A letter from a friend
Moving on.
In this short chapter, I will be introducing an OC on loan to me by my friend, Bluephoenixflame98. Thanks again Blue.
Warning, this is a filler. It is not one of my best. I am allowed a few of these. ;)

"HOME AT LAST!" James threw himself to his bed. His sunburnt pink skin free of a stifling shirt. His fault for not applying enough of the cream. He bunched the 700 stitch silken covers to his nuzzling nose. "The mermaids were fun and all, but I miss my room. My toys. My cannon!" He frothed excited over the ornate, life size cannon by the wall.
Lydia laughed at his dramatics, stroking the cannon. "You sound like Amber." She knocked on it. The pure ring of the iron resounded a bell's knell. A flag popped out. BOOM was in bold red letters. "She was practically in tears being reunited with all 801 of her gowns."
"I'm in tears now..." James dared not to move. The slightest twitch agitated the searing pink burn. He was plaing wiht the mermaids and fell asleep on the swimming platform. The rest is history. "Tell me there's a spell for sunburns."
"Nope. But there is a rumor if you take a bath in milk-"
"No way!" James threw that idea in the trash before it blossomed. "I like milk, but not enough to take a bath in it."
"Then there's one remedy left." Lydia jumped and stomped James's bed, catapulting him high. He landed bridal style in her arms. In a puff of turquoise smoke, the brother and sister appeared in Lydia's room. She sat him on her bed, then went for her potions cabinet. "There's this cream Dr. Merr made for Amber when she burned herself roasting marshmallows with Mom." She rifled in the cabinet, unsure where she last saw it. "Amber let me borrow after we got back from our vacation. My shoulders are killing me." She ah-ha'd finding it beside the camel spit. Don't ask why she has it, or how she got it. It's one story she refuses to tell.
"Why not keep it for yourself?" James lied on his stomach, not about to pass up an offer.
"Because my skin isn't as delicate as yours." Lydia applied a generous amount along the spine. "There's a perk to Sofia, Mom, and I being born naturally tan." She flaunted her golden brown skin. "Besides, this stuff if for more severe burns. Mine is mild." Lydia smeared the cream. James moaned feeling icy breezes seep under his skin, moisturizing the tender skin. "Use this stuff three times a day, and your burn will be gone in no time."
Knock-knock-knock. Baileywick poked his head in. "Pardon the intrusion, Princess Lydia." He bowed. Lydia dried the ointment to a towel. Baileywick handed her an envelope. "A letter arrived for you."
"Oh?" Lydia spotted an emblem on one side. A stencil of a red tailed hawk. "I know that mark..." Lydia hurriedly opened the envelope. She unfolded the note. full page of greetings, how are you's, and other mild chatter. Towards the end had the good part. " YEEE!" Lydia squealed cheerfully, throwing the papers in the air. Baileywick and James covered their ears. "SHE'S COMING!" Lydia disaapeared and appeared in midair. "SHE'S COMING!" She vanished again, grabbing Baileywick by the hands. "SHE IS COMING!" She spun Baileywick, literally lifting his feet off the ground.
"I TAKE IT YOU'VE RECEIVED GOOD NEWS!" Baileywick scarfed his breakfast crawling to his throat.
"THE BEST NEWS IN THE WORLD!" She accidentally let Baileywick go. James closed his eyes. Roland and Miranda walked in just in time. Baileywick was svaed in thier arms. Lydia and James exhaled in relief. "Nice timing."
"You're a hazard when you're happy, you know that?" Roland teased.
Lydia fluttered her eyelashes. "Mom calls me a Weapon of Emotional Destruction." She flashed a grin.
"What's all the excitement about anyway?" Miranda laughed, helping Baileywick stand.
"Remember my friend, Adelea?"
"Yes/no!" Miranda's glee of the name was overbeared by the bewildered gentlemen.
"She was and is one of my best friends from sorcery school!" Lydia flourished her wand, drawing a photo to her hands. "We sort of went our separate ways after we graduated." She handed her family the photo. Lydia was hugging another girl and a boy her age. All three in sorcery robes, and wearing wizard's hats. The boy was rather handsome. Neatly trimmed black hair, glasses for his gorgeous green eyes, and a deboire smile for the painter. The girl's beautiful, long navy dark hair tied to a ponytail, bangs protruding under the pointed sorcerer's hat. Her bright blue eyes glistened like diamonds. "Adelea and I met at the entrance ceremony our first year. Been best friends ever since."
"When's she coming?" Miranda asked excitedly. She couldn't wait to finally meet her. It was too exciting. Lydia's letters from school always went into detail about Adelea. Never missing a beat. Her favorite foods. Her likes and dislikes. "I can't wait to finally meet her. "
"She's coming from Weiling, so she should be here by the time the Circus is."
"The Golden Wing Circus?!" James pushed up on his hands. He was beaming with joy. "They're coming to Enchancia?"
"In a matter of days, yes." Roland answered. He was looking forward to the circus himself. They always had a new act each year. "Lydia, maybe Adelea will want to come. "
"Can she?" Lydia cupped her hands hopefully.
"I don't see why not?" Roland placed a hand to her shoulder, "Let's make her visit I've to remember."
"It might be the other way around." Lydia impishly giggled.
"Why do you say it like that?"
"Ohh...you'll see." Lydia slyly snuck a glance to the photo Miranda was holding. "She might very well steal the show if she has a mind to it." It was one of two copies Lezard created before they went their separate ways. What the painters neglected to add were the monkey ears and tails Adelea hexed them with the day they graduated. A Zoo Charm so the school would never forget her. "Wonder if Serena will be with her?"
"Who's Serena?" Miranda handed back the photo.
"Someone who Eezeyal always strikes out with."

"Hmm... " Eezeyal lifted his stuffed cheeks from the garden's berries.
"What's up, Eeze?" Clover happily chowed on his apple.
"I'm gettin' the feelin' Liddy knows something that's going to bum me out."
"What makes you say that?"
"Because it's literally been..." He checked the position of the sun, checked the time, and did a little math, "Three hours since she's pulled the wool over my eye."
"Don't you think you're being a little paranoid?" Clover pinched his little paws, hinting that Eezeyal might need a little more faith in his girl."
"After a year on that girl's head," Eezeyal shuddered, "I am convinced she's a criminal mastermind in disguise."
"If you say so." Clover shrugged, returning to his apple.
"I know so." Eezeyal leered suspiciously toward Lydia's window. There's trouble brewing in that head of hers. Eezeyal has the slight urge to pack his bags and head for the hills till it passes.
That's all for now.
I'd write more, but I'm not 100% at the moment.
A better chapter next.
