Yami's POV

I agreed to Kaiba's plan. "I attack Des Guardius with my monster!" Des Guardius was destroyed but it left behind three masks. One attached itself to Valkyrion which let's Lumis control my monster. "HA HA HA! Your dead Pharaoh!" but then Umbra activated a spell called Masquerade and controlled my monster to attack me. I smirked. "I play de-fusion! That stops your attack." I glanced over at Kaiba. "Your move."

"With pleasure! I activate the card Soul Exchange, this allows me to use my opponent monsters to summon my god card! COME FORTH OBELISK!" the ground shook and there behind us was the God Obelisk. Kaiba had a smirk to match as well, "I attack Umbra with Obelisk! This is for taking my Brother!" the attack from Obelisk shook the ground and Umbra's life points hit zero. Then an explosion broke the glass underneath his feet. Lumis gasped. "UMBRA!" I ran up and looked down the hole where there was Umbra with a parachute, tangled up on a flag pole. I frowned. "Tch…predictable, you two hide parachutes in your robes just in case you did lose. I subject giving up now since it is two on one and we have a God card on the field." Kaiba frowned. "Yugi just let me destroy this guy! They both deserve it."

"Kaiba we have to keep a level head about this, he could give us information." Kaiba walked up and took the two locator cards from Lumis. "Okay now talk scumbag, where is my brother and his friends?" that was when Lumis went insane. "AHK NO NONONONONONONO! FORGIVE ME MASTER!" I narrowed my eyes. "Marik…"

"…Ha…Pharaoh…you are still alive even after that? You are stronger than I thought. And Kaiba…the fact that you have a God card as well…ha ha ha…I will enjoy taking that card from you." Kaiba frowned. "Yugi what the hell is wrong with this guy."

"He's controlled by Marik…this is the power of a millennium item."

"Not this bullshit again." That was when Lumis looked at me and smirked. "Yami…I've been going at you at the wrong angle. But now I have the perfect way to kill you." I frowned and felt my anger growing. "Marik…where are my friends? I SWEAR IF YOU HURT THEM I'LL…"

"You'll what? Don't worry your friends are in good hands…but they won't be on your side." I felt my heart jump to my throat. "You didn't…"

"I sure struck a nerve there. Ha ha ha…if you don't believe me then come and find your friends. We are just waiting patiently for your arrival." With that Lumis went limp and I was panting heavily. "Yugi…"

"IF YOU COMMAND ME TO DUEL YOU ONE MORE TIME I SWEAR…" Kaiba shook his head. "Look we'll find your friends. But here a locator card. Now we are qualified for the finals." I shook my head in frustration. "Kaiba how could I even think about the tournament!? My friends are kidnapped by a psychopath who is trying to kill me because of vengeance! How the fuck am I supposed to react to that!? Just tell me!" Kaiba was ready to argue with me but that was when a Helicopter appeared and there in it was Mokuba. "YAMI, NI-SAMA! COME ON! WE HAVE TO SAVE YOUR FRIENDS!" we got on the helicopter and flew off. Kaiba worked on the laptop and located Jonouchi's duel disk. "I got a hold of him…he's at the pier." I looked out the window. "Shit." Mokuba gave a sad look. "What is it Yami?"

"I feel like I'm the reason why everyone is getting hurt. I hate this…"

"How could you be the reason? It's not like you did this." I looked over to Mokuba and sighed. "I…I never really told you guys this." I looked at the puzzle. "Yami are you sure it's okay to say that you're a pharaoh?"

"If I don't talk about something…I'm going to go crazy."

"Alright…but just know Kaiba won't believe us."

"But Mokuba will." I looked at Mokuba. "I have a question and this pertains to what I said a little bit ago. What do you think I am? Another personality or something else?" Mokuba frowned. "well…I wouldn't really know what to say about that…I always assume that you were a different personality really." I nodded. "In a way I am but what I really am is a spirit…an ancient spirit from three thousand years ago." Mokuba's grew large. "really?"

"Mokuba don't listen to that bullshit." I glared at Kaiba. "You don't have to believe me Kaiba. But it is the truth." I then continued to talk to Mokuba. "Look I am a pharaoh from three thousand years ago and I sacrificed my soul to seal away a darkness that wiped away my memories and my name." Mokuba gave a sad look. "really? So no memories."

"No, none." I looked back outside, we were close to the pier now and I spotted Jonouchi. "There! Jonouchi is over there!" we landed and I quickly got out of the helicopter. "JONOUCHI JONOUCHI! YOU'RE OKAY!" I smiled as I hurried towards him but…the look in his eyes, they were cold and empty. I stopped and felt a deep fear in my heart. "Jonouchi?...what is wrong?" a dark smirked formed on Jonouchi's face. "Let's duel Pharaoh. That way I can have my vengeance, and get new rare hunters in the process." I shook my head in shock. "No…no no no, Jonouchi snap out of it!" I watched as Jonouchi walked over close to me. "Snap out of what? I'm just being me." I grabbed Jonouchi by the shoulders and shook him. "JONOUCHI THIS ISN'T YOU! YOU'RE MY BEST FRIEND NOT A MIND SLAVE TO MARIK!" Kaiba walked up behind me. "So Yugi…How are you going to save Jonouchi?"

"Hush…I'll find a way." I kept my eyes on Jonouchi. "Jonouchi, just here me out…you are a good man…a really good friend. Just fight against Marik's control. I know you…" that was when Jonouchi grabbed my chin and forced me to look into his eyes. "You can't save your friends Pharaoh…" He tighten his grip on my jaw which was starting to become painful. He then forced my face towards the pier. There strapped to a chair was Anzu. "ANZU!" I tried to pull away from Jonouchi's grip but I couldn't he threw me to the ground. "oof…" I sat up and Jonouchi pulled my puzzle by the chains. I heard someone talking but it wasn't Jonouchi…it was Anzu. "You can't escape this duel Pharaoh…if you try to then your friend will die." I pulled away from Jonouchi and glared. "Jonouchi…please don't force this on us." I followed him to the pier and I just looked over at him. "Jonouchi I beg of you…please don't make us duel like this. Remember that promise you made Jonouchi…when you become a true duelist that we will duel in battle city. Those word hit my heart and I want that duel as much as you do. But not like this!" Jonouchi laughed. "Your words are meaningless Pharaoh…now put on those shackles and lets get this death match started."
