Jonouchi's POV
Anzu, Grandpa, and I walked out and I smiled. "I can't believe it… I'm in the finals."
"SOMEONE HELP! THIS MAN IS HURT!" I looked up and gasped. "RYOU!" we ran up to him and the man who was calling for help. "Oh shit Ryou what happened to you?" Ryou's arm was bleeding badly. "it…hurts…" the man looked up with his light purple eyes. "I found him in an ally way." Grandpa Motou hailed a cab and took Ryou to the hospital. "Man thank you uh…" the man smiled. "the name is Namu." That was when we were attacked.
Yami's POV
It took us about thirty minutes before we got to an aquarium, I looked around and noticed a spot where there was blood. This made me worry. "I'm going to try to call Anzu." I told Kaiba. "Uhg…fine." Then I realized that I didn't have my cell phone. "Shit! I'll need to find a pay phone." Yugi hummed. "To bad those duel disks can't communicate with each other."
"Right." I found a pay phone and called Anzu's cell phone. "Hello! Anzu!?"
"Nope sorry Pharaoh ha ha ha ha!" I turned pale. "No…WHAT HAVE YOU DONE TO THEM!?" there where shouts on the other end. I caught a bit of Jonouchi's voice and another voice I didn't recognize, did I not only put my friends in trouble…but an innocent bystander as well?! "Didn't we tell you pharaoh? Your friends are now ours and you have to try to save them before their blood is on your hands." They hung up and this added fear into my heart. I slammed the phone and growled. "Shit…shit shit shit SHIT!" Kaiba walked up and crossed his arms. "I know that sound…we're too late aren't we." Kaiba frowned. "Let me message Mokuba, maybe he had better luck." I nodded. I was just too upset to talk. "Mokuba can you hear me?" There was silence. "Mokuba?" nothing. "We need to head toward Kaiba corp…something is wrong."
We ran down the street when we were stopped by a short Rare hunter. "ha ha ha going somewhere pharaoh? Kaiba?" Kaiba narrowed his eyes. "What did you do to Mokuba?"
"Why don't you ask him yourself?" a helicopter came in way to close and there in the helicopter was Mokuba. He was yelling but we couldn't hear him. I looked over at Kaiba and I could tell that they had hit a sensitive nerve. "If you want your brother back then meet us at the top of the building and duel us again. This goes for you too Pharaoh." The rare hunter hurried off and Kaiba growled. "Now our enemies are the same…but I'm in this to save Mokuba."
We made it to the top of the building that the Rare hunters were talking about. It was the two same ones from earlier. "You two just don't quit do you." I growled. "Oh contrary Pharaoh…this is the real battle. One where you two will die." Kaiba frowned. "Give us the rules and you better pray that I don't murder you myself for taking Mokuba, so tell me is he safe?"
"Of course he is Kaiba…but you won't see him in the afterlife." I frowned as I looked at the two rare hunters. "Give me your names and the rules." The short one smirked. "I am Umbra and my partner is Lumis. We are here to have a Tag duel…you see that we are standing on a glass sun roof of this building and at the corner of this roof are bombs and when the loser's life points reach zero…then he will fall to his death." I glared. "fine…then lets duel." Kaiba and I got ready for our tag duel.
Yami: 4000 Kaiba: 4000
Umbra: 4000 Lumis: 4000
"Let me start this duel. I set two cards face down and end my turn." I frowned at Lumis. "It's my move. I summon beta the magnet warrior to the field and end my turn." Hopefully I could pick up on their strategy and get Kaiba to work with me in defeating them. Umbra smirked. "Lumis partner you know what we could do?"
"I know. Go for it." Then Umbra played the card Shining abyss in defense mode. Then Lumis smirked, "I play the magic cards Mask of brutality to boost Shining abyss's attack points by a thousand if we give up a thousand of our life points to keep it up." This boosted their monster up. Then Umbra smirked. "Then I play my magic card Masked doll, that way we don't have to pay that price." They had a good strategy. "Kaiba…we need to play on each other's strength if we are to fight." Kaiba glared at me. "I don't work with people that well Yugi." I sighed. It was Kaiba's turn. "I summon Vorse raider in attack mode then set two cards face down and end my turn." I glared. What was he thinking?
Kaiba's POV
I was looking down at my hand and frowned. We all had our first turn and it was now time to see if our strategies are any good. Lumis smirked. "I play the card Mask of the Accursed, and I equip it to Yami's Beta the magnet warrior. This will keep your monster at bay and will inflict five hundred points of damage for each turn you take Yami." Yugi just glared and took damage to his life points.
Yami: 3500 Kaiba:4000
Lumis: 4000 Umbra: 4000
"Kaiba…we have to work together…"
"Shut up Yugi." Yugi frowned. "tch…" Yami drew a card and closed his eyes. He's thinking but what will he do? "It's my move…"
Yami: 3000 Kaiba:4000
Lumis: 4000: Umbra:4000
"I sacrifice…"
"Not so face Pharaoh…I activate the trap card, mask of Restrict. This prevents you and Kaiba from sacrificing any monsters to summon high level monsters this includes your god cards." Yami just glared. "I set one card face down and summon Kuriboh in defense mode." He then turn his glare towards me. "Kaiba listen to me for one second we can't win if we don't work together…"
"Yugi save that friendship crap for someone who cares." Yugi just narrowed his eyes. "Stubborn fool…" I rolled my eyes. It was Umbra's turn. He drew a card and smirked. "I set one card face down and attack Vorse Raider." I smirked. "I activate my trap Ring of Destruction!"
"Then I activate my card Curse transfer. Your trap will blow up on you Kaiba." Yugi frowned. "Kaiba!"
"Shut up Yugi!" the trap rebound at me.
Yami: 3000 Kaiba: 2100
Lumis: 4000 Umbra: 4000
"Kaiba this is their plan… They want us to fight amongst our…."
"Shit Yugi just stay out of it…"
"…" Umbra smirked. "Kaiba your finished, Shinning abyss will destroy you!" then Yugi snapped at me. "THIS IS MY FIGHT TOO! I ACTIVATE MULTIPLY!" Yugi's damn Kuribohs saved my life points. "YUGI WHAT THE HELL!? I COULD HAVE SAVED MYSELF!"
"Kaiba if you want to be able to see your brother again then we need to work together, besides if one of us is knocked out then the other will be taken down." I glared. "That's good if I don't have to deal with your nagging." Yugi frowned. "I saved your ass this time…but if you don't help me out as well…I won't save you again."
"Good!"
Anzu's POV
"Uhg… where am I?"
"Anzu ANZU!" I opened my eyes and was greeted by Mokuba's worried face. "Mokuba…where did you come from? And where are we?" Mokuba frowned. "A warehouse, I was kidnapped by those goon in purple capes."
"You mean…oh no! We have to get out and make sure they don't kill Yugi and Yami."
"What?! Why would they want to kill Yugi and Yami?" I looked down at the ground. "I'm not two sure…but we have to make sure Yami and Yugi don't get hurt." I looked around to see if we could escape. There was a small window…but I wouldn't fit. "Mokuba, that window over there, do you think you could fit through it?"
"yea."
"Okay then at least one of us can get out."
