Chapter 40: Choosing Sides
Jake groaned as he stood up. It was just one of those days again. He had spent the entire morning and most of the afternoon in the bathroom, puking his guts out. At least that's what it felt like. Damien had been in classes all days and was working now. He had no idea what was going on. Jake was almost half tempted to call him, but then he would rush home. They needed money to support their growing family. Jake didn't want Damien coming home every time he felt a little sick.
Jake left the bathroom and headed to the kitchen for a glass of water. It seemed to be about all he could keep down lately. He hoped that this was normal morning sickness. He had talked to James and Adam. They both assured him that they went through this as well.
Jake sighed as he sat down at the table with a glass of water in his hands. He glanced down at his stomach. He was only a few months in and this baby was already causing trouble. Jake just hoped he would get the chance to meet the baby.
Jake jumped as someone knocked at the door. He sighed as he stood up. He answered the door. Mason was there with a couple of takeout boxes.
"Hey Mason," Jake said.
"I got a text from Damien and he wanted me to check up on you and make sure you were eating," Mason said pushing his way inside.
"I'm not really that hungry," Jake said slowly as Mason brought the food to the table. "You know, throwing up all morning kind of makes you not want to eat."
"Even for a veggie burger and sweet potato fries with buffalo sauce?" Mason asked.
"Maybe," Jake said looking to the food Mason was holding out to him. It did look appetizing. Which was odd since he had been just puking his guts out and vowing to never eat again. "When I'm puking later I'll blame you," he said.
"Noted," Mason chuckled.
The pair sat down to eat. Jake was glad to have some company. It was better than being alone.
"So, how have you been?" Mason asked.
"Good, I mean the morning sickness sucks," Jake said waving his hand. He picked up his burger and stared eating.
"Yeah, I figured something was up. Damien never texts me," Mason chuckled. Jake laughed and nodded his head.
"I'm just hoping this all goes away. I'd rather have strange cravings than be puking all the time," Jake said.
"So, any thoughts on what your little bundle of joy might be?" Mason asked.
"We're split. I think it's a boy and Day thinks it's a girl," Jake said.
"Have you been thinking of any names," Mason asked curiously.
"Not yet, I think Damien's been hinting at the name Sophie for a girl, after his grandma," Jake said.
"Aw Sophie is cute," Mason said.
"Yeah, I agree but it's gonna be a boy so it doesn't matter," Jake said quickly. Mason laughed and shook his head.
"So what about you, how are you doing. Feels like forever since we've hung out," Jake said.
"I'm not up to much. I'm either working or watching Miri for Adam. She's so cute," Mason said.
"Of course she is, she's Miri," Jake chuckled.
Mason chuckled as well, shaking his head. The pair continued to catch up as they ate.
-We Are-
Adam smiled as he and Cooper walked through the rows of baby clothes. They were doing some shopping for things for baby Kendall. They still had all the necessities from Miri, but they wanted some new clothes. Jennifer had Miri for the morning so they didn't have to worry about her trying to grab things a from shelves.
"Oh Addie, look isn't this cute?" Cooper asked holding up a sleeper that had small green dinosaurs on it.
Adam smiled. "Yeah, go ahead," he said.
"Girls have all the cuter clothes," Cooper said as they continued walking.
"There are some good boy clothes, besides at this age it doesn't matter what they wear," Adam said.
"I know, but we're not gonna put him in a frilly dress now are we?" Cooper asked looking over at the dresses.
"No, I guess not," Adam replied with a chuckle.
"So, what do you think about Kyle and Lilly," Cooper asked as they walked along.
Kendall had mentioned to them what had happened between the two. Adam was shocked. He hadn't seen that coming at all.
"I don't know, I thought they were past all this and over," Adam said slowly.
"How do you think Jared will take the news, if he hasn't heard already," Cooper asked as the walked along.
"I don't know, if it were me I'd be upset that is happened especially with an ex," Adam said.
"Yeah, I guess," Cooper sighed.
"What?" Adam asked confused.
"I like to think that if you really love someone, you can work things out," Cooper replied.
"I will admit that Jared is different. Hopefully they can talk this out. All I know is Kyle has been the happiest I've ever seen him when he's with Jared," Adam said thoughtfully.
-We Are-
Kyle sighed as he made his way home. Being grounded sucked. He hadn't left the house for anything other than school for the last few days. Kyle hadn't really talked to anyone but Miles and Leora lately. Leora was still mad at him for his reaction to Lilly's news. Though, she was starting to come around. Miles was trying to help Kyle, but he usually made things worse. Kyle hadn't talked to Lilly either. She seemed to be avoiding him and everyone. Miles had told him she had become a shut in, at home as well.
Kyle walked inside. He made his way to the living room. James seemed to want to know when he was home. Him and Kendall were keeping a close eye on him. They didn't want him sneaking out again. Kyle thought they were being a bit harsh. Then again he did stay out all night. They were also kind of mad about him getting Lilly pregnant. That had to be a big factor as to why they were mad.
Kyle entered the living room and saw Jared sitting on the couch. He hadn't seen or talked to Jared since the other night. He had been agonizing over this since then. Kendall and James weren't anywhere in sight. Kyle was worried.
"Hey," Jared said smiling at him.
"Hey, so uh-do-uh," Kyle started not sure what to say.
"Yeah your dad knows I'm here. He gave me an hour to talk to you. He's got your pops out and is keeping him busy," Jared explained.
"Oh, ok," Kyle said slowly.
"Come sit," Jared said patting the couch beside him.
Kyle slowly made his way over to the couch. He sat down beside Jared. He felt so awkward.
"So," Kyle said awkwardly.
"Do you love her?" Jared asked quickly turning to face the blonde.
"What?" Kyle asked shocked.
"Do you love her?" Jared repeated.
"No, I don't. Not anymore," Kyle admitted. "What happened wasn't planned. I went there looking for Miles. She was there and things happened and before I knew it we...I messed up."
"You did love her once though," Jared said slowly.
"Yeah, that was before you. I love you and nothing is going to change that," Kyle assured him. He didn't want Jared to think that he didn't love him.
"Yeah, so what happens when someone else comes along? You left Lilly for me, what's to stop you from leaving me for her or someone else," Jared asked.
"What's stopping me is you," Kyle said simply. Jared gave him a confused look. "I love you Jared and I want to be with you. There is no one else for me." he clarified.
"Right cause you ran to Lilly the second you thought we were over," Jared snapped.
"I didn't run to her. I went looking for Miles. He's my best friend and listens to me when I'm angry and he will kick my ass when necessary. It was bad timing that he was out and Lilly wasn't," Kyle said.
"Bad luck? You knocked her up," Jared said quickly.
"I know what I did," Kyle said hanging his head. "I didn't handle things well and now she won't even talk to me."
"Maybe I should take a note," Jared muttered.
"Maybe you should," Kyle snapped.
"What if things were different. What if it was me and not her? Would you get mad?" Jared asked arching a brow at the younger blonde.
"What? That's would be totally different. I wouldn't be happy but we're dating," Kyle said.
"So that would make it ok? You're telling me that Lilly is just an awful person because you got her pregnant and that if it was me it would be different?" Jared asked.
"She's not awful," Kyle said annoyed.
"Miles told me you went off on her and made her feel like shit. He says she spends all her time in her room crying," Jared said.
Kyle's jaw dropped. He hadn't known that. Miles had kept that small detail from him. That hadn't been his intention. Hurting Lilly wasn't what he wanted, he had been shocked and upset that she was trying to lie to him. She was not completely innocent in this.
"Exactly, I think you owe her an apology and you two need to work things out. There is still something there between you guys. Figure it out and when you do call me," Jared said standing up. He turned and looked at Kyle. "I can't wait for forever though."
He left the room. Kyle jumped up and followed him. Was he really doing this now.
"Are you breaking up with me?" Kyle asked.
"Yeah, I think so," Jared sighed. He turned and took a few steps closer to Kyle. He pulled him into a slow sensual kiss. It was nothing more then that. It still left Kyle breathless. "I love you, I just can't keep worrying about if I'm loosing you to her. You're seventeen and you need time to explore. You're not ready to settle down into a mature relationship." he explained.
"No, don't do that, I am too," Kyle said glaring at Jared. He hated when Jared acted like this. They were only a few years apart in age.
"No you're not. You need to explore your options and figure out what you want. I'm at only the second person you have ever dated. By the time I was your age I had dated like six different guys. I've been keeping you from finding yourself. I don't want you to resent me
Someday because I kept you from exploring the work," Jared said shaking his head.
"You're an idiot," Kyle said simply.
"Maybe, but I'm doing this for you. You're still young and I don't want to tie you down," Jared said shrugging.
"You act like we're so far apart in age," Kyle spat.
"You'll realize I'm right," Jared said quickly.
"Fine whatever go. This is just you being scared that I'll run right back to Lilly. Just because she's pregnant doesn't make me love her. There is no one else for me. I've found the perfect one, but if you really believe this is the right thing to do then go," Kyle said pointing to the door.
Jared looked at the young blonde. Kyle could see the hurt in his eyes. He hated that Jared was even hurting in the first place. Maybe he was right. Kyle didn't want him to leave. He silently pleaded with him. He didn't know what else to say here. Jared sighed and turned and left.
Kyle stood there a moment. He had seen this coming. That didn't mean he should give up without a fight. Kyle raced out the door in time to see Hared drive away. Kyle ran down the lawn and watched him drive away. It felt like his heart was being ripped out. Kyle sunk down until he was sitting in the grass. Next thing he knew he was looking up at the sky with the ground to his back.
Kyle just wanted this all to stop. It's like one bad thing after the other. Everything bad just kept happening to him. It was like the world was against him. First, there was Lilly. Kyle didn't even really want to think about her right now. Then there was Jared. Jared was scared and trying to protect himself from getting hurt. It was kind of a smart move on Jared's part. Kyle was unpredictable. He haut didn't want to get hurt. Kyle didn't blame him.
Kyle just kept staring at the sky, wishing the world would implode and take away his pain. He would give anything to just stop feeling right now.
"What are you doing?"
Kyle lifted his head to look at Miles. He let his head fall back, barely noticing that that should've hurt him. He didn't feel anything right now. He was numb. He wasn't even sure how long he had been laying there.
"What's going on?"
Kyle heard a car door shut. He hadn't even heard the car pull in. Kyle did not need to look to see James and Kendall heading his way.
Kyle sat up and looked to where Jared had left. He sighed and didn't say a word. He wasn't sure if this was really happening. Part of him hoped he was dreaming and that he would wake up soon. He would wake up and Lilly wouldn't be pregnant and Jared would still be his.
"Kyle are you ok?" Kendall asked walking over to him. James was right behind him. They both looked worried.
Kyle didn't want to talk. It was Kendall's fault that Jared had even been here in the first place. If Kendall hadn't let him maybe Jared wouldn't have broken up with him.
"Miles what's wrong with him?" James asked.
"I don't know, I showed up and he was laying in the grass looking all depressed," Miles said.
"What time is it?" Kyle asked looking to Miles.
"Almost five, why?" Miles said confused.
Kyle held a hand out to Miles. Miles rolled his eyes and helped him to his feet. Kyle brushed himself off and sighed.
"You gonna tell us what you were doing?" Kendall asked.
"Just soaking in how amazing life is," Kyle replied sarcastically.
"What happened?" Kendall asked.
"Nothing," Kyle sighed. He turned and headed inside. He heard someone follow him. He knew it was Miles.
Kyle made his way to his bedroom. He left the door open for Miles. He collapsed on his bed. He heard the click of the door and rolled over to look at Miles.
"Well?" Miles asked.
"He broke up with me," Kyle said softly. It hurt to say it. It made it feel more real.
"What?" Miles asked shocked. He moved over and fell down beside the blonde.
"Yeah, I kind of saw it coming," Kyle sighed. That still didn't make it hurt any less. "If anything I was a jerk. I'm the one who slept around on him. I deserved it."
"Stop it you did not sleep around on him. It was one person and it just happened to end with her getting pregnant. It's not like you purposely planned this. I'm sorry I talked him into coming here. I thought he would be able to get you to come talk to Lilly," Miles apologized.
"It's not your fault. He would have found a way sooner or later to be able to talk to me," Kyle sighed.
"He's an idiot if you ask me," Miles said quickly.
"Thanks, if you don't mind I'd like to be alone right now," Kyle said.
"Yeah, ok, but seriously you need to talk to Lilly. Leora and I are tired of walking on eggshells around you two," Miles said quickly as he jumped up. He turned to face Kyle. "I know this sucks, but you have a responsibility now to that baby."
"I know, it's just a lot to take in, give me a bit. I have to convince the dictators to let me out," Kyle sighed. Miles nodded and left.
Kyle covered his face with his hands. He groaned, nothing ever wanted to work for him. Life just seemed to be going to shit. It was like everything that could go wrong was going wrong.
Kyle sighed and sat up. He wasn't going to sit here and pity himself. He had to make the best of the situation. He needed to talk to Lilly. The only problem would be getting her to listen.
-We Are-
Leora was sitting alone in the park. She just needed some time away from everybody. With everything going on, she was sure no one noticed she was gone. Between Adam about to have his baby or Jake having trouble with his pregnancy to even Lilly being pregnant and Kyle being a jerk, she was sure no one noticed her. Leora was the good child.
Leora looked down at the notebook on her lap. She was writing. It was a nice escape from reality for a bit. It was something she was good at apparently. Caleb was constantly telling her that her short stories were good. He told her that her poems were brilliant. Leora didn't think they were that great, but Caleb seemed to like them. He encouraged her to pursue a writing career. It wasn't a bad idea either.
"You look lonely."
Leora looked up and saw Lucas standing before her. She hadn't heard anyone even come up. She patted the bench beside her. Lucas sat down.
"What you doing out here all alone?" Lucas asked.
"I could ask you the same thing," Leora said quickly.
"I'm not alone, Artie is getting is some hot chocolate," Lucas said pointing to a stand not that far away from teen.
"I'm just getting out of the house," Leora shrugged.
"Feeling invisible? I know the feeling. I'm the forgotten one too, you know since I don't live with them," Lucas said.
"A little, I'm the only one who doesn't have anything crazy happening right now," Leora sighed. She closed her notebook and turned to Lucas.
"Well isn't that a good thing?" Lucas asked.
"Yes, but like you said I feel a little invisible," Leora said.
"But you're not," Lucas said, "your family loves you, they just have some other things to deal with right now. Just let things calm down and things will get back to normal."
"Sure," Leora commented dryly.
"They will, trust me," Lucas said waving over to Artie to come over. Artie walked over to the pair.
"Hi Artie," Leora said with a smile.
"Hey," Artie greeted her.
"Sorry Artie, I saw Leora all alone looking lonely. I just wanted to make sure she was ok," Lucas said.
"I'm fine, go enjoy your date," Leora said nudging Lucas.
"Are you sure?" Lucas asked.
"I'm sure," Leora said. Lucas gave her a quick hug before getting up. He left with Artie.
Leora watched them walk away. She did feel a little better than before. Lucas was right. There was just a lot going on at the moment. Once everything settled, things would be fine.
-We Are-
Kyle sighed as he looked up the Mitchell's house. It had never looked so daunting before. Kyle could remember a time when this place had been a happy sanctuary away from home where he could hangout with Lilly and Leora. Now he dreaded coming here. Especially after everything that had happened between him and Lilly.
Kyle slowly made his way up the stairs. He wasn't going to be reviewing a warm welcome. That much he knew. If he could just get past Logan. He was going to be Kyle's biggest obstacle, next to Lilly. He was sure she didn't want to talk to him either.
Over the last few days Kyle had done a bit of thinking. He needed to talk to Lilly. Kyle wasn't going to abandon her. He wasn't going to date her, but he would step up and help her with this baby. He would do what ever it took.
Mustering up his courage, he knocked on the door. He bit his lip as he waited for someone to answer the door. He thanked the heavens when Layla opened the door.
"You shouldn't be here," Layla said.
"Why not? I need to talk to Lilly," Kyle said.
"Go ahead, but don't say I didn't warn you," Layla said stepping aside.
"Thanks Layla," Kyle said moving past her. He ran past her and up the stairs. He stopped at Lilly's bedroom door. He knocked. The door opened to reveal and irritated Lily.
"Go away Miles I don't want to-what do you want?" Lilly asked. She glared at him. She opened her mouth. Kyle quickly placed a hand over her mouth.
"I just want to talk, please," he pleaded. Lilly grabbed his hand and lowered it.
"What is there left to say?" Lilly asked.
"I'm sorry," Kyle said looking down at the ground. "I'm sorry for the way I reacted, but can you blame me. You were trying to lie to me."
"No I can't blame you, but still you were a bit of a jerk," Lilly said crossing her arms over her chest.
"Ok will you just drop the innocent victim act?" Kyle asked annoyed. He was sick of her doing this. She had been doing it ever since they had broken up. She made him seem like the bad guy and everyone bought it.
"Kyle-" Lilly started.
"No you're as guilty as I am here. I came here looking for someone to talk to. You knew I was upset and took advantage of that," Kyle said.
"I should've stopped you," Lilly said looking away from him.
"I just want you to know that I will do anything to help," Kyle said quickly. He had done some thinking over the last few days. The right thing to do was help Lilly. He wasn't going to abandon this kid.
"Oh," Lilly said slowly.
"Lilly, it's time to...what are you doing here?"
Kyle turned to see Logan. He was glaring daggers at him. Kyle wasn't surprised. Lilly was a daddy's girl. She had him wrapped around her finger. If anyone bought her act it was him.
"Kyle and I were talking," Lilly said stepping out of her room. She shut the door and looked to Logan once more. "Is papi home? There's something we need to talk about," she said.
"He should be home any minute," Logan said slowly. "Is everything all right?"
"Yeah, I just want to talk to you guys," Lilly said, "you too," she added looking to Kyle.
"Me?" Kyle asked shocked. He hadn't expected her to cave so quickly.
"Yes, you are involved in this as well," Lilly said.
Footsteps were heard. The three looked to the stairs. Carlos appeared at the top. He looked to them confused.
"Papi," Lilly said walking over to him. "We need to talk, can we take this downstairs?" She asked.
"Uh, sure what's going on?" Carlos asked confused as he let his daughter usher him back down stairs. Kyle quickly followed them not wanting to be alone with Logan for too long.
The four entered the living room. Lilly quickly kicked Layla out. The younger left grumbling about how moody Lilly was, one minute she wanted to be alone the next she had everybody around her. Kyle had to fight back a laugh at that.
"So what's going on mija?" Carlos asked looking to his daughter as he and Logan sat down. Kyle remained standing.
"Well, I've done some thinking and I think it's in everyone's best interest if I were to give the baby up for adoption," Lilly said quickly.
The room fell silent. Of all the things Kyle had expected her to say, that wasn't one of them. He almost didn't know what to say.
"Are-are you sure?" Carlos asked after a moment.
"Carlos it's her decision," Logan said quickly cutting Lilly off.
"Are you kidding me right now?" Kyle asked.
"No, look Kyle this was a mistake, we know that. I just want what's best for this baby. We are not ready for this," Lilly said quickly. "This is what's best. We can find a family that wants this kid and will raise them."
"No way," Kyle said shaking his head. He couldn't help but think about Penelope. It had messed her up to find out she was adopted. It was messing with Kendall as well. Kyle could see how affected his dad was, even if he brushed it off. He didn't want to go through that.
"I've made up my mind," Lilly said stubbornly.
"Mija, let's not be rash. You're only a month or so along, you've got time to really think about this," Carlos said quickly.
"I think it's a good idea," Logan said quickly. Lilly looked to Logan. A small smile flashed across her face for a second. She was glad to have someone on her side.
"This is bullshit, she's got you so wrapped around her finger you'll bend over backwards just to please her," Kyle snapped.
"Kyle," Lilly said shocked.
It was too late. Logan jumped up angry. Kyle didn't back down. He wasn't going to give this up. He was sick of being intimidated by Logan. Lilly wasn't a little girl anymore. She knew what she was doing. Logan was fooling himself if he thought otherwise.
"Look, you two are kids and aren't ready for this," Logan said in a forced calm voice.
"Lilly's an adult. She's eighteen now and she knows exactly what she's doing," Kyle snapped annoyed, "besides how can you willingly want to give up you're own flesh and blood. That's your grandchild!"
"Kyle stop, this is my decision," Lilly said trying to defuse the situation.
"Not if I have anything to do with this. That's my child as well," Kyle said
"Be practical here Kyle, you're only a junior in high school. Do you want to spend your a riot year with a baby? Lilly's doing what's best for this kid," Logan asked.
"How can you sit there and say that? Especially after everything that happened recently?" Kyle asked annoyed. "It really fucks a person up when they find out they are adopted. It's worse when it's a celebrity's child."
The front door opened and rushed foot steps were heard. Kendall and James entered the room. They looked to Kyle who was still standing up to Logan.
"Ok this is getting old real fast, I am tired of getting texts from Carlos telling me you're about to murder my son," Kendall said walking up to the two. "You can't come over here and not start a fight?" He pulled Kyle away from Logan.
"She wants to give up the baby. She's just being a selfish brat and he's letting her," Kyle said pointing a finger at Logan.
"Watch it," Logan said glaring at the boy.
"What?" Kendall asked looking to Carlos and Lilly.
"I just think it would be in everyone's best interest if I gave the baby up for adoption," Lilly said quietly.
Kendall closed his mouth. It wasn't in his place to say anything. Kyle knew what he wanted to say. It was about Penelope.
"Lilly you're making a mistake. Look at what my family is going through with Penelope," Kyle said quickly. He has to appeal to her rational side. She wasn't thinking straight. She was upset and trying to be rash. She still had nine more months to think about this. She could still change her mind.
"I've made up my mind," Lilly said firmly.
"Fine, I'll just have to spend the next nine months convincing you that you are wrong. Especially since I knew a few people here will most likely help me," Kyle said quickly, looking to Carlos and Kendall. He had noticed Carlos' reaction when Lilly dropped the bomb on them. He wasn't happy about this.
"He's right mija I don't think this is a good idea," Carlos spoke up.
"It doesn't matter what you think. This is my decision," Lilly snapped. She jumped up and ran from the room.
"This is all your fault," Logan said looking to Kyle.
Kyle opened his mouth, but Kendall cut him off, "Logan enough, you of all people should know it takes two to make a baby. Lilly isn't innocent in all of this."
Kyle looked to Kendall. He was glad that someone was on his side. He knew Kendall was probably gonna yell at him when they got home, but at least someone could see through Logan's bull shit.
"I think you should leave," Logan said simply.
"I think you need to get your head out of your ass and realize Lilly is not a little girl anymore," Kendall said turning and placing a hand on Kyle's shoulder. He led him out with James right behind him. The three reached the sidewalk when Logan called out to Kendall.
Kendall glanced back and saw him standing on the porch alone. He looked defeated. Kendall told James and Kyle to go. Kyle followed James down the street.
"Should we be worried?" Kyle asked glancing over his shoulder.
"No, they may argue, but they are friends and they didn't get to where they are today by lying to each other. They respect each others honesty," James explained.
"So it's like me and Miles? We never lie to each other, even if it's not what the other wants to hear," Kyle said.
"Exactly," James said nodding his head with a smile.
-We Are-
Logan sighed as he leaned against the railing. Kendall's as standing next thin as they watched Kyle and James leave.
"I'm sorry, it's still hard to believe that Lilly is eighteen already and not my little girl anymore," Logan sighed once more.
"It doesn't get any easier, soon Layla will be all grown up too and you'll wonder where all the time went," Kendall said.
"A part of me knows that Lilly is to blame too, but it's so much easier to blame Kyle," Logan said honestly.
"I was the same way with Adam and Cooper the first time. I wanted to blame Cooper for getting Adam pregnant when I know it was probably Adam who instigated things," Kendall said moving to stand beside his friend.
"At least you're honest with me. Carlos has been doting on Lilly and letting me say what I want. I think he tunes it out and tries to put a smile on," Logan admitted.
"Logan, I will be honest with you until the day I die. I will continue to call you out on your shit no matter what," Kendall promised. Logan chuckled as he shoved the blonde.
"Thank you," Logan said softly.
"Also I know when to stop," Kendall added.
"Doesn't seem like it sometimes," Logan muttered.
"So how do you feel about her decision," Kendall asked changing the subject.
"I think it's very practical of her, but not smart. I don't think she will go through with it. Especially if Kyle has anything to say about it," Logan said.
"No, I don't think he will let her. He's seen what it does to a family. It's turned our family upside down. Penelope is so messed up too," Kendall said.
"He's getting to be a little shit, just like you were at that age," Logan commented.
"I know, Carlos has to keep texting me telling me that you two are about to kill each other," Kendall chuckled.
"You know I see so much of you in that boy," Logan said.
"I see a lot of you in Miles as well," Kendall replied.
"Really?" Logan asked.
"Is it a wonder why those two are such good friends?" Kendall asked.
"I guess not," Logan said.
"So now, go talk to your daughter and be kind about it too. Don't push her, the more your against this the more she will want to do it," Kendall said.
"I know, I was being supportive, but Carlos isn't happy. I can already see that," Logan said quickly.
"Tell him what I just told you," Kendall said rolling his eyes.
"I suppose, but she'll know something is up if he flips and pulls a one eighty," Logan said.
"You think of something, you always were the smart one," Kendall said quickly. Logan laughed at that.
-We Are-
Jared was sitting alone in the apartment. He was glaring at the TV, which wasn't even turned on. He had been sitting here for a few hours now. Things just didn't seem to want to turn out for him.
Jared had no idea where Roldy and Noah were. They were probably off being the perfect couple. The pair never seemed to fight and if it was, it was over something small. It never lasted long. The two were back to being sickeningly adorable. Jared was a bit jealous.
Jared shook his head. 'No, Jared don't be like that. They deserve to be happy. Don't be bitter. You did this so you wouldn't get hurt.'
Jared had done the right thing. Kyle had probably already gone back to Lilly. It was the right thing to do, that kid would need a dad. Who was Jared to step in the way of that. That was the reason. At least that's what Jared told himself.
Jared didn't flinch when the door opened. Noah and Roldy entered the apartment giggling. Jared felt another prang of jealousy. He shook his head and tried not to feel jealous.
"What have you two been up to?" Jared asked standing up. He turned to his friends who looked shocked to see him.
"Oh hey Jer, didn't see you there," Rolsy said.
"Guess what," Noah said quickly.
"What?" Jared asked.
"We decided on a date for our wedding," Noah said gleefully. Roldy just smiled at Noah.
"Really when?" Jared asked.
"December, I've always wanted a winter wedding," Noah sighed dreamily.
"Yeah, he wants to have it up at that ski resort that Kendall stayed at," Roldy informed him.
"Yeah, we were only there for like a day but it's so pretty," Noah sighed with a smile.
"Cool so you have just under a year to plan it," Jared said.
"Yes, but Kelly said it's doable," Noah said.
"Jared, you'll be my best man right?" Roldy asked.
"I already assumed I was," Jared replied with a smile.
There you go another chapter. Jared broke up with Kyle! Can Kyle change his mind? Can Kyle change Lilly's mind? Will she stick to her decision? Will Leora become visible to her family? What will she have to do for attention? Will Jared realize his mistake? NoRo wedding plans! So much to do so little time. I hope you enjoyed this chapter. As always more to come so I will see you next time.
