Alright, hey guys. so, It's been decided, I'm gonna do a rewrite. you can expect the first chapter up on Monday or Tuesday of next week. The Eighteenth or the Nineteenth. And it will be a different story. this one will stay up at least until I get past where I am in it, maybe indefinitely. Title will stay the same. just with Redux at the end for ease of location.
Real fast I just wanted to go over a few changes, that I'll be making in this rewrite so you'll know what to expect. if you don't wanna spoil anything and just be surprised, then stop here!
First, Naruto wont lose all of his memories this time around. he wont just be a blank slate. Instead, this time around, Naruto's memories will simply become garbled and unfocused. Basically he'll be able to recall things, but it will no longer, all be there, and it'll be unfocused. Basically he wont have any connection to certain memories anymore.
Secondly, I'm going to up the anger and resentment towards Naruto from the village. I feel I went to light on it, with how much he fears returning there, and hates them. So yeah, expect much darker. Ie. Neglect, Beatings, Abuse, Abandonment, and all around Assholery. No Rape or anything, so don't worry. Also, Naruto will resent his old teammates and comrades a lot more. Ie. Kakashi for never training him. Sakura, for calling him a loser and treating him like crap. Sasuke for being a douchebag. Kiba for treating him like to the deadlast... ect, ect. Basically, we're gonna see a Naruto that hate's Konoha for the cesspool it's become, and is terrified of being forced to return to such a horrible place. Naruto wont be all emo, revenge driver, brooding. He'll just try to ignore them and focus on his life.
Thirdly, I'm going to spend the first chapter or so, focused on Naruto's training. No more Shadow Clone training method. just sheer hard work and ball busting. In this story, Naruto wont be god-like, but he will be strong. by that I mean, he may or may not have the ability to beat the bad guy, but at times it'll take work. He'll beat them by being clever and smart, and using his power correctly, not just blowing them away with godlike abilities. For an accurate description of what kind of warrior he'll be, think more about a more Ninjutsu and Kenjutsu, oriented version of Itachi. Naruto will learn a large number of skills and be very skilled at stealth and deception. Think about it like this... In my story, Naruto is a powerhouse... trained by a Kitsune. and in this story his alias in The Kitsune. So he'll be powerful, but also tricky and deceptive. In terms of attitude, he'll act mostly the same as he does in the this version, but he'll 'act' more like a cocky asshole. it'll just be part of his fighting persona, since Naruto is good at drawing agro.
Minato will no longer be as strong as he was in this story, and I'll be either coming up with a new reason he was alive with Kushina, or I'll come up with a lot more restrictions for the True Clone Jutsu.
Ami, will be seen earlier but not known. Kurama will find Naruto's sealed memories much earlier, but Naruto will be hesitant to open them. I guess you could say, his lost memories and his sealed ones are kinda mixed together so he's got far past and recent past memories kinda all garbled together and it doesn't hold much context. Naruto may recognize that Ami was an old friend, but he wont remember specifics until later. like he'll have dreams about his old sister figure, but he wont know her name, or who she is. only that she was someone he knew.
Also, I will focus more on Naruto and Nayumi's relationship over time. like when he starts to work for Daso, he'll meet her a few times and maybe even work with her, so that the two form a sort of rivalry, or maybe just a one-sided rivalry, on Nayumi's behalf. I wanted to insure that Naruto accepting to marry her, didn't seem so sudden and fit more in line with his desire for freedom and security. hopefully this time around, it'll feel more like Naruto is just looking for security, safety, and stability, rather then just being desperate and on the run, type behavior.
Anyway, that's many of the major changes from out of the gate. expect to see the first chapter on Monday, since that's my next day off. Anyway. JA NE!
