Jonouchi's POV
So I was looking around for anyone else to duel but everyone was a low level and I just wouldn't really feel good just beating up one the inexperienced duelists. So I just looked around with Anzu, Grandpa Motou, and Ryou. I wander if Yugi and Yami made it to the finals already? "Hey Jonouchi…I'm going to go walk around for a bit." Ryou gave me a heads up. "Oh sure." Ryou smiled and headed off. "Okay now to find an opponent." Anzu noticed the sign for a show. "Hey guys…doesn't this look like Mako?" I frowned. "Yea…but why would he be putting a show on?" We headed inside the aquarium and sure enough, there was Mako putting on a performance for the audience with Shamoo. "MAKO! WHAT THE HELL MAN!?" Mako looked over and smiled. "Jonouchi! Anzu! Good to see you again."
"You too but what the hell are you doing? You are still in the tournament right?"
"Of course but the show man here was sick so I took over for him." I nodded. "Okay…" Mako smirked. "But I think to really help this show out…I think we should duel." I smirked. "Now your talking Mako, and I'll bet two locator cards" We both got on the stone island in the center of the killer whale's tank.
Jonouchi: 4000
Mako tsunami: 4000
"Ha ha…ALRIGHT LETS GIVE THIS CROWD THE SHOW OF A LIFE TIME!" I did a little fancy drawing thing and drew my card. But I gasped, I forgot to take out that parasite card Haga snuck into my deck! Maybe I could use this to my advantage, so I was quickly reading it's effects. Mako gave a frown. "Jonouchi…we're waiting."
"Oh I set this monster face down in defense mode and end my turn." I frowned. Mako drew and summon his first monster. "I summon the Mighty flying fish and attack your face down!" I didn't even get to activate that parasite's effect. "Jonouchi…what the hell was that?"
"Mako it's a long story. I set another monster face down and end my turn."
"then I play a card face down and end my turn." I smirked. "Okay then I sacrifice my monster to summon Garoozis to the field."
"I activate my face down card, Torrential tribute! Now your monster is gone." I was in a pickle now.
Yami Bakura's POV
I sensed a dark presence nearby here. So I took over and looked around. I waited in an ally way. That was when I started to hear a motor. "What the…" a guy on a motorcycle came roaring through. "Who are you?!" the man took off his helmet revealing a light blond man with light purple eyes. I just smirked. "Why don't you just hand over your Millennium rod?" I showed my millennium ring. The man smirked. "And Why would you want this?"
"Lets just say I'm a collector of rare items and those items are on the top of my list."
"The name is Marik."
"Bakura." I smirked as Marik narrowed his eyes. "Well luckily for you I'm not really interested in the Millennium items but in the pharaoh's life. If you help me get rid of him, then I will give this to you."
"You are aware that I could try to take that from you by force right?"
"You could but I know were the other Millennium items are and if you wanted them then you would work with me." I thought about is. "You are right…but just for the time being."
Jonouchi's POV
"AHHK!" I was hit with a direct attack.
Jonouchi: 3200
Mako: 4000
"Jonouchi I have to say I am a little disappointed in you. I would have thought you would be more focused." I thought about this. "You know Mako your right I hadn't put my own heart into this…but the truth is that I am fighting for my sister and for a rival who is waiting for me." I summoned Alligator sword in attack mode and two cards face down. That ends my turn." Mako smirked. "I sacrifice my flying fish to summon Amphibian beast to the field and I attack."
"Sorry but I activate my trap card Fairy box. You'll have to guess where my monster is at." Mako glared. "Then I activate the field spell card Umi." That flooded the field and forced my monster out of that box. Mako declared an attack and I smiled. "Now I activate skull dice!" this lowered his Amphibian beast attack and destroyed him.
Jonouchi: 3200
Mako: 3300
Now was a good chance to attack Mako but I'm a little hesitance. I remember Yami's duel against Mako and I know to be worried about what is beneath the ocean surface. I drew polymerization. "I summon Baby dragon then fuse together baby dragon with Alligator sword together to summon Alligator sword dragon to the field. I end my turn." Mako smirked. "I summon a monsters and end my turn." I looked at the shadow that was staring me down. But since my monster was a flying beast, I was able to attack Mako directly.
Jonouchi: 3200
Mako: 1600
"I play a card face down and end my turn." I smirked. "I attack again." Then Mako glared. "You think I'd fall for that trick twice?"
"Hu!?"
"I activate the trap tornado wall." This stopped my attack. "then I sacrifice a monster to summon another." Mako gave me a dark smirk. "Now I'll reveal my monster. The legendary fisherman!" I gasped. "Mako that guy looks like you only older and creepier."
"Actually it was my father's card before…" I nodded. "I get it Mako… but I activate my spell card Energy drain." Mako smirked. "That won't work as long as the field is under the ocean." I glared and watched as my monster was turned into a shishkabab. "You know Mako…letting your monsters hide isn't really courage. I set a monster face down."
"That is nothing against my fisherman, He attacks!"
"Hey Mako…I respect you and all but I will be the one to go to the finals. I'll play another monster in defense." Mako nodded. "Okay Jonouchi…but I activate a ritual card to summon fortress Whale."
"HOLY SHIT! THAT THING IS HUGE!" I stared up at that behemoth. Mako attacked my face down monster with legendary fisherman and then he attacked me directly with Fortress Whale.
Jonouchi: 500
Mako: 1600
I frowned, if I didn't turned this game around I was not going to make it. But how…just then the whale splashed me and I realized, if the real whale was right there... then the other shadow was the fisherman! "I set two cards face down and summon Panther warrior to the field in attack mode. That ends my turn." Mako smirked. "Looks like I win. I attack."
"I activate my trap card Magic arm shield to use your legendary fisherman as a shield." Mako gasped. "NOO!" but it was too late. His monster was killed. Mako looked horrible. "Shit…"
Jonouchi: 500
Mako: 900
"Hey Mako…are you alright."
"Y…Yea…it's just that card is a personal card, since it's the only thing I have left from my father…it just hurts to see him destroyed." I nodded. "Hey cheer up man…look I know that card gives you courage but that isn't just the card…that is your father giving you courage." Mako smiled as he wiped away a few tears, "Right. I attack your monster with Fortress whale again."
"I activate kuni with chain next I attack and activate the card lighting blade which gives me just enough power to beat your whale!"
Jonouchi: 500
Mako: 150
I smiled. "Any last words?"
"Yes six, this duel is not over yet. I play return of the doom to bring back a monster." I frowned. If this was Fortress whale I was screwed. I activated my card Giant trunade, Revealing Legendary Fisherman. Mako looked down. "Go ahead." I took out Legendary fisherman and the rest of his life points.
Jonouchi: 500
Mako: 0
Mako gave a smile. "That was an excellent duel." He walked over to me and handed me two puzzle cards and two monster cards, Fortress whale and Legendary fisherman. "Mako…no I can't take that."
"Yes you can…I have a feeling that this will help you more than it can help me…but I swear if you damage it…" I smiled. "trust me Mako…I won't hurt it. Yami would have my head if I treated my cards like trash." Mako smiled. "that's good… hey I'll be cheering for you." I nodded. "Thank Mako…I won't let you down."
