AN: Hi everybody, and welcome back.
Sorry everybody for the long delay. I am quite frustrated sometimes. I'm very busy often and must have to complete summer work. But I'm still trying to keep up. Now, on with the story!
It was finally the day that all of the new Smashers would come. Well, most of them. There would still be more, but they would come later due to some inconveniences.
The veterans were all using their free time to help make the mansion look beautiful. More decorations were made, and a fancy lunch was prepared by Peach, Mr. Game and Watch, Zelda, and by a few others. But finally, everything was done.
"We should make it a surprise party!" Popo suggested. "We aren't all just tough. We're also full of fun, right?"
The others thought about this.
"You know what? That's a great idea!" Mario grinned. Let's hide and wait. Nobody make a sound or the surprise will be ruined!"
Minutes passed by and nobody tried to make any sound. But since everybody was so eager, it worked out. In the shadows, the Smashers listened closely for the sound of wheels braking on the road in front of the Smash Mansion, and the footsteps of the new Smashers approaching the mansion they would live in for the current tournament going on.
Behind closed doors, the veterans' excitement fizzed and grew.
The sound of a bus rumbling through to the front of the Smash Mansion was heard through the doors.
"Here they come," Fox whispered quickly so only the veterans could hear.
The bus doors opened swiftly, and footsteps were heard walking towards the main doors. The time had come.
"It's quiet. Where is everybody?" A blue-haired girl wondered.
"Probably getting ready. They must be excited about our arrival, obviously," a red-head responded.
All of the Smashers finally arrived at the front doors and paused.
With a deep breath, a boxer reached out an pushed the doors open.
It was dark.
"They're not here?" One voice asked.
"Did we come to ear- AHHH!" Another voice was cut off as all of the veteran smashers jumped out from behind the open doors.
"SURPRISE!"
"Welcome to Smash!"
The newcomers were welcomed in warmly.
All of the Smashers came to the cafeteria, where a delicious lunch was made. Sandwiches, soup, and more were laid out on a table in the back.
"In honor of the newcomers, let's eat and celebrate!" Marth smiled and told everybody.
Marth and Link sat next to a blonde male with a strange red sword.
"You must be Shulk, right?" Link asked.
Shulk nodded. "Yes I am. And who are you two?"
"I'm Link, and this is Marth," Link introduced.
"Nice to meet you," Shulk glanced at both of them. "So what do you do in the Smash Tournaments?"
"We fight in daily matches for fun, and then we have a competition to see who is the best Smasher of all. Our results get ranked from best to worst." Link informed.
Marth continued. "But most of the time we have fun. For you and everybody, the Smashers become one large family. Though there are arguments and such, it makes personality in the mansion. You will bond and make friends with Smashers of completely different worlds in no time, trust me."
"No offense, really, but you two look alike. Are you two twins?" Popo asked. "I'm Popo, and this is my sister, Nana." Nana sat next to him, eating a sandwich.
The male Robin smiled. "No, we aren't. Lots of people mistake that, but that's okay. We're both called Robin and look similar."
Nana finished her bite of sandwich. "What do you think of Smash so far? At first, I thought it was a little intimidating, but when I warmed up to the others, it became fun and great."
The female Robin responded, "I thought it would be fun and a place to compare my strength and skills with other. I also wanted some relaxing time, and though this isn't really relaxation, because of that Smash Tournament, it kind of is. At least you don't have to keep worrying about the world getting in danger for a little while."
Popo nodded. "I thought the same too. Though we have daily matches against others, it's at least fun and you can relax for once."
The four continued their meal, talking about their experiences in their own world and such.
At last, lunch was finished. Master Hand floated into the cafe, to tell them what would happen next. "
Now, everybody, we'll be all sharing a little bit about ourselves to know about each other more. I know it sounds childish, yeah, but it is good for the newcomers to feel welcome and such. Who wants to go first?"
Nobody volunteered. At last, Toon Link went first.
"I'm Toon Link, and you might think Link and I are brothers or something, but we're actually not. We come from different times in Hyrule."
The others nodded. Some of the new Smashers who didn't know this were kind of surprised, not expecting that Link and Toon Link weren't brothers.
Fox went next. "Falco and I are master pilots who fly in planes called Arwings."
"I'm from Onett, and I have PSI powers!" Ness used PK Flash and showed everybody.
"We're the Ice Climbers. As our name probably explains, we love snow and ice!" Nana and Popo said together.
"I'm Diddy Kong," the little monkey said through a translator. "I love bananas!"
"The typical monkey," the male Robin silently remarked, then said aloud, "I'm Robin. The other Robin and I are not siblings."
"And I'm Robin, as the other Robin introduced. We use two swords and use tomes from this book!" Robin showed her two swords, the Bronze and Levin swords, and then showed her small book. She flipped through them. Each page was filled with words of many different spells.
Falco spoke. "I am Falco, and Fox and I are in the StarFox team! We protect Corneria from the evil, called StarWolf."
"I am Wolf, and I am part of the StarWolf team. Which makes me enemies against Fox and Falco." Immediately upon saying that, Fox and Falco gave Wolf the evil eye. Wolf returned it.
To break the tension, Sonic dashed up on a table. "The name's Sonic, and none of you can run faster than me, for I'm the fastest!"
"Bragger," Ganondorf whispered.
"I am the princess of Hyrule," Zelda introduced herself. "I'm Zelda, and I can transform into Shiek." (though in SSB4 Zelda and Sheik are two different Smashers, the character used to be able to change between Zelda and Shiek, undergoing transformation. Also, in the games, Zelda and Shiek are still the same, so I don't want to make them separate).
In a bright light, Zelda changed forms, becoming ninja-like.
"Link is my name, and I have the Triforce of Courage! Toon Link has it too," Link told them all."
Megaman volunteered to go next. "I'm Megaman, and I'm a robot."
"I'm Wii Fit Trainer. I exercise everyday to keep in shape." Wii Fit Trainer didn't really know what to say.
R.O.B. spoke in beeps. A translator was put on. "I'm R.O.B., not Rob. Don't mix up the two names!"
Since Mr. G&W needed a translator too, he went next. "Hello, I'm Mr. G&W. I'm 2-D, which is why I can be invisible." He turned to his side and nearly disappeared to some.
Pac-Man went. "I'm Pac-Man. Mr. G&W and I know each other. Our games were made on the same year. Right, Mr. G&W?"
Mr. G&W beeped 'yes' in response, which was put in the translator.
After quite a while, everybody went. Master Hand then told them they could do whatever they wanted now.
"But wait!" he called, suddenly remembering something. "I have more trailers, so we'll be reviewing one more today. Please report here at 6:00 pm.
"Wonder what other Smashers are coming next," Dr. Mario wonders.
"Dunno," Mario responds.
...
"Palutena, I can't believe you're finally here!" Pit cheered. "Now, I'm not alone. Though I feel bad for Mr. G&W, Megaman, Pac-Man, Little Mac, and all of those other Smashers that are the only Smashers from a certain world."
"I'm sure they are fine," Palutena told them. Pit, Palutena, and Dark Pit were walking around the mansion, with Pit showing them around.
Pit paused for a while. "So what made you come here?"
Palutena laughed. "I wanted some fun! I don't always want to watch over Skyworld, even though I have to. Goddesses need more fun, just like you do."
Dark Pit nodded. "That's what I wanted too."
...
"Grenin- Greninja!" Greninja spoke in Pokémon language. "So what do you do in Smash, Lucario?"
"Lucar-lu!" Lucario growled. "Fight and hang out, really. That's the main schedule. Today's different. Sometimes, Master Hand throws in a party, like this."
Greninja nodded. "Gre-gre-nin-ninja!" He hopped along more. "I'm also amazed that Mewtwo is here! The strong Legendary! And Pikachu, Jigglypuff, and Charizard. Pokémon are sure popoular!"
"Mew-two?" Mewtwo snuck up on them. "So you're Greninja, from the Kalos region. And you, you are Lucario? From the Sinnoh region?"
"Luca!" Lucario told Mewtwo 'yes'. "We are. And you are from the Kanto region? I know Pikachu and Charizard also come from the Kanto region."
Mewtwo remembered where he originally lived. In a cave in Cerulean City, he had seen many come, highly-skilled, but he had beaten them all. Personally, Mewtwo disliked Red, because Red had tried to capture him. Mewtwo did not like the ones who dared even try to trap him in those unreasonable things called Poke Balls.
"Gre-gre!" Greninja spoke. "I've heard about these other items that appear in the battlefield, Lucario. Some of them were Poke Balls. Are there more Pokémon?"
Lucario nodded. "Rio-Lucario!" "Yup. Smashers can summon them by picking them up and throwing them. There are Pokémon, like Bonsly, Munchlax, Snorlax, Fennekin, Togepie, and even many Legendaries!"
"Mew-two-mew?" Mewtwo was curious. He could see more Legendaries. Mewtwo knew about Moltres, Articuno, and Zapdos. They came from the same region. "Like who?"
"Car-cario-Lucario!" "Groundon, Kyogre, Keldeo, Arceus, Mew, Celebi… Almost every Legendary of all the regions!"
"Two-Mew?" "Even me?"
"Lucar-cario." "No, definitely not. If you were on the battlefield, and somebody threw a Poke Ball, and it turned out to be another Mewtwo, that would certainly be strange. There can't be two of the same Legendary. That'd be very off."
...
Ness, and Toon Link all walked with Villager through the Smash Mansion Garden.
"You can plant trees just like that?" Ness looked at the tree in amazement. The Villager had just put a seed in the soil, watered it, and suddenly, there was a full-grown tree!
"Yeah," Villager said. The Villager didn't really say much. He only asked some questions, and either 'yes', 'no', or 'sometimes'. He did not speak of anything unnecessary.
"And you have balloons to fly!" Toon Link remembered the Villager showing what he could do during battle. With balloons, he could fly quite high, though the balloons couldn't last forever, and could be popped. "I can jump kind of high, and use my Spin Attack to help. Plus, I can tether to ledges with my Hookshot."
"And I jump very high, even without a boost, like your balloons, or Toon Link's Spin Attack," Ness jumped up high, his powers automatically helping high reach up to the height of the second floor of the Mansion.
"Ness can also use PK Thunder to reach an even higher height!" Toon Link added. "Except that if his PK Thunder gets absorbed, he will fall down, which then, he could become KO'd. For me, I'd hate that. If you don't aim PK Thunder right, as Ness told me, then you could go in the wrong direction and make it worse! But Ness knows how to control it better since the last tournament."
Ness nodded. "I personally liked Lucas's. His turned better and could be used for more narrow spaces. But we both had our goods and bads." Ness suddenly looked a little sad, remembering Lucas.
"Who's Lucas?" The Villager boldly asked, despite of Ness's expression.
"Lucas was Ness's best friend, but he left to his hometown in the Nowhere Islands." Toon Link informed.
Villager thought the name was weird- Nowhere Islands. "I don't want to be offensive, but Nowhere Islands is quite a name."
"It's because the Islands are really in the middle of nowhere," Ness told the Villager.
Toon Link continued on. "Anyway, Lucas had the same PSI powers as Ness, except with a little differences."
"He said he might be here for the tournament after this one," Ness brightened a little. "I can't wait!"
...
At the Film room (the new Smashers needed a lot of help locating the room on the first floor of the big Mansion), Master Hand was waiting.
"So, how was your first day, new Smashers?" Master Hand asked. Many of the new Smashers, the Miis in particular, were a little intimidated by the big, floating hand. They weren't used to him yet.
"It was fun, actually," Pac-Man spoke. The others voiced their agreements as well.
"Well, come on; let's get the new film started!" Master Hand opened the doors magically.
The Film Begins!
A silhouette of someone is barely seen in the background. Flashes of lightning (It's probably lightning) flashes in the background twice, and it appears that the silhouette belongs to a man. Then, big, white words appear on the black screen.
"I'm Looking," The words say. It appears to be incomplete.
In the Castle Siege stage, Fox, Link, and Samus all face to the left.
The silhouette comes back, and two more flashes illuminate the screen and room again.
"For a," the same kind of words as before appear on the screen.
Back to the Castle Siege stage, Fox extends a hand and gestures for someone to come on. Link and Samus seem to prepare for a battle, behind Fox.
Somebody seems to step forward, facing the other three.
The silhouette is seen again, but the light brightens just enough to see the man.
"Challenge." The sentence is complete. (I'm Looking For a Challenge.)
"Hrrr…" The man charges up a strange blue power. "Hadoken!" (I've wikied this because I wasn't so sure) The man blasts the blue power towards the screen, making the screen flash white.
The Super Smash Bros. Logo appears on the screen right after. Then the screen turns white again, now showing:
Super Smash Bros (the logo) X Street Fighter
"Street Fighter?" some of them asked.
"What's that?"
Then, the man sky uppercuts in a black screen.
"Here Comes a New Challenger! Ryu," The Splash-Art reads.
In the main Smash Battlefield, Ryu lands, ready to fight.
"So this is Smash," he says, pulling at his red gloves. "Come on!"
His opponent is Mario. Mario leaps up at the Street Fighter character at the moment Ryu said 'Come on!'.
When Mario was about to get Ryu, Ryu delivered a strong uppercut punch, launching Mario high up in the air.
"That seems powerful," Mario says nervously.
In another battlefield, Ryu punches Link, blasting the Hero of Time backward. With a flying kick, Link gets pushed back even further.
In Palutena's Temple Stage, Dark Pit attempts to shield a hit, but the attack from Ryu is too strong. Ryu breaks through the shield, making Dark Pit temporarily dizzy.
In a Fire Emblem stage, the Dog laughs, while the Duck is on top of the Dog. A pixilated cowboy prevents Ryu from hitting the duo.
Fighting Fox and Falco, Ryu throws Falco up into the air after grabbing the avian, kicking up. The kick hits Fox, as he attempts to attack him.
On the stage of the Bridge of Eldin, Ryu (in the white clothing and red headband + gloves) is fighting against another Ryu (in black clothing, red gloves, yellow headband). The one in the red headband shields from the other Ryu successfully before retaliating.
In a stage with lava in the background, Ryu launches the same blue thing as seen before, yelling, "Hadoken!"
Fighting Rosalina and Luma in the Smashville stage, Ryu yells something as he spins and kicks Rosalina up.
Megaman up next is fighting Ryu, only to get sky upper-cutted by Ryu. Megaman is launched high in the sky, like Mario had been before.
The next scene involves Kirby. Apparantly, Kirby had just swallowed Ryu, getting Ryu's ability. Now, Kirby has the same hairstyle as Ryu, along with a red headband.
"Hadoken!" Kirby yells in his Kirby-like voice, shooting that blue power to the left.
Next, Ike tries to fight Ryu, tying to get a hit, but Ryu uses some strange move. Strange blackness surrounds Ryu and the victim as he does the move, making Ike fall slowly to the ground.
He then does it to Ganondorf on the next stage. While Ganon is falling, Ryu yells "SHORYUKEN!", punching Ganondorf upwards. The Evil King is KO'd.
Moving on, Mario uses his F.L.U.D.D. cannon to keep Ryu off the edge. As Ryu uses his uppercut to boost himself up, Mario sprays water at Ryu, but it appears to have no effect. Mario does it again, and there still is no effect either.
In the stage which probably is a stage in Street Fighter, there is a reddish sunset, and two houses. There is a sign with Chinese (I believe it is Chinese because I saw the characters).
Ryu currently has grabbed Villager, punching him, then throwing him behind him. The Villager lands on a platform quite far from where Ryu is. Then, Ryu launches a Hadoken, which hits against Lucario's Aura Sphere.
Fighting Mewtwo in the same stage, Mewtwo is blown back by a kick from Ryu. Now on the ground again, Ryu performs several moves in a combo, which beats up Mewtwo. In the combo, one of the moves was a Hadoken, and this time, it seemed to be some kind of fire energy, rather than a bluish energy. With another punch, Ryu blasts Mewtwo off the edge and KO's the Legendary Pokémon. Ryu then recovers, going back to the platform.
In Ryu's final smash (he has two), he launches something similar to a Hadoken, but more stronger, yelling. The male Wii Fit Trainer and Charizard are caught in the strong energy, being blown off, receiving damage as well.
The other final smash of Ryu was shown. Captain Falcon was unfortunately the victim as Ryu uses an extremely powerful Shoryuken, and it appears to be so strong that the background flashes orange and white. There is a purple shadow of Ryu behind him as Ryu leaps in the air and delivers the strong blow.
As Ryu lands, he taunts, holding out a fist. He says, "You must defeat my Shoryuken to stand a chance."
The screen turns dark, to reveal one last battle scene.
On the main battlefield, Ryu stands, ready to fight. A Mii Fighter walks up to Ryu, ready to take him on. Ryu kicks at the Mii, while the Mii punches back. Both attacks collide, when the screen turns dark again, finally ending.
After the Film
"That seems to be one strong person," Little Mac says.
Some others nod, agreeing.
Toon Link was very surprised. "He has two final smashes!" After all, nobody had two final smashes. But Ryu did.
"Well, I do have to admit that his final smashes are probably just stronger versions of his regular attacks, upon seeing that," the male Robin looked thoughtful.
Someone enters the film room. It turned out to be Ryu!
"It's Ryu!" Mario says, closest to the door.
Ryu looks around.
"Welcome to Smash!" The veterans say, as they said before to the group of newcomers that had come in the afternoon.
"Thanks," Ryu said. He saw Smashers of all different kinds. He even saw two angels, and someone with cat eyes. Wait- cat eyes? That was weird.
There was some robot, and even strange creatures. This is some place, he thought.
"We just watched your trailer. You have two final smashes!" a boy in some parka with a hammer said excitedly.
"I can't wait until the matches begin!" some say.
Master Hand also walks- no, floats into the room. "Everybody, you probably know, but this is Ryu. Let's first get to the Smash Café before we do anything. You can talk to Ryu there."
Master Hand was right. Everyone was hungry, and the Smash Film Room was not exactly the best place for conversations and such. It was a mostly dim room.
All of the smashers, new ones and veterans, all went out to the café together, and couldn't wait to know more about each other and most of all, everyone couldn't wait to have battles. It would be an exciting time.
AN: Sorry for the delay. A new chapter is coming right after, so stay tuned! Thank you for enjoying, reading, reviewing, and what not! Next chapter is the last chapter before I may start another story relating to this one (life in the Smash Mansion)!
