(February 13th 2015 – 11:00 AM – Marie's house, New York – Earth)
The three Summoners were on their way to the girl's house, all of the champions stayed at their respective homes except for Leona who decided to go in case Marie didn't believed them. She was wearing heavy winter clothes as well as a hat and a pair of sunglasses, it was the best that no one discovered who she was, even if most people would believe it's a cosplay.
¨There's one thing I never told you and is that Marie had some sort of crush on me back at the school.¨ Matt was looking at Marie's house that was on the other side of the street.
¨And that's a problem because…¨Nick asked as the group was crossing the street heading towards the house.
¨Because Matt doesn't want any problems with his new girlfriend, am I right?¨ Claire smiled at the blonde who looked away hiding his evident blush.
When they got to the door Nick knocked but no response came from the inside, they waited a bit and tried again but it seemed as if nobody was inside. The black haired boy shrugged as they started to walk away but someone was moving towards the front door, when the group turned back several locks from the door could be heard being unlocked; the gate opened revealing the figure of a blonde girl telling them to go in.
Once inside the group looked everywhere to check if there was anything suspicious but at plain sight it was a normal house. Marie locked the door again and led the Summoners and Leona to the main room where there was some food already prepared on the table, however there were only two plates, one of them empty. The Radiant Dawn sat on the couch and watched the TV where the news lady was speaking, meanwhile the Summoners took a seat by the table, all three facing the blonde girl.
¨Marie, we came here because there is something we need to talk about¨ Claire spoke slowly and tried to be as subtle as possible for the house owner to understand.
¨I guess you heard about the incidents that happened around the globe last week, right?¨ Matt scratched the back of his neck ¨It may sound weird what we are going to tell you, but you gotta trust us, ok?¨ He chuckled.
¨What? About Kha'Zix trying to kill you guys in front of Nick's house?¨ Marie's response left speechless to the group who were looking at each other with their eyes widened ¨I watched you guys fighting alongside other champions a week ago, you made quite a fuss that day¨ She said while curling her golden hair.
¨You knew about this and didn't tell us?¨Claire muttered
¨We didn't talk ever since you stopped playing with me. Should I trust you then?¨ A sarcastic smile appeared on her face. ¨Besides I tried to approach Matt that day but he didn't believe me¨ Claire and Nick looked at the blonde Summoner angrily
¨What was I supposed to do? Tell her about our secret?¨ He shrugged as the black haired made a facepalm
¨Maybe tell us? You keep acting dumb!¨ Claire stood from her chair shouting at Matt.
The discussion kept going with shouts at each other, Leona tried to make them pay attention at her but their voices were getting louder each second, she walked to the table and slammed her fist making the Summoners stay quiet ¨The box is telling something important!¨ They all looked at the TV which was showing an image of a bank surrounded by police cars at the entrance.
¨… it appears that the animal-masked robbers have taken hostages almost everyone in the bank, while there have been many casualties from the police it is unknown if… wait, it appears that someone is leaving the building¨
The camera focused on the criminal that left the bank, however she we was not wearing any mask and apparently no body armor, her long cyan ponytails were flowing in the wind. When the camera got a better view of her face the Summoner's eyes widened, it was Jinx the Loose Cannon, her grin was terrifying and showed how crazy she was.
¨I hope they don't know she's here…¨ Matt whispered looking at his phone which was ringing, the call came from his own house which meant either Cait or Vi was calling at him. ¨Excuse me, there is someone calling me¨ He walked upstairs so the sound from the TV wouldn't bother him.
Back on the scene the Loose Cannon grabbed her rocket launcher and started to aim at the police cars that were used as cover. Even though her maniacal laugh couldn't be heard from the TV the group could feel it inside of their heads, a rocket flew from her gun and hit a car making it explode, and then another and another, they flew exploding every car that was in front of the bank, hopefully no one got killed during the explosions which was Jinx's plan. Her grin still visible after the smoke and fire screen she walked back into the building.
Matt came down from the second floor and ran towards the front door unlocking every lock however some of them required a key that Marie was carrying.
¨Matt what's going on?¨ Nick stood up.
¨It's Vi. Caitlyn called and said she went directly to the bank to stop Jinx¨ Matt walked back and forth between the couch and the door waiting for Marie to open it.
¨I'm sure she'll be fine, after all with those gauntlets no one will stop her… right?¨ Marie opened the remaining locks but blocked Matt's way.
¨If someone discovers more champions are in this world don't you think people will panic? Besides Matt, if you go there you will risk your life¨ Claire grabbed the blonde and pinned him to the wall at the side of the door but he managed to release from the brown haired's grip.
¨I have to do this. It wouldn't forgive myself if Cait lose her only friend in this world¨ Claire muted herself as no answers came from her head which gave Matt the enough time to leave the house and run towards the bank, after he left Marie closed the door fast and locked it in no time.
¨I'll go too, can't leave him alone¨ Nick stepped forward but Leona stepped in front of him blocking his path. ¨He is my friend¨
¨You can barely cast a few spells and you already want to go into the fray again?¨ The Radiant Dawn crossed her arms and moved everytime Nick tried to go through
(February 13th 2015 – 10:30 AM – New York – Earth)
The van stopped picking up the last member of the crew, inside they were preparing the equipment required for the job, a bag contained a lot of rubber masks that were animal themed, the leader grabbed the one that was a rooster and put it on.
¨Richard, what's the status on the other team? Have they arrived?¨ The bald put his bear mask and loaded up his weapons.
¨Waiting on our signal, all you gotta do is get in, control the civvies and silence any cops. Then it will be just us and the vault¨ The leader called Richard that way by his crew looked at the last man who entered the van, an old man with a few gray hairs who seemed to go through a lot of things in the past but was prepared for any new challenge that may overcome him, the rooster gave him the double barrel shotgun he carried with him. ¨Quite a weapon you got there, did you make it?¨
The old man inspected his weapon ¨Stole it from a bunch of kids who had no idea how to pull the trigger¨ The deep voice was from Malcom Graves, also known in the League as the Outlaw who put an owl mask over his head. When the van got to the entrance of the bank the crew got out fast with their bags full of equipment, as they got in one of the criminals shot at the cop that was near the entrance who made everyone inside panic.
¨Everybody down!¨ The bear masked criminal shoot at the ceiling, the civilians got down to the ground placing their hands behind the head.
Richard climbed to the counter pointing his gun at the panicked people walking back and forth ¨Listen up! This is a robbery, we wanna harm no one. Think of your loved ones, don't try being a hero, shut up and stay down, and this will be over in no time¨
From the other side of the building an elevator arrived, inside more criminals got in however one of them was not wearing a mask.
¨Where is your mask?¨ Richard yelled at Jinx who was chuckling while holding her minigun.
¨Come on sweet pea, what's the point of causing havoc if no one will remember your face?¨ She pointed her gun at a bunch of officers who were rushing through the main door, Jinx shot in their direction which made them retreat ¨Why don't you do your thing while I do mine?¨ Her sarcastic tone made the leader angry, he climbed down from the counter and led the a group of heisters to the upper floor where the vault was located, the rest was designated to control the civilians.
From the outside the front door was heavily guarded by the police, a lot of patrol cars were blocking the streets and fences were stopping any other civilians from going in. The Loose Cannon stepped out of the bank with her rocket launcher over her shoulder, the officers were pointing at her ¨Drop your guns and hands in the air¨ The captain of the team was shouting through a megaphone but that didn't help as Jinx was starting to shoot a rocket at the police car that was far away from a, she turned to the next one making the cops run away from it; her maniacal laugh could be heard at the slightest due to the explosions. Once all of the vehicles were destroyed she packed her rocket launcher and walked back inside as if nothing else happened.
On the top floor of the bank Graves, Richard and three other members were in front of the vault door that seemed to be closed up tight, the crew members took a drill from the bag the leader was carrying and placed it on the ground. ¨This is gonna take some time, all of you go downstairs, except you owl, stay here¨ The crew members nodded as they ran back to the main floor, Richard fumbled in his pockets grabbing something small ¨It's time to break in¨ the rooster whispered as he disappeared in front of Graves.
The Outlaw looked everywhere, Richard was no longer with him by the vault ¨Boss, where you at?¨ The champion shouted and some metal knocking came from the inside of the vault ¨Who's there?¨
¨Get the drill out of the vault door and call the guys back¨ Richard's voice was coming from the vault. When Graves deactivated the drill and pulled it away the door was opening, all of the crew members climbed to the top floor and saw their leader holding a small black crystal fragment on his hand ¨Pack everything up boys¨
Bags full of cash were being thrown at the main floor where Jinx was, once the vault got empty all of the crew joined the Loose Cannon who was shooting at the ground near the civilians with a big grin on her face ¨Are you done? 'Cause I wanna go outside again…¨ The champion's voice trailed off when the cops started to flow from the entrance mounting riot shields blocking the only way out of the bank.
¨I don't want to be THAT guy but I rather be free than behind bars¨ A crew member wearing a rabbit mask started to walk back with the money bags alongside everyone.
The crystal started to vibrate and whispered into Richard's head who nodded ¨If it's the only way out¨ He whispered to the magic artifact as he tried to gather everyone around him. Suddenly the crystal started to emit light by itself that engulfed the entire crew which made them disappear in the blink of an eye.
(February 13th 2015 – 11:45 AM – Marie's house, New York – Earth)
¨… the cameras at the bank confirmed that the criminals indeed disappeared in thin air leaving no trace behind them. There are dead among the hostages but some are injured, the ambulances are on their way…¨
The news reporter kept talking, the group was astonished ¨There is a Summoner among them¨ Leona frowned ¨That was a Teleport spell and a powerful one I must say¨
¨Before we talk about anything else, you came here for a reason. So I'm all ears now¨ Marie switched from the couch back to the table they were before, both Nick and Claire followed her.
¨Just listen. Marie… you are a Summoner¨ The blonde girl did not say anything ¨This is the part where you are surprised¨ Nick was amused that she didn't react to his words.
¨As if watching champions in this world wasn't surprising enough…¨ Marie crossed her arms and leaned on her chair.
¨Forget it! Marie, the world is in danger. The Void is invading us and we are the only ones who can stop them. However you will need a champion that can help you to become a Summoner ¨ Claire tapped her fingers on the table.
¨Wonder if he knows something about it¨ Marie whispered to herself, the other two could hear something but didn't ask about it. She walked towards the front door ¨I would love you staying here but I must do some things and need the house free¨ The blonde opened it waiting for them to leave her house
The group stood up walking to the outside, as soon as they were out Marie closed the door behind them and locked it, however they stayed for a bit trying to hear what was going on from the other side. Someone approached to the blonde Summoner but his voice wasn't easy to understand, the stranger was talking to her but none of the Summoners outside could figure out what he said.
¨I know, I know, it's… I-I can't do this!¨ The blonde was crying behind the door as she walked away leaving only silence between the group and the house.
The Summoners were far from Marie's house and headed towards theirs, Nick and Leona were on the front while Claire was on the back walking slowly, she took a few steps and grabbed Nick by the arm dragging him to the back ¨Excuse us, need to talk to him about something¨ Leona shrugged and kept walking out front while the Summoners were quite distanced from the ginger.
¨If it has to do with Marie, we'll try to convince her another day…¨
¨… have you told her already?¨ Claire immediately cut Nick who was quite wondering what she was asking. ¨I mean Leona, have you told her about your feelings?¨
¨My feelings? You think I love her? Well, I do not¨ Nick shook, his cheeks blushed. ¨We have a friendly relationship that's all!¨
¨Right… then you are playing the shy boy again, doing so will not make you have a girlfriend. You have to show some initiative¨ Claire tapped Nick's shoulder still keeping their distance from Leona so she couldn't hear them.
¨What if she doesn't accept me? What if… she doesn't love me?¨ The Summoner lowered his head, sadness could be seen in his face.
¨Then another person will come eventually¨ She hugged him from the side ¨Changing the subject, we haven't heard from Matt ever since he left the house¨
(February 13th 2015 – 12:25 PM – New York – Earth)
Vi was exhausted, running from Matt's house to the bank took her a lot of time, especially since she didn't know where it was. She stopped at an alleyway watching a lot of people walking away ¨(This is it, can't let that bitch get away)¨ Her thoughts were only focused on Jinx and nothing else but she didn't notice someone was charging at her, when the enforcer turned the person already rammed her making them both fall.
¨Stay on the ground Vi, you don't need to do this¨ The blonde placed himself on top of the champion holding her gauntlets down.
¨What are you doin' prick?! This doesn't concern you¨ She tried to remove Matt from top of her without injuring him ¨You kno' I can easily leave right?¨
Matt nodded still trying to hold as much as he could ¨There's too much chaos right now. People might have recognized Jinx and if they see you it's going to be worse¨
Vi grunted and stood up shoving the Summoner off her, and grabbed his arms ¨You consider this chaos? This is just a stroll in the park for her. She almost destroyed my city and I'm sure that with the help of this criminals she can obliterate this one too¨ The enforcer released him and turned to the streets where there was still a huge group of people walking away from the bank.
Matt was watching the champion walk away, no options left for him but suddenly a crazy one entered into his mind ¨Cait please forgive me…¨ He whispered to himself as he ran towards the enforcer ¨Hey Vi!¨ As she heard her name the piltovian turned but the blonde pushed the enforcer to the wall and gave her a deep kiss while holding her.
Vi tried to resist but the temptation overcame her and returned the kiss, she closed her eyes and embraced him in a tender hug with her gauntlets. What appeared to be minutes for them it was only few seconds in the real world, people kept walking on the streets looking at the cute couple kissing on the alleyway, their tongues exploring each other's mouths gave an odd feeling to the enforcer.
She opened back her eyes looking at the blonde as they finished their kiss ¨You are truly a kissing person. No wonder Cait loves you…¨ Her voice trailed off as she was closing in for another kiss but stopped a few centimeters away from the blonde's lips, her blue crystal eyes widened and pushed Matt to the opposite wall ¨WHAT ARE YOU THINKIN' ASSHOLE?¨ Vi shouted at him confused.
¨I had to stop you. And that was the only idea it came to my mind, but it seems it didn't work¨ Matt turned to the opposite side of the streets trying to head back home, behind him the enforcer was following him ¨Wh?¨
A smile appeared on the champion's face ¨Something got in my way and lost her track. I will find her, no worries¨ They both walked from the alleyway and stepped into an empty street ¨Just one question: What's going to happen with Cupcake if she discovers what you did?¨
¨I'll try to keep it a secret, and you should do the same¨ Some people were watching at them, especially Vi's gauntlets but kept they kept walking ignoring the strangers. ¨Don't think that because I kissed you, I have feelings for you¨
¨Oh come on, you secretly have a crush on me but you can't decide between Cupcake and me¨ Matt's cheeks became red, he tried to speak but Vi's laugh muted him ¨Don't worry, she won't hear anything from me. But take my advice, you have to improve your kissing if you want to see more than Cupcake's smile¨
¨W-what do you mean by that?¨
The enforcer laughed again ¨She is right about you being a dumb boy, but that is what makes you likable¨
(February 13th 2015 – 11:45 AM – Safehouse, New York – Earth)
All of the heisters appeared at the Safehouse with their bags full of money, they couldn't believe that one second ago they were at the bank and now they were safe from any danger.
¨How did we get here so fast?¨ The bald crew member asked while the rest were placing all of the money on the table.
¨I told you I had a backup plan¨ Richard mocked at his partner while hiding the crystal from everyone ¨Listen up! We can't risk anyone see us with this amount of money. It will stay here and we'll move it in small parts¨ The criminals were complaining the leader's methods ¨I know, I know. But since THIS… ¨ the rooster pointed at Jinx who was sitting on a chair making fake snoring sounds ¨… decided to go outside and show her face, you will all have to be careful. You are dismissed¨ All of the crew members left the building except for Graves, Jinx and Richard.
¨Where are we supposed to go now?¨ Graves sat on another chair placing his shotgun at the side of the money but he noticed something flying at him, he raised his hand and grabbed what appeared to be a pair of keys.
¨My apartment is a couple of streets away, it's not hard to miss. Third floor apartment E¨ Richard grabbed a hoodie that was lying on the ground and gave it to Jinx ¨Put this on and don't be seen without it¨
Jinx stood up and dressed herself with the hoodie ¨You are boring, I need some fun outside of this place and this thing won't help me¨ The Loose Cannon tried to take off the borrowed clothes but the leader grabbed her hands stopping her.
¨Don't. Get. Caught¨ He released her pulling her hood up as they were walking away from the Safehouse leaving the rooster alone.
Richard sat by the table inspecting the champion's guns, he then focused on the bundles of cash that were lying there, he started to count all the money obtained in the heist but a strange noise coming from behind distracted him.
¨A well planned operation I must say¨ Ralzith came from the shadows holding a leash made out of chains, behind him a strange creature appeared, from it's mouth green goo pouring out of the beast's mouth burning the ground as he walked, at the side Kha'Zix was standing on his human disguise
¨Your toy helped me escape the place so I have to thank you¨ Richard eyed the mysterious creature but continued counting the money bundles.
¨Think of it as a favor but I want you to do something for me now¨ ¨Ralzith dragged the Mouth of the Abyss to the table.
¨A person was it?¨ The Summoner nodded and gave Richard a couple of papers, one of them was a picture while the other one had an address ¨What are you planning?¨ The leader removed his mask looking at the other piece of paper.
¨It doesn't concern you, bring the person from the picture here and I'll come back. But I must warn you, your objective is heavily protected¨
¨I don't know if you saw but we managed to pull something big today so-¨
¨-so I will help you with this. Next time I come here make sure to have your people prepared. Until then…¨ The Void Summoner walked away into the shadows dragging the monster at his side while Kha'Zix followed them from behind. Richard kept looking at both pieces of paper which Ralzith gave to him and he kept them in his pockets and stood up walking towards the entrance of the Safehouse, before leaving he turned towards the direction where the Void ones left, he shook his head and headed to his apartment.

This was an interesting chapter for me as it sets many of my ideas into the future of the story.
