Author's comment: Sorry for the long update. It might start taking me every two weeks to update since I'm working four stories now. x.x And my allergies these past two weeks have been making it hard.
Extra Warning: This chapter does have some pretty implied gory moments towards the end...just for a heads up. ^^

Operation Blank Conspiracy 41
The plan was simple yet complex at the same time. It took a lot of convincing to get Trowa and Quatre to cooperate with it. Three of the five elitist would be sneaking aboard the White Fang fortress to search for Duo and Relena. Trowa and Heero were going as Treize's guards while Wufei would be his personal guard…as usual.
It also meant that while the other two were free to change in the more common locker room, Wufei was still stuck using Treize's room as his own. He stared into the foggy, bathroom mirror tugging his uniform in place before fixing the glasses on his face and brushing his long black hair out of his eyes. They weren't his reading glasses, but that was fine with him. Treize seemed to have taken a liking to them.
"Why do I even care what that man thinks?" he muttered to himself under his breath. It was weird to him that he was used to sharing a room with the older man…The 23 year old man…Serious how he was he 23?
Bracing himself with a sigh, he turned and unlocked the door opening it and stepping out into the main part of the bedroom. Treize apparently took it upon himself to want to take a nap, his body laid back on the bed as his eyes were closed, arms stretched out at his sides. And hell, how did he fall asleep so easily? The shower Wufei took shouldn't have been more than fifteen minutes at most. It just didn't warrant enough time for the man to nod off.
Frowning, Wufei moved his sock covered feet quietly over to the taller male. He leaned over looking down at the relaxed face and couldn't dismiss the softening of his own features at the sight. Strange that this sadist man could look so innocent while sleeping. He found his eyes sliding down to the lips that had violated him on a few occasions already before he blushed. Stupid man. It didn't stop him from leaning over more and reaching out tentatively touching his fingers against the pink lips feeling how soft they really were. How did he get his skin to be like this? Even his cheeks felt soft when Wufei slid his fingers over them.
"Gah!" He couldn't stop the sound from escaping his lips in surprised as Treize's hands suddenly reached up grabbing his arms and pulling him down on top of him. "Unhand me you-mmm!" He struggled for a moment feeling the lips against his before his body froze seeing the blue eyes open up staring up at him. He could see the amusement shining in them. His body went still feeling the tongue brushing against his lips more or less asking for entry.
He wasn't sure why he did it but he opened his mouth and felt the tongue rush inside sending a shiver down his body as his eyes closed. He couldn't push back the soft moan escaping from his tongue, couldn't stop reacting to the kiss as he started to respond brushing his tongue against Treize's. He barely registered one hand holding both his wrists as Treize's free hand went down cupping his butt giving it a light squeeze.
Wufei felt his body tense up as he registered the knock at the door. He looked down at Treize in shock getting only the smiling eyes in return before he forced himself out of the bed quickly and turned away rubbing the back of his hand over his mouth . It didn't stop his cheeks from growing red. He couldn't even get his mouth to open to yell at the man, not trusting his voice as he still felt the burns of Treize's touch on him. He barely even noticed that Treize went to the door and greeted his two colleagues in their OZ disguises. Toying with him…the man was toying with him!
"Come along, Jin," Treize said not sounding the least bit bothered by what happened. That jerk. Wufei turned around glaring and just hoping that the redness was gone from his face. He put as much dignity into his walk as he could as he marched over to the door glaring as he slipped past the man roughly pushing himself into the hallway. He was met with stares from his other team, Trowa's one visible eye watching him with interest. He didn't give him any answers, just sniffed at he looked away.
"Let's get this dumb thing started so I can get out of these clothes!"
"I don't mind helping you with that," Treize whispered in his ear as he passed him before starting off down the hallway leaving Wufei sputtering alone as the other two followed him. Muttering under his breath, Wufei pushed his glasses up on his face steeling his emotions as he started after the group, quickly catching up to walk beside Treize. He didn't dare glance at him, just keeping his eyes forward and ignoring the feeling that Treize was watching him out of amusement.
"Straight up ahead, gentlemen, is our goal," Treize said not even bothering to keep his voice down since this part of the hallway was empty. "There won't be any turning back once we're in enemy territory…so my question is. Are you ready for this?"
"There's no question about it," Heero said, blue eyes transfixed on the destination ahead of them. "We're going in and we're finding Relena and 02 no matter what." Wufei glanced at him frowning. He could tell calling Duo by his experimental name bothered him. It was just a number, a reminder of what happened to the braided boy. But it wasn't anything they could do about it, not with Treize still oblivious to the name itself. It was probably stupid since Treize wasn't their real enemy…especially since the real culprits probably already knew the name.
It made Wufei wonder just how much did they know? They knew about Duo's weakness and the fact that he'd been one of OZ's little toys. To know that much meant someone working there had to have been part of OZ sometime in the past. But who could that be? Who there had the knowledge to know what Duo was? Well they'd have plenty of time to find out.
Following Treize out to the shuttle he climbed in along with Heero and Treize, the four of them quiet. He sat beside Treize leaving Heero and Trowa to sit across from them. Trowa had his eyes closed, his arms folded as if he were asleep even though it wasn't the case. Heero was looking down at the floor, his eyes focused on something invisible to Wufei's eyes. But he didn't look at him long, his eyes glancing to the side at Treize beside him. He saw the other man grin down at him before he leaned his head back on the cushion and relaxed closing his eyes.
It'd probably be fifteen minutes before they reached the White Fang base…maybe longer depending on where they decided to hide themselves. They knew they were coming. It was part of the deal they made back at the signing to this plan of OZ taking the Gundanium alloy. He had plenty of time to think, tilting his head down to rest his chin on his chest as he closed his own eyes letting himself go into a meditative state. He'd be ready with operation retrieve the hostages once they got to White Fang. For now, he was going to rest up and prepare his mind would happen soon. He could only help that the two unharmed and well.
::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::
While his three comrades were busy with their mission, Quatre was on a mission of his own. He'd already headed back to HQ with the use of Heero's disappearance. He didn't give many details into it only stating that the other had escaped from the hospital and had probably assumed it to be enemy territory considering his circumstances. He couldn't explain how Heero was up and walking or even what Heero was playing as if he didn't know.
Right now it was his job to keep an eye on the colonels of HQ to make sure that nothing was going underfoot with underhanded plots. He was still finding it hard to believe what Heero and Wufei had told them, about how one of the colonels could be working with the enemy. But he couldn't completely dismiss the evidence that proved that something was amiss. However, finding the right evidence to prove it was going to be a challenge, especially since he didn't know who he could trust.
"Ah, Quatre, you're back." Quatre looked up giving a smile of greeting even as his heart thundered in his chest at the sight of the woman. Colonel Noin. Why was she greeting him already? He'd just gotten back. He hadn't even had a chance to establish a plan yet. Could she be one of them? One of the enemies? A spy?
"Colonel Noin." He saluted quickly as she came up to him before the young female smiled and shook her head at him.
"Please, I've told you. You don't have to be so formal with me all the time." He gave a slight nod, lowering his hand slowly as he looked up at her.
"Is…anything wrong?" He had to inquire.
She shook her head quickly. "Nothing. I just wanted to make sure you were ok." She smiled at him again before the two of them moved walking down the hallway together. People saluted her but it seemed almost unnoticed by her as she kept walking. "How are things for you?"
"Everything's fine," he said smiling up at her. "Have you heard about everything that happened?"
"You mean to Heero, Duo, and the queen?" She frowned slightly. "Yes…that is unfortunate. I had hoped everyone could make it out of this together." Quatre nodded his head to that. He thought suddenly of the image of Milliardo walking the halls of the Peacecraft manor and could only think of a ghost that was stuck forever in a vortex it couldn't escape from. With no one else seeing him he could only think that maybe he'd just imaged the whole thing. "Is Heero still missing?"
"Yes, as far as I know," Quatre said quietly, swallowing slightly as he thought. The one their group had the highest suspicions on was Colonel Noin. With her connections to the Peacecraft family, it was possible that she felt that Relena was in danger and so helped to arrange her kidnapping, especially since she'd been close to Milliardo Peacecraft and had felt most effected by his death. "Actually…I'd like to talk to you about something…in private."
The look on her face changed, moving from the soft, delicate one of a lady to a hardened leader's in an instance as she gave a brief nod. "Alright…follow me." He followed her taking the elevator up to the third floor before they exited and he followed her to her room. Naturally, it'd be the best place to go considering the privacy she earned here. Quatre followed along, remember the plan and working out just what to tell the woman. It was part of Heero's plan to see if she took the bait. "You're free to speak now," she said sitting at the table in the middle of the room and watching him follow her over to the small couch. "Is it something pertaining to the mission?"
"Actually…" Quatre took a sigh. "Yes. I think I might know where Heero went."
"…Wouldn't this be something we should tell Colonel Une since she is his leader?"
Quatre shook his head. "No…this is something he doesn't want everyone knowing about. But I felt like I needed to tell someone." He looked up at her pleadingly. "I can tell you, right?"
"Yes…anything. I'll do whatever it takes to help." She graced him with a smile again though with her professionalism it was hard to tell how sincere it was.
"Well…I know that Heero did runaway…I don't know how but it did happen. Heero's been known to get over a few broken bones but this seems a little extreme." He sat up leaning forward over the table to rest his hands on it looking down at them as he spread his fingers. "Either way, when he called me he mentioned a group called White Fang, the ones Wufei was investigating. I think he might be thinking that Duo and Relena might be held up there." He didn't let it be known that Trowa and the others were with him but gave just enough to hint that Heero might be heading there. She should still think that the other three were still down on Earth stuck inside Peacecraft manor. It was good of Pagan to agree in helping them in this, his worries of Relena superseding all else.
He waited for a reaction but Colonel Noin kept her face well-guarded. He hadn't expected her to show much but the mild surprise on her face that to him looked all too fake. But he couldn't believe it completely, not until he saw the results of what his words might cause.
"I see," she said before she gave a smile to him. "I hope that he can find what he's looking for there." Quatre didn't verbally say it but he thought the same thing. He hoped that Heero could find Relena and Duo…and he hoped that with this they could find their culprit, the team leak. In the meantime, he slipped a small listening device beneath the table as he used it to stand to his feet.
"I better get going," he said smiling at her. "I want to stop by the Acrobatics Training Room to let Catherine know that Trowa's ok." He hadn't had the chance to see the man before he left, but he just knew he'd be ok. Trowa was used to sneaking around unknown. There was no way he'd been found out so easily.
"Alright then." She stood as well. "Should I walk you to the door?"
"That won't be necessary," Quatre said giving his most kind look. "I'll see myself out. Good night, Colonel Noin."
"Alright." She frowned worriedly for a moment before she smiled at him. "Night, Quatre." Walking to the door he left, making sure not to seem like he was in a rush. He needed to give off the appearance of calm so as not to alert her to anything wrong. He'd be able to listen in on her conversation from his personal laptop. Once he was out of sight he started rushing to get to his room quickly. She'd probably start talking soon, if she was the one. She'd tell the enemies about Heero. But it's what the brunet had wanted. It'd also help to keep the focus off the others there.
Besides, they had a secret weapon, one that Quatre wasn't a hundred percent sure he really trusted. The Fly-Z. Since Heero was being injected with it, the effects seemed similar to Duo. Though he doubted it was anywhere near as strong as it could have been had it been exactly the same as the one put to use on Duo. Treize said it was still only just a prototype and didn't really know that it would really work until it had been used on Duo. Whether the things he'd told Wufei about earlier, about Duo dying without the use of the Fly-Z or not was true, was another thing all together. But then again, Quatre really only trusted Treize as far as he could throw him. As far as he was concerned, they were just two enemies with a common cause, to rescue Duo and the queen.
And for that, Quatre needed to follow his part as "spy" to check out his superiors…whether he liked the idea or not.
::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::
Duo was tired of being tossed back and forth between consciousness and dead space. He admitted to himself that he was really starting to lose it. The constant feeling of pain, something that seemed absent to him in the past, seemed ten times worse now that he could feel it. It brought back memories, painful memories of his past in the clutches of OZ. He remembered the experiments, those inhuman, horrendous experiments that had left him trembling in a corner many times as a child if he even had the strength to make it that far.
If Duo weren't suspended up in the middle of the room, he'd be hiding in one of those corners right now. During some part of the experiments, he'd been blindfolded left with only the senses of hearing and feeling to his already damaged mind. It wouldn't have seemed so bad if it'd been regular torture, things that normal humans could handle when trying to get them to give up all the information they knew about whatever head they worked for. He could have handled that, like the Chinese water torture or someone scratching nails on a chalkboard for hours.
The things done to him made his stomach turn just thinking about the feelings again. He'd been brought close to death so many times it wasn't funny. There were plenty of bodily fluids of various types on the ground beneath him, including the regurgitation of puke forced from his body.
And blood…there was lots of blood even on the walls around him. Puddles, splatters, just a mess of sickly red that gleamed enough to make a vampire's mouth water. Some blood still dripped out of his arms making a small dripping splash when it fell into the puddle below him. He could also feel it running down his nude leg. He didn't even care anymore that he'd been stripped naked for whomever or whatever was out there observing him.
The rubber bands that had kept his hair in place under the wig had been undone leaving only the chestnut trenches going down his back in matted blood. He swore the charred reminder of the blackened tattoo 02 on his back feel like it ached from the renewed memories. There were whip marks now going across the former scars that had yet to be healed until he could receive his next dose of Fly-Z. His lips were dry from the food and water he'd been denied during his captivity.
They were done toying with him for now, just leaving him with his shuttering breaths that hurt like hell from the previous examination he'd received. But at least those felt better compared to the sharp instruments that plagued his body earlier. But it'd only be a matter of time before things continued. He'd long since given up on trying to escape, could barely even think or even to respond whether he had the Fly-Z running through his system perfectly or not. They'd be back soon. They'd inject him with more of the Fly-Z, strengthen his body once more before subjecting him to the abuse he'd experience once more. How many days had passed? How long had he been captured here brutally picked apart by curious enemies?
He could barely remember how he got there or why he was there? Had he ever left? Was he still in OZ's base? If so, why wasn't 01 here with him? No wait…01 worked for OZ now right? Didn't he abandon him? Betrayed him? Was he really alone right now? If he just agreed to whatever their demands were for him, would they let him go? Did they ask him for anything? Did they even want anything? They never talked to him, just to each other like he wasn't a living being. Even 01 had at least humored him before completely disappearing from sight.
Despite his body's protest, Duo clenched up when he heard the door open up. He squeezed his trembling lips tight to try and deter the sound of whimpers from his lips. He couldn't even bring up the strength or willpower to struggling against the Gundanium made chains. For a moment, nothing moved before he felt the pick of a needle against his arm, the pain slowly starting to subside from his body as the drug flooded through his veins with familiarity.
"The test subject is still awake," said the voice of one of the testers. "Shall we start with the asphyxiation test?"
"No," another voice said into the loud speaker overhead. "Let's test out internal hemorrhage. I want to see how many blood vessels can pop before the subject starts to bleed out." Duo could feel the chill in his body as the blood drained from his face at the words. He wanted to fight it but he felt like he was already in shock. He couldn't move, could only breathe faster as the words replayed in his head. What were they going to do to him?
"…Are you sure that's a good idea? Doing something like that is known to kill someone off instantly in some case."
"It's dangerous to a normal human but not to a freak like him." But he sighed as if feeling the need to say something positive to his accomplice. "If you inject him fast enough before it happens, he should be safe. The subject would have to be completely dead for the Fly-Z's revival aspect not to work fully. After that, we'll try the newly developed venoms next."
Duo flinched feeling the hand touching him, already injecting something foreign into him that made his blood run heat up in an unpleasant way. His heart beat fast enough to feel like it was going to burst out of his chest. He could barely focus on the words of the two testers, couldn't even hear that they were talking at the sound of the extricating pain in his ears used to disable the effects of the Fly-Z. He could only think of one thing when it happened, the one faint moment of hope that could free him and destroy the damn bastards' plans. He wanted to die. Right now, he wished he could just kill over and die just so he wouldn't have to endure this kind of pain anymore. With the dull ache of pain coming from the side of his head as blood started to pool down from his ears, he wondered if maybe he would. Hell, it'd sure piss off the two bastards experimenting on him anyway.
TBC…
Goodness it was hard writing Duo through all of that. x.x And I haven't even described the worst of things that happened to him. Poor guy.
