Chapter 38: A Night of Surprises

Kendall yawned as he walked into the studio once again. He had done an interview about Penelope. It had gotten people to back off his case a bit. He hadn't revealed her name yet, he asked for some privacy for now. Most people respected that wish, but there were a few vultures still trying to get information. For the most part thing a had died down.

On top of that it was Valentine's Day. Kendall didn't have time to plan anything for James. Maybe he could pick up some chocolates and flowers and they could have a night in with Jenny. Jenny would love the chocolate as well.

Kendall enterd the lobby outside his office and saw the guys all siting around. He arched a brow at them. He had given them the day off.

"What's up guys, I thought I gave you the day off," Kendall said.

"You did, but we have something we need to tell you," Jared said glancing over at Noah and Roldy.

"What?" Kendall asked.

"Well, Roldy and I are engaged," Noah said biting his lip.

"Oh," Kendall said taken aback. He hadn't been expecting that. He had been expecting trouble or him have to dish out money to repair something they had damaged at the Palm Woods.

"Yeah, it happened a few days ago, we were just trying to find a way to tell you," Roldy said taking Noah's hand in his.

"I'm not mad if that's what you're thinking. Usually when you guys do this it means you've destroyed something and need my help to fix it. Sometimes I feel like you guys cost me more money then you make," Kendall said.

"Hey, we haven't ruined anything in months, you should be proud of us," Jared said quickly.

"Congratulations you two," Kendall said turning to Noah and Roldy. They both smiled. "Are you gonna go public? Or are you gonna wait a bit?" He asked.

"We want to go public, but that doesn't mean we're gonna get married right away," Noah said quickly.

"Yeah, we wanna take our time with this and do it on our terms," Roldy said.

"Well if you need anything, just ask," Kendall said. The pair nodded their heads smiling. "Plus if you ask nicely Kelly is an awesome wedding planner. I am speaking from experience," He added quickly.

"Oh we should tell Kelly too," Noah said looking to Roldy. Roldy just chuckled and nodded his head.

-We Are-

Jared paced back and forth. He was waiting for Kyle to show up. He was taking the blonde out for Valentine's Day. Kyle said he would come to the Palm Woods and meet him there.

Jared was nervous. needed to make this date memorable for Kyle, but he was thinking about their fight from before the accident. He knew Kyle had more upset that he hadn't told him. Jared had been going back and forth in his head over just telling Kyle the truth, it was sure to upset Kyle again. If Jared wasn't honest, how could they rebuild their relationship though. He wasn't going to lie to Kyle.

"Munroe will you stop pacing? It's just a date with your boyfriend."

Jared turned to Matt and glared at him. Matt had decided to hang out with the guys at the Palm Woods this afternoon. He hadn't left yet, even though Noah and Roldy already left on a date.

"I remember our relationship, but he doesn't. I have to make this memorable so he will like me," Jared said.

"Dude he came back to you even though he still cared about Lilly," Matt said.

"I know, but he's still a little hesitant," Jared sighed.

"You won him over once, you can do it again. All you have to do is be yourself and be honest," Matt said.

"I know I have to tell him, but he's gonna react like before. He's still Kyle," Jared sighed.

"Yeah, and if I know Kyle like I think I do, if you're honest and up front he will give you a chance to talk. Make him listen," Matt said.

"I guess," Jared sighed. Matt was right. He needed to be honest with Kyle. It would be better in the long run.

"Well as much fun as this is I have to go. I've got plans," Matt said standing up.

"What? With who?" Jared asked curiously.

"Wouldn't you like to know," Matt said as he walked to the door.

"Well duh, I asked didn't I?" Jared replied.

"Bye Munroe," Matt said as he walked out the door.

Jared started his pacing again. Matt was right. Jared needed to be honest with Kyle. Kyle wasn't really that upset about what he did, it was that he didn't tell him. It was hearing it from someone else that upset him. Jared didn't want that happening again.

A knock at the door made him jump. Jared quickly moved to the door and opened to reveal Kyle. He was wearing a red and black plaid shirt and skinny jeans and dark sneakers. He looked perfect and Jared had to fight the urge to just kiss him then and there. They hadn't kissed since the night Kyle had shown up confused. Jared didn't want to push him. He had to wait for Kyle to make the first move again.

"Hi, I hope this is ok," Kyle said looking down at his clothes.

"It's perfect, we're not going anywhere too fancy," Jared replied. Kyle sighed relieved at that. Jared knew Kyle wasn't into fancy restaurants. He liked to chill and relax. "Come in we need to talk first?" Jared said slowly.

"Uh, ok about what?" Kyle asked stepping into the apartment.

Jared silently led him over to the couch. They sat down together.

"So what's up?" Kyle asked.

"I haven't been one hundred percent honest with you," Jared said biting his lip.

"Oh," Kyle said confused.

"Before you're accident we were kind of in the middle of an argument," Jared explained.

"About what?" Kyle asked confused. He didn't understand why Jared was telling him this now.

"Just please promise to hear me out," Jared said.

"Ok I promise," Kyle said slowly. "You can tell me anything Jared. I will listen."

"I made a move on your dad once," Jared said hanging his head. "I was upset and kind of drunk, it meant nothing," he said looking up at Kyle worriedly.

Kyle sat there and let the news sink in. He almost didn't know what to think. He looked to Jared for more answers. "Why?" was all he asked.

"My parents, as I told you aren't good people. My dad beats my mom and belittles her. He crushes dreams that seem impossible, and my mother, well, she lets him," Jared said looking down at his hands.

Kyle felt his heart clench as Jared continued to talk about his parents. He told him how if he ever talked back like Kyle did to Kendall or James he would've been beaten. Jared had the scars to prove it too. He told Kyle all about that fateful night he let it all get to him. How he would have made a move on Matt who was straight had he stumbled into him.

"Wow," Kyle said slowly once Jared stopped. Tears were slipping down the elder's face now. Kyle scooted closer to Jared. "I'm sorry for what ever I did or what ever I said. I must've been too hung up on the fact that you tried something on my dad," he said.

"You were, and I only made it worse," Jared said hanging his head again. "I called you the one thing I never did the entire time we were dating."

"What was that?" Kyle asked confused.

"It probably doesn't mean much now, but I called you a kid," Jared said looking up at Kyle. "Our age difference bugs a lot people, but I never really saw you as a kid though. You are wise for your age and you challenge me and make me a better person. I l-" Jared froze there.

"What?" Kyle asked.

"I really care about you," Jared said. He didn't want to throw the L word out just yet. He was sure it would freak Kyle out.

"I think I care about you too, probably more than I should," Kyle admitted. The two fell silent. "Are we gonna go soon? I have a curfew to be home by," Kyle said after a moment.

"You still want to go out?" Jared asked shocked.

"Well yeah, you were honest with me and I respect that," Kyle said.

"Well if we don't have honesty, we don't have a relationship," Jared replied. Kyle nodded his head in agreement. He held his hand out to Jared. Jared took it. The two exited the apartment together.

-We Are-

Jake slowly made his way from the bedroom. He had been to his doctor appointment earlier in the day. It had been revealed that his body was struggling to get used to the baby. Someone people just had trouble carrying babies. Jake was told to get a lot of bed rest and not to exert himself, otherwise he risked losing the baby. The doctor explained that the further he got into the second trimester of his pregnancy, his body would be more adjusted.

Damien had taken that very seriously and made Jake lay down as soon as they got home. He just wanted Jake to be careful.

"Day?" Jake called out looking for his husband. Damien exited the kitchen quickly.

"What? what's wrong?" Damien asked.

"Nothing's wrong, I'm bored and it's Valentine's Day and our anniversary and you're not spending any time with me," Jake said pouting.

"Oh my god I totally forgot," Dameon said his eyes going wide. "I thought it was tomorrow," he said quickly.

Jake chuckled and walked over to Damien. He pulled him into a hug. "It's ok Day, I don't want anything big or over the top. I just want you," Jake said.

"I'm sorry though, I really thought it was tomorrow," Damien said placing his arms around Jake.

"It ok," Jake said. He took a step back. "Let's just order out and stay in for a movie night or something," he suggested.

"Sounds good to me," Damien replied with a smile.

"Next year I expect you to kiss ass and make up for forgetting this year," Jake said.

"Promise," Damien replied.

"And don't worry about our baby either. I will make someone watch him, if I can tear myself away from him," Jake said.

"Him?" Damien asked.

"I think it's gonna be a boy," Jake said quickly.

"Really?" Damien asked. Jake nodded his head. "I think we're gonna have a girl. She will be our princess and we will spoil her rotten."

"Ha, maybe," Jake chuckled.

"I've been thinking about it," Damien said his cheeks going red.

"Me too, I just know that I will love this baby no matter what," Jake said smiling.

"Me too," Damien replied.

-We Are-

A wave of panic rushed through Lilly as she looked at the small pink plus sign. Her heart shattered. She didn't want to believe it. There was no way she was pregnant.

Tears sprang to her eyes. There went all her plans for the future. She could kiss college good bye. Her dream of ever becoming a doctor seemed lost now. There went any chances of ever dating again. No guy would want to date a pregnant teen or a teen mom. Her life was over.

Then again, Lilly didn't have to keep the baby. She couldn't get an abortion, that was wrong. This little baby was innocent in all this. Adoption was an option. She could find a family that would love this baby. She would still have her future ahead of her. Could she give up her baby though? It would be at least another eight months before she even gave birth. Things would change by the time she gave birth. She couldn't make a decision just yet.

"Lilly?"

Lilly jumped. She looked to the door.

"Yeah dad?" Lilly called out trying not to get chocked up. He couldn't know. He would be so mad at her.

"You've been in there for quite awhile now, are you alright?" Logan asked.

"Uh," Lilly said unsure of what to say. He was going to find out eventually. The sooner she told him the better.

She stood and opened the door. Logan took in her appearance. Lilly could tell just by the look on his face she didn't look too good. She had been crying after all. She probably looked a mess.

"What's wrong?" Logan asked worried.

"I-I messed up," Lilly said more tears welling in her eyes. Her bastion became hazy. She quickly wiped the tears away.

"What's wrong," Logan asked again.

"What's going on?" Carlos asked as he exited his bedroom. He looked to Logan who looked confused.

"I don't know," Logan said not taking his eyes off his daughter.

"Lilly, we can't help you if you don't tell us what's wrong," Carlos said softly.

"I'm pregnant," Lilly said in a small voice.

"I'm sorry come again?" Logan said quickly. Had he heard we correctly.

"You heard me," Lilly snapped refusing to say it again.

"No that's not possible you're on birth control," Logan said shaking his head in disbelief. It just wasn't possible. Lilly was too smart for this.

"Well I took two different tests and they both tell me that I am," Lilly snapped pointing towards the bathroom.

Logan and Carlos walked into the bathroom. Lilly moved across the hall. The room seemed to be spinning. She leaned back against the wall for support. She slid down until she was sitting on the floor. This wasn't real. She was dreaming and she was going to wake up any second now.

"I'm gonna kill that boy!"

Lilly looked up terrified as Logan emerged from the bathroom. He looked furious. She knew what he was thinking. He wasn't wrong either. She couldn't let him know that.

"It's not Kyle if that's what you're thinking," Lilly said quickly. She didn't want him hurting Kyle. He wouldn't even remember the incident in question. There was only one thing to do.

"Lillian Mitchell don't lie to me," Logan said glaring at his daughter.

"I'm not," Lilly said.

"Do you think I'm stupid?" Logan asked.

"No, you're a doctor and my dad. You're one of the smartest people I know," Lilly said honestly.

"Oh then who is it?" Carlos asked.

"Some guys I met at a party," Lilly said looking down at the floor. "We never exchanged names," she added quickly. It was the perfect lie.

"Lilly," Carlos sighed. He looked at Logan before he sat down next to his daughter. "Alright, don't worry we will figure something out."

"What?" Logan asked his eyes wide.

"Logie, there's nothing we can do. It's Lilly's choice on what she want to do," Carlos said placing an arm around his daughter. He pulled her close.

Lilly broke down crying again. She couldn't hold it in anymore. Both Logan and Carlos knew she was lying, but they weren't gonna push this right now.

"I-I need to think," Logan said turning away from the pair on the floor. "I'm going out." He started down the stairs.

"He hates me now doesn't he?" Lilly asked quietly.

"He doesn't hate you, he needs to come to terms with this in his own way. He's just shocked, I am too. We never would've expected this from you. Miles? Maybe, but not you," Carlos said.

"Sorry I'm just a disappointment," Lilly snapped.

"Mija I didn't mean it like that," Carlos said quickly realizing his mistake.

It was too late. Lilly ran down the hallway to her bedroom. She slammed the door shut and locked it.

-We Are-

Layla laughed as she, Erika, Millie, and Greg; Millie's boyfriend all stood in line for a movie. They were on double a date. Layla had to admit that Greg was funny. Millie had good taste in boys. Greg was from another school across town. Millie had met him a couple of weeks ago at the mall. They hit it off right away. Millie wanted Layla to meet him. She wanted to get her opinion.

"So anyways, that is why I never trusted my dad again. I mean seriously oatmeal raisin cookies look just like chocolate chip cookies to a five year old kid," Greg said.

"That is very true, but I actually happen to like oatmeal raisin cookies," Layla said.

"What are you like ninety?" Greg asked.

"She sure acts like it sometimes," Erika quipped nudging Layla lightly. Layla blushed and looked at the ground.

"The line's moving," Millie said quickly. The four moved ahead a bit.

"So, how long have you two known Millie?" Greg asked curiously.

"I've know Mill since before we could even walk," Layla said.

"I moved here a few years ago, Lay and Mill are kind of a package deal," Erika said with a smile.

"Good to know," Greg replied with a smile.

The four eventually got their movie tickets and snacks. They headed into the crowded theater. After a little searching, they managed to snag four seats together. They all settled into their seats ready for the movie.

Layla looked over ad Erika with a smile. She reached over and grabbed her hand. Erika smiled, giving her hand a small squeeze. Layla could never get enough of this.

-We Are-

Logan gave a frustrated holler as he kicked at the air and threw punches at no one. He should've known this would happen. It was all his fault too. He had jinxed himself by talking about wanting grand babies. Now whether he liked it or no he was going to be a grandpa.

Logan started pacing. He was outside the city, looking over it. It was really a beautiful sight. The lights were sparkling in the twilight. Logan didn't care about the view. He just needed to calm down.

"I knew I'd find you here."

Logan turned and saw Kendall leaning against his car. He hadn't even heard the blonde's vehicle pull up. Kendall pushed himself off the vehicle and walked up to the brunette.

"So, grandpa wanna talk," Kendall asked.

"Carlos call you?" Logan asked ignoring the blonde's comment.

"Yeah, he was worried," Kendall said stopping at the railing next to Logan. "So be honest is this my grand baby as well?" he asked casually.

"I couldn't tell you," Logan admitted. "She claims is some random guy she met at a party."

"But?" Kendall asked.

"I know for a fact something happened between her and Kyle about a month or so ago," Logan said.

"Really?" Kendall asked.

"Yeah, but she's in denial and Kyle can't remember," Logan said.

"Bummer," Kendall said.

"This wasn't supposed to happen," Logan sighed.

"Neither was Miri, or baby Kendall, or even Jake's baby, but life happens and condoms break and birth control fails," Kendall said.

"I know that Kendall. I am a doctor," Logan snapped.

"Hey, I'm not the one your mad at and you shouldn't be mad at Lilly either. It's not like she planned this," Kendall said.

"I'm not mad at her," Logan said calmly.

"Well according to your husband she has locker herself in her bedroom," Kendall said.

"I'm a horrible father," Logan sighed hanging his head.

"No you're not. You're doing what any logical father would do. I'll admit I wanted to kill Cooper when I found out Adam was pregnant, but look at me now. He's practically my son and I love Miri and I will love this new baby just as much," Kendall said with a smile. "Besides as a grandparent its our job to spoil the kid rotten."

Logan chuckled at that and shook his head. "I don't even know if she wants to keep it," he said.

"There's only one way to find out," Kendall replied.

"I know, I know," Logan sighed once more.

"Come on, let's go then," Kendall said. He pushed Logan over to his car. "Don't be so uptight and listen to what she has to say. She is eighteen after all. This is her decision and as a parent its your job to support her no matter what. She is just as scared as you are, if not more."

Logan stood there a moment. Kendall was right. This was probably scary for Lilly and the last thing she needed was his disapproval.

"Thanks for the lecture," Logan said.

"Any time buddy, but seriously next time don't let it be on Valentine's Day," Kendall said as he took off to his own car.

"You're not the only one James forgot too, but it's ok I'm romantic enough for both of us," Kendall laughed.

Logan chucked and shook his head. He waved the blonde off as he got into his car.

-We Are-

Kyle was sitting across from Jared. They had just finished their meal. Jared had taken Kyle out for Valentines, just like he had promised. He had been a perfect gentlemen the entire time. Kyle had never felt more loved in his entire life. He was happy.

Their waitress returned with Jared's card and be a receipt. Jared signed and thanked her. He gave generous tip too. Kyle could tell he was in a good mood.

"Shall we go?" Jared asked looking to Kyle.

"Yeah." Kyle nodded his head. The pair left the restaurant. They headed to Jared's car. Jared grabbed Kyle's hand as they walked.

"This night has been great," Jared said.

"More like amazing," Kyle replied.

Jared walked Kyle to his side of the car. He opened the door for him. Kyle smiled as he got into the car. Jared quickly made his way around to the driver's side. He slid into his seat and looked over at Kyle.

"You had a good time then?" Jared asked.

"Yeah," Kyle said nodding his head.

Kyle leaned over and gave Jared a kiss on the cheek. Jared's smile grew at that. He turned to say something and Kyle captured his lips in a kiss. Jared's mind went blank. His hands came up to Kyle's face and pulled him close. Kyle didn't seem to mind.

Once they parted Kyle fell back into his seat panting for air. Jared sat there watching the blonde.

"You know, I don't have to be home until eleven," Kyle said suggestively. Jared arched a brow at the young blonde.

"To the Palm Woods then?" Jared asked. Kyle nodded his head quickly.

The ride back to the Palm Woods was quick. The trip to the apartment was just as fast. Kyle was pushing Jared into the apartment with their lips attached. He kicked the door shut behind him. Eventually the pair found themselves in Jared's room, on his bed.

Kyle sat up panting. He looked down at Jared, who was panting as well. His face was flushed red with arousal. Kyle leaned down and kissed the blue haired man again. He couldn't get enough of this. Jared's hand found their way to the buttons of his shirt. Kyle was too far gone to care at the moment. He moaned as he felt Jared run his hands up and down his sides. Jared really seemed to know what to do to please Kyle. Kyle on the other hand was bumbling around and trying to see what Jared liked. Kyle moved his lips to Jared's neck. He nibbled at the skin there and Jared practically mewled in pleasure. Kyle took it as a good sign. He tugged at Jared's shirt.

Soon the pair were shirtless. Kyle couldn't help but drool at the image below him. Rock hard abs and the deep v that disappeared into Jared's jeans. It was such a turn on.

Three weeks ago Kyle could never imagine that he could be turned on by a guy. It was impossible. Kyle was still in love with Lilly. Then he actually talked to Jared and here he was, in a lust filled haze.

"Kyle," Jared said getting his attention. Kyle looked up at Jared. The older crashed his lips into his in a hasty sloppy kiss.

Kyle froze. He remembered seeing Jared like this. It was like a rush. Everything came flooding in at once. Kyle's eyes went wide as he remembered meeting Jared and the guys before. He remembered defying Kendall and dating Jared. The. Kendall and James' acceptance of their relationship. Every moment he and Jared shared. Especially private moment like the one they were in the middle of came rushing right back.

"Kyle, what's wrong?" Jared asked.

"Nothing, I've never been better Jer," Kyle said leaning down and capturing his lips in yet another kiss. This kiss was slowly than before. It was different, it was full of feeling and love. It was something Kyle could never get tired of.

"What did you call me?" Jared asked his eyes wide, with a glimmer of hope.

"Jer," Kyle said again with a grin in place.

Jared just grinned and pulled the blonde close.

-We Are-

Adam yawned as he leaned against Cooper. They were having a night in watching Netflix. Cooper has surprised Adam after work with lilies and chocolates, since he knew Adam didn't like roses. Miri had even gotten a little pink bear from Cooper. It had been for Adam but Miri didn't want to give it up. After that Cooper brought Adam home and pampered him and even cook dinner for him. Now they were just relaxing together while Miri was asleep.

"Are you tired?" Cooper asked.

"No, I'm fine," Adam said giving Cooper a smile.

"Liar, if you're tired we can just go to bed," Cooper suggested.

"But I don't wanna go to bed," Adam said.

"Then let me get a blanket so you can be warm," Cooper said. He didn't give Adam time to protest as he jumped up. He retrieved blanket from the closet and draped it over them.

"Thanks Coop," Adam said softly. He leaned against the other brunette with a smile.

This moment felt nice. Adam felt complete. Cooper was so kind and caring. Even after everything they had been through. They had had a lot of good times and bad times. Adam wouldn't trade them for anything. Everything they had been through in the last two and a half years had only made them stronger. They could only move forward from here.

"Hey," Cooper said quietly.

"What?" Adam asked looking up at Cooper.

"I love you," Cooper said grinning.

"I love you too," Adam replied smiling. He leaned in and kissed Cooper. Adam didn't want to ever give up this feeling ever again.

There you go another chapter. Sorry everyone Lilly is pregnant. What will she do? Will she keep the baby? Or give it up? Will she tell the truth about her baby daddy? Will Logan ever be ok with Lilly being pregnant? Will Carlos be ok? What will Kendall and James do? NoRo wedding! Kyle remembers! Just what does he remember? Will he be honest with Jared? There you go somethings to think about. I hope you enjoyed this chapter. As always more to come.
