Sonny and Luke pulled into the tux shop and saw Paul standing outside waiting. Sonny inhaled a breath nervous about this interaction. They hadn't spoken since Sonny threw his home run winning baseball at him and placed his engagement ring on the kitchen table, walking out of Paul's life for what Sonny thought would be forever.

"Are you going to be okay?" Luke asked looking over at Sonny

Sonny realized he had been holding his breath and Luke must have realized too, telling by the look on his face. "Yea, I'll be fine."
He replied getting out of the car.

"Hey Sonny." Paul said smiling at him

"Hi"

"You look good"

"So do you."

Sonny said holding the door open. They didn't talk much as they got fitted for the suits but Luke suggested they all go to dinner without asking Sonny first and he didn't want to be rude and say no.

"Daddy!" Ari yelled from the bathroom.

"Arianna, what did I tell you about having conversations while you're going to the bathroom." Will scolded

"I told you daddy, the best ideas come to me when I'm in here and I don't want to forget!"

"Fine, what is it Ari?" Will asked laughing.

"We should invite Sonny over! We can have pizza, and watch Frozen and have a sleepover, and have popcorn and Sonny can help me with my homework, and we can paint a picture and we can.."

"Whoa Ari, there is only so much time in a day."

"Just call Sonny okay" Ari said sitting on the toilet and tapping her fingers against her chin like Will was bothering her.

"Fine fine." Will said dialing Sonny's number after several rings it went to voicemail. He should be done with the tux fitting Will thought to himself so he sent him a text.

Sonny looked down at his phone and silenced it when he seen it was Will calling, he didn't want to answer while he was with Paul just in case Will asked who he was with. He didn't want to lie to him but he also didn't want to have to tell him about Paul.

"Are you going to get that?" Paul asked.

"No...I could call them back later." Sonny replied putting his phone away.

"I heard about the article man that sucks." Luke said to Paul.

"Yea, I'm going to start rehab on my arm after the wedding and coach said he's keeping me on the roster, so hopefully I can get my shoulder back."

"I'm rooting for you man." Luke said

"Thank you." Paul said before turning to Sonny. "I heard you finally opened that coffee shop you always talked about."

"Oh yea, and he owns a club now too" Luke replied

"Really?"

"Yeah TBD, were going to have the engagement party there."

"I'm happy for you." Paul said and Sonny smiled at him "Any plans for more travel or staying put?"

"I don't really have much time for that now with the coffee house, the club and I'm coaching tee ball"

"Tee ball.. really." Paul laughed. "I remember when we always use to talk about joint coaching one day when he had kids."

"That was a long time ago." Sonny said trying to cut that topic off.

"Still it's cool that your doing that. If you need any help while I'm here, I'll be happy to come out."

"Thanks, I'll keep that in mind."

"It's been a billion hours, how come Sonny didn't answer you?" Ari asked staring out the front window.

"It's only been 2 hours sweetie and he's probably busy. Sonny can't come around every day."

"Did you tell me it was me? He might be sick of you but he could never get sick of me. Were best friends" Ari said and Will started wondering if she was right maybe Sonny did want some alone time, maybe he was getting sick of Will. He checked his phone again but still nothing. No he isn't sick of you, he runs two businesses he's just busy, Will thought to himself.

"How about we watch frozen and then you need to get ready for bed."

"But I already did my homework and we ate dinner. I want to save something in case Sonny does come."

"Princess, I really don't think he is going to come over tonight."

"Fine!" Ari puffed before throwing herself down on the couch.

After dinner they stopped by TBD for a drink, Paul insisted. They grabbed a table and Sonny ran to his office and texted Will.

Hey babe. Sorry I didn't respond at TBD just taking care of some stuff-S This wasn't a total lie Sonny told himself as he double checked payroll since tomorrow was payday.

That's fine, putting Ari to bed right now. TTYL-W

Tell her goodnight and give her a kiss for me-S

"This place is awesome!" Paul said when Sonny joined him at the table.

"I like it." Sonny said nonchalantly. "Where's Luke?"

"Anna texted him some type of wedding emergency he asked me to drive you back to your car."

"Oh..okay." Thanks Luke, I'm going to kill him. "Can I get you a drink?" Sonny asked.

"That would be great, you know what I like." Sonny nodded and went to get them drinks.

"Do you ever miss traveling? You loved being on the road with me this must be so different."

"I do miss it but I love being home. I love seeing my family whenever I want and I love owning this place and the coffee house. You can't travel forever, eventually you need to settle down."

They finished their drinks and then Paul drove Sonny to his car.

"I'm really happy for you Sonny, it seems like your doing really great."

"Thank you, I am. I wish I could say the same about you. I really am sorry about the article and your arm."

"Life goes on. Something I learned a few years ago." Paul said and Sonny knew he was talking about him leaving.

"It does, people change and life moves forward."

"Exactly Sonny. I've changed" Paul said turning to him. "I'm out now, it's what you always wanted."

"It's different now."

"It doesn't have to be" Paul said leaning in and kissing Sonny.

Will texted Sonny back later that night as he climbed into bed but that text went unanswered.

Yay, it didn't take me months to write this next chapter! I actually have the next two started and the third one is brewing in my mind. I am going to try so hard to get things out sooner. I'm sorry it has taken me so long, I haven't watched the show in forever and just started again. I'm up to where Sonny left and let me ask what the hell was Will thinking! ugh! But anyway I hope you enjoy as always I love reviews and all of you! :)
