Yami's POV
I took a deep breath. "I believe it is your move Pandora."
"It is indeed, I set one card face down and end my turn." I looked at my hand. "Okay…I set two cards face down and end my turn." I watched Pandora closely. "I activate my spell card Beckon to the darkness. Your magician is history!"
"Not if I let you! I activate mystical rift panel! Now that spell is going right back at you!" Pandora smirked. "You fell for my plan."
"What!?" Pandora started to laugh loudly. "HA HA HA HA! The arm was a decoy for this trap. NIGHT MARE CHAINS!" I watched as my Magician was bound in chains. "Now your monster can only watch helplessly as his owner is tortured. Oh did I mention that when you are attacked. A good amount of electricity will course through your body." My eyes grew large. "WHAT!?"
"DARK MAGICIAN! ATTACK YAMI DIRECTLY!" I was attacked and a shock of electricity hit me. "AHHHHHK!" the pain was unbearable.
Yami Yugi: 1500
Pandora: 1500
As soon as the pain subsided. My heart jumped to my throat as I watched that saw come closer to my legs. "Shit!" Pandora smirked as he saw that worried look in my eyes. "Worried Yami? Well you should be since this duel will end with your blood." I growled. "In your dreams Pandora. I summon Big Shield Guardna in defense mode." This will have to hold me till the next turn. Pandora just laughed at me. "You played a wall monster hoping to survive another turn…but you won't be so lucky Yami."
"What?"
"I summon Malic Doll of demise. Then I activate the spell card Ectoplasmer." I gasped. He can't…he can't plan on doing that to his monsters very soul. "HOW COULD YOU DO THAT TO YOUR MONSTERS! THEIR SOULS ARE NOT FOR YOU TO SACRIFICE!" I pleaded. "Good you know that you are going to die…don't try to beg. I sacrifice my Malic Doll of demise's soul to attack you regardless of your wall monster." His monster died and the soul of that monster struck me in the chest. "GGAHHH!"
Yami Yugi: 700
Pandora: 1500
I hunched over shaking. "Sh…shit…" I cringed. I was hurting and there was one more monsters ready to attack. The saw was really close to my legs, the wind created by it brushed my legs. I closed my eyes cursing under my breath. "One more hit and I'm dead…I'm sorry Yugi." Pandora smirked. "Yami…do you know why you are going to die? Because you are too soft. You coddle your monsters like they are people…but in actuality, they are nothing more than mindless cards." I glared and spat on the floor. "I at least have a heart, you bastard."
"Ha! Now my dark magician…give up your soul so that I can end this pitiful boy's life." I could tell that his monster was hesitant of that command. But he died and his soul was aimed towards me. But in the back…I could hear crying. His cards soul was hurt and crying. I closed my eyes. "Pandora…can't you hear your cards weep? CAN'T YOU HEAR THEM CRY!?" Pandora smirked. "You can't talk your way out of this Yami…NOW DIE!" I cringed, my eyes closed shut, not wanting to see the saw cut my legs, refusing to show the fear I had now. "Yugi…forgive me." Suddenly I felt a rush of warmth. Opening my eyes, I saw my Magician's soul standing in front of me. "My pharaoh…I cannot let you die…not now…not like this!" I heard a whisper, it wasn't Yugi but it was a voice that sounded so familiar…yet so strange. "NO DON'T!" the two souls collided, Destroying each other. I don't know why…but my heart felt heavy. I noticed that tears threatened to fall. I blinked them away. Why did you do it Magician? Why did you sacrifice yourself for me even when I said not to? I took a deep breath and looked back up. "PANDORA…IT'LL TAKE MORE THAN RUTHLESSNESS TO WIN BUT I PROMISE THAT I WILL BE RUTHLESS TO YOU!" I waited for Pandora to make his move. "I play one card face down and end my turn." Then he smirked. "Yami…I know you don't have another dark magician in your deck while I have two more…you are as good as dead."
"Pandora just keep your mouth, If you had the heart of a duelist, you would hear the crys of your fallen monster."
"Really? Because all I hear is the music of those saws waiting to chop you up." I drew my card and took a deep breath. "I summon Gazelle king of Mythical beasts in attack mode."
"You are so eager to die. I activate my trap card Devils scale." Shit! I knew what that will do to me. It gets rid of my monsters because he has no monsters. With that all my monsters were gone. "I guess my turn is done."
"Too bad Yami…and just after a summon too, Well sadly I will end your life with this card. I activate the spell card Dark Magic curtain to bring forth Dark magician."
Yami Yugi: 700
Pandora: 750
"HA HA HA HA! Yami you must admit…I have the best magician's deck because of how quick I can summon and cast spells. You never stood a chance. Now you will pay with your life." Then Pandora eyed my two face down cards. "No doubt those are monster killing cards. I will activate the card Anti-magic arrow." Both my cards were destroyed. "NOW ATTACK DARK MAGICIAN…KILL YAMI YUGI!"
"Ha…you don't get it do you." The Dark magic curtain appeared on my side of the field. "the spell can be used by me as well…so I will summon my own magician." Pandora glared. "But you don't even have another Magician."
"True but I never said that it was the same magician." Out of the curtains came my magician. "I summon DARK MAGICIAN GIRL!" Pandora glared. "She only has two thousand attack…she will die!" they clashed and the smoke filled the room. Who won? The smoke cleared and my Dark Magician girl still stands. "H…How is she alive?"
"Dark Magician girl gains five hundred points from every magician in the grave yard."
"But you only have one magician…she would have been dead." I shook my head. "I never said my grave yard…I said every magician in THE grave yard." Pandora eyes grew large in disbelief. "No…my magician helped her as well." I nodded. "Pandora…you lose…Dark magician girl…Attack!"
Yami Yugi: 350
Pandora: 0
The box below my feet opened and there was a key. I quickly got the shackles off. Then I looked up and noticed that Pandora had a key in his hands but was acting like he couldn't see it. "Yami let me take over quick!"
"Right!"
Yugi's POV
I quickly darted over to Pandora got him out of the saw's way. "No one should die for a game…that is just sick." Then Pandora had an odd voice. "Why would you do that? He lost…now he should die." I could feel Yami's hatred burn. "It's Marik…the owner of the last millennium item." I glared. "By the look in your eyes…the pharaoh just told you about me."
"Why do you want us dead? Yami couldn't have done anything to you…not if he died three thousand years ago."
"Ha ha ha….I have no concerns with you vessel…but My business with Yami is one of revenge. I am a tomb guardian…the guardian for Yami's tomb. Our duty was to protect the memories and the seven items until the pharaoh rises again." I frowned. "Then why are you mad at Yami?"
"Because you Yami has forced countless generations to suffer. Well I will end that curse not by welcoming his highness…but to kill him and take the title of Pharaoh from him for myself." I held on to the puzzle, I could feel Yami's heart beat and closed my eyes. If Yami didn't get his memories…he'll be stuck like this forever, in purgatory…there is nothing sadder than that. "I WON'T LET YOU KILL YAMI!"
"You are nothing more than a vessel…but whatever. It will take me a while to get to Domino city but there is one of the rare hunters who has one of the god cards. I'll let you have fun with him. Until then let me tie up loose ends here." Pandora pulled out a gun and with the pull of the trigger, shot himself dead. "AHK!" Yugi looked away from the horrible sighed. Yami gasped in shock. "…No…how could he do that to a person?" Yugi shook his head. "I…I don't know…but we can't just…" Yami took over. "Hold on…" Yami eyes gave a sad glow. He placed a hand to the puzzle and the other toward Pandora. "The gates to the afterlife has open." There was a bright light, then as fast as it happened Pandora was gone. "Yami how did you…"
"The puzzle opens the gates of the afterlife Yugi…I've done it many times but could never go through myself…but it was the least I could do for his soul. Hopefully he will no longer be tormented by the darkness in his heart." I nodded in argreement. "That was thoughtful you Yami." He gave a small smile. "let's get out of here."
