Molly was in her room, making sure she had packed everything for the Christmas break. "Molls, are you done yet?" Lucy asked from the other side of the room, reading.
"Yeah, I think so," she said, double checking. After she was satisfied, she walked over to where Lucy sat and plopped down. Lucy looked up to what Molly had packed, which contained a suitcase and two bags.
"Merlin, Molly. You do know Christmas break is only one week right?" Lucy asked, turning her attention back to her sister.
"I know, the bags are full off books," Molly said, grinning.
"Molly," Lucy moaned, making Molly laugh. "I know you're normal, I believe that. And every time I think you are, I turn around and you do this. The way you're reading, it reminds me of Aunt Hermione."
"Oh hush Lucy. I'm not that bad," she tired to defend herself.
"Oh?" Lucy asked, raising an eyebrow towards her sister. "How many books are there in your room?" Molly played with her hands not wanting to answer, if she did, she would know what Lucy would say. "My thoughts exactly," Lucy said, giggling when Molly flicked her forehead.
"Shall we go to and have breakfast then?" Molly asked, Lucy nodded. They walked out of the room and headed towards the Great Hall.
"Are we going to sit with each other on the train like we normally do?" Lucy asked.
"I think so," Molly said, thinking. "No one's said anything so far, so yeah." Lucy nodded and they walked in silence. They walked in, the Hall was decorated for Christmas and everyone was glad that Christmas break has finally arrived. There was talk about who was doing what, and what they think their getting for Christmas. Lucy waved Molly goodbye before sitting with her friends, leaving Molly to find her own.
"Morning Molly," Lola greeting once Molly sat down beside her.
"Morning," she replied and grabbed some toast and other foods.
"Excited that break is finally here?" Cesare asked, she shrugged.
"The only thing I'm excited for is hanging out in my room by myself," she replied after she swallowed.
"Ah come on Molly," her cousin who happened to be sitting close to Molly and her friends, Hugo said, overhearing Molly's conversation. "Having Christmas at Grandma Weasley is going to be more fun then hanging out in your room."
"I agree with Hugo," their other cousin, Albus said, "Going there for Christmas is always fun."
"Yeah, I agree," Molly said, turning her attention to the two. "But I see you guys almost everyday. Being in my room is break from the world."
"You're a bore then if you rather be by yourself then hang out with family," Albus said, Molly's face dropped and suddenly her food was more interesting then the conversation. This action caused Molly's friends to look at her in worry. James was walking by when he heard his brother say that. James stopped and slapped his brother upside the head. "Ow! James what was that for!"
"Molly's not a bore Albus. She's different and different's good," James said, and Molly looked up to see James glaring at Albus while he was rubbing the back of his head. "If she wants to spend time by herself, then that's fine. She still hangs out with her family when she wants too. Remember that time you got stuck in a tree?" James asked causing Hugo to laugh so hard, he spat out his juice everywhere.
"When someone dared me to climb it?" Albus asked, glaring at Hugo. James nodded. "How can I forget? Everyone tends to bring that up every time we play truth or dare."
"Who didn't laugh at you and helped you down when everyone was too busy laughing at you?" James asked, crossing his arms and raised an eyebrow.
"Molly, but she was too busy reading that new book Aunt Hermione got her for her birthday to even pay attention."
"Really? If I recall, she's the one that dared you to climb the tree in the first place," James said, Hugo was still busy laughing, and Albus widen his eyes as if remembering, which he probably was.
"Hey! You're right!"
"Aren't I always?" James asked, smirking.
"No, you're usually wrong about everything James," Molly retorted, making James scowl playfully.
"Why did you dare me to climb the tree anyway?" Albus asked, turning his attention to his older cousin.
"I knew you couldn't climb a tree very well. And it was revenge for that time you convinced me puking pastilles were chocolate and had me eat some," Molly replied with a shrug.
"But that was Hugo's idea!" he exclaimed.
"Was not!" Hugo managed to say after laughing so hard.
"Doesn't matter who's idea it was anyways, I still had my revenge."
"No you didn't," Hugo said. "I don't remember you doing anything to me." Molly looked at him, making Hugo squirm.
"Yeah I did. Remember that time you got really sick and your parents couldn't figure out what was wrong?" Molly questioned. "And the only person-besides me-knew what was going on was Uncle George."
"That was you!" Hugo shouted, finally realizing what Molly was talking about. "I was sick for days! And Uncle George bloody knew! I'm going to get you back for that!"
"Don't bother Hugo," James said, Hugo looked at him in confusion. "If you get her back, she'll get you back twice as bad."
"Really?" Hugo questioned and Molly and James nodded.
"Yeah. Me and Molly are currently having a prank war going on and guess who's winning?"
"Not you that's for sure," Ablus mumbled, causing James to flick his brother on the head.
"Molly's winning?" Hugo asked in disbelief.
"I know, who would have thought that the king of pranks is getting his butt kicked at his own game by one of his cousins."
"I'm only winning because I'm smarter then you, James."
"That, and you're more creative," James said, and Molly, Hugo and Albus stared at him. "What?"
"Was that a complement James?" Molly asked, he nodded like it wasn't a big deal. Molly on the other hand was making it more of a big deal than necessary. "Awe, James I'm so touched."
James rolled his eyes. "Whatever Molly, you know it's true."
"Yeah, but it's nice to hear it all the same," Molly said, smiling. Once their conversation was over, they a went back to their business.
Further down the Hufflepuff table, Cor and Victoria were sitting having their own topic to talk about.
"You sure are getting friendly with Molly," Victoria stated, hinting at something more. Cor shook his head and looked at his cousin.
"We're just friends, Victoria. Nothing more," he said.
"Mhm, I've never seen Molly so happy," she said.
"Maybe because she made a new friend," Cor suggested, with a shrug.
"Maybe," she said and went back to her breakfast. Cor looked up and found he was looking at Molly. She was currently laughing at something one of her friends said and threw a grape at Lola.
Maybe there's something more to Molly than meets the eye, he thought. As if Molly heard her name, she looked up to see Cor. Realizing he was caught, he blushed slightly, glad that Molly couldn't see. Molly's smile widen and turn back to her friends.
After breakfast, the students made their way to their common rooms to get ready for leaving the school. The students who aren't going home for the break, stayed in the common rooms, hanging out with friends or doing homework.
After Molly was ready and bringing her luggage, she made her way down to the gate. "Molly! Wait up!" Lucy called a little behind Molly.
She stopped and waited until her sister caught up to her. "Do you think we'll have just as much fun this year then we did last?" Lucy asked, as they began their walk
"I don't see why not. I mean, Grandma Weasley always makes sure we're having fun."
"And James," Lucy pointed out. Molly rolled her eyes.
"Can't forget about him," she said sarcastically.
Once boarding the train, the two girls went to find a compartment together. "Hey!" They turned around to see Fred waving at them. "We already found one!" he called and the girls made their way towards him.
Once they got there, the compartment was already full. "It seems it gets cramped every year," Molly said, pitting her trunk on the racks above.
"It's only cuz Dom gets so fat," James said jokingly, which caused Dom to flick James. "I'm only joking," he said laughing.
"Still, that was rude," Dom said, moving over a little so Lucy can sit. "Have a seat Molls." Molly gave Dom a look.
"Where? You have five people sitting on one bench. I'll stand for a bit, its not like we're all staying in here until we get to Kings Cross aways."
"What makes you say that?" Louis asked, Molly shrugged and sat down on the floor.
"It's the same every year. We all meet up at one compartment, talking about what we're doing on the break, and then when someone's fed up with it being so cramped they'll leave and find somewhere else to sit."
"Maybe it'll change this year," Lily said.
"Maybe."
But its exactly what happened. They all talked about what they had planned for the break, and make plans for when they all meet up at Grandma Weasley's. But before someone left, they started a different topic.
"So when do you think Teddy and Victorie married?" Rose asked, everyone sat and thought about it for a moment.
"No idea. They have been dating for a couple of years now, haven't they?"
"Well, Victorie said that they were going to wait until she was of age. Now that she is, it could be soon or next year."
"Well whenever they do, Mum's going to be ecstatic," Louis said.
"I think everyone will be."
After a little while, they started to leave the compartment. Some claiming that they wanted to see their friends before they stop at Kings Cross. The only left was Molly.
She got off the floor and sat down by the window, staring out it.
She was so deep in thought, that she didn't hear the door open. It took until the person who opened the door knock on the window, scaring Molly.
Molly jumped and looked who made the noise seeing it was Cor. "Sorry for scaring you. I didn't think I would," he said.
"That's okay, I've just been thinking that's all," Molly said with a smile. "You know you can sit right? I don't bite."
Cor smiled and sat down across from Molly. "If you don't mind me asking, what are you thinking?"
"Holiday with my big dysfunctional family," Molly said, and rubbing her temple's as if getting a headache from thinking about it.
"It can't be all that bad, can it?" Cor asked.
"Sometimes it can be the best thing in the world. Other times its just a huge headache. I mean, we all have different personalities its hard to keeping track on who likes what."
"How many are there in general?"
"Huh, um lets see," Molly said thinking. "Twelve, but if you include Victoria's boyfriend, Teddy. There's thirteen of us."
"Wow, that must be fun," Cor said, Molly shrugged.
"It's fine I guess. I can't really complain," she said, and Cor gave her a look. "Okay yeah, maybe I'm complaining a little bit," she said and they laughed. "What's it like having a small family?"
Cor shrugged. "Annoying, but a little quieter then having a huge one. I don't mind though, they've been there for me through my bad times and good times," he said and Molly stared at him questioningly. But before she could say anything, the train pulled to the stop. Molly looked out the window seeing Kings Cross crowded. "Looks like we're here," Cor stated, Molly nodded. Molly brought down her suitcase and they made their way off the train.
"Molly!" Molly and Cor turned around to see Lucy waving at them fanatically. "I've found Mum and Dad!"
"Okay! I'll be right there!" Molly called, and turned back to Cor. "Well, it looks like I won't be seeing you until after Christmas," she said, Cor nodded.
"Before you go," Cor started saying, and dug into his pant pockets looking for something. After a moment he pulled out a piece of paper. "If it's not too much trouble, would you mind writing to me during the break?" he asked, handing Molly the paper.
Molly smiled and nodded. "Yeah of course," she said taking the paper from him.
"Molly! Hurry up!" Lucy said impatiently, Molly groaned causing Cor to chuckle.
"You should get going, I think Lucy's about to come here and strangle one of us," Cor said with a smile. Molly beamed at him and nodded.
"I'll write, you better too!" Molly said, and started walking towards her family.
"Of course!" he called and waved back when Molly waved.
"You know, it's not like your not going to see each other again. It's only an one week break," Lucy huffed when Molly finally reached her.
"I know, it's just..." she trailed off.
"Just what?" Lucy said, poking her sister as they made their way to their parents.
"There's something about Cor that's got me..."
"Molly, are you crushing one Cor?" Lucy asked, with a grin. Molly shrugged, but there was a blush creeping on her cheeks. Lucy squealed and hugged Molly making her laugh. "Cor's an awesome guy, if you can catch him before someone else does, I'll be the happiest person ever."
Molly snorted. "Right, I don't think I can go into another relationship right now, Lucy. But if it does happen, I'll let you know," she quickly added when she saw Lucy about to say something.
"You deserve to be happy Molly," Lucy said before their parents where in earshot. The girls hugged their parents and began talking.
Cor watched Molly and Lucy talk to their parents with a smile on his face. "Finally asked Molly out?" Sherman asked, wrapping his arms around Cor's shoulders.
"No, what makes you say that?" he asked, blushing.
"One, you're smiling like it's already Christmas and two, you're blushing," Victoria said, standing beside him. Cor shook his head.
"Well you're wrong. Besides, I don't think Molly would be interested in me anyways," he said, shrugging Sherman's arm off him and began making his way to his aunt and uncle.
"You never know Cor," Jared said. "That girls more of a mystery than you."
Cor raised an eyebrow. "How am I a mystery?" he asked, Jared shrugged.
"You're too quiet and you don't talk much about the...you know," Jared said and Cor nodded his head understanding.
