Operation Blank Conspiracy 30

The operation began early the next morning. Duo was still yawning from tiredness as he rubbed at his eyes. Trowa assumed he hadn't been able to sleep, especially when the other grunted looking frustrated that he was awake. It was already 5:30 in the morning, a time that Trowa was used to waking up at but one that he was sure Duo hadn't gotten accustomed to.

Trowa on the other hand looked like he was well rested even if he didn't feel like it. He knew why though and it put a small smile on his lips, one that seemed to go unnoticed by the braided male staring at him. Last night had been a dream come true, a dream that left Quatre flustered this morning as he tried to get dressed with a shy flush on his cheeks. It probably hadn't helped that Trowa stared at him the whole time with amused emerald eyes and called him cute.

A cup of coffee was brought to Duo from one of the technicians and he seemed glad for it as he smiled with a nod of thanks to the guy. They were taking one of the smaller shuttles out and were planning on leaving it with the pilots while they snuck onboard the MS13.

MS13 was the new name for the mysterious space shuttle, at least until they figured out who they were and what they were up to. They were sure to be on the lookout for anything suspicious considering that a few of their mobile suits had been taken out yesterday. But they had their plans for how they were going to get onboard.

Trowa was already wearing his tight plug suit and made it look like it was the most comfortable thing in the world with the way he moved in it. Duo on the other hand was taking some time to adjust to it, constantly pulling on the pants and grumbling at how constricted they felt. It was obvious he never wore the things before or probably anything like it. Trowa was used to wearing tight clothes since he wore spandex in the circus he and his sister used to be a part of before they joined the Preventers. Granted the plug suits were made of a lot stronger material and literally kept everything in place. Which was a good thing considering how many times he'd stared at Quatre getting dressed into his own plug suit.

Trowa looked over watching Duo in amusement and the other couldn't help blushing as he was caught tugging at the crotch.

"I hate these things," Duo grumbled out.

"You'll get used to them," Trowa said.

"I hope so. I feel like I need to breathe down there." Trowa just chuckled before returning his attention out the window. Quatre did things to him, made him feel things he hadn't felt in a long time. He knew what jokes were, how to smile, how to laugh. They were things he didn't do before, things that didn't happen even around Catherine who was his blood sibling. He liked Catherine of course, would do anything for her. But this feeling that Quatre gave him, the way the blond would look at him then quickly look away with a blush was something he'd never be able to live without.

"So what's the plan?" Duo asked sitting beside him looking intrigued by the whole idea of invading the unknown enemy.

"We'll sneak in here," Trowa said looking down at the laptop and pointing at one of the maintenance doors barely even noticing Duo peering closer from his side. The screen showed a modeled image of the shuttle taken from the photos Heero had sent to HQ along with a detailed floor plan of MS13. "We'll knock out a few workers and steal their gear. Should be able to move around almost freely then."

"The inconspicuous route, huh?" Duo rubbed at his chin staring at the screen. "Yeah, I've had to do that a few times." Duo smirked as he looked at Trowa having a cocky grin to it. "That's why I can get away with wearing drag."

"That's because you're a girl." Trowa's lips lifted at the corners into a smirk at the open mouthed expression on Duo's face. "From your own words."

"That was just a prank! You should know that I'm not a-"

"Here."

Duo blinked at the small bag being shoved into his hands and frowned letting his eyes ride up to Trowa. He didn't look amused but he seemed willing to let the conversation change. "What's this?"

"Some gear." Trowa closed down the laptop and put it to the side as he pulled up his own little bag to sit in his lap. "We'll set them around MS13. You could come up with some good spots." Trowa looked over at him. "Individual bags in case we get separated."

"Well that would kind of suck for a first time mission."

"Here."

"…And what's this?" Duo lifted a brow looking up at him as the item was placed into his hands.

"Cellphone," Trowa said giving out the simplest response. "The official Preventers one." Duo whistled at that while Trowa tucked his own into one of the miniature pockets on his plug suit. The good thing about these office phones was the fact that every number pertaining to the Preventers was encoded inside. It meant he already had Duo and Quatre's numbers but it also meant he had easy access to the three colonels. Depending on your importance in the Preventers changed what numbers your phone could dial out.

They weren't cheap in the least. Each was set to a person's voice, looks, or fingerprints. It became your unique phone during your career with the organization. And because you could set up speed dial and favorites, getting to the person you wanted to contact was as quick as a button touch away. For Trowa, those of importance were the other three pilots, the colonels, and Doktor S who built his gundam. Duo had joined the list now that he was a Preventer and an elitist.

The braided male seemed to have lost interest in asking Trowa more questions as he started flipping through the phone, the light of the screen reflecting off his eyes. He was already processing how to use it. Trowa could read it in his eyes and how his fingers moved. They still had a couple of hours left till they got to MS13. By the time they got there, he had a feeling Duo would know everything there was to know about that phone. Which was amazing considering it took everyone else, including the gundam pilots, at least a week to a few days to figure it out.

Duo had a little time for a nap before they arrived at their destination. When he woke up it was with complete focus. He had a mission. He'd never had one of those before, at least not officially. A part of him felt the excitement as well as the nervousness thundering in his chest. But he didn't let it show on his face. This wasn't like it was his first time doing infiltration into a place, just the first time actually doing it as a job. He'd follow Trowa, see how he did it. It didn't mean he'd follow his same technique, but it wasn't bad to pick up on how others did it.

When they slipped out from the shuttle it was under silence. They had small jet packs made to help push them towards MS13. They weren't meant to last long but it would be more than enough to get to where they needed to be. He breathed heavily into his helmet, his braid having been shoved down into the back of his plug suit before he'd left. He didn't need that as a distraction.

He was sure he could easily hear Trowa's voice in the helmet if the other spoke. They were built with built in speakers for easy communication. But there wasn't a reason to speak here. They knew what the mission was and what had to be done. Talking would only cause problems in this case. They needed to focus.

They neared the space station with no problems. Gripping hold of the handle, Trowa placed something onto the door. It took him a minute and Duo could see Trowa's mouth moving in his helmet like he was talking. The next thing he knew a green light popped up on the device as the door slid open easily allowing them access inside. Trowa looked over at him signaling with two fingers for Duo to follow his mouth. With a quick nod, Duo picked up on what he wanted him to do. At the count of three, the both of them went inside, one facing one direction while the other faced the opposite side. Guns were pointed out prepared to take out any targets in the area.

Luckily it seemed the hanger here was clear. It looked like it'd been in disuse for a while having only the backup lights overhead on to provide them with visual. When they were sure it was safe they moved on floating slowly but cautiously towards the small locker room. Inside they found some leftover maintenance suits and slipped into them quickly. Well it wasn't a janitor's outfit but it was close enough. Luck had it there was even a tool bag sitting inside forgotten and dusty from misuse.

It felt like home having the small green cap on his head, as if his head were made for wearing baseball caps. He looked up at Trowa seeing the veteran agent slipping his own cap on before looking at him with emerald eyes and giving a quick nod of his head. It was time to move on.

The hallway was quiet for the most part. It gave them enough time to set up one of the micro cameras they'd brought with them. Duo watched Trowa work silently while keeping his eyes peeled down the hallway on either side of them for unwanted visitors. When Trowa finished setting up the camera he turned around looking at Duo giving him something of a tiny grin.

"So far so good."

"Yeah…a little quiet though isn't it?" Duo frowned a bit looking back behind him. "Shouldn't this place be bustling with people?"

"Unless we're in a remotely unused part of the shuttle." Trowa wiped a hand across his forehead before he looked around as well. "And it looks like this place hasn't been used for years."

"Meaning this might not be as big an organization as we think." It definitely didn't sound like OZ that's for sure. OZ would have utilized every bit of space they had. This place here either didn't care about the excess space or they were short staffed. It meant they'd have to be extra careful about drawing attention. He was sure all the staff were familiar with each other here.

"We should split up for now," Trowa said kneeling down as he opened up his backpack. Duo moved kneeling down as well to be nosy before he blinked finding a small device looking like a clip-on earring being strapped to his ear.

"What's this?"

"Microphone," Trowa said clipping it on his own ear, at the side which was how he'd done Duo's as well. "You'll hear me and Quatre with this."

"Quatre?"

"Morning, Duo." The voice sounded cheerful on the other side. "I'll be here to guide you to your destination and to scope out the security as well."

"Seriously?" Duo blinked staring ahead at Trowa seeing the mysterious grin on the other's face. "You can do all of that from there?"

"I can with this piece attached to your ear. It has a small camera built into it and lets me read in a ten foot radius at least. So I'll be able to pick up on security cameras, but it'll be your responsibility to keep up with the people there."

Duo whistled at that already liking the sound of this thing. "That's some pretty high speed tech there."

Quatre laughed at the words. "Yeah, Trowa and I came up with it during one of our late night brainers. It's still just a prototype though." The male with the long bangs just gave a nod of his head when Duo looked over at him. "Anyway, to get back on topic here." Quatre's tone of voice changed to a more serious one moving the situation back to the job at hand. "Duo, you'll be moving through the ventilation systems. We'll be looking for the gundamium alloy to set up the explosive so we can destroy it. Trowa's going to be looking for the main terminal so we can find out who these guys are and what they're planning."

"Crawling through the vents, huh?" Duo looked up over his head to the vent that looked like it was filled with dust before he made a face. Really, did he have to go crawling through all that grime? Yeah…he'd wait until they were further away first. "Fine, I can work with that I guess." Trowa handed him some explosives and he quickly slipped them into his coveralls before grabbing a few of the tools from the tool box slipping them on his suit. Well he might as well look the part of maintenance just in case someone did feel like investigating him.

"Guys, be careful. We don't know anything about what these guys are capable of. It's best to avoid confrontation if possible."

"Got it," Trowa said standing up with Duo and handing off some of the micro cameras to him. "Come on. We'll go as far as we can before splitting up." Duo nodded putting the cameras away before the two of them started off down the hallway leaving behind the backpacks in the abandoned docking station.
