No I did not make another update saying I wasn't abandoning the story, and then actually leave for another year… not this time at least, lol I won't do that anymore!

ahsokatano191- I'm glad you responded back, and that you're still willing to read this story! I'll try not to disappoint you :) Thank you very very much!

.5851- Yea, I'm so bad D: But I'm glad you're glad it hasn't ended lol Thank you very much for commenting! Thankfully I still have people who are reading this :)

Sarahbear00001- Thank you! I hope it goes well too and thank you for reading this story and commenting!

Lux's Sister- Thank you and you're very welcome. I'm so grateful for your comment and reads :)

Anakinahsoka- Hmmm. Never thought of that, but makes sense since she is half human after all. Actually she'd look cute with long hair! But no, probably not since I've already set the scene as her usual self, she's pretty either way :D And thank you! Glad you're reading this and for your comment! :)

So without further ado, I give to you Chapter 5!

This IS the turning point in the story I've been trying to figure out.

Edit: I keep looking it over and editing this chapter, but I'll probably take another look at it tomorrow and update it again.

Chapter 5- Trapped By the Darkside

Ahsoka's P.O.V.

48 hours… 48 hours I have not gone to sleep.

Sure that may be normal on the battle field, but not when you're in the Temple getting a break from the War! Maybe I should paste myself on this…

And as I'm leaning over the kitchen table filled with mixed books for my studies and past Jedi, I can feel my eyelids slowly start to shut.

"Ahsoka!"

I jump awake, startled by whoever called my name.

"Wha- what is it? What happened?" I ask the person who called me, wide awake now. I look up to see Anakin.

"Snips, what are you doing up so late? You need your sleep."

Late? But the last time I checked it was only noon and- oh… As I looked over at the kitchen clock I realize it's 3 in the morning.

"Don't worry Sky guy, I'm just trying to catch up on studies. I'll go to sleep soon." I say, waving him off so he can leave while simultaneously pushing a few non-related to study books, under my actual study books.

"Ahsoka I know you far too well. You're the last person in this temple who would stay up just to catch up on studies. You hate studying." He says as he's crossing his arms and giving me a stern look.

"Oh come on! Are you really saying you don't believe me? I'm actually… I'm actually quiet offended now sky guy." I say, putting my hand over my chest pretending to be offended. I'm really not offended at all, because everything he said was basically true…

But it didn't matter, since he still stares at me sternly.

"Master can you stop staring at me! Honest… I am studying, see?" I tell him, holding up a book on Nabooian culture hoping for Force sakes that he doesn't want to look at my other books.

He stares the book over, then the books on the table. I had put all of my study books on top of the other books I needed that may have some information on my Father, so I don't worry… much… until his eyes are still for a second staring at something.

I gulp.

"Now stop bossing me around and get some sleep yourself!" I quickly say.

He looks back at me curiously, "Okay Ahsoka… I can't believe it, but okay. Just put away the books and go to sleep soon, now is a time to get some rest. You won't get much of it out in the battle field, but you know that already so I shouldn't have to tell you." But he smiles, as he slightly scolds me. And I smile back.

"I'm heading out." He adds quickly but smoothly.

I was almost about to just say okay, but I back tracked "Wait again? What's so important, again, that you have to go out now?" I ask him, but I already know his response.

"Master stuff." He says. I frown, but don't question him any longer since he stopped questioning me.

But before he leaves, he smiles and rubs the top of my montral. "Sleep snips, I'll see you in the morning."

"Alright fine, you win. Night sky guy." I smile and start standing up to pretend like I'll start putting the books away and go to sleep.

"Night." And then he leaves.

I stand there for a few second… then immediately sit back down. Psh, I am not going to sleep anytime soon no matter which Master tells me so.

And about 2 hours later I'm still sitting at the table. But by this time it's 5 in the morning and I've gone through all of the books, front to back cover. Nothing. Not one single thing.

I look outside my window feeling Closter phobic, like I haven't been outside in ages.

Ugh! What if I… take a walk maybe? Yea, I need a break and a little fresh air will do me good. Then I'll take all of the books back to the library and keeps searching, or maybe just get an early breakfast. I'm sure my Master will understand if he gets back early.

I get up out of my chair, making sure I have my light saber with me and start heading out of our courters, down all the hallways and out the Temple doors. Luckily not running in to my Master, but maybe when he said he was going out he meant out of the Temple. Most likely I won't run in to him though.

The air is nice and cool, but the sun barley came up so it's a little dark out. I pass by venders shouting out to customers, people coming out of their homes for work, stores just opening and very few tired looking children following their mommies like little zombies. I have to laugh a little at this.

I continue walking, enjoying this peaceful break. Jedi don't get those that often.

Well it's peaceful as Coruscant can get. Soon it will be even louder than it is right now, the joys of living on this planet.

Although it's not really my planet, not my home that is. I travel all the time, so I'm used to it. Jedi have to be used to it…

"Excuse me." A feminine voice calls out to me. I turn around to see a human woman, who looks about in her twenties, black hair with a black silk head wrap covering her whole head down to her chest.

"Yes?" I reply warily. She seems harmless but… her force signature is strange. But I can't sense anything pass that.

"I need help. Judging by your light saber and robes, you're a Jedi correct?" She asks softly.

"Yes I'm a Jedi, what do you need help with?" I ask, knowing I can't simply just turn and walk away.

"I have a shop just down there. It opens in a half hour. These thugs… they'll be coming be coming pretty soon. And like every day, they'll take my money from yesterday's earnings. Please, please help me young Jedi." She says desperately, her voice as soft as the silk around her head.

"Why don't you just call the local authorities? That's what they're here for." I say.

"I can't." She says, looking around as if to make sure no one is listening. But the street is getting more crowded by the second. So she goes down another street, motioning for me to follow her.

"Come to my shop, and I'll tell you there." She says. I guess a Jedi's job is never done… So I follow, and she leads me all the way inside to her shop.

As we open the door a bell rings, signaling that we've come in. The shop is beautiful, filled with antiques and vintage furniture that you don't see around Coruscant.

I look back at the lady. She seems to be very plain and modest and looks about in her twenties, and with all of these antiques- she must be from another planet.

"These thugs are slippery. Every time I tell the police, they can never catch them, and they always find out who called them. They've hurt me before because of it. Please, please help me. I need my shop's earnings because my Husband is sick in the Hospital. He can't afford to lose any more money an-"

"It's alright, calm down… okay? I'll help you." I say, trying to calm her down as she starts to talk really fast with desperation and fear.

"Oh thank you! Thank you so much uh-" She cuts off, not knowing what to call me.

"Padawan Tano." I say to her.

"Thank you Padawan Tano… for everything." She says very kindly. Based on her story, this means a lot to her.

"It's no problem. I'll catch these guys, and then I'll put you and your shop under watchful eyes of our clone patrol." I smiled, putting my hand on her shoulder.

"You… You can do that? How?" She asked, looking surprised.

"I'm a Jedi and Commander of the 501st. They have to listen to me." I try to reassure her. Besides her force signature she doesn't seem harmful, and some can just hide their signature more than others without realizing it. But I just don't know…

She smiles "Thank you."

"I think it's best if I wait in the back for them to come. I'll call the clones to stand by; once they come in to the shop and I contact them with my communicator, the clones will come closer. I'll come out of the back and arrest them. If they run, then we'll catch them. Sound good?"

She smiles and nods her head.

She leads me to the back and offers me something to drink. I decline. So she leaves me and goes to stand at the counter in the front of the shop that will be opening in 25 minutes. They usually come 15 minutes before the shop opens. 10 more minutes

I contact Rex and the others so they'll be ready to surround the shop after they come in. Luckily they'll be here soon.

Ready and just waiting I take a look around the back. She has lots of boxes and other things waiting to be taken to the front and be sold. It's a vintage filled shop, as I see old hand crafted mirrors, clocks that wouldn't be seen around here in the light of day, vases with interesting designs. Everything is very old yet very beautiful. I've seen things like these before, but rarely on Coruscant.

And secretly, no matter how much I love our high-tech weapons and transports… I would love to live in a world that doesn't focus on making things easier… but on the beauty of the past.

But maybe I'm just missing Shili… and my Mother. She always loved antiques from different worlds, and my father would try and get her different antiques from planets he would travel to for missions.

But that's in that past.

I must have been thinking for the whole 10 minutes because then I hear the sound of a bell, pulling me from my thoughts. I wait and listen closely.

"Where is it?"

"Please, I need this money!"

"Give it now, and we won't make this any harder than it has to be." A male voice says menacingly. Well I don't need to wait here any longer then…

I step out. "I don't think you want to do that." I say, in my own menacingly way.

"Who are you?" The man says. He's tall with a chiseled face, Dark Brown hair and light brown eyes. Definitely in no way is this how I pictured him. He's not the usual scruffy looking thief. He has two other males on either side of him. On his right a man with silver hair and dark blue eyes, and one scar on his hand, much shorter than both of them. The other is the same height as the first man. Tall, short dirty blond hair, light blue eyes and one scar under his chin. They don't look like the street thief type… there's something off about them.

"I'm Ahsoka Tano, Jedi Padawan and Commander of the 501st. And you are under arrest for thief and-"

"Oh so the padawan is going to arrest me? I'm so scared…" He says, with a smile that's too big for this situation. I pull out my light saber.

"Cooperate now and I won't have to use force." I say.

"Oh come on Ahsoka, I thought you were smarter than this!" He exclaims his smile widening even more than I thought it could. He must be high on something if he thinks this is funny.

My communicator is instantly crushed on my wrist… but how-

My eyes widen in realization as I sense a twisting feeling coming from all of them now… the lady, the men, all except-

"Oh now it's clicked in your tiny Jedi mind. You should have listened to your little force…" He says, leaning back against the wall even though I'm threatening him with a light saber. This isn't good.

And of course, as I look over at the women, she takes off her silk head rap to reveal long dark black hair. She smiles evilly.

"What do you want?" I ask in a dark tone. I'm in no mood for playing games with them.

They've just ruined my Perfect. Beautiful. Day!

"Only one thing…" He says sincerely. His tone is creepily happy.

With all four of them surrounding me, he looks over at his men. The silver hair one is smiling just the same, but the dirty blond one doesn't seem in the mood for jokes either. As the whole time, he's just been darkly staring at me with a deep frown.

"And what is that?" I ask. What would they need from me of all people?

His smile turns darker, and he laughs like a mad man. It seems like his laugh goes on forever, but when he's done laughing, he says…

"You."

I laugh myself. "I don't think I can do that." I say, and it looks like they're annoyed with my laugh as well. "How about this? You all come with me peacefully. Then… you can all go to jail for less time. Deal?"

His smile comes back again though, and he slowly comes closer to me. I keep my lightsaber up.

"I don't think so. You see… you're the key to our key." He is half way to me.

"Key to our key? What does that even mean?" I ask. More worry filling me with each step he takes closer to me.

"Look. I don't know what your deal is but I'm just a Padawan, you won't get anything you want with me." I try to convince them. If they're all crazy enough to smile through this –not counting the dirty blonde- then they must have the upper hand in some way. I mean, if they're that cocky. Or you know… high is still an option too.

"Oh Ahsoka. Sweet… innocent… little Ahsoka." He says creepily. This is getting way too weird.

Master, where are you when I need you?

And when he finally stops, his neck is right next to my light saber.

"Ahsoka… you're much more important than you even realize. Don't put yourself to such a low level as a Jedi… you're Natha-"

"Jaster!" The women calls out, cutting him off.

He looks back at her, then back to me. He his smile still plastered on his face.

"Seems like you won't be finding out today then…" He walks backwards, finally away from me.

"Find out what! I am NOT in the mood for games, so you either tell me who you are or I will start slicing heads off!" I yell.

My heart beats fast, my breath is ragged. They're filled with the dark side, all of them. They're not like other Sith though, they're not normal. The room is filling with their dark presence; it's a choking feeling… They're powerful, and I need to get out of here befo-

"AH!" I yell for a millisecond. I bend down and grab a hold of my leg quickly. Pain. It's all I feel now, running up and down my legs, slowly moving to my arms, then my hands, chest, neck. Moving all the way to my head… how did I not sense it coming?

Pain. That's all I feel.

I look up, suddenly realizing I've fallen to the floor. Everything is blurry, but I see figures moving, surrounding me.

The last thing I feel is someone picking me up, voices all around me.

Then… Black.

Two days ago…

Barak's P.O.V.

As my men hurry around me, filled with anticipation and excitement, I can't help but wonder what the look on Nathaniel's face will be like once we show him his very… precious… item that we now have in our possession. Or will soon have…

Three days ago our spies found it, or rather- her.

Who knew her own Father, of all people, would leave her with the Jedi…

"Sir, we've contacted our group on Coruscant. They're awaiting and ready when you are. I'm ready to leave if you'll allow me." My second in command says, taking me out of my daydream.

"Excellent, prepare a cell for our little friend. And make sure they take every precaution handling her, she's more skilled then you realize, so don't mess this up." I tell Jaster.

Knowing Jaster full well, he replaces his serious face with a smirk. "Worry not Barak, we'll catch her. I had some of our best join the group on Coruscant and I myself am heading over there right now, we can handle her. And then… Nathaniel will have no choice but to give us the key."

Some would be mad at him for dropping his formal tone, but we've never been the formal type…

"I know you won't disappoint me Jaster. Stay safe my brother, and don't get caught." I say standing and gripping both his shoulders. We smile with a joy only brothers could share.

He bows respectfully and then walks out of the room.

Soon we'll have what we want. The key is our goal, our mission. It's been our mission for years, and now we're finally close to it. At least more close than we've been before.

Boom. The story has taken a turn. Finally right?
