I looked around for any way out of this situation. This duel has gone on long enough and I can't let anyone die. That would just look bad for the tournament. "Ni-sama…we have to stop this." I looked over at my brother and nodded. "I know…" then I looked over at the crate they had hanging over the traumatized Anzu. "And I think I know how."
Yugi's POV
"Are you ready to give up?"
"No…I'm not." I narrowed my eyes. "Fine then I play Fire ball." I braced myself for the impact and it took out more of my life points. "RAKK!" I collapsed to my knees, the chains of my puzzle were warm. "Ouch…" I got up and took a deep, shaky breath.
Yugi: 1000
Possessed Jonouchi: 2400
"Jonouchi…I…I know you are in there….I think Yami…could help you out." I started to make my way towards Jonouchi. "I summon Rocket warrior to the field."
"Wait Jonouchi…hold on…"
"Then I play Attrition, and with Rocket warrior on the field the enemy will lose five hundred attack points when Rocket warrior attacks." I cringed as Rocket warrior attacked in its invincible mode, and then when Attrition weakened Red eyes even more, I was in front of of Jonouchi. I could see the pain in Jonouchi's eyes. "Here…Jonouchi…I…I don't want Yami to drown as well…and if I had to pick anyone to hold on to my puzzle…it's you Jonouchi." Yami gave me an odd look. "Yugi…the water…it wouldn't…" then he went pale as I placed the puzzle around Jonouchi's neck, now I wasn't able to hear Yami. I could only see his phantom like form. I walked back to my duel spot. Jonouchi looked at the puzzle in shock. A pained look crossed his face as he took a piece of the puzzle and was ready to throw it into the ocean. But the look in his face was that of shame. "RAKKK!" Jonouchi doubled over and placed the puzzle piece back in place. "I…I…can't….not again." Good Marik was lose power again. "I summon Beta the Magnet warrior and end my turn." Jonouchi narrowed his eyes. "I summon panther warrior and I…Ahk…attack you're re….Beta warrior!"
"I use the trap card, Magic shield arm to redirect that attack to Rocket warrior. Next I sacrifice Beta the magnet warrior to summon Beast of Gilford and attack."
Yugi: 1000
Possesed Jonouchi: 1700
I took a deep breath. "Jonouchi try to remember please…Remember all the duels you went through in duelist Kingdom! Remember the promise you made for your sister! Remember your promise to me!"
"SHUT UP! I USE SKULL DICE TO LOWER YOUR DRAGON'S POINTS AND GRACEFUL DICE TO BOOST MY MONSTERS ATTACK!"
"RAK JONOUCHI SNAP OUT OF IT PLEASE! I ACTIVATE DESPELL!" The spell effected graceful dice and lowered down his monsters attack. He attacked and Panther warrior was destroyed.
Yugi: 1000
Possessed Jonouchi: 1100
Good maybe if I could get both of our life points to hit zero then we can escape. That was when a car horn rang through the air. I looked over and noticed the shocked look from the people in the car, My friends.
Honda's POV
As soon as we got to the piers, we were shocked to see the duel strait out of hell, and Yugi and Jonouchi were trapped in it.
Kaiba's POV
Time to try to get everyone to safety. I contacted my company. "This is Kaiba…send over a helicopter drone right now…aim for the crane."
"Yes Mr. Kaiba."
Yugi's POV
I looked up at the clock. It was only two minutes remaining. "Jonouchi! If you can hear me then fight! FIGHT MARIK'S CONTROL OVER YOU! I KNOW YOU CAN!" the pain in Jonouchi's face was obvious. Marik was quickly losing control. "RAHH! I CAN'T I CAN'T HURT MY BEST FRIEND! GET OUT OF MY HEAD NOW YOU BASTARD!" I smiled Jonouchi was so close to breaking free. "MARIK YOU MAY THINK YOU ARE STONG BUT YOU HIDE LIKE A COWARD AND DO YOU WANT TO KNOW WHO REALLY LOST THIS DUEL!? IT'S YOU!"
"AHHHHHK! I ACTIVATE THE SPELL CARD METOR OF DESTRUCTION!...NOOOO!" Jonouchi screamed then slumped down to his knees and looked up "Y…Yugi?" I smiled. Marik's last attack failed. "I activate Mystical rift panel." This caught the attack and gave me just enough time.
Kaiba's POV
I needed to act quickly, that was when the helicopter came flying low and into the crane. The Rare hunters gasped as the crane fell into the water. "Please don't let me draw a good card." I drew a card and frowned. "Damn…" I threw that card into the rare hunter who held my brother hostage, cutting into his hand. "OW SON OF A B***H!" then I knocked him out. "Are you okay Mokuba?"
"Yes Ni-sama." Just then there was an explosion.
Yami's POV
I watched in horror, I stood next to Jonouchi and listen to what Yugi had to say. "Jonouchi…we don't have much time but I need to get this off my chest before the end."
"Yugi…no you're not going to…please Yugi don't…." Jonouchi started to tear up and I felt my chest tighten up. Yugi was serious…he was really serious, he took off his duel disk. "It's okay Jonouchi…I always believe that you were fighting Marik too…and that our friendship defeated Marik. I wanted to protect our friendship with my own abilities. And I did…we both beat Marik." Yugi then started to tear up. "Jonouchi…because of you and other people, I am no longer alone…you gave me courage and more importantly…you guys are my closest friends and I will always love you." With that Yugi looked up at the attack. "The target I choose is myself."
"YUGI NO!"
"YUGI!" Jonouchi and I both screamed as Yugi was hit with the last attack, his life points hit zero. I looked up in panic. Ten seconds left. "No…nononono! Yugi you idiot I'm not letting you die here!" Jonouchi looked over at Red eyes Black Dragon. "RED EYES ATTACK ME NOW!" Jonouchi was attacked. "AHK…THANKS BUDDY!" I watched as Jonouchi threw down the puzzle and duel disk. He then grabbed the chains and swung across to grab Yugi's key and get him out of the shackles. "JONOUCHI THE TIM…" then the device exploded. "YUGI JONOUCHI NOOO!" I screamed and tried to jump into the water but the puzzle held me back and both Jonouchi and Yugi slipped through my hands. "No…nonono…." I collapsed to my knees. "What have I done." I looked over and noticed that Jonouchi had left his key. Looking around everyone was too far away, so I tried to get the key and just as I reached out, Yugi surfaced from the water. "YUGI!" Nobody could hear me and the puzzle held me back from pulling Yugi up. Mokuba jumped in and pulled Yugi up. "He's still breathing!" I sighed. "Yugi was safe but Jonouchi was still underwater." I looked over for the key only to see a girl with light brown hair grab the key and jumping into the water. "His sister!?" I waited and after a minute, Jonouchi broke the surface with his sister and Yugi regained his conscious. "J…Jonouchi?"
"Yugi! Please tell me you're okay." Yugi smiled as he helped Jonouchi up. "I'm fine…Jonouchi." Yugi gave a huge smile. I took a deep breath. "Thank goodness…" I then had a thought. What Yugi did was brave. He saved Jonouchi…with his kindness. I looked up at the sunset. "Yugi…someday you will have the power to surpass even me." Then I looked back at the warehouses and gasped. In the shadows, was Kisimra. "Kisimra?..." the look in her eyes was dark…menacing. I couldn't place it but it sent a sharp chill down my spine. "Yami…Yami are you okay?"
"Hu?" I looked over and Yugi had noticed that I looked freaked out. "Yugi..."
"Sorry if I scared you there…I know you said to not die."
"Actually Yugi…that was amazing…just next time you plan to throw your life on the line, give me a heads up okay." Yugi smiled. "Okay Yami…" I looked over back to where Kisimra was but she was no longer there. I frowned, I don't know why but the look in her eyes were very unnerving, as if it wasn't Kisimra at all.
