Chapter : Sick
Kyoko pull out the small thermometer as it make a beeping sound, then a furrow could be seen in her flawless face as she looking at the number in the small screen.
"29 degree, you're definitely having a fever Tsuna-kun."
Tsuna coughed and shivering inside his thick blanket as Kyoko says that. His big eyes staring helplessly at his forever cute fiancée who's sitting in the edge of his bed, and she secretly think he's seriously adorable now in this state. "I thought it's just a flu," Tsuna mumble with a bit hoars voice.
"And a flu," Kyoko say gently as she wipe Tsuna's sweating forehead while sometimes rubbing his cheek, making Tsuna a bit calmer being touched by her cold and soft hand.
"Sorry, even though it's weekend…."
Kyoko giggle at him and rubbing his cheek again, "It's okay. Maybe it's just your body way to tell you to take a rest from work. We could have a date anytime anyway."
Tsuna pouted as he take a hold of her hand in his face and rubbing it back, "If anytime is when I got no paperwork then there's almost no time."
A giggle could be heard again from the Vongola Tenth's fiancée before she peck Tsuna in his forehead and made Tsuna let go of her hand so she could stand up. "I'll ask the chef to prepare some hot ginger tea while we wait for the doctor came. Try to take some sleep for now okay?"
"Kay~" Tsuna says weakly as he staring at Kyoko's retreating figure.
As the door closed again, Tsuna sighing heavily in his bed and starting to measure his own condition. His head and body is feels so heavy, his eyes feels like burning too. And even though he's having a fever, he's shivering so much that he didn't feel like to leave his thick blanket anytime soon even though it's almost summer now. It sure is weird to feel uncomfortable with high body temperature when all he's been doing for the past few years is playing with fire in his hand and forehead.
"Well, at least I could get some peace from trouble and those fucking paperwork…." Mumble Tsuna as his eyelid starting to get heavier and heavier, and he finally let it close to send him to dreamland.
"JYUUDAIME!" a loud scream could be heard from afar and when his door smashed open with a loud bang, and Tsuna knew he's far from peace.
Well at least he tried…
Opening his eyes lazily, Tsuna turning his head without moving his other body part towards the door and saw his right hand man panting harshly with almost teary eyes in front of his door, while his left-hand man follow behind him with his ever grinning face.
"Ah….Hayato… Takeshi… ohayou…" greet Tsuna weakly.
"Ohayo Tsuna! Heard you caught a fever?" reply the rain guardian without losing his happy face.
"YOU STUPID BASEBALL-FREAK! HOW COULD YOU SAY IT SO CALMLY!? JYUUDAIME IS HAVING A FEVER FOR GOD DAMN SAKE! A FEVER IS A SYMPTOM FOR ALMOST MANY KIND OF SERIOUS DISEASE!" shout Gokudera with panic face.
"Heh~? Is that so?"
"YES IT IS!"
Tsuna feel like curling himself even deeper inside his blanket hearing the two's bickering. Not to mention he's having a nasty headache without them adding on it.
"Hayato….I'm just having a fever from flu. No need to make a fuss about it. And please…..your volume…" groan Tsuna from inside his blanket.
Seeming realize what his boss just meant, Gokudera tensed immediately and swiftly bowing while shouting and suppressing his sound at the same time, "Ah! Forgive me Jyuudaime!"
"Hahaha~ But still, you sure looked terrible Tsuna. What did you do yesterday anyway?" Yamamoto say as he walk closer to Tsuna's bed and looking at him worriedly.
Tsuna peeking his head a bit from inside his blanket and try to remember his activity yesterday, "I don't know….nothing special I think. Just the usual stuff…"
Yamamoto raising his eyebrow hearing the answer as Gokudera finally get himself calmer and stood beside him. "Really? You're not drenched or anything? Maybe you eat too many ice cream? Hahaha~"
Tsuna's face could be seen frowning from inside the blanket, and then as he looking at his two guardians, his memory came to him. "Come to think of it, didn't you accidentally showering me when you were practicing your sword moves in the pond yesterday?"
"WHAT!?"
"Ah! Now that you mention it," Yamamoto says sheepishly as he just remember it.
"YOU STUPID! HOW DARE YOU DO THAT TO JYUUDAIME!"
"Ahahaha, it was an accident. Tsuna just happen to practice his stealthy moves when I'm around~"
"WHY YOU..!"
"Ah…" Tsuna suddenly cut Gokudera's enrage. "And if I remember correctly, didn't you also spilling me my cold tea when you're chasing Uri around, Hayato?"
"AGH..! FORGIVE ME JYUUDAIME!" Gokudera quickly disappear from Tsuna's line of sight as he keep bowing in front of Tsuna's bed.
"Haha! So that's why!" say Yamamoto as if he have no fault.
Tsuna's furrow even deeper as he keep remembering yesterday's event, "That's not all…"
The bedroom door suddenly smashed open again and Tsuna cringed hard at the loud bang plus the shout that follows. "LITTLE BRO! KYOKO SAID YOU GOT EXTREME FEVER!?"
Tsuna sinking deeper into his blanket as Ryouhei walking fast towards his bed, "Just normal fever Onii-san….and your voice please…" then he suddenly pierced his sun guardian with sharp eyes. "And yeah…didn't you also tripping on me when you're training with a bucket of water or something Onii-san?"
Didn't notice the malice in his (soon-to-be) little brother's eyes, Ryouhei just nodded, "I am! What with it!?"
"NOT YOU TOO!"
"Ahahaha! You just have extreme bad luck yesterday huh, Tsuna?"
"Not that any of it was my fault…" mumble Tsuna. Why are they even my guardian…I don't even know anymore….
Not long after Tsuna think that, another loud bang coming from the door and Tsuna starting to want to burn whoever barging into his room along with his fever now.
"Omnivore, you're not allowed to neglecting your daily duty," state Hibari as he pulling out his tonfa. And by daily duty, he means the schedule where Tsuna have to spar with him every morning before he start any activity.
Tsuna glaring dagger as deep as he can into the skylark's skull, that makes even the famous cloud guardian stopped in his track. And here he heard earlier that the Omnivore Boss supposed to be sick in the bed.
"And you're not at fault for throwing me into the pond first thing in the morning yesterday huh, Kyoya?" sneer Tsuna with his now short patience.
"Humph, don't blame me for your own weakness Omnivore."
"UWO! YOU SURE HAVING A WET DAY YESTERDAY LITTLE BRO!"
"Haha~ Seems like it~"
"DON'T TALK AS IF YOU'RE NOT AT FAULT TOO YOU TWO IDIOT!"
"Ugh….everyone…your voice please…." Groan Tsuna for the n-th time that morning.
"Kufufufu~ so the little bunny is sick here is he?"
Tsuna groand again at the new sound echoing in his room, and not surprised at all seeing his male mist guardian sitting in the foot of his bed with that creepy smile of him.
"Not you too Mukuro…." Groan Tsuna. Why do all this troublemaker keep appearing one after another when he needed a peace the most for the day?
"Oya oya~ Is that your way of greeting those who came to check on you because they heard you're sick?" snicker the illusionist.
"Yeah, when the said person responsible for switching my hot bath tub with cold water without my consent just for the sake of prank."
"That's called hobby Tsunayoshi."
"What a sick hobby you have Mukuro. You're the one who supposed to be laying on the bed then."
"Ahahaha~ Is that means Tsuna is now sick because of all of us?"
"THAT'S EXTREME!"
"STUPID! DIDN'T JYUUDAIME TOLD YOU TO KEEP YOUR VOLUME DOWN ALREADY!?"
"BUT YOU'RE SHOUTING TOO TAKO-HEAD!"
"You people are disturbing the peace."
"Kufufufu~ aren't you part of the disturbance here Skylark-kun?"
"Hey, calm down everyone, Tsuna is sick after all~"
And of course, no one listening to the rain guardian as they keep bickering and sneering around inside their sick boss room. Snuggling with his whole body inside the blanket now, Tsuna just wishing someone would come to save him from this nightmare quickly so he could at least take a nap for his now worsening headache and fever.
"Oh~ so that's what happened?"
At the sudden gentle voice from the door, the now-not-boys-anymore inside the room turn towards the door, and find Kyoko, Haru, and Chrome stood there with Haru holding a tray of tea for Tsuna.
"Kyoko-chan~~~" oh how Tsuna wish he could kiss his angel right here and now for came at the perfect time.
Kyoko smiling back at Tsuna and then turn to his guardians who suddenly gulping at the menacing aura from her. "So you guys are the reason Tsuna-kun is sick now?"
"I-IT WAS AN ACCIDENT KYOKO!"
"That's true! No way I would make Jyuudaime sick on purpose!"
"But you still have fault in it didn't you!" shout Haru to her boyfriend. Gokudera tensed and didn't dare to open his mouth any further at his girlfriend's glare.
"…Kyoya…Mukuro-sama…" Chrome calling out the two men with her usual façade, but the two mentioned men knows her too well to not stare at her eyes at this kind of time.
"Kyoko~ could you please throw them out of the window? I can't sleep…." Ask Tsuna almost cutely as he hiding inside his blanket again.
All his guardian jerked at his command towards his fiancée and staring horrorly towards the pair now.
"Wait, you can't be serious now right Kyoko-chan?" ask Yamamoto with a bit of fear in his voice.
Kyoko just keep her smiling face as she pull out her fan and engulfing it with her blue flame. "Well you all DID making my dear Tsuna-kun sick on our supposed-to-be date day. So good day boys~"
With one swift from her fan, the five boys swept away from the ground, smashing through the big window in Tsuna's room, and sent flying towards who-knows-which-part of the forest behind the mansion.
"Ah~ You are my savior girls~" Tsuna says weakly as he pulling his head from the blanket and looking at the 3 girls who now walking towards his bed.
"Anything for you Tsuna-san!" chirp Haru as she put the tray on his bed side table. With Chrome's nod follow her.
"Ah, Chrome, if you don't mind…" Tsuna gestured towards the broken window.
"Sure bossu," swiftly Chrome materialized her trident, and then lighting up her mist Vongola ring. With one swift from her hand, the broken window looks like a rewinded video with the shattered glass sticking back together and forming the perfect window like it was before the 'accident'.
"This will do for now, I'll ask Giannini to repair later," says Chrome.
"Ah….you girls are really an angel~" whine Tsuna as he finally slumped peacefully to his fluffy bed.
A/N : How long has I disappear from here? A year? Probably more? Well, yeah….hello people? ^^! Hehe~ I got a bit busy with collage and fangirling stuff and writer block. But then I reminded a few days ago was Tsuna's birthday, and I suddenly got this idea, and yeah…here it is. Hahaha XD
