Kagome had a false alarm when she had that contraction two days earlier. She just hoped that her Sesshomaru would be there when it's time. She was also thankful that Inuhime stayed. She for some unknown reason calmed her and the unborn pup. It's like Sesshomaru's aura, yet not. It would soothe them. Inuhime must keep Kagome calm, especially, when a war was going on. It also doesn't helped that Sesshomaru had to go. No, she wasn't upset that he wasn't here or she wasn't there. It was just unfair to them. It was suppose to be a joyous occasion to bring a new life into the world. It was just like Naraku ruining their happy times together. She thought, "Naraku, if my brother hasn't killed you, yet. I will even if it would cost my life. However, my son is one of my reasons for living. Him and my family are my life. I can't... I won't let you win Naraku."

Suddenly, Jaken inside Kagome's chambers squaking his annoying voice, "Lady Inuhime, your son has returned."

"Where is he," Inuhime asked coldly. "Uh... he...he is in the foyer, milady."

Before she left, she hit Jaken on the back of his head, "Idiot, apologize to your Lady Kagome for barging in here WITHOUT consent."

Jaken realized what he did and went to grovel to Kagome for forgiveness. Inuhime always like to make Jaken squirm. Inuhime left Kagome's chambers and went to meet her son in the foyer. "Akihiko?"

Akihiko turned around and said, "Mother, Uncle requests you and Inuyasha to join the battle."

"It's gotten that bad?"

"Sort of, both sides are losing warriors."

"Sorry, son, I mustn't leave Kagome. However, I am certain that Inuyasha will love to join the battle." She called a servant over and told him to locate Inuyasha for him to join Inuhime in the foyer asap. Inuyasha came in running like a pup.

He said, "WooHoo! Finally, I am called to battle. I am going to kick Naraku's ass so hard that he will wish he'd never been resurrected."

Inuhime rolled her eyes. "Inuyasha, this isn't like your last battle with him. He'd gain so much power when he absorb mine to a point of death. Don't underestimate him or his puppet son."

Akihiko added, "She's right, Uncle. My 'father' is powerful. He'll use a lot more than just mind games. Also my 'brother' is a skilled fighter."

"Feh! I don't care how much powerful he is or how much power he's gained. He's going down!"

Meanwhile in Naraku's tent, he and Akuokaesu were discussing their latest battle plans.

"Akuokaesu, I want you to take down Sesshomaru and his allies."

"And pray tell, father, what will you be doing?"

"I am going to the West. That bitch Kagome and her friends are there. If Sesshomaru thought she'll be safe there, he has another thing coming."

"And you don't think that it's not heavily protected. Father..."

"You listen to me, whelp. I am more powerful now than I was before. It will be easy to take their defenses down."

Akuokaesu sighed there was no way of talking him out of the plan. "Alright, father, but I have a very bad feeling about all this. I really think we are making a mistake in going into war."

"Whelp! You listen to me. I don't care what you think. My revenge will be complete. I don't care how long it takes or how many will die. Sesshomaru, his mate, his family, his allies, and Kagome's friends will perish by the end of this war."

Back at the Western Palace, Inuyasha went to say goodbye to Kikyo and Kagome. They were in the Kagome's chambers.

Kikyo was in tears, "Inuyasha, must you go?" Inuyasha hated to see her cry, but he felt that it was the right thing to do.

"Yes, I must go and help them win this war."

Kagome added, "Inuyasha..." She paused. "Be careful and bring my Sesshomaru home."

"I will." He made a fake disgusted look. "Do I have to?"

Inuhime, Kikyo, and Kagome said in unison, "Yes!"

"Jeez, I will. Don't worry. I'll bring that cold bastard home for you."

Akihiko hugged his mother. "I..."

Inuhime looked at her son lovingly, "Shh, I know. Take care and get home. The both of you. Y'all should go before it gets dark."

Inuyasha and Akihiko nodded as they made their way out of Kagome's chambers and out of the palace.
