Yugi's POV
Yami and I were by the river that leads to the ocean. Yami seemed lost in thought. Was it because of this vengeance that Marik wanted against him? Yami…whatever reason Marik has for vengeance it isn't your fault."
"I know but…I can't help feeling that it is partially my fault."
"Yami we'll get your memories back. I promise." Yami stayed quiet. "Yami…when I solved the millennium puzzle, I made one wish…I wanted to be a true friend…and I wanted a friend."
"Yes…but where are you going with this Yugi?"
"Yami You helped me with my wish…so I want to help you with yours." Yami's ghostly face blushed. "Yugi…I wasn't the one who made your wish come true…that was all on you."
"I want to believe that…but you did help."
"Yugi…thank you."
Marik's POV
I got to Domino city ports. "Master Marik, Odion sends a message."
"What, give me the phone." I took the cell phone and talked to Odion. "Master Marik…I got the girl her four puzzle cards. What do you want me to do with her?"
"Bring her to the docks. She will help with my plan." I hung up and took my duel disk. "Now to start my plan." I took out my millennium Rod. "Silent doll the time has come. Go hunt down Yugi Motou and his spirit friend the Pharaoh."
Yami's POV
"I just don't get it. What did he mean by doll?" I asked out loud, Yugi shrugged. "I don't know…he said beware of a doll."
"I know but why…just why…" that was when I felt a dark presents watching. I took over and looked around. "Yugi…I think we are being watched." Just as I thought a man came over. He was bald with piercings all over his face. His eyes were hollow and dark. "We meet again pharaoh."
"Marik…I guess this is your doll right?"
"That's right Yami…and this doll has a God card." I frowned. Yugi looked worried. "Be carefull Yami…if he has a god card…He could really kill you." I took off my jacket and tossed it to the ground. "Then I will defeat God…"
"Just out of curiosity, why did you pick this man? He has seen better days." There was a dark chuckle. "Let me show you." The look in the man's eyes changed. It was bloodlust. He ran at me and threw me down to the ground. He was on top of me and tighten his grip on my throat. "Ghn! L…Let…go!"
"YAMI!" the man took out a knife, ready to kill me. I kneed him to get him off. "Ha ha ha…do you see the consequences." I glared as I got up and rubbed my neck. "I see…" I got ready to duel.
Yami Yugi: 4000
Marik's Doll: 4000
"You know Yami…when you lose, running will not save you. This doll will catch you and will make sure you suffer a slow painful death." I smirked. "You may catch me, but can you beat me." I let Marik go first. "I summon Humanoid slim in attack mode and then played a card face down." He is trying to lure me into attacking. "It's my move…" I couldn't attack but I'll play him trap for trap. "I play a card face down then summon Gazelle king of mythical beasts in attack mode. My turn is done." Marik's doll glared. "Being cautious aren't you. Or should I say cowardly." I stayed quiet. I wasn't going to let him bait me into attacking. "Fine stay quiet. I summon Worm Drake then activate polymerization to create Humanoid Drake." I gasped. Shit it was a strong monster off the bat but he can't attack me in this turn. Marik's doll smirked. "You think I can't attack on this turn but you are sadly mistaken." I glared at him. "What do you mean?"
"I activate my face down card. A spell card called quick attack." I glared. "So I was tricked into thinking that was a trap." The Doll smirked. "Unlike a coward like you who waits until you are sure you have the upper hand to strike…I am not fazed by a card. So I attack your gazelle!" I smirked. "Marik do you think I shy away from cards like that?"
"What so you mean?" I activated my face down. "I activate Defusion. Now your monster is split apart into the monsters they were."
"You knew I was going to fuse them didn't you." I nodded. "At the very beginning, Now Gazelle Attack humanoid slime!"
Yami Yugi: 4000
Marik's Doll: 3300
"Ha…this is really fun Yami. You are really making this a challenge for me." I frowned. "Marik You don't have the skills to knock my life points down."
"That was because I was testing the waters. Like throwing a stone to see the ripples."
"But that little stunt won't cause much of a ripple." Marik smirked. "if you look at a Duelist as a vessel and strategy as water the you are a duelist of depth." I just frowned. "It's my move. I summon Beta Warrior in attack mode then I attack with Gazelle"
Yami Yugi: 4000
Marik's doll: 3200
My turn was over. "I summon Revival Jam then I activate Jam breeding machine." I felt my chest tighten. I knew what he was trying to do. He was trying to summon his god card. I need to stop him before he summons his god. "I sacrifice my two monsters to summon Buster blader! Now I attack your revival jam! HAKAI-KEN ISSEN!" (AN1) Buster blader attacked the jam and I thought I had him. "Ha ha…You think you have me cornered." I watched as Revival Jam did as its name says and revived. "Pharaoh Yami you might as well have attacked water." I frowned. "Then I have wasted my turn." I ended my turn. I watched as that doll drew a card and the Jam breeding machine produced a jam. "Now I activate a spell card. NIGHT MARE STEEL CAGE!"
"NO!" I was trapped! I couldn't attack and Marik could summon his God card without any trouble from me!
