Will waited in the office of Ari's school, nervous and annoyed. He was nervous because something had to be done. He could not allow His daughter to keep going to a school where she was teased by students and mistreated by the staff because of something she couldn't control. It wasn't fair for his daughter to have to change school's because of who he loved. And he was annoyed because his meeting was over thirty minutes ago and he still hasn't been called into the Principals office. The secretary didn't provide him with any reason why he was still waiting only that an unexpected meeting was scheduled for the Principal. Of course Principal Thompson would take an unexpected visitor before him, Will thought as he sat there staring at his hands, He was a bigoted asshole and making Will wait wasn't a big deal to him. He probably thought Will was use to waiting. He only had to wait for every important thing in his life because he was gay, like legally being able to marry or the country to recognize that he wasn't a freak or huge sinner just because he liked men. Finally after another ten minutes the door to Principal Thompson's office opened and a man in an expensive suit strolled out and up to Will.
"Mr. Horton, sorry to keep you waiting." The man said extending his hand. Will stood up and accepted the hand shake.
"It's fine." Will muttered and followed him into the office. Principal Thompson was sitting at his desk his face a mixture of pail ness and what Will would describe as anger.
"Have a seat." The other man said gesturing to a chair and taking the other one. "My name is Mr. White, I'm the superintendent of the Salem Area school district. I've heard of some mistreatment towards you and your daughter Arianna."
"Yes, sir." Will announced shocked the the superintendent was actually here and already had heard of what was going on.
"I'm very sorry about that Mr. Horton. I believe every student should be treated the same no matter race, color, religion, or sexual orientation they might have or that of their parents."
"I agree." Will answered unsure of what else to say.
"I sincerely apologize that that doesn't seem to be the case here and can assure you we are taking the necessary steps to rectify the situation. Principal White is taking the remainder of the year off and has been required to attend a few different meetings to understand tolerance and is not allowed to return to his duties next school year unless he has completed these trainings." At that statement Will turned to look at Principal Thompson who was staring agars at him from across his desk.
"I...I don't know what to say." Will said turning back to Mr. White.
"I hope that you can accept my apology and keep Arianna in this school."
"I do, and I will. She loves it her and it would break my heart to make her switch schools in the middle of the year"
"Good. I'm glad."
Will left the school, shocked. He couldn't believe what just happened. Principal Thompson was suspended for the rest of the school year. He didn't understand how the superintendent found out about what happened he tried to reach out to his office but was informed he was too busy to do anything on such short notice. Will pulled his phone out once he climbed into his car and turned it back on a text from Sonny was waiting for him.
Good luck, call me when your done and let me know what happened.-Sonny
Sonny. It couldn't have been. Could it? He did have a lot of money and with money came connections and power. His Uncle Victor was very well connected and could have easily helped with getting the superintendent to attend the meeting. Will quickly dialed Sonny's number.
"Hey baby." Sonny voice said on the other end of the line after three rings.
"Was it you?" Will asked.
"Please don't be mad." Sonny rushed out.
"Mad?" Will questioned
"I had to do something to help. Did everything go ok?"
"He's been suspended for the remainder of the school year and can't return next year unless he attends sensitivity training and some others to ensure he doesn't mistreat the students or parents because of their life choices or life styles."
"Oh my god! That's amazing!"
"I know, I owe you Sonny. Thank you so much"
"Anything for you baby."
"Don't make plans for tonight. I'll have Ari but was hoping the three of us could get dinner?"
"Sounds perfect."
"Hello, I'm trying to reach Nicholas Fallon." Mr. Thompson said into the phone.
"This is Nick, who is this?"
"My name is Jerry Thompson, I'm the principal at Salem Elementary."
"What's this about?"
"I was calling about Arianna Horton and her faggot father."
"I'm listening." Nick replied.
"I've heard a lot about you Mr. Fallon and an aware of your feelings towards queers. I'm confused on why you would allow Mr. Horton to care for your girlfriends child."
"My wife. Gabi and I are married now."
"Well congratulations. Is there a reason your allowing his homo to raise your step daughter and fill her mind with all this crazy nonsense about two men loving each other."
"I..."
"She needs you and her mother Mr. Fallon. She needs someone to help her before it's too late. Help her understand how this queer stole her from a normal family and is brainwashing her."
Later that night when Gabi arrived home from work she found two suitcases by the door.
"Nick?" Gabi called.
"Hey sweetheart." Nick called from the other room.
"What's going on?"
"We are going to Salem." Nick announced "Were getting our daughter."
Oh my gosh! It's been forever! I'm one of those annoying fan fiction writers who leave people hanging. I honestly can't stand unfinished stories and really don't want to do that here. I'm stuck and not sure what to write or where to go from here but I'll figure it out. I will seriously try hard not to make you all wait so long for the next update. I'm sorry it's so short, but I hope you like it. Thanks everyone who stuck with me and continues to read and review. All the alerts I get on this telling me about new people following, favoriting, and reviewing makes me want to keep this story going.
