At the Western Estate, Naraku and his army broke through the defense line and charged through the palace gate. Naraku, then fought his way to the throne room, where Kagome was waiting. Kagome were wearing a full war regalia. It was similar to a samurai's suit of armor. It looks similar to what Midoriko wore during her battles with evil demons.

Kagome had her back to Naraku. She knew that he was coming because she could feel his malicious aura. "What took you so long, Naraku? I'd been waiting in here for what seems like forever."

Naraku narrowed his eyes, "You are foolish to believe that you could defeat me on your own. Whereas, you had your friends protecting you before. Where are they, Kagome? Dead, perhaps?"

Kagome looked over her shoulder and glared at him, "Why would you care where my friends are? As for them being dead, I know they are alive and fighting as we speak. Your mind games will not work on me, Naraku." She turned around and looked at him with extreme malice.

Naraku said, "It seems that Sesshomaru trained you to use a sword, however, it would take more than that to defeat me!"

After he said those words, he, immediately, charged at her and used his tentacle to attack her with. Kagome, however, blocked his tentacle as he used another one to strike her with, but she blocked the other, as well. "I am not like I used to be, Naraku."

He snarled as he used many more tentacles to fight her with. She dodged and blocked them all. Kagome found an opening and charged her katana with reiki and stabbed Naraku in the stomach. Naraku roared in pain and yelled, "You'll pay for that, bitch!"

Meanwhile, at the battleground near the southern and western borderlines, Miroku just finished his purifying some opposing demons. He could feel Sesshomaru huge demonic aura. He thought, "This is strange. Lord Sessshomaru seems to be... struggling." He ran towards to his lord's aura. Whenever he got there, he had to do a double take, because he'd just seemed to be pinned into a trunk of a tree.

"My lord, are you in need some...help," he asked hesitantly. To Miroku's surprise, he answered positively. When Miroku carefully approached the demon lord, Sesshomaru said quite frustratingly, "Monk, this Sesshomaru won't hurt you. JUST. GET. ME. DOWN. FROM. HERE!"

Miroku then quickly closed the gap between them. He couldn't understand why his lordship couldn't get free himself on his own. Instead of asking him why he couldn't free himself, he stretched his hand to the blade and felt... "A barrier," he thought. He said out loud, "I see." Sesshomaru raised a questioning brow, but Miroku didn't say anything. However, Sesshomaru seemed to understand.

Miroku put his hand on the blade, after he put his outer robe around the blade to prevent him from getting injured. He thought, "The barrier must only affect demons or at least ONLY Lord Sesshomaru." He then pull the blade with all of his might. He even put a leg up for leverage and then both legs, but the blade won't budge. Not even a little. Miroku gave a nervous laugh, "It seems your opponent really drove the blade in there, my lord. I... uh... go it help. Don't move. I mean, of course, you can't move." Sesshomaru gave him a look that says something similar to, 'duh, how can I move, idiot? I am pinned to a tree.' Miroku continued, "I.. uh... just get some help." He turned and quickly left. Sesshomaru sighed in frustration.

Somewhere around the battleground, Akuokaesu located his 'little brother'. He seemed to be a little impressed with Akihiko's fighting abilities.

When Akihiko stabbed by opponent in the chest and pulled his katana out, he heard his 'big brother' clapping. "Bravo! Bravo! Nicely done, little brother." Akihiko turned to over his shoulder, "Oh?" He turned around and wrapped the blood of his opponent on his hakama. Akuokaesu then said, "Lets see how you fair against a stronger opponent. I am in a generous mood, that I will give you a warning."

"You're not one to be generous, Akuokaesu, and you never were!"

"Perhaps, however, I feel that I must."

He paused for a moment. "This is a battle to the death, Akihiko."

Akihiko snorted, "Of course, it is, baka! You think I was born yesterday or something!" He instantly got in his battle stance. "You were only a clone of myself, Akuokaesu! So, prepare to die!"

Akuokaesu chuckled, "Yes, I am only a clone, however, I am much better than you. It is you should be prepare to die!"

Afterwards they both gave their battle cry and charged against each other.

At the Western Palace, Kagome had been fighting against Naraku for a while now, dodging his tentacles from left and right. Naraku also took those opportunities to wound Kagome. He enjoyed wounding his prey, like the sadistic bastard that he was. The sound of her screams excited him so much so that he planned to kill her painfully slow.

Then Naraku just stopped attacking Kagome with his tentacles, suddenly wrapped one of them around Kagome's body and squeezed her. Kagome was screaming at the top of her lungs so much so that all her limbs went limp and her screaming voice went silent.

Miroku found the Great Dog General and Inuyasha, who just finished killing Takemaru by ripping his heart out of his chest. He could see the conflict into his friend's eyes as his father had seen the same. Miroku decided to reveal himself.

"My lord, InuTaisho? Inuyasha?"

Inuyasha and his father turned to see Miroku. "Yes, monk, what is it?"

"It's Lord Sesshomaru. He... um... maybe you should come and see for yourselves."

InuTaisho and Inuyasha looked at each other and Inuyasha said, "Well, what are we waiting for?"

Once they arrived where Sesshomaru was pinned to a tree, Inuyasha couldn't help, but to laugh. "So, the Ice bastard is stuck in the tree!"
InuTaisho, Miroku, and especially Sesshomaru didn't find this situation amusing. Miroku hit Inuyasha's head with his shakujou. Inuyasha yelled, "What the fuck was that for, Miroku?!"

"Inuyasha, I don't find this situation as amusing as you do. It wasn't funny when you were pinned to the Sacred Tree, now was it?" Inuyasha didn't answer him, instead, he looked away him. Miroku continued, "I thought so. Lets get Lord Sesshomaru down from there." Both father and son nodded, "I must warn you, there seems to be a barrier on the blade. I tried to pull it out, but unfortunately, I couldn't because the blade is really deep in the tree's trunk."

InuTaisho reached for the blade, but the barrier burned his hand. Then Inuyasha tried, but no avail. Inuyasha yelled, "Great! How are we going to get the bastard down, if we couldn't even touch the damn blade!"

Sesshomaru was getting impatient. The more time he's here, the more he needed to be near Kagome. "Father, There's something in my sleeve, that Inuki put there before we left. She warned me that this could happen. So, she gave me something that could negate the barrier's powers."

InuTaisho raised his son's sleeve and found a cloth that's been blessed by his daughter's reiki. He trusted his daughter's powers wouldn't bring harm to him. He didn't even hesitated getting the blessed cloth. He was shocked, yet not due to his sacred lineage, that it didn't burn him. Not even a tingle.

He smirked, "Leave it to your sister to be a step ahead." He put the cloth around the blade and pulled on the sword and it just came out, like it was nothing. Sesshomaru smirked when there was no reaction that came from the blade. Once he was down the tree, he rotated his shoulder that the blade was in. The wound was healed instantly. He located Akuokaesu easily. He hid his aura and scent as he sped to where Akuokaesu and Akihiko were. Once he arrived, he was impressed by his nephew's fighting abilities, however, being so young, he couldn't hold out as long as Sesshomaru or his mother could in a fight. He saw bruises and wounds all over his body.

Akihiko started shaking. He could feel his body weakening. He hope that he could hold out until someone came for him. He could not help, but to call to his mother, telepathically. "Mother, I love you." He fell to his knees.

"So, little brother. I know you are weakening. I could tell by your body's reaction. Submit to me and I will let you live."

"I would rather die than submitting myself to you."

Akuokaesu narrowed his eyes, "As you wish."

Akihiko ready himself to die. "So, this is it, then," he thought. He was waiting for it, but it never came. He lifted his head. His eyes widen when he saw...

"Uncle Sesshomaru!"

Sesshomaru heard him, but didn't acknowledge him. He hold Akuokaesu, who was shocked, but then snarled, back with his Bakusaiga.

Suddenly Inuyasha appeared and yelled, "Sesshomaru!"

Sesshomaru gritted his teeth and then pushed Akuokaesu back and then he quickly picked up his nephew and jumped just in time for...

"Wind Scar!" Akuokaesu didn't move in time as the Wind Scar made a direct hit and he yelled as he was dying, "NO!"

"Keh, that's what you get, bastard, for killing me and stealing my Tessaiga."

In a weak voice, Akihiko said, "Uncle Inuyasha. Uncle Sesshomaru." They both looked at him as Sesshomaru was still holding him in his arms. Inuyasha's eyes soften and said, "What is it, little man?"

Akihiko was about to say something, but Sesshomaru said, "I need to get him to his mother before it's too late. Inuyasha, go tell father and he knows what to do next."

"Huh? What's that?"

"Just do as I say!"

"Keh!"

He left Sesshomaru with their nephew as Sesshomaru engulfed Akihiko with his youki cloud and sped off towards the palace.

Inuyasha found his father and Miroku fighting some opposing demons. They seemed to be surrounded. Inuyasha smirked. He jumped up to a tree.

He yelled, "Dad!"

InuTaisho looked at his youngest son, who was in the air with Tessaiga ready to attack. He quickly grabbed Miroku, who just finished purifying those he was fighting, jumped just in time...

"Backlash Wave!"

"Well done, son," InuTaisho complimented. His face flushed because he'd never been by his father before.

"Um, thanks dad."

Miroku coughed not to interrupt the father/son bonding moment, "Ahem, Kouga and the others are arriving right about... now." He pointed which way they would appear in a matter of seconds. Then Kouga came running as well as Touran and her panther family. The dragon lord of the north appeared as well.

InuTaisho commanded in a serious tone, "Report."

Kouga spoke first, "Lord InuTaisho, most if not all demon warriors had been vanquished."

"What about the humans?"

"Lady Zokushi told us that the humans were under a mind-controlling spell. Once she reversed it, they acted as though they didn't know where they were. She told all, but one, to go home."

"Where is she?"

"She's with the human, now, my lord."

InuTaisho asked to Inuyasha, "Where's Sesshomaru?"

"He went to take Akihiko back to the palace. The pup seemed weak. Sesshomaru said that, 'you would know what to do next' whatever that means."

InuTaisho nodded in understanding.

That was when, Zoku made an appearance. She announced, "I gathered and restraint the prisoners of war, including the human. Fret not. I used my very own anti-youki cuffs. They would make them as weak as a human. What shall I do with them, my lord?"

InuTaisho nodded and said, "Take them to the palace's dungeon. We will take care of them later."

Zoku smirked, "It shall be done." She turned around and walked a few feet away from where she was standing.

"And Zoku?" She stopped and looked over her shoulder.

"Yes, my lord."

"Have the guards treat them well." She nodded in acknowledgement and walked towards the prisoners of war. She would get them to march back to the palace.

InuTaisho announced, "Lets return to the palace and finish them off!"

Everyone yelled in excitement and sped their way to the palace.

Sesshomaru wasn't sure what he'll find. He just prayed that Kagome and their unborn pup were alright. He knew that Inuhime would do anything to protect Kagome, Rin, and Shippo. He looked at his nephew. He looked so pale. He exhausted himself during that fight. He was proud of him. He was brave for a pup. He nuzzled his neck and whispered into his nephew's ear, "Hold on, little one. We are almost there."
