I'd like to thank Charlie-Rose94, annabellex2, winterschild11, Franshes, DeniseDEMD, and Sir RCCS for all taking the extra time to review. Yay mentions are back! I think I've got a system down to do this. Sorry for falling behind. I will try to keep up with them. Sorry for the lack of the last few chapters.
Chapter 11: One Step Forward
Kyle was sitting in his bedroom alone. Jared has left and he felt alone. It was odd, he had never felt this way before. He knew all he had to do was call Miles or Lucas or even Caleb and they'd hang out with him. That wasn't the point though.
Kyle sighed and continued to stare at the ceiling above him. He couldn't help but think about the concert last night and then the guys packing up the bus this morning. Kyle had gotten a moment alone with Jared to share his goodbye, but it wasn't enough. Kyle already missed the bleached blonde.
"Kyle."
Kyle turned and saw James standing in the doorway of his bedroom. He arched a brow at his father.
"Can you come downstairs for a minute," James asked.
"Why?" Kyle asked.
"Don't talk back, just get your butt down stairs," James said.
Kyle groaned and crawled out of bed. He walked past James. He heard James move on to Leora's room and ask her to come down stairs as well.
Once the three were down stairs James ushered the two to the living room. There was a woman sitting with Jenny. She seemed to be in her late twenties. She had long blonde hair and bright blue eyes and freckles. Lots of freckles. She looked up from the toys she was playing with, with Jenny.
"Kyle, Leora, I'd like to introduce you to Marcie. She is Jenny's nanny. I am not saying she is your nanny. I am asking you two to be nice and respect her," James said looking at Kyle. "Also to help out if she needs it and not back talk." His eyes remained on Kyle.
"Why are you looking at me?" Kyle asked.
"I know you Kyle," James replied. "Now since I am going to be working days that means Marcie will be here most days with the girls," he said.
"Girls?" Leora asked confused.
"Miri," James said.
"When do I get to meet Miri?" Marcie asked.
"Soon hopefully, Adam said he would be here," James said looking at his watch. The front door opened signaling Adam's arrival.
"Sorry I'm late," Adam said walking into the living room with Miri on his hip. She saw Kyle and smiled reaching for him.
"Hey Miri," Kyle said quickly taking his niece from Adam. She clapped and babbled happily. "That right Miri, it's cool uncle Kyle to the rescue."
Adam rolled his eyes at that and introduced himself to Marcie. She smiled and told him what he needed to know. Kyle eventually handed Miri over.
"So we're done here? Can I go back to my bedroom?" Kyle asked.
"Yes," James said. The twins started to leave. James stopped Kyle though. "Actually Kyle I have something for you," he said. Kyle looked up at James confused. James just led him to Kendall's office.
Sitting on the desk was a black guitar case. Kyle arched a brow at James. He smiled to his son and gestured to the case. Kyle stepped up to the case and opened it. There was an acoustic guitar nestled in there. It looked to be in great condition
"Your dad heard you messing around in the studio on career days and he says you've still got it Kyle. Those lessons you took really paid off. He had your grandma dig this out of storage," James said.
"This is dad's?" Kyle asked looking to James.
James nodded his head. "He says you're very talented even if you don't see it now. He wants you to have it. Maybe you can rediscover yourself."
Kyle smiled as he picked up the guitar. He looked it over and ran his fingers over the strings. He smiled and turned to James once more.
"Why didn't he give it to me then?" Kyle asked confused.
"Your grandma had trouble finding it. She literally just brought it here abut an hour ago. I asked your dad and he said it was fine that I gave it to you," James said.
Kyle nodded his head. He put the guitar away and headed up to his bedroom. He shut the door behind him. He set the guitar by his desk and pulled his cell phone out. He dialed a number quickly and waited for the other end to pick up.
"Hello?"
"Hey dad, I just wanted to say thanks," Kyle said quickly.
"Ah so your grandma found it," Kendall said knowingly. "You're welcome Kyle. You've got talent with music. You've got keen ear and know what you're talking about. It's up to you to decide what you want, but it doesn't hurt to have options. The choice is yours, just know I believe in you Kyle," he said.
"Yeah, thanks dad," Kyle said.
"I gotta go, but I'll talk to you another time ok," Kendall said.
"Yeah dad, bye," Kyle said. They hung up.
Kyle looked to the guitar once more. He knew what Kendall was implying. Writing songs was one thing, but making music? That was something entirely new to Kyle.
-We Are-
Lilly bit her lip as she waited for her date to show up. His name was Artie Griffin and she had met him at the Palm Wood during Inside Joke's party. He was a step up from Tony, and she hoped Logan and Carlos would approve.
"Hot date tonight?"
Lilly liked to her bedroom door. Miles was standing there with his arms crossed over his chest.
"Yes, he's a step up from Tony," Lilly said.
"I thought you went on one date with Tony," Miles said confused.
"Tony is a total skeeze, he was scamming on girls right in front of me. I just...I rebounded," Lilly admitted.
"Only took you about five months," Miles replied.
"Shut up," Lilly said shaking her head.
"So what's his name and am I able to beat him up if I have to," Miles asked.
"His name is Artie, it would probably be a fair fight, I doubt you'll have to beat him up though. He seems like a nice guy," Lilly said with a smile. "Where's this coming from, I've been under the impression that you are mad at me or something," she added confused.
"Oh, it's a, well you see," Miles said scratching the back of his neck embarrassed. "You've been so mopey and whiny lately Lil. I get you're heart broken over Kyle and all, but it seems a bit drawn out to me. Like I said it's been about five months. I'm sorry," Miles said quickly.
"I want to be over him Miles, I really do," Lilly sighed.
"Maybe you just need to date a nice guy. Maybe this Artie dude will be able help you move on," Miles suggested.
Lilly nodded her head. Maybe he was right. She sure hoped this would help her get over Kyle. She didn't know why she was so hung up on him, but she was. It didn't help that he was constantly over here or she was at his house to see Leora.
Lilly jumped as she heard a car pull up to the curb. Miles quickly stopped her from leaving.
"I'm on orders to hold you off for a moment," Miles said with a smirk.
"You are awful," Lilly said glaring at her brother.
"Nah, I'm getting your car keys for the night for doing this," Miles replied. Lilly rolled her eyes and shook her head. She pushed Miles aside and left her bedroom as Carlos called for her.
Lilly quickly looked over her hair and makeup. She smoothed out her shirt and made sure she was ready. She smiled and headed down stairs. Artie was talking to Carlos and Logan. Lilly smiled at the sight of the raven haired boy with hazel eyes. He was everything a girl would want in a guy. He had the looks,he was smart, and he made her laugh.
"I'm Artie Griffin, I met Lilly at Inside Joke's party at the Palm Woods last week," Artie said answering their questions.
"Artie, I hope my dads aren't bothering you," Lilly said as she walked up to the three. Artie smiled and shook his head.
"No, they we're just asking a few question," Artie replied.
"Griffin? Like Mercedes Griffin?" Carlos asked Artie.
"That's my mom," Artie said nodding his head.
"Which would make Arthur your grandfather," Logan said quickly.
"Yes sir, he still talks about Big Time Rush," Artie replied with a smile.
"Ok you met him, we are gonna get going. I know curfew is eleven," Lilly said to Carlos and Logan. "If Miles scratched my car there will be hell to pay," she threatened.
"Don't worry Lil, it only took me two tries to get my licenses," Miles assured the newly bleached blonde. Lilly sent him a glare before leaving. Once the door shut behind them Lilly turned to Artie.
"I am sorry about that," she said quickly.
"It's ok, they just wanna make sure you're not going out with some delinquent," Artie replied. Lilly giggled at that.
Artie walked ahead of her and opens the passengers car door for her. Lilly smiled and got into the car. Artie quickly walked around to his side and got in. Lilly smiled, Artie was a gentleman. He was truly everything a girl could want, so why was Kyle still lingering in her thoughts.
-We Are-
Jared sat back and listened to Noah and Matt argue over a movie to watch. It was only their first on the road and already it was feeling a bit cramped for the bleached blonde's taste. It had only been about six hours and they still had quite a few to go. Jared was jus so used to being able to leave whenever he felt like it.
It's not that Jared wasn't excited for touring, he was, it's just he missed Kyle and not being able to see him whenever he wanted was really getting to him. He had briefly seen him this morning before they left, but it wasn't enough. It was never enough.
Matt and Noah continued to yell and get on Jared's last nerve. If this is what the next three months were gonna be like, Jared wasn't sure this was going to be a fun tour.
"Oh my god just pick a movie," Jared sighed annoyed.
"I wanna watch Harry Potter," Noah whined.
"You've watched all of them a million times," Matt argued.
Jared groaned. These two were never going to agree. Jared glanced over at Roldy who was sitting back and reading a book. He didn't want to get involved with the argument. Jared was sure it was because he didn't want to watch Harry Potter again and just didn't want to get Noah mad by agreeing with Matt.
Jared rolled his eyes and pulled his phone out. He quickly texted Kyle. It was better than listening to the two morons arguing. His phone buzzed and Jared smiled. He read Kyle's text.
Nothing much, just bored everyone is out doing stuff and I'm home alone like a loser.
Jared chuckled and quickly replied that Kyle wasn't a loser. Jared waited for the reply. He looked to Matt and Noah as they made a deal. Matt got to watch his move first and then Noah could watch Harry Potter.
Jared looked to his phone once Kyle replied. He smiled at the message.
Miss you. It's weird that you're not just a small drive away anymore.
I know, I'm already hating this busy. Noah is driving me crazy and his cat is awful.
Last minute Noah had forgotten to find someone to watch his cat so she had to come on tour with them. Jared didn't hate Katty, but on a small bus it was a small space for four guys as it was. The cat was always in the way and barely not getting stepped on.
No way! Katty Purr-Purr is adorable.
Usually, but on a cramped bus with four guys, not so much.
Lol. I hope things get better. Has Noah tried forcing you all to sit through the Harry Potter movies yet?
Jared actually laughed earning weird looks from his friends. He smiled at them and waved them off before telling to Kyle that was just the heated argument not even five minutes ago.
That's funny. I gotta go Jer, I'll talk to you later k?
Jared sighed and replied one final time before putting his phone away. He turned his attention to the movie Matt had put on. It was some action movie with lots of explosions. Jared looked to his friends Matt was already way absorbed in the movie. Noah was pouting about having to watch this movie. Roldy however was looking at Jared over his book. Once they locked eyes he arched a brow at his friend. Jared just shrugged and sat back.
Jared tried to focus on the movie, but now all he was thinking about was Kyle. It was ridiculous how much missed his boyfriend already.
Jared sighed and gave up watching the movie. He stood and walked to the back room of the bus away from his friends. He just needed to clear his head and not strangle Noah or Matt.
The door slid open and Jared glanced up and saw Roldy entering the room. He slipped the door shut behind him.
"Everything ok Jared?" Roldy asked.
"I don't know, it's only been six hours and I'm already ready to rip my hair out. Matt and Noah only seem to argue and I just..." Jared trailed off. He didn't want to admit that he was missing Kyle. He wasn't some pathetic love struck teenager.
"Miss Kyle?" Roldy asked.
Jared hung his head and didn't speak. Roldy could read him like a book. Then again after being friends for so many years seemed to do that to someone. They both knew what was bugging the other person. They knew each other deepest darkest secrets.
"I don't get it Ro, it's never been like this before," Jared said still not looking at his friends.
"That's because you've never been in love before Jared. I don't think I've ever declare your love for anyone other than the kid," Roldy teased. Jared laughed, he was used to the jokes now.
"No, Kyle is different and I can figure it out," Jared sighed looking up at his friend finally.
"Don't worry about figuring it out. That will only make things worse. Once I stopped thinking too hard about me and Noah, things just fell into place. This is the happiest I've ever been Jer," Roldy said.
"I can't stop worrying Ro, there is always going to be someone out there to push me down or not like that I am twenty and dating my boss's sixteen year old son," Jared said.
"Don't let them get to you Jer," Roldy said shaking his head.
"Maybe Maggie and Suzie are right though. Maybe this age thing will come back to bite me in the butt," Jared sighed.
"Maggie and Suzie? I told them to leave you alone," Roldy said shaking his head. "Age shouldn't matter Jared, but I can't make your decisions for you. I just know that when you're with Kyle you're happier than you've ever been, even if you don't see it just yet. I don't even think he notices it yet," he said. Jared smiled at his friend.
"Thanks Ro," Jared said with smile.
"No problem Jer, I've got your back no matter what," Roldy said grinning.
"Can I tell you something then, and promise not to freak out," Jared asked slowly.
"What did you do?" Roldy asked slowly.
"It's not me," Jared assured his friend. Rodly looked confused and gestures for Jared to get on with it. "Jace was at the show last night."
"What?"
-We Are-
Carlos sighed contently as leaned against Logan's bare chest. They hadn't had any alone time lately. Carlos had been working crazy hours and they almost always seemed to have at least one kid home. Right now all three kids were gone and it was just the two of them. They had taken advantage of that.
"That was amazing Logie," Carlos said pulling the blanket up around him trying to keep the warmth from escaping.
"Good to know I've still got it," Logan chuckled and wrapped his arms around his husband.
"Definitely," Carlos agreed.
The two lapsed into silence for a moment.
"What do you think of Lilly's date?" Logan asked.
"He's seems like a good kid, but if he's anything like his mother," Carlos started.
"Let's hope not," Logan said quickly remembering how demanding and mean Mercedes could be when she wanted to be, which was almost always. They hadn't seen Mercedes since Arthur had retired and she declined to take his place, making Gustavo the next CEO of RCMCBT Global Net Sanyoid Corporation.
"It's been awhile since we've seen her, maybe she's different now," Carlos reasoned.
"Or she met someone who countered her meanness with his niceness and she crushed his soul," Logan joked. Carlos smacked Logan's arm playfully. The pair laughed shook their heads. They had to trust Lilly to have good judgement.
"Are you worried about Layla going to the concert," Carlos asked finally. Layla had left after school with Millie, Erika, and Erika's parents; Justine and Tyke, for the concert that was tomorrow.
"I trust Justine and Tyke and plus Kendall is gonna be at the concert," Logan said.
"Oh I forgot about that," Carlos said.
"If I know Kendall hell surprise the girls with some backstage passes or something like that," Logan said, "don't worry I already let Justine and Tyke know about Kendall. They weren't surprised in the least bit," he added.
"Did Kendall say something?" Carlos asked.
"He said he had a surprise for the girls," Logan shrugged. Carlos nodded his head. That sounded like something Kendall would do.
The pair fell silent once more. Carlos knew the kids would be home soon. He just didn't want to get out of bed. He hadn't had much time for just him and Logan. He felt bad for neglecting his husband.
"Stop thinking Los, just relax," Logan whispered in his ear.
"Sorry, it's just the kids will be home soon," Carlos apologized. Logan didn't tense like Carlos had thought he would. Logan only pulled the Latino closer.
"So, they are old enough to take care of themselves and I'm sure they already ate. You and I are not leaving this bed," Logan said. Carlos smiled and snuggled more into Logan, showing he agreed with him.
-We Are-
Layla, Erkia, and Mille all looked around the hotel room they had all to themselves. Well Erika's parents had the adjoining room next door, so they weren't really alone, but it was close enough for them.
"The concert is tomorrow!" Erika said as she jumped on the bed. Layla and Millie laughed at her eagerness.
"It's gonna be so awesome," Millie said joining Erika on the bed.
"It's gonna be torture waiting for Icsis though, having to wait for two bands before them," Erika said.
"TBA is pretty good," Millie said.
"I hear Inside Joke is pretty good," Layla said from her spot on the other bed. Erika and Millie looked at her confused.
"Really? Have you heard their music?" Erika asked interestedly.
"A little bit, my uncle Kendall is their manager. He only takes the best musicians at Rocque Records. So they had to be good if he liked them enough to sign them," Layla said reasonably. Erika and Millie shared a look and nodded their heads.
"Cool, I still really want to see Icsis," Erika said.
"We know Erika,it's all you've been talking about for the last week. We just have one more day!" Millie said excitedly.
"I can't wait to see Icy and Timber!" Erika stated as she started jumping again.
"I can't wait to see Glacia!" Layla said excitedly. Glacia was Layla's favorite band member because she was a lesbian and had been part of the reason Layla had found the courage to tell her dads she was a lesbian.
"Chili is pretty cool," Millie said, "winter too."
The girls resumed their jumping. Layla grabbed her speakers from her bag and put on some Icsis music. It was loud enough for them to hear but not loud enough to cause too much trouble. They started singing along and dancing.

Jake tapped his pencil on his notebook as he read over the the chapter he had been assigned as homework. He was taking notes and trying to get it done quick, but history was so boring.
"You look like you could use a break."
Jake looked over at Mason. He was sitting on the couch with a book in his hand. Adam was in the other room sleeping, and Damien was out with Tito doing God knows what.
"I could, what are you reading," Jake asked setting his pencil aside and turning to face Mason. In the month he had been Jake hadn't talked much with Mason.
"Wicked, it's my favorite book. I've read it like a million times," Mason said setting his book aside. He joined Jake at the table as Jake closed his history book.
"Can I ask a question?" Jake asked slowly.
"Go ahead," Mason replied.
"Why are you still here? I don't mean to sound rude, but aren't you like in school or something," Jake asked.
"Barely, I never wanted to go to college, my mom forced me to and I'm close to flunking out. That was happening before I came here," Mason said.
"I've always wanted to go to college, I want to do something with my life and a degree helps you get places. My dad almost didn't go to college, but after he did he was able to do so much more and get to where he is now," Jake said.
"I get that, but college isn't for everyone," Mason said, "if you should lecture anyone it's your brother. His hopes of college have flown out the window with this kid," Mason said.
"I know, I've tried, but Adam is Adam. He's gonna do what he wants," Jake said. There really was no talking to Adam once he set his mind on something.
"I've noticed," Mason said with a small chuckle.
Jake looked at Mason. He was wondering why they had never really hung out. Maybe it was because they had a past, however brief it was, it was still a little awkward. Mason had given Jake space to let him decide their friendship or not. Mason wasn't a bad guy. He was nice and knew who he was. He wasn't fake. He was just Mason and Jake respected that.
"Ok so about that break, I know this vegan place that has amazing food," Jake said.
"Sure, it beats sitting around here," Mason said.
"Let's go, I can never talk Day into coming with me. He loves bacon too much," Jake said shaking his head.
"I know, my friends thought it was weird when I started eating vegan," Mason said.
"I know right," Jake said.
The two grabbed their jackets and headed out talking about made them stop eating meat. Mason had just decided to be healthier when he saw how some of his friends ate and gained weight. He never wanted to get that bad. Jake had stopped playing sports and stared gaining weight and didn't like it. He chose to eat a bit healthier and work out a bit more. Staying in shape was something Jake had always prided himself on. As the two walked down to the entrance their conversation shifted and they realized they had more in common than they had thought.
-We Are-
Damien walked into the apartment. He saw Adam sitting on the counter in the kitchen eating ice cream from the container. He smiled at Damien and pointed to the silverware drawer.
"Hungry there Addie?" Damien asked walking over and grabbing a spoon.
"Yeah," Adam replied simply. "I wanted chocolate ice cream and Jake's not here so I had to settled for cookie dough," Adam said.
"Jake's not here?" Damien asked.
"Nope, neither is Mason," Adam said.
"Oh," Damien said as he too a spoonful of ice cream.
"What the matter Day, jealous?" Adam asked playfully.
"No, I trust Jake," Damien said quickly.
"I was teasing Day relax," Adam said laughing.
"So how's the job search going?" Damien asked.
"I've got an interview for at that diner Saturn," Adam said.
"Server?" Damien asked. Adam nodded his head.
"A jobs a job, I'm not gonna be too picky. Especially with this little one on the way and Miri. I have to start helping out more," Adam said.
"I agree, but you also have to stop beating yourself up about this too. You made a mistake and it's in the past," Damien said.
"I know that, but every time I see Miri I'm reminded of what I did and then Cooper, he's still hurting. I hate that I am the reason for it too. It kills me to see him so hurt and lost," Adam said hanging his head. He set the ice cream aside and jumped down from the counter.
"I'm not saying forget Adam, I'm saying learn. You and Cooper still have a lot to figure out," Damien said.
"Yeah, I know," Adam said looking down at the ground.
"The best way to figure things out is to talk to him. Either figure things out and get closure or get back together, I don't know, but all I know is nothing is getting fixed with you two avoiding one another," Damien said.
"I don't know what to say Day," Adam said walking over to the couch and sitting down. Damien grabbed the ice cream and followed Adam. He gave the brunette the ice cream. Adam smiled and took a big scoop.
"I'm not saying go talk to him right this second Adam. You have to get your shit together and figure out what it is you want," Damien said.
"Thanks Day, you're a great friend," Adam said.
The two sat in silence for a moment eat ice cream together. Adam seemed deep in thought. Damien glanced to his Xbox. He smiled and jumped up grabbing his controllers. He tossed one to Adam.
"How about some Zombie killing to take your mind off things?" Damien asked. Adam grinned at him thankful.
-We Are-
Jared and the guys were walking around the stadium stage with TBA and Icsis. They were all scoping out the location for tomorrow's show. They were all excited to be on tour. The girls were all chatting excitedly with Icy, the lead singer of Icsis.
Icy was a tall pale skinned woman. She had short cropped blonde hair which was usually covered with a long snowy white wig. There were other four members of Icsis. First there Chili; their back up female singer and bassist. Chili was a Latina with a bright red hair cut. She was loud and in your face honest. Then there was Glacia; the backup guitarist and backing vocals as well. She was a short girl with long Raven black hair an pale white skin. Next was Timber; the bands drummer and male vocals. Timber was Icy's boyfriend and had dyed his short shaggy hair white to match Icy's stage hair. Lastly there was Winter; the bands keyboardist. Winter was Icy's sister and she a tall and blonde as well. She was the reasonable one and kept the others in check.
Everyone was just getting a feel for the stage. They were all exited for the show tomorrow. Sure, they had a show last night, but that was in LA that was home. This was their first away show. They were truly starting life on the road.
"This is gonna be so cool!" Noah said excitedly as he ran around the stage.
Jared watched Noah and couldn't help but think about his conversation with Roldy, after he had mentioned his cousin Jace. Roldy had freaked and asked him not to tell the others. This wasn't something they needed Noah finding out. It would definitely bring Noah down. They didn't need that right now.
"Come on Jared, don't be such a downer. I'm sorry for all the yelling," Noah said running over to his friend.
"Sorry Noah, I'm just a little tired it was a long bus ride. I just want to go to the hotel and get some sleep," Jared said.
"I hear that," Icy said walking up to the two, "but just imagine tomorrow night a sold out stadium," she said gesturing to where the crowd would be.
"I can't wait," Noah said jumpin up and down. Icy laughed at his eagerness.
"I can't believe that we're actually here," Roldy said walking up to the three.
"Well believe it kid, you guys earned it," Timber said joining them as well.
"Yeah your guys music is awesome and when I saw you guys performing with Big Time Rush I knew I wanted you guys to join us on tour," Icy said.
"Yep and she spent quite awhile convincing us," Timber chuckled as he placed an arm around Icy's waist.
"Well thank you so much," Jared said turning to Icy.
"You're welcome, I'm glad you guys said yes. At least we have you with us on the U.S. Leg of the tour," Icy said.
"Who knows maybe we can join you in Europe too," Noah said.
"I'd love it if you could," Icy said.
"I don't know," Jared said slowly.
"What's holding you back? Don't you want to be known worldwide?" Glacia asked walking up to the small group.
"I do, it's just a long time to be away on tour and I-" Jared cut himself off.
"Aw, you've got someone back home don't you," Glacia asked. Jared blushed and nodded his head.
"Yeah, I don't know if I can be away that long," Jared admitted.
"Oh how cute, I was the same way when I first started touring. Jenna didn't like me being away for so long, but hey here we are almost ten years later and still in love. If it's meant to be it'll last," Glacia said.
"Look kid his business is a tough business. You've got to put in the hours to get the recognition and fans. If you don't give one hundred and ten percent this business will tear you up and apart," Timber said.
"I don't think you know who you're taking to," Matt said joining the conversation. "Jared has wanted this since we were in middle school. He got a chance when Kendall held that talent search but we missed the deadline. Jared took it upon himself to get our demos to Kendall and get in that contest," Matt said.
"I thought Avery won that contest," Glacia said slowly.
"She did, but Kendall loved our demos and signed us anyways. He took the time to help us find our sound and what we wanted to be as a band. I don't think we would be here if Jared wasn't determined to give his all and then some," Matt said.
"Wow, how did you get him to listen to your demos if you missed the deadline?" Glacia asked confused.
"Well it wasn't easy," Jared replied with a smile as he looked to his band mates. They all laughed and shook their heads.
"Look, if you and your..." Glacia started slowly.
"Boyfriend, Kyle," Jared said.
"If you and Kyle are meant to be you'll work through all the hardships that coming with dating a rockstar on the road. It's an adjustment, but it's doable," Glacia said with a wink.
"Thanks, I'll keep that in mind," Jared said smiling.
"So is he cute?" Glacia asked curiously.
"Yeah," Jared said blushing.
"Glacia, don't heckle the kid," Chili said in a thick Latina accent.
"I'm sorry, I'm a sucker for romance, you know that," Glacia said looking to Chili with a smile. Chili and Icy laughed shook their heads. Glacia was one of a kind.
Soon the bands headed back to their buses and made their way to the hotel they would be staying at for the night. Kendall was taking care of the guys hotel rooms. Once he returned with the keys.
"Ok Jared and Roldy, 4110," Kendall said handing them their keys. "Noah and Matt 4112."
"Really?" Matt asked looking at Noah and Roldy.
"Gustavo did the same thing to me and the guys," Kendall replied, "and when he wasn't looking, we swapped room keys. Now I'll be in room 4114," Kendall said walking away.
Jared and Noah swapped keys. Jared looked to Matt.
"Looks like it's you and me Matty," Jared said.
The four made their way up to their rooms. Matt and Jared said good nights to Roldy and Noah. Once they were in their room smart turned to Jared.
"What's going on, you've been acting strange all day," Matt asked.
"I don't know what you're talking about," Jared said as he claimed the bed by the window after having left his bag by the door.
"Don't patronize me, I'm not dumb Munroe," Matt said.
"You're losing it Matty," Jared said.
"Oh please, this has something to do with last night. You got all jumpy and pissy last night after our set. I think Kyle was the only reason you didn't snap last night. What happened?" Matt asked his concern showing.
"Your right, Kyle kept me on check, Jace showed up last night," Jared said finally. Matt's jaw dropped.
So there you go another chapter done. Kendall gave Kyle his old guitar. Kyle has a decision to make. What does he want to do with his life? Inside Joke is on tour! Kyle and Jared already miss each other. Are they meant to be? Lilly went on a date with Artie. Is he a step up from Tony? Jake and Mason have found some common ground will they become friends? Adam has some soul searching to do. What does Jace showing up to the Inside Joke's concert mean? Why can't Noah know?
There you go, another chapter. So many questions! You will get some answers soon, I'll try to be better at updating. I hope you enjoyed this chapter. I worked hard on it and I'm proud of how this turned out.
