Pairings: Duo/Heero, Quatre/Trowa

Warnings: possibilities of later violence, supernatural stuff, kinky moments, guns...um...gundams, implied sex, men in drag

Author's comment: I think I'm enjoying Duo in a dress a little too much. XD But it's fun. I'm sure Heero agrees. (Nodnod)

Operation Blank Conspiracy 36

Wufei frowned when they arrived, thankful for the escape from the shuttle and the freedom to breathe while not being under Treize's 24 hour watchful sight. He swore the man stared at him almost the whole way until Wufei took it upon himself to go into hiding, literally finding him a small cranny to tuck himself into for the rest of the trip. His body ached, he was tired, and quite frankly, he just wanted to lie in a bed somewhere till all the aches went away. He'd yet to get his hands on the Fly-Z, being told he'd get more once the party was over.

The party was in three days which meant three days of staying in this god forsaken place with a man he wanted to be as far away from as possible. Wufei had been here plenty of times, he was sure he'd get a room with no problems. Granted, it'd be hard to suggest that with him supposedly being Jin Shing right now. He was sure he'd probably end up with a room right next to Treize's, which was annoying but at least he'd have some privacy for himself.

"Glad to see you've finally come to join me again, Jin." The voice belonged to Treize Khushrenada, the very man that Wufei wanted to avoid the most. He wanted nothing more than to run away at the sound of his voice, but instead he sucked it in and turned around showing Treize the most annoyed face he could muster.

"Sorry to have been away for so long…sir." Yeah…sarcasm. He couldn't help it. By now the other guards were used to it showing amused smirks at his annoyed expression. Considering how much favoritism Treize showed to him, it was obvious in their eyes that Wufei had to be giving up something to get that kind of attention. Not that he was giving anything up but his pride. Think what they may want, he knew he wasn't Treize's little lap dog. He was a preventer…and right now he was preventing Treize from touching him the best way he could.

"By the way, we're sharing rooms."

"What?!" Wufei knew his eyes must have looked like giant donut holes with how big they got. "Why?! Who made that stupid arrangement?!"

"I did," Treize said smirking down at him. "I told the queen that I would need my advisor and personal guard by my side at all times. Do you think it was a bad suggestion?"

"It…" Wufei snapped his mouth shut forcing himself to breath before he continued, staring up at Treize, eyes shining with defiance. "No sir."

"Good good." Treize reached down patting the top of Wufei's head like he was a pup, causing the guards around them to snicker at the sight. Damn it, Treize was making a mockery out of him. "Now then, why don't we turn in for the night." The way he said it, the look in his eyes put Wufei on edge as he felt his body tense up, glancing away quickly.

"Sir…it's only 6 o' clock. Isn't it kind of early?" This man…

"Nonsense. We've traveled so far that I think we deserve to rest in a real bed. Don't you?"

"…If you don't mind, sir, I'd rather walk around a bit. I'm not exactly feeling the sleep hitting me yet."

"Well at least take a look at the room with me," Treize said looking up as old man Pagan came out to greet them. "You might find yourself enjoying it." …Those words had better not mean what he thought they did. Or else Treize was going to find himself with a sword through his chest in the morning if he so much as tried anything, agreements or not.

"Good afternoon, sirs," the butler said bowing with one hand over his stomach before he looked at them from under old brows. "Your rooms have already been prepared for you. If you'll just follow me." He turned around walking away leaving them with little option but to follow. Granted Wufei probably had a little more dread in the look on his face at having to be stuck beside someone he wanted to strangle with a pillow case.

The room that Pagan took them to was about as elaborate as Treize's room at the space station. With the amount of rose petals sprinkled on the bed it was almost like Relena new his favorite plant. The silk sheets were a light, soft blue color that once again made Wufei jealous of the person who owned it. Seriously, did everyone around here have silk sheets? He seriously just wanted to rub his body all over it. Did he have a silk fetish or something? Windows had been left open and partly cracked to let in a soft breeze and fresh air. They were up on the second floor where there was a door leaning out to a balcony.

He was tempted to check it out but refrained himself when he saw the look of amusement cross Treize's face. He wasn't even going to go into the look of the brown and white marble floors or how it was so clean he could see his face in it. The bed looked rather big. A helpful thought if he really did get stuck with sleeping in the same bed. Or maybe he could request for a second bed to be brought in. Hell, he might just sleep on the floor instead. It'd be a little chilly but at least he'd be safe.

"I'll leave you to rest sir. Dinner will be ready at 7. I'll send a maid to escort you to the dining room when it's time." Pagan gave a bow before he grabbed the handles of the two doors closing them and leaving Wufei alone with the taller male.

"Hmm…looks like it's just me and you for a little while, Jin," Treize said not sounding the least bit upset by that as Wufei turned around to stare at him frowning. "You seemed interested in the balcony," Treize said moving towards the balcony doors and opening them. "Shall we take a look out together?" He glanced back when he asked. His cool blue eyes stared into Wufei's ebony orbs before the younger male looked away ignoring the heat on his cheeks.

"No thanks," Wufei said walking over to the bed and flopping down. So what if he messed up the perfect sheets. He was taking advantage of the silk sheets while he still had the opportunity. His body was sore from hiding out on the shuttle the whole trip and he really just wanted to lie out and take a nap. But he couldn't. He knew he wasn't going to be able to relax while Treize was in the room with him. But he needed to rest somehow. He wasn't going to last long like this.

Treize chuckled drawing Wufei's attention to him again. He saw the man glance at him, a small bird sitting on his finger like they were the best of friends. It made Wufei lift a brow in surprise to see such a gentle creature near such an evil monster. It seemed almost unreal…because it made it harder to see Treize as the dog of Romefeller he really was.

"Get some sleep," Treize said, the smile on his face seemed sincere. "I won't do anything while you're in such a vulnerable state." Wufei glared at him staring at him but it was hard to find suspicion there. He really believed that Treize wasn't going to try anything. Before he knew it, he'd laid back letting his legs dangle off the side of the bed. His eyes closed as he turned his head enjoying the coolness of the silk on his cheek wishing he weren't so overdressed so he could enjoy it to the fullest. He didn't take notice of Treize staring at him from the door as the bird flew away returning to the garden below. Because before he knew it, he was dead to the world claimed by the much needed demand for sleep.

Oh this was going to be awkward. Duo frowned walking down the hallway to where Treize's room was. He knew that Wufei would be there as his advisor but it didn't help the fact that he was going to see Treize, the man that allegedly was a part of OZ if not the owner of OZ. He wasn't comfortable with that knowledge, even as his heels clacked away at the marble floor as he headed in the direction of the representative's room. The reason he was being sent was to see how well the disguise would work. It'd be useless if Treize knew who he was. So it'd be better to just get it out of the way instead of being surprised later.

That didn't make him feel any less nervous than he already felt which seemed to be quite a bit. He didn't like being near anyone associated with OZ. Instinct told him he needed to kill him. Anyone that was with OZ was evil, pure and simple. But he needed to remember where he was and who he was. He was a preventer, a person that was supposed to stop the fires of war by stopping them where they started. Killing Treize would only lead to a war since Romefeller wouldn't be past pointing blame on the Preventers and attacking them. The whole game was a political war zone that he wanted no part of. He wasn't into that kind of thing.

Besides, if Treize really was a part of OZ, he'd have plenty of useful information, such as how to fix Duo so that he didn't need to use the Fly-Z. He'd have the information on who created the Fly-Z and whether there were other test subjects being tortured. He'd find out about what happened to 01 after Duo's escape.

Duo paused in front of the door, straightening out the skirt and taking a deep breath before he knocked. He tried not to be bothered by the two giant hunkering guards standing by the door looking at him. They barely gave him a glance besides to check out his legs which, gladly, were covered up with some stockings. When the door opened, Duo put on his best fake smile as he looked up at the man that stood at the door. So this was Treize Khushrenada. Interestingly enough, he didn't look like much of a threat and definitely looked much younger than he had expected.

"Good afternoon sir," Duo said in his best feminine voice as he quickly bowed to him. "I'm here to escort you to the dinner party."

"Ah I see. Thank you for the hard work." He didn't show any suspicion on his face which put Duo at ease as he stepped back to let the man step out. Duo found himself lifting a brow when Treize stepped out and closed the door behind him.

"Um…is your advisor not coming as well?"

"Sorry, he's had a long trip so he's resting up for now." Treize smiled at Duo but didn't bother looking him up and down like so many of the other men had done. "If you'd be so kind as to bring him a plate of food later, I'd really appreciate it." Duo frowned but he nodded his head giving another bow.

"Then, please follow me to the dining room, sir." Duo turned starting to walk away hearing the footfalls of Treize right behind him. He wondered if Wufei was feeling well finding it hard to imagine that the man would fall asleep with the enemy right next to him. But then again if Wufei was supposed to be the trusted advisor, it shouldn't seem like such a shock. He hoped Treize wasn't doing something to his young friend just for Wufei to get the Fly-Z from him.

Duo glanced back taking note that one of the brutish guards was following them. It made sense. It wasn't like they could just let their representative just walk around unprotected in enemy territory, truce or not.

He'd gotten himself used to walking around in the heels, moving far more graceful than he wanted to admit. He frowned counting down the time. Three more days until the birthday bash. Then he wouldn't have to wear this getup anymore and could finally be free to be the man he really was. Glancing back, he saw Treize's eyes flicker to his before he gave a gentle smile that almost made Duo trip up. Was this really the man that controlled OZ? Hell, it didn't even seem like he should be associated with Romefeller at all.

"Here you are, sir," Duo said turning and holding his hand out gesturing for Treize to enter. "Please enjoy your stay. If there's anything that you need, please don't hesitate to call for me or any of the other maids here."

Duo started to turn and walk away before Treize's voice stopped him. "Your name?"

"…." Duo frowned slightly before he turned around and smiled up at Treize. "Duet," he said smiling up at the man as kindly as he could. "It's…a name my mother gave to me because her and my father liked to sing duets together."

"Duet…it's quite a beautiful name," Treize said smiling at him.

"Um…thank you sir," Duo said bowing his head again. "If you'll excuse me, I have more tasks I have to take care of." At Treize's nod, Duo turned heading off trying not to run under the other's watchful gaze. The disguise had worked successfully. Duo smirked to himself. He could be an actor for the performance he just put on. Maybe that wasn't such a bad idea. He'd be a superstar. Now he just needed to wait a little bit before he made some food to take to Wufei. He wanted to check up on his comrade to make sure he was ok. He'd hate to find out if Treize did anything to him.

:::::::::::::::::::::::::::

The sound of persistent knocking was what woke him up. Wufei groaned sitting up from his comfortable position in the bed. He found that his shoes had been removed and that he'd been covered with a light blanket though his clothes were still on him. Instantly, his eyes went around the room looking for Treize only to find himself alone. It made his brow rise up in confusion to try and figure it all out. Had Treize done this for him? It seemed unlikely yet he doubted anyone else came into the room afterwards.

The knock on the door roused him from his thoughts as he pushed himself from the bed. He made sure to fit his hat onto his head along with his glasses before he started for the door. He wasn't worried about being shoeless, his white socks moving past the smoothness of the marble floor. Opening the door, he saw a maid standing there holding a tray of food for him. Something felt familiar about the young woman, especially with how fat those cheeks were.

"Good afternoon sir," she said smiling at him easily. "I've brought some food for you from tonight's dinner party. If you don't mind letting me in I'll set it up for you."

"Uh…sure." Wufei glanced up noticing the large guard standing there looking at them before he stepped back. He also didn't miss the way the maid glanced at the guard then looked back at Wufei with a frown on her face. "Please, come in."

"Thank you, sir." He waited until the maid came inside before he closed the door behind him. When he turned around he saw the maid sitting down on the bed, legs crossed like she owned it. She was holding the tray in her lap and looking at Wufei with a grin on her face that strongly resembled a certain braided male he'd grown very protective of. "Interesting outfit they have you in, Wuffers."

At the name Wufei couldn't help the smile spreading out across his face. Only one person would dare to call him such a stupid name. "I could say the same of you, madam." He smirked bowing slightly and not missing the redness on Duo's cheeks as he grumbled turning his eyes away.

"I didn't get much of a choice considering," he said giving a grunt. "Anyway, you'll have to call me Duet for now until this whole mess is over." Duo got up leaving the food on the bed as he tugged his skirt down some looking for all the world like he'd been born into it.

"It looks good on you. I'm actually surprised you managed to pull it off."

"With the queen constantly forcing me through vigorous training, I didn't have much choice." He pouted as he gave Wufei a pathetic look. "I even had to shave my legs."

Wufei laughed before he used his hand to cover it not wanting to alert the guard outside. But this just amused him a little too much. And with Duo poking his lips out, he looked just like a pouting little girl. "Well Ms. Duet, I'm going to have to ask you to call me Jin Shing," Wufei said keeping his voice down.

"Interesting," Duo said winking an eye at him. "I'll have to remember that." He looked towards the door. "Anyway, I better get out of here before they get suspicious. Wouldn't want them thinking I was banging the representative's advisor."

Wufei frowned looking towards the door as well. "I'd rather that than the more obvious option they seem to think I'm here for."

Duo looked at him eyeing him. He couldn't see the glint of the indigo eyes beneath the contacts but he was sure they were probably darker than usual, a sign that Duo wasn't happy with the situation. "He's not…doing anything to you is he?"

"No…he hasn't done anything yet." He frowned thinking about that yet word. How long before Treize really did do something? Or was everything Treize said and did just part of a game to make Wufei feel uncomfortable. Somehow he found he hated the second option more than the first. "If he does I'll be sure to sucker punch him to next week."

Duo laughed at that hiding it behind his hand. "Well just let me know if you need any help," he said moving smoothly back into his feminine voice. "I am here to serve our guest after all." He gave a small curtsey before he was moving walking back to the door and leaving Wufei behind. Wufei watched him leave, couldn't help the smile on his face. It was good to see that Duo was doing well. It brought his spirits up, especially the knowledge that he was not alone here in the palace. If anything did happen, they would back him up, he was sure of it.

He glanced at the food and sat down on the bed starting to eat. He might as well get his strength up. There was no telling if Treize was planning some tricks while they were here. Granted he'd been surprised that Treize had taken the care to cover him up. It really had him intrigued by the man's actions. After he finished eating he might take a walk around, maybe even join the older man as a form of gratitude, even if he trusted him as far as he could toss him.
