Hey guys whats up... getting ready for the next chapter. Have a bit of an issue I have to address to I did not ever say I was making it a harem story I only ever asked what my readers would like. You could have done one of two things instead of doing what every other piece of shit does, you could have actually read the whole authors note clearly, as I clearly stated that I wanted everyone else opinion on what they wanted... or you could have simply said that you didn't want a harem fic... either would have been more mature and less hurtful then your misinterpretation of what I stated. Secondly you have not once, mentioned that any of my characters are Mary Sues.

If you look it up Mary Sues are female character who are described as perfect, they outclass any other female character in the story and are usually self inserts. That is the basic definition.

I have never once stated that Nayumi was perfect, I never stated that she was all powerful and she has shown that she can make mistakes. Ex: she utilizes her bloodline to the point that she is put on bed rest. She tries to sneak attack Sakura only to receive the mother of all spinal taps, she has lost to Naruto not once but twice in training. She is a character who is definitely strong, but is not infallible and can be beaten with the right know how. And before anyone brings up how she fought off both Gai and Asuma, let me remind you that Tiajutsu is the only thing her Bloodline really nullifies, the reason why she had the upper hand is that Asuma couldn't use his Ninjutsu because it would have alerted the nearby town.

Alright... my little rant is over. , if you end up coming back to read this, then I hope you realize that you should read more carefully before making a fool of yourself as everyone else seems to have understood what I meant when I asked if my readers wanted a harem fic... if I appeared abrasive to anyone, I apologize, I kind of have a sore spot for people who just jump you and say guess what you suck! Bye! And they never once offered any criticism or even a hint that they had a problem to begin with.

Chapter 16

Nayumi stood watch over the field as Naruto meditated to try and center himself. They were moments away from the reverse summoning, they were both just waiting for the moment when the familiar tug would pull them back to Aski.

Right now it was just the waiting game.

Sadly for the young couple, patience wasn't either one's strongest attribute.

As Nayumi scanned the tree line for what had to be the hundredth time, she couldn't help but turn her eyes back to her friend, he sat quietly a few yards away, silently meditating.

She couldn't help but worry for him. She knew he was in turmoil right now, she could tell by how fidgety he was, that he couldn't concentrate.

Nayumi felt bad for her friend. She could tell how hurt he was over remembering how his friend had died. He still couldn't remember everything, a lot of it was quite fuzzy but it was all slowly coming back to him, and the more he remembered the more depressed he became. She wanted to do something or say something that would make him feel better.

After a few moments of thought she decided to speak.

"Hey..."

Naruto opened his eyes and glanced at her, she was a little taken aback by how tired he looked.

"Yeah?" He asked.

"How you holding up?" Nayumi asked, her voice laced with compassion.

"Not very good." Naruto replied, honestly.

"Anything I can do?" Nayumi inquired.

"Can you bring the dead back to life, or send me back in time?" Naruto asked.

"No." Nayumi replied.

"Then... not really." Naruto replied, sounding more then a little downcast.

"Yeah... I get how you feel." Nayumi stated.

"Do you?" Naruto asked, giving her a look.

"I guess not." Nayumi replied honestly as she sat next to him.

"It sucks Yumi. You wanna know how I feel? Well... I feel cheated... I feel lousy and wrong, like a piece of me that's been missing for so many years is finally back and yet... I... I just..." Naruto struggled to explain how he was feeling at the moment, he didn't know how to explain just what the hurricane of emotions he was feeling was.

"You feel like you got a piece of yourself back... but that piece no longer fits in your life?" Nayumi guessed.

"Yeah... No... I don't know... I've been without Ami for so long... just to have her thrown back into my life like this... it's so damn confusing!" Naruto replied with a hint of anger in his voice.

"I don't know what to feel... should I be pissed at the Leaf for what happened to her? Should I be angry at the Third Hokage for hiding her from me? Should I be grateful that he tried to protect me from all that sadness? And what about the Uchiha? They took me in... I remember that. Fugaku and Mikoto. Shisui, Sasuke, Itachi... Itachi... Itachi... he... he killed them." Naruto growled out but once he reached the end it looked almost like something had literally hit him, and hit him hard.

"Naruto...?" Nayumi said to him as a mixture of shock, anguish, rage, anger, sadness, and betrayal shot across his face.

"That bastard... The no good scumbag. That... FUCKING COCKSUCKER!" Naruto shouted as he shot to his feet and started pacing.

"That Fucker! He killed them... he killed them all... the only family I had." Naruto growled out as he looked out across the field with a pained look on his face.

"Hey... Naruto..." Nayumi whispered his name as she rose to her feet and slowly took a step towards him.

"How could he?" Naruto whispered. As another memory shot to the surface.

Flashback-

Naruto, Sasuke and Itachi sat out on the walkway around there house just looking out over the clan compound. Sasuke and Naruto were busy giving Itachi crap for blowing off training again.

"Come on big brother... you promised." Sasuke pouted.

"Yeah... big brother, you said you would take us to practice throwing shuriken." Naruto whined.

"Sorry you guys... I have a mission, that I need to take care of... maybe next time." Itachi replied giving them both a smile.

"Hmph... that's what you always say." Naruto whined, giving him an annoyed look.

"Yeah, he's right..." Sasuke agreed.

Itachi just smiled as the two gave him pouting looks, he just stared off enjoying the peaceful moment.

After a few second he noticed the two boys still glaring at him, and he just smiled wider. "You two do know I will always be there for you right?"

"Huh/What?" Sasuke and Naruto stated with confused looks.

"I'll always be there for you. Always. Even if you don't think highly of me at the time. I'll always be there, even if it's just as an obstacle for you to one day overcome." Itachi replied with a warm smile.

Both boys just gave him a curious look, as he smiled at both of them.

"Know that no matter what happens... you two will always have each other. You're brothers, after all. What greater bond is there then that?" Itachi stated as he stood and walked off, leaving the two boys with confused looks on their faces.

Flashback End-

"How could he?" Naruto asked again, as he fell to his knees.

"Why didn't I do anything?" Naruto asked as he felt a familiar power begin to crawl it's way to the surface.

"WHY DIDN'T I STOP YOU!" Naruto yelled out as he punched the ground.

"Naruto, what else do you remember?" Nayumi asked as she gently placed a hand on his shoulder.

Naruto felt her hand, and some of the tension slipped away... it took him a moment to process the question.

"After Ami died... Fugaku... and the rest of the Uchiha took me in. They made me part of their family, they raised me as one of their own... and that fucking bastard killed them." Naruto replied, at this point he was trying very hard to keep his anger under control.

"I'm sorry." Nayumi said in a small whisper, her eye falling to the ground. It wasn't going to be easy to help Naruto out of this.

"I swear Yumi... I'm gonna find that son of bitch... I'm gonna find him and tear his fucking heart out!" Naruto seethed.

"Itachi Uchiha is a monster. He deserves nothing but death. I'll help out, however I can." Nayumi informed him with a look of determination.

At hearing that, Naruto glanced over at her and gave her a hard look before nodding in acceptance.

The two stared at each other for a few minutes wondering what to say to the other.

"Look... Naruto... I know it's gonna be hard. Just know that I'm here for you, and I'm sure Darui sensei will be there for you, mom and dad too. I'm sure that it will be a long and difficult rode for you to heal, but just remember there are people who do love you, and who will help you along the way... you just have to let them." Nayumi told him with a shy smile, trying her best a reassure him.

"Thanks... Yumi." Naruto said with a smile, the first real one she had seen since they departed the Leaf.

Nayumi simply smiled at him, as another moment of silence passed.

"Kid... don't spend forever wallowing in pain and guilt. I've looked through you're memories... it'll be hard... but I know you can get through this." The Fox reassured him.

"Yeah... I you think so?" Naruto asked in reply.

"Ami... you're a lot like her... you took a lot of her mannerisms. Yes she may be dead... but she still lives on through you. Ami took you in. She helped us survive, when we were all alone. You carry on her legacy. She saved you... now you can save others, to honor her memory." The Fox told him in a sagely sounding tone.

"Yeah... I know... it's just hard." Naruto replied.

"And it will be Kit... but with the help of your friends. You will get through this. Also... don't forget you have a legitimate brother in Sasuke. You actually have family out there." The Fox added.

"Yeah... maybe me and Sasuke can help each other... I guess I'm not as alone as I thought I was."

"Plus don't forget that sex vixen in front of you... I think she just admitted to having a crush on you." The Fox added with a grin.

"Wait! Did she?" Naruto asked as he replayed the last thing she said. The Fox simply smiled at that, as he felt his host finally stop thinking about his tragic past, and think about something more 'fun'.

After a moment, Naruto adopted a shy grin, "Hey... what did you mean by love?" He asked.

"What?" Nayumi asked with a little confusion.

"You said that, there were people who loved me. Who would always be there for me... who did you mean by that?" Naruto asked with a slight blush.

"Um... well..." Nayumi started to reply as her face slightly reddened. After a moment her voice caught in her throat and she found herself unable to speak.

It took a moment, but Naruto finally decided to speak for her. He had something he had to get off his chest. She had just given him a glimmer of hope... maybe she liked him, like he liked her... if that was true then maybe it was time to take a chance and reveal his feeling for her.

"I don't really know what to make of it, and with everything that's been happening I don't know if it's real or not... but... I think I'm... well... what I'm trying to say is... I... I've known for a while that I loved you..." Naruto sputtered out, his face a deep red, the kind of red that would put a certain Hyuuga to shame.

Nayumi was also red faced, with this deer caught in the headlights look on her face, she simply nodded her head and mumbled out without thinking, "I love you too, Naruto."

Now it was Naruto's turn to look sheepish, he scratched his head, and fumbled with his words as he tried to get out what he was originally trying to say, "I... What I meant was that... I loved you like I would... a best friend..."

As soon as he said that he could almost visibly see the girl deflate in sadness.

"But... what I was trying to say... God why is this so hard..."

"It's because you don't talk to girls enough." The Fox replied with a snicker.

"Shut up!" Naruto growled internally as he took a deep breath and tried to find his words.

"Spit it out already! I didn't think it was possible for me to feel like I was aging!" The Fox shouted.

"What I was trying to say was... I've known for a while that I loved you... ya know like how someone would love a best friend or a sibling... ya know, all platonic and stuff... but I've always sorta... kinda... had a crush on you Yumi... and recently... I think I might be starting to fall in love with you." Naruto stated, his eyes planted firmly on the grass, his face a bold red, and the heat in his cheeks threatened to burn anything that touched them.

"I... think I'm falling in love with you too Naruto." Nayumi said with a shy smile.

"...uh... really?" Naruto asked with a surprised look.

"Yeah... I can't stop thinking about you, ya dolt." Nayumi muttered, as she struggled to make eye contact with him.

"Wow... you two were made for each other." Kyuubi laughed.

"Fuck off... this is a private moment..." Naruto growled in reply.

"You two are so adorable... I can't wait to tell the cat... she is going to be so excited to hear the two of you finally garnered up the courage to admit that you have feelings for each other." The Fox giggled out.

"Uh... can't you just go back to doing what ever the hell it was you were doing before you got involved" Naruto stated with annoyance.

"Hmm..." was that Foxes reply.

"Um... yeah... I've been thinking a lot about you too." Naruto said with a smile.

Nayumi stared at him, for a moment. She couldn't take this anymore, she didn't have the courage to do was the she really wanted to do, which was kiss the dummy, so she immediately did the next thing that came to mind, which was tease him.

"I know what you've been thinking about... you perv." Nayumi accused with a smirk.

"Hey... no I haven't thought about that day at all!" Naruto shouted in reply, as he held up his hands in surrender.

"Oh... really?" Nayumi stated sounding a little disheartened, as her arms tentatively wrapped around her waist.

"Uh... no wait I didn't mean it like that! I didn't mean you aren't beautiful enough to think about like that... or that I think you're ugly or anything... it's really the opposite, it's hard not to think about that day... I mean... I wasn't lying when I said you were the prettiest girl I saw that day." Naruto tried to backpedal.

Nayumi simply smirked triumphantly at his embarrassment, as she crossed her arms over her chest, "So you do think about me naked. I knew it."

"Ah... no wait... ah... a... Hey! You tricked me!" Naruto accused as he pointed at her.

"A ninja's job is to gather Intel... now I know not only that you love me... but that you think I'm sexy." Nayumi said with a victorious grin... knowing she had outwitted her husband.

Naruto stared at her... a look of indignation on his face, accompanied by a deep blush for having revealed just how felt about her.

Hey kid! Want me to tell you how to turn the tide?" The Fox asked.

"Please!" Naruto begged.

"Alright just do exactly as I say..." The Fox began as it told it him what to do.

Naruto looked up from the ground, took a deep breath, and walked towards the grinning Nayumi. She adopted a puzzled look as he approached her.

He stopped no more then a few inches away, as he reached out and placed hand on her hip, Nayumi's face lit up with surprise as his other hand gently cupped her cheek as he pulled her close to him.

She felt there bodies press up against each other, she felt her heart rate quicken as he gently caressed her cheek.

Her mind was jumping between the seductive look he was giving her, to the hand gently caressing cheek, to the hand placed ever so gently on her hips.

"I guess you know the truth now." Naruto said, a small smile present on his face.

Nayumi found herself blushing madly as she looked into his face, she had quickly lost control of this situation.

"You know how much I care." Naruto stated as he inched his face closer to her.

"You know how pretty I think you are." Naruto added as he got closer. Nayumi found herself unable to move.

"You know how beautiful I think you are." Naruto continued as he inched ever closer.

"You know how, sexy I think you are." Naruto whispered. He and Nayumi's face were mere centimeters apart now, they could literally taste the other's breath, they were so close.

"I love you... Nayumi... Hiyoto..." Naruto said in an almost inaudible whispers as he gently pressed his lips to hers.

Nayumi was in heaven. 'Her first kiss!' She thought. This wasn't like their previous kiss, which was sloppy, and forced, and it was mostly to protect Naruto. No... this was her first true kiss. It was gentle, it was passionate, it was tender and loving, and Nayumi felt her insides flutter in untold joy.

She knew, given her lithe figure, and how closely there bodies were pressed to each other, that he could feel the rapid fluttering of her heart.

It didn't matter... she liked Naruto. And she sure as shit was going to be shy about letting him know it.

She lovingly kissed his back.

"Ha... told you... now she's eating out of your hand... DAMN I'M GOOD!" The Fox cheered, much to it's host's annoyance.

The kiss continued, neither wanting to pull away. Naruto now had both hands gently holding her neck, while both of Nayumi's hand were holding onto the front of Naruto's coat.

Suddenly there was a rush... and a loud poofing sound. Still trapped in loving bliss all either could do was open their eyes, their lips still locked. They just looked into each others eyes, before pulling away in unison. They continued to stared at each other for a moment before they heard someone clear their throat off to the side.

The two glanced at the noise quickly realizing that they weren't in the field anymore... in fact they were in the familiar hall of the Hiyoto castle.

They saw kneeling around them were roughly seven Kumo ninja, and off to the side, (the sound of the throat clearing) was Daso, Ayane, and A, all of whom were sporting wide grins.

"Well... I'm glad you two are getting along," Daso said with a giggle.

Nayumi and Naruto both stared at him, and the others then they shared a look. After a moment and irritated look appeared on Nayumi's face, while Naruto simply smiled and pulled Nayumi into a hug.

"Fuck my life." Naruto heard Nayumi mutter. Naruto simply let out a laugh. Suddenly feeling lodes better then he earlier. Maybe he wound feel better after a while... maybe all he had to do was trust in his friends... and he would find a way to heal.

-Konoha, Hokage Tower-

Tsunade, Jiraiya, the Anbu First captain and the Frog masked Anbu all stood alone in the office.

They had been standing in silence for about five minutes.

The Frog masked Anbu looked nervous, he seemed fidgety. Which put Tsunade on edge since she recognized all of her Anbu and this guy wasn't one of them.

After a few moments the Frog masked Anbu cleared his throat and spoke, "It's been a long time captain."

"Indeed is has. I had thought after so long without hearing from you, that you had perished." The First captain replied.

"Sorry about that. You'd be surprised how big this world really is... it's easy to get lost I'm afraid." Frog responded with a sigh.

"Do you know this man, captain?" Tsunade asked, eying the Frog Anbu intently.

"Yes... we all do." The Captain replied.

"You sound a little upset captain." Frog commented.

"When the fourth Hokage died... we thought you would come back. We tried to get into contact with you, but we couldn't. Our messages fell on deaf ears." The Captain replied.

"I know... I heard about the Nine Tails..." Frog said with a bit of shame.

"Yeah... about that... explain to me how in the fuck that happened?" The First captain stated, with stern conviction.

"To be honest... I have no clue." Frog answered with a scratch of his head.

"Captain... who the hell is this man?" Tsunade asked.

"A ghost." The Captain said as he stepped towards Frog.

"Do you realize how longs the Fourth has been dead?" The First captain asked.

"I've heard word. I've been in the village for about a week now. I swear captain that I had no idea. If I had known... I would have come back." Frog stated.

"How the fuck far away did you get, to not be able to be reached by us or messenger toad?" The captain asked.

As he said that Jiraiya's eyes widened in disbelief.

"No... I can't believe it." Jiraiya stated.

"You know him too?" Tsunade asked, starting to get frustrated.

"I sense... that I'm in trouble." Frog said as he scratched his head.

"You bastard! Do you realize how long I've spent looking for you? I searched every square inch of the Five great nations for your ass... Seventeen years... you little shit! Seventeen years, I've been trying to find you. Do you even realize what happened here all those years ago?" Jiraiya shouted at the frog masked Anbu.

"Yes... somehow a portion of the nine Tails went into Kushina's clone. I'm sorry master... if I had known I would have remained behind to take it out... or seal it more effectively." Frog stated.

"Yeah... well... did you also know that your little clones could have babies!" Jiraiya shouted at him.

"What?" Frog replied.

"Wait... Kushina? ...What does..." Tsunade stated in confusion, though she stopped as the Frog masked Anbu pulled his hood down, revealing a thick main of blonde hair.

"That's impossible..." Tsunade whispered in shock.

"Yeah... Minato... Those fucking True Clones could procreate. You had a fucking son here... you jackass." Jiraiya shouted at his student.

A moment passed as the now revealed Fourth Hokage pulled of his mask.

"I can't believe this. How are you alive?" Tsunade asked.

"I never died." Minato replied with a guilty look.

"What do you mean?" Tsunade bellowed, still in shock.

"After the war... the Third approached me with the job for Hokage. At the time I was still you... I would have been the youngest Hokage ever. I wanted the job... I really did, but at the same time, with the war over I wanted to go out and explore the lands. It was always my dream to travel like master Jiraiya does. To wonder the world and see all the amazing things out there." Minato began to explain.

"So... what...?" Tsunade asked eying the dead man, intently.

"I tried to convince the Third to hold onto the title for a few years... so that I could get my adventurous drives out of the way... of course he was reluctant. He wanted to step down, and retire. But I wasn't truly willing to give up my dream just yet. I wanted to travel... to see the world. So Kushina, Hiruzen and I came up with a plan. Kushina and I created a technique called the True Clone Jutsu, essentially what it did was utilizes, Yin-Yang release, along with some powerful seals, to create a real physical clone. One that you could still control... yet it had blood and tissue. I figured with that technique, and as long as Hiruzen stayed close by... I could leave the clone to act as Hokage while Kushina and I traveled. Jiraiya, Hiruzen, and the first captain were the only one aware of this. It was top secret... and yet, no matter how far away I got, I could always us the flying Raishin to get back here in an instant. It was win, win. Sadly, though... it seems there were a few unforeseen circumstances." Minato explained in dept.

"Oh really! You think! What were some of those circumstances? Oh let me guess... these clones could have babies, or and the Kushina clone, just so happened to get a big enough piece of the Nine Tails, to level the fucking village!" Tsunade hissed in anger.

"True... though there were a few other problems. The clones couldn't activate Seals on themselves. It had something to do with the balance of Yin and Yang, within the Clones that the seals didn't recognize so they couldn't utilizes seals that required our Chakra." Minato added.

"I can't believe this. Where in the fuck were you, that the Toads couldn't find you?" Tsunade bellowed.

"Well... you see when I made the clone...he kinda took control of the contract from me. So whenever they tried to locate 'me', they would only get my clone." Minato explained, with sigh.

"I can't fucking believe this. Do you realize how badly you've fucked up?" Tsunade growled out.

"I realize things are bad. I have a son that grew up without parents, and the partial Nine Tails attack. Please... do you know where the boy is?" Minato asked.

"'HE' is a fucking Kumo ninja now. Because 'This' Fucking village treated him like horse shit, and the fucking Nine Tails, managed to convince him that anywhere is better then here." Jiraiya informed his student with a sigh.

"Interrupting for a second. Jiraiya! Why in the fuck didn't you ever mention this fucker was still alive?" Tsunade asked.

"With his clone being the one to hold the summoning contract, and the fact that I couldn't get a message to him... we believed he was dead. I still held out hope... but Hiruzen had officially declared the real Minato, and Kushina dead, after three years of searching." Jiraiya replied.

"Huh... You came here for a reason Minato... why are you here?" Tsunade asked.

"Someone broke into my house. I just got back a week ago. I found everything my clone had left, and my family started to move in. I was going to tell you I was back after I got the lay of the land. I wanted to know how much trouble I would be in first... before coming to see you, my lady. But then... Kushina called me today and told me, we were robbed. My jutsu library, my armory, hell even my lab notes... were gone." Minato informed her with a worried look.

"Son of a bitch... That clever little bastard.

"Naruto." Tsunade, Jiraiya, and the First captain said in unison.

'Son of a bitch... this is going to be back... I just know it.' Tsunade thought as she bit her thumbnail. The hokage knew that somehow this would come back to bite them.
