jumps high in the air, after running down a slope, and the bird helps out by lifting the dog up even further.
Fighting Samus in her power suit, the dog swings its hind legs to hit Samus, who flies in the air.
Fighting Mario, the duck on the dog's back jabs with its beak at the red plumber.
In a starry sky, the dog does a cartwheel in midair, while the duck looks surprised, wide-eyed.
Then, the dog (who now has gray and black fur) and the duck (who has a black head and red body) walk to the ledge. Upon reaching the ledge, they balance precariously, trying not to fall.
In Palutena's temple stage, two Duck Hunts are KO'd, falling and hitting the camera along with the rhythm of the music.
Then, there are two Duck Hunts. One of the dogs is a darker brown than the other, and the darker dog has a green duck with it, while the other has a duck with a purple head. Pac-Man and Kirby are also in the scene. Along with the beat, the ducks both wham Pac-Man and Kirby in the air at the same time.
In the boxing ring against Captain Falcon, the duo run towards the racer, but skid to a stop once they find that CF is about to launch a Falcon Punch at them. The dog and duck jump up, and the duck drags the dog up, flapping rapidly.
In another scene, the duck was carrying the dog up, but became too tired, and the two drop towards the ground.
The camera is then zoomed up to a pixilated cowboy's face. Zooming out, one could see that the Duck Hunt was right next to the cowboy.
With a white cowboy, Duck Hunt, and Toon Link, Duck Hunt is behind the cowboy. The cowboy shoots a bullet at Toon Link, while the other shoots an arrow. The bullet hits Toon Link, making him fall back. The arrow, which Toon Link shot, hits the cowboy and the cowboy then is lying flat on his back (maybe dead?). Duck Hunt did not suffer from any damage.
Meanwhile, the dog covers his eyes to avoid seeing Shulk, who is shirtless.
In the water, the duck and dog swims.
The scene changes to Shulk and Duck Hunt fighting in a blue temple. The dog lays on his stomach, letting the Duck jab at Shulk with its beak.
While Marth is stuck in a Pit trap, the dog lays on its side, the duck attacking the hero king twice.
In the boxing ring once again, a Poke Ball close to the `duo, who both duck close to the ground, opens up to reveal a Fletchling (which has an orange head, black beak and eyes, and a white body, with black feet and tail feathers. The tail feathers have one stripe each on them).
On a different battlefield, Duck Hunt carries a big gift box. Pikachu is right behind them, carrying one as well. The dog and the electrical mouse both are standing on their hind legs so they can carry the heavy item.
Moving on, the duo is against Diddy Kong. They both exchange some hits, but in the end, Diddy Kong seems to be beating up the dog and duck.
Then, everything stops, including the music, and zooms out. Someone has a Zapper in their hand while the paused battle is on a smaller screen. The person aims at Diddy Kong and shoots three times at the monket. DK is KO'd as the battle resumes.
Zooming back to the battle, Duck Hunt taunts again. The dog laughs, while the duck flaps around a little.
Different music starts. In a battle in Megaman's world, Duck Hunt and Wii Fit Trainer (the guy) are battling. The Zapper aims and shoots at the trainer while the duo attack. Wii Fit Trainer flies backward from the hits.
Fighting Link in a different place, the duo fight, and the Zapper shoots Link, making him fly upward. Megaman comes from the right of the duo, and the Zapper hits the blue bomber.
In a battle against Fox, Duck Hunt launches an explosive can, which bounces along. Duck Hunt grabs and throws Fox to where the explosive can will hit, and Fox is hit from the small explosion.
Duck Hunt then throws an explosive Frisbee and the Zapper aims and hits it, causing it to explode, shattering. The duo then run towards the camera to continue fighting.
Back to a battlefield that looks exactly like where the scene took place from the beginning, Duck Hunt, Mario, Kirby, and Donkey Kong are fighting. In the background, the pixilated dog holds up two dead ducks, while the four continue to fight each other. When the smashers hit the duck (that are flying in the air), they drop down, dead.
In the same blue temple as before, a brown and black dog and the duck (blue and turquoise) are alone in the scene. The dog lies on its stomach, eyes closed, while the duck attacks, jabbing.
In the Animal Crossing battlefield, a Nintendo Dog is up facing the camera, pawing. There are two duos. One pair (black dog with a black-headed duck with red body) sits to the left, while the dog of the other duo (the original, standard costume) is scratching its chin.
In the boxing ring once again, the dog, who resembles a Dalmatian, and the duck, who has a orange head and green body, are about to swing the black bat with yellow markings, at a soccer ball. The dog, which is holding the bat, spins around, ready to swing.
With a red Pikmin, the duck of the original, standard duo costume, quack. It seems to be scolding the red creature.
In the duo's final smash, lots of pixilated ducks swoop in and hit Mario, Yoshi, and the Villager. The three are transported to a scene where five pixilated cowboys all in a row are shooting at the three. Ducks fly by, while an explosive can flies past. The three victims spin about slowly, being shot by the cowboys.
The screen then darkens, ending.
But there is a little more, as the Dog and Duck both high-five each other in victory. Zooming out, the person with the Zapper is still there. A little bit of music sounds as the dog laughs again, and the bird flaps next to its companion. The person points the Zapper away from the screen as the dog continues laughing.
After the Film
"So, didn't we see those two before?" Ness wonders.
"What do you mean?" Nana asks.
Toon Link realized. "Yeah, I saw them in the Mewtwo film!"
Nana and Popo nod. "Oh yeah. I remember," Nana understands.
…
"It's great we have different types of smashers coming," Samus admits. "After all, we mostly have people. We need more Smashers like Duck Hunt."
Zelda and Peach nod. "I think they're cute, especially the duck," Peach smiles as everyone files out of the mansion.
AN: I know that there were more scenes afterwards, like Duck Hunt for the Wii U, but I won't include them. It's not really needed, and let's pretend that the smashers actually don't know about the Wii U and that other stuff.
This chapter won't have that 'Dinner' part anymore because I am fixing chapters so they won't have spoilers anymore.
