Pre A/N: Bit of explicit content in this chapter
(February 23rd 2015 – 5:15 PM – Claire's house, New York, Earth)
Everyone spent their morning discussing on what to do with the Void Summoner, it was obvious that he knew where Liz might be, or at least he'll know something more about Malzahar's plan. They decided to meet at Claire's place since her basement would be a good place for the interrogation, however Marie decided to stay out of this as she had her own problems at the time.
Ralzith was kept prisoner on the car trunk for almost an entire day, yet when he was placed on the basement he was still unconscious, everyone was there except for Marie and Thresh, and Caitlyn who was still on Matt's house getting some rest. The Void Summoner was tied up to a chair, if he still had his powers then at least the heroes will have some time to react. Katarina grabbed a bucket full of water and poured it over the prisoner's head forcing him to wake up, he looked everywhere without a clue of his position but he was able to identify the people in front of him, his arms and legs tried to break free but he didn't have the enough strength.
¨Where is my sister?¨ Claire spoke up kneeling in front of Ralzith who was still confused.
The Summoner groaned in pain ¨Uh… What? I don't understand… this¨ He closed his eyes but the house owner slapped him in the face.
¨You tried to kill us twice and yet you come to us trying to make peace?¨ Katarina pulled one of her pocket knives and played with it moving it from one side of her hand to the other using her fingers in an attempt to intimidate Ralzith ¨This girl wants to know where her sister is, the one you took from her. So unless you want to return to your master with your throat sliced open, you'll spit everything you got¨ Katarina firmly grasped the dagger which was still in mid air.
¨Do whatever you want, I am already a dead person for him¨ Everyone looked at each other confused.
¨What do you mean? Aren't you afraid of getting killed?¨ Matt asked at the prisoner who turned at the pink haired.
¨I am, but that won't change the fact that the Overlord no longer needs me¨ He lowered his head, disappointed of what he did.
¨So that means you are no longer useful!¨ Katarina raised her voice at each word she said but Claire stopped her before she could stab Ralzith.
¨Wait! He might still know something¨ Nick grabbed Katarina by the shoulders and dragged her to his side. Katarina nodded but that didn't meant she wasn't going to kill Ralzith in the end.
¨Let me ask you again…¨ Claire kneeled once again in front of the hostage ¨… where is my sister? Where is Liz?¨
Ralzith raised his head to look at Claire, her face was a mixture of sadness and anger ¨Last time I saw her she was on the Void, Kassadin came to rescue us but the Overlord and the rest of the Voidborns tried to stop us, sadly he pushed me through a portal but your sister was still on the other side¨ The Summoner felt that he could've saved Claire's sister but he failed, the next thing he noticed was that the house owner slapped him in the face, she was crying but the hair was blocking her green eyes, now red due to the tears.
¨You could've dragged the little one with you!¨ Vi shouted from behind, she was furious and was about to hit Ralzith but thankfully her Summoner was able to block her path. Nobody else dared to speak, Katarina was comforting Claire who hugged her.
¨Malzahar has plans for her. Unlike Kassadin's daughter, he noticed there's some power in your sister, but that's all that he told me¨
¨That's impossible, I tried to train Liz a while back she wasn't able to do anything. She doesn't have the power to become a Summoner!¨ Katarina still hugged to Claire spat some words at the hostage.
¨Still, that doesn't mean the power within her is still active. And knowing the Overlord, he plans on unlocking her full potential¨ Ralzith gave up on trying to set himself free.
¨Your eyes tell me that there is a way to free Liz, right?¨ The group looked at Leona and so did Ralzith who gave a brief smile.
¨There is one… but I don't see any possible ways to get to her, not without…¨ The Void Summoner stopped for a second as he remembered something ¨The crystal! You guys were carrying it, right? Where is it?¨
¨Somewhere safe, away from your grasp¨ Nick talked to the prisoner whose smile turned to sadness again as he leaned back on the chair.
¨That's what he meant… that's what Kassadin meant! Summoner's Rift, the crystal. The answers are there!¨
¨Hello? Don't you remember we are stuck in this world? There is no way we can get back to Valoran¨ Vi mocked at Ralzith but he shook his head.
¨Let me explain: The crystal is a huge source of power and I can confirm Malzahar knows you are in possession of it and I am sure he will try to send everything to get it back. The only way to defeat him is by using all of the magic that the Rift has¨ The Void Summoner seemed happy, Claire turned her head towards the prisoner, curious of his plan.
¨Are you implying that we have to challenge Malzahar to a match? He is not dumb enough¨ Claire was wiping the tears from her cheeks, as she walked back by the chair.
¨No. Malzahar used part of the original crystal I gave to Arlor, I received a piece of it and was told to offer it to someone in exchange of help. When the services of that person were not needed we would dispatch it and take back the crystal since it will become as strong as the original one¨
¨Let me get this straight: The crystal we have is a fragment of the original right? But even if it's a fragment, its power can actually match the original?!¨ Matt asked and immediately Ralzith nodded ¨That's bullshit¨ The pink haired crossed his arms in disapproval.
¨You have to believe me, the crystal is the only way to confront him we-¨
¨What if he is lying? Maybe the cocksucker will backstab us like he said before¨ Vi said trying to convince the group who nodded at the enforcer's idea.
¨You do know that I may be the only person in this room that knows how the magic from the Void works, right?¨ They all looked at Ralzith, he was right, he's been working with Malzahar for some time and the fact that he used to be bond with a champion of the Void (and use its powers) made him the only capable person.
¨Even if you are, we can't let you get your hands on that crystal. You are a person that we can't trust Ralzith, you tried to kill us twice, plus one of your friends killed Nick¨ Katarina criticized him while pointing at the Solari Summoner ¨I suggest that we-¨
Katarina's voice suddenly stopped, the basement became completely silent and the Champions stood there immobile and the color from their surroundings were now black and white but there was something different. The Summoners were able to move freely, their colors were just as usual and so was for Ralzith who was still tied to the chair.
¨What… what happened?¨ Matt was scared, he was walking around the frozen Vi, it was creepy to see a living person (could that be considered as alive?) in such state.
¨Time stopped but we are still moving¨ Claire was looking at Kat before turning at Ralzith ¨What did you do?¨
Ralzith shrugged, he was as surprised as the other Summoners who were looking around. At their right a blue light started to appear, the group placed themselves away from the mysterious light and readied up to use their spells in case it was another creature from the Void, but what they saw was something not expected. In front of them the figure of Marie appeared, however her body was not completely materialized, much like a ghost.
¨Marie?! How?¨ The Summoners lowered their guard, they knew the blonde was at her house but right now she was in front of them.
¨I-I don't know, I was at my house but then everything turned black and white, Thresh froze but I didn't, next time I see when I blink is that I'm in front of you¨ She was desperate as there was no answer to what was going on.
¨At last, I see the group finally together¨ A male voice came from behind them, when all turned they found the source of that voice, the High Summoner Arlor was standing with a smile on his face, his body was like Marie's, ethereal as if he was a ghost.
¨Arlor?! Wh- how? I thought you only appeared while we were sleeping!¨ Claire looked at the old man who was slowly walking towards the five Summoners.
¨My child, I told you that my powers were drained, but not all of them. That's why your blonde friend is here and your world stopped moving¨ As he kept walking he went through Leona's body and stopped in front of the Summoners who were now gathered around Ralzith ¨I am glad the group is now complete¨
¨Complete? But it's just…¨ Nick stopped for a few seconds as he turned his head towards Ralzith then back to Arlor ¨You have to be fucking kidding me¨
The High Summoner shook his head slowly, still with that grin of his on the face ¨You are the five Summoners that will confront Malzahar and stop the invasion. I always knew Ralzith was the fifth one, but of course, you wouldn't believe it¨
¨So now we have to join forces with the guy that tried to kill us?! No way, I refuse!¨ Claire shouted as she crossed her arms and turned facing the wall.
¨You must understand that not only the fate of two worlds, but the very life of your sister are at stake. And as I heard, the Void Summoner already knows what to do next¨ Arlor looked at Ralzith who just looked down, ashamed ¨Something troubling you young one?¨
¨Why? I betrayed the Institute, I killed you and joined forces with the Void. And you give me this chance to redeem myself? I don't understand¨
¨You don't have to. But I'll let you know this: I had my suspicions when I sent you to that expedition, but I finally realized a few seconds after the crystal shattered¨ Arlor smiled once again at the prisoner ¨You did well despite all that. There is no need to feel ashamed¨
¨So what now?¨ Nick stepped forward between Ralzith and the High Summoner ¨The idea of challenging Malzahar to a match in the Rift is the only way but why would he accept?¨ Nick questioned himself about those methods since there was no way to get back to Valoran.
¨Because if he does not then his powers will be stripped¨ The rest of the group turned at Ralzith, curiosity filled their heads ¨When a champion joins the League he has to follow certain rules. When a Champion or Summoner challenges another one, they will have to accept it, else their powers will be stripped and they'll end in the Institute's prison¨
¨Not only that, the nexus' energy is what empowers the Champions and Summoners alike. If destroyed they will be powerless for a few minutes before they can recover. That's the time when Malzahar will be most vulnerable¨
¨So basically, if he doesn't accept we still win?¨ The Summoners looked at each other with a smile on their faces ¨Still, even if that's the only, and best, idea right now. We don't have any methods to return to Valoran!¨ Claire sat on the ground resting her head on the right hand.
¨Well… there crystal is your only solution right now. It is corrupted with Void energy but I believe the five of you can handle it¨ Arlor turned away and started to walk to the same place he was when he appeared in the basement.
¨How are we going to fight in the Rift? We have zero knowledge about it¨ Marie tried to follow the High Summoner but turned once again to face the rest of the group, there was still a smile in his face.
¨You will know… when the time is right¨ Those last words echoed in the group's head. The color from the room was slowly returning back to normal, both Marie and Arlor disappeared from the basement leaving the Summoners and Champions alone.
¨-use the crystal as bait, if Malzahar really wants it, he will be coming personally¨ Katarina ended her plan and looked at the Summoners who were suddenly in different places in the room ¨How did you manage to move that fast?¨
¨Kat, I need one of your knives¨ Claire asked her champion who nodded as she threw her knife at the Summoner. She managed to catch it and walked towards Ralzith who lowered his head as if he was waiting his death, but that never happened, instead Claire was cutting the binds in his arms and legs, setting him free.
¨What are ye' doing?!¨ Vi rushed at Ralzith but Matt grabbed her arm making her fall to the ground.
¨Ralzith is the only person who knows more about the Void than any of us. If he decides to betray us using the crystal, we can handle him. We defeated the rooster guy, didn't we?¨ Nick helped the Void Summoner get up from the chair as he was dusting off his torn clothes.
¨Nick, I understand your point but that doesn't mean we should trust him right away!¨ Leona was speechless.
¨We spoke to Arlor, and explained us the situation. The only way to defeat Malzahar is through a challenge in the Rift. Besides, Ralzith is the fifth member of the team¨
The Champions were the ones confused right now, not only the Void Summoner was now free but he was also going to help him defeat Malzahar, quite ironic.
¨The person who tried to kill us is now in our team?¨ Vi let out a sarcastic laugh ¨What's next? Jinx is going to be his champions? Please, DO tell me more of this bullshit¨ She shouted at the end, furious.
¨Vi, I don't like the idea either but it's-¨ Matt tried to calm the enforcer but it impossible.
¨But what? I'm sure there are more ways than teaming up with this piece 'o shit¨
¨I'm still here by the way¨ Ralzith muttered but no one heard him talk.
¨What would've Cupcake wanted? She almost died for YOUR safety and now we are giving up to the bad guy?! I still don't understand what she saw in you. You piece of-¨
¨ENOUGH!¨ All of the people turned at Claire who was now on the chair that was used to tie Ralzith ¨I hate this idea more than any of you, but we are talking about my sister, about our world, Valoran, everything. Sometimes we just have to make a blind bet¨ She stood up and turned to Ralzith ¨What do we need to proceed?¨
The Void Summoner cleared his throat, and decided to walk around the basement to gather his thoughts ¨Well, there is a problem. I don't know how the crystal works…¨ Ralzith's confession turned the entire basement silent, an awkward silence.
¨Can I punch him already?¨ Vi crackled her knuckles.
¨No, you don't get it. Even if I was a Summoner from the Void, there are many things I need to learn. That means, if I ever get to have the crystal, it will take me some time to understand how it works¨
¨Basically, we are on a stalemate¨ The voice of Katarina was heard by the stairs, she was fixated on the light that was coming from the small window.
¨I have this question: Who are you going to fight with?¨ Ralzith turned at Nick ¨I assume that since Malzahar is now your enemy, you won't be able to fight alongside Kha'Zix¨
¨He was a Summoner from Ionia…¨ Leona's voice trailed off getting the attention of his Summoner and Ralzith.
¨You managed to find a lot of champions in your way but this isn't my type of luck…¨ He sighed, sitting once again on the chair he was tied before.
¨Then it's settled! You'll work on the crystal while we look for your champion. Like you said, we found a lot of champions in our way, I'm sure about it… kind of…¨ Matt stretched his arms and started to walk to the staircase making Katarina step away.
¨You leaving yet?¨ The house owner asked as she saw Vi, Nick and Leona walking behind the piltovian Summoner.
¨Well, it's getting kinda late, plus we need to check on Cait to see if she needs something¨
¨Like her boyfriend…¨ Vi whispered and chuckled as she kept climbing up, leaving Katarina, Claire and Ralzith alone.
(February 23rd 2015 – 8:30 PM – Matt's house, New York, Earth)
When they left Claire's house they didn't notice it was already night, their trip towards their homes was silent, other than a few jokes and other commentaries, nothing was said about Ralzith and his crystal idea.
When they arrived Leona and Nick said farewell as they walked to their home while Matt and Vi entered their home, all the lights in the living room turned off, the only ones lit were coming from the bedroom. As the duo entered they saw Caitlyn sitting on the bed reading a book, parts from her body were still bandaged but she seemed to feel just fine, the sound of the door distracted the sheriff from her lecture.
¨Hey, didn't hear you arriving¨ She slowly climbed out of the bed, she almost fell down but Vi and Matt were able to catch her before Cait touched the ground.
The three of them were now sitting in the bed, the injured looked at both of them, Vi was looking at the ground with a worrying look on her face, Matt on the other hand was focused on his girlfriend giving her a hug from the side.
¨So… what did Ralzith say? Does he know where Liz's whereabouts are?¨ Caitlyn asked but the other two were still focused on their own thoughts ¨No one is going to say anything?¨
¨We...¨ Vi's voice trailed off, she could finish her sentence.
¨… are now working with Ralzith. He is the last member of the group¨
Caitlyn shook her head, she was smiling which was quite weird since Ralzith joining them was not something too cheerful ¨I'm sorry, I thought you said Ralzith, the guy who tried to kill us more than once, is with us¨
¨He is¨ Caitlyn's face turned from a happy to a surprised one in just mere seconds ¨I know what you're thinking, but Arlor told us that we have to trust him. He is the only one that can help us bring down Malzahar and rescue Liz¨
The injured nodded without saying a single word as she crept back under the sheets, Vi and Matt walked out of the room leaving the sheriff alone, she needed some time to digest the only option they had. The two of them closed the door to the bedroom.
Vi headed towards the living room while Matt went to the kitchen. The enforcer turned on the TV just to kill that awkward silence, on the other side, the Summoner took some food from the refrigerator and placed it over the counter but he stood there without doing anything else.
Matt walked back to the living room and sat at the side of the enforcer ¨Vi, I…¨
¨- Sorry¨ The immediate answer that came from Vi was surprising and odd
¨What?¨
¨Like I said: Sorry. I… didn't control myself back there, It's just… I'm just suffering from a big load of stress. Jinx is still out there, Cupcake almost got killed, and now we teamed up with the guy that tried to kill us, and managed to do it with Nick¨ She sighed and moved her hand behind her neck ¨I just need to go back to Piltover, my home, the place I learned to love…¨
Matt remained silent, he dragged the enforcer's chin closer to his face and landed his lips onto hers. She embraced him closer to her chest as she kept kissing Matt, their tongues dancing at each other's mouth. Suddenly Vi moved her right hand from the Summoner's neck and started go down caressing his body until her hand arrived closer to his crotch.
The pink haired separated his mouth from Vi's ¨Vi… what are you doing? Cait is not gonna-¨ He was cut when the enforcer gave him a brief kiss
¨You must be stupid to think that I would steal Cupcake's boyfriend. I mean, I already did it with Jayce and she never knew it was me!¨ Her lips got closer to the Summoner's neck giving him a couple of pecks.
¨So it was you? Well, now I have to be careful about you¨ Matt was the one who chuckled this time as Vi gave him another kiss, but instead of dragging him closer she pushed him out of the couch.
¨Go. I got the fun I needed, now it's the time for you and Cupcake to get together¨ She winked, resting her legs over the table. ¨Oi! If you're in doubt, go with the flow!¨
The Summoner headed towards his bedroom, the door was closed and the lights were turned off. He slowly opened the door and saw Caitlyn on the bed covered under the sheets, Matt closed the door behind him trying not to make a lot of noise, he climbed inside the bed and gave a hug to Caitlyn from behind but noticed something, she wasn't wearing a shirt, in fact she wasn't wearing anything at all.
¨Why did you guys do it? An alliance with Ralzith is insane¨ Caitlyn spoke with a weak voice, mostly because she was probably tired.
¨It was the only way. If he gets to use the crystal we will be able to defeat Malzahar and rescue Liz. Trust me, I don't like it either but there isn't any other way¨ The Sheriff turned to face his lover, one of her hands moved to his right cheek and caressed it.
¨You did what you had to. So what now?¨She got closer to Matt, her head resting near the Summoner's chest allowing Caitlyn to listen to his heartbeats.
¨Now?¨ Matt sighed ¨Well, we are getting closer to the end. With Ralzith working on the crystal, and us trying to find his champion, I guess this will be over soon¨
¨And then what?¨ The sheriff moved from Matt's side and climbed on top of him ¨If we had to return to Piltover, would you come with me?¨ Caitlyn smiled as she unfastened the belt from his pants.
¨Caitlyn… what do you have planned?¨ Matt blushed, the naked sheriff moved one of her fingers towards the Summoner's mouth, hushing him before he could speak another word.
¨You know? Yesterday, Vi told me you were a bit shy to ask me this. Although she said something like: Your dumb boyfriend is too dumb to not ask you to have sex with you¨ She proceeded to remove his T-shirt and dropped it somewhere near the bed ¨By the way, you never told me you cheated me with Vi¨ Her smile turned as if she was about to punish him.
¨Uh… I… you are probably mistaken 'cause-¨ Caitlyn chuckled and the smile returned to her face.
¨Don't worry. She told me that you had to kiss her just to stop before she could reveal herself at the bank¨ She started to hum a song, typical for the people of Piltover, as she was removing the last remaining of clothes.
Matt was frozen, at first it felt as if he was forced to do it, but in the end it was something he wanted, something that would've happened sooner or later. He took Vi's advice and decided to go with the flow. Matt placed his hands on Caitlyn's waist, dragging her closer to him.
The sheriff pressed her breasts against his chest and kissed him, she then returned back to her original position ¨I can see it's your first time. You ready?¨ Matt nodded as she started to go down slowly.
¨Yeah cupcake, take his virginity away!¨ The voice of Vi was heard from the other side of the door.
¨VI, STOP EAVESDROOPING FOR FUCK'S SAKES¨ Caitlyn shouted, climbing down from Matt and onto the bed again ¨So much for our special night… Good night Matt¨ She kissed him before turning away.
¨Good night… I guess¨ Matt closed his eyes, disappointed that this moment didn't ended like he wanted.
Vi's second passive is called cockblock.
So there's a good news coming from Riot saying that next month we'll be getting an update on lore. Plus the guy who worked on some Warhammer lore is now with Riot so I do hope to see more stuff than just 5 lines of lore.
Back onto my stuff, new chapter. I promised a lemon (and I'll be honest with this, it took me 3 days to write that small part) and yes, I know it's not that much. Sorry for those who were expecting something better.
