Chapter 17
" Good morning Angel." Anakin looked down at Padme who was curled up in his arms.
" Morning, why are you wake so early?" Padme looked up with sleepy eyes.
" Well I have to go to work today. So go back to sleep ok. Love you." Anakin kissed Padme before getting up out of bed and walking into the refresher.
Padme just yawned as she just laid there and watched a very naked Anakin walk into the refresher, she rolled back over to her side of the bed. Sitting up she saw that her night gown and robe was at the end of the bed. Picking her nightgown and slipping it over her head. Getting up out of the bed she then grabbed her blue robe and put it on before heading out of the room.
Walking down the hallway to the kitchen Padme could feel the total peace that surrounded the house.
Walking into the kitchen and using the Force she turned on the lights as she walked over to the Caf Machine and began starting making the tea for her and Caf for Anakin.
As the machine made the drinks Padme walked over to the cabinet and began pulling out of the stuff that she was going to use in making breakfast for Anakin.
Ten minutes later Padme had the food done and was just pouring the Caf into the cup just as Anakin came into the room.
" Mmm that smells so good." Anakin came over to Padme and wrapped his arms around her waist and kissed her bare neck.
" Thanks I thought a good breakfast would help you work better." Padme said as she turned her head just as Anakin kissed her.
" Yeah that would help, I know something else would help too, but of course we really don't have time for that, so this will have to work." Anakin let Padme go and took the cups of Caf and tea from her as she grabbed the two plates that had their food on them.
" Ok Anakin quit thinking with your smaller head, but you're right I wish we could do what you have in mind, but we don't have time for that, but maybe later." Padme sat the plates down on the table and sat down in her chair.
" So what are you going to do while am gone?" Anakin asked as he took a bite of his omelet.
" Well I think I will meditate for a couple of hours, because we haven't done in that in a while, then workout some before lunch." Padme taking a sip of her tea.
" Ok that sounds good, maybe during a break today I will do some meditate too. This is really good." Anakin took another bite of his breakfast.
" Thanks this is my mother's receipt. She use to fix this for all of us." Padme took a first bite of her omelet.
" Well it's good anyway. Damn I need to get going see you after work. Love you, and thanks for breakfast." Anakin got up from the table and kissed Padme before heading out of the kitchen.
" Ok I'll see you later, love you too and you're welcome." Padme followed Anakin to the front door and stood by it as she watched Anakin pull the speeder out of the garage and speed off towards town.
Padme closed the door and went back to the kitchen and picked up Anakin's plate and cup, walked over to the washer and put them inside before going back to the table and sat down and finished up her breakfast.
After breakfast Padme went back to the bedroom and got into the refresher before getting dress.
Padme left the bedroom and headed down to the room that her and Anakin set up as a workout and meditate room.
Laying down her mat on the floor, Padme did some stretching before sitting down on the mat.
Padme crossed her legs and rested her hands on her knees before closing her eyes. She then starts her deep meditation. While she was in deep meditation she saw a very dark and hooded figure showed up, and it had a very evil laugh and she could tell that it was filled with the dark side of the Force. But she couldn't see the person's face because of the hood, but she heard that laugh before and then she remember where she heard it and that person was … Padme opened up her eyes and gasped when she figured out who was behind everything, and the person who wants Amidala dead.
In town Anakin was working on a power coupler when he got a strange feeling from Padme, he could sense that she was scared of something but couldn't tell what because she blocked him.
" I want to thank you for your help Anakin, Mrs. Ryanson was very happy to get her food maker." Job came into the room and saw that Anakin sitting there staring into space.
" Um… sorry… oh sure your welcome and it's not a problem, that's what am here for." Anakin said as he came out of his trance.
" Are you ok?" Job asked giving his new worker a smile.
" Yeah am fine … I just had a strange feeling come over me that's all. I will have this power coupler done in about ten minutes if you want to contact the owner and let them know they can come and pick it up." Anakin said as he continue to work on the coupler.
" I see, sure I will let Stanley know that he can come and pick up his power coupler. He will be happy to know that he will be getting back three days early from what I told him." Job said before turning around and heading out of the back room when they heard the chime on the door.
Anakin just nodded and continued to work as he pushed the strange feeling to the back of his mind.
Once he was done with the coupler he turned his attention to a huge motor that was brought in four days ago. Picking up the work order on the motor he read what was wrong with it.
" Oh boy this one is going to fun to fix." Anakin said to himself as Job came back into the room.
" See you are now working on that thing, I tried to work on it but I got upset with it and stopped on it." Job looked in shock that Anakin was going to work on the thing.
" Well let's just say that am really good with things like this, I should have this thing working by late tomorrow." Anakin said as he took the spanner and went back to the motor.
" Ok, well Stanley is here." Job picked up the coupler in the fix box and went back into the front room.
Anakin took off the cover and began looking around the motor and didn't see anything wrong at the moment. So putting the cover back on he picked up the plug and plugged into the outlet, going back to the motor found the on and off switch and turned on the motor.
The motor slowly grind on; Anakin took off the cover and looked around then he could smell something burning. Turning off the motor there was a puff of smoke came from the motor.
" Damn." Anakin mumbled before he took the rest of the covering off of the motor and began looking around again and that's when he found the dead rodent and it had made a home in the motor and it even ate through a couple of wires, and it seems it was trying to eat through one more and well it got fried instead.
Anakin pulled out that rodent and began cleaning out the housing of the motor and then the motor itself and looking around to see what else was damaged.
Padme arrived into the town and looked around the main street and saw people wondering around and the traffic was flowing through the streets. Finding a parking space she got out of the speeder and looked around for the shop that Anakin was working at.
She saw a police droid and she came up to him.
" Excuse but can you help me?" Padme said as she stopped next to the droid.
" How can I help you Miss." The droid turned her way.
" Can you direct me to the repair shop please." Padme asked.
" Go down two blocks and cross the street it's the third door from the stop sign." The droid told her as he pointed towards the row of buildings that was across the street.
" Thank you." Padme said before walking down the street and coming to a cross walk.
Walking across the street she followed the droids directions, and came to the door that he told her was the repair shop. Padme looked at the glass door and saw the name on the door and saw that it was the place.
Padme opened the door, and walked into the room as the sound of the chime rang out.
" Good afternoon can I help you?" Job said as he came out of the back room.
" Good afternoon, am looking for Anakin." Padme said coming further into the room.
" Ok let me get him." Job said with a smile.
Job came into the back room and saw Anakin buried into the housing of the motor.
" I hate to interrupt your fun there, but there is a beautiful woman in the front room looking for you, why don't you stop for now and go to lunch." Job said as he stood next to the motor.
" Ok, thanks, well it seems there is lot of damage here, I found the problem and let's just say it's fried." Anakin sat up and nodded over to the pile of burnt fur that was on the floor next to the motor.
" Great, so who is that girl that is here to see you?" Job looked at the fur and shook his head.
" Her name is Padme and she is my wife." Anakin got up and went over to the washer and washed his hands before turning to Job.
" Well you are very lucky man." Job said as he heard the door chime again.
" Thank you." Anakin grabbed the dry towel and dried his hands before following Job to the front room.
" Anakin I would like for you to meet my daughter Olivia, Olivia this is Anakin." Job turned to face Anakin as he came into the room.
Anakin walked up to Padme and pulled her into his arms and gave her a quick kiss before turning his attention to Job and his daughter.
" It is nice to meet you, and this is my wife Padme." Anakin introduced Padme to the father and daughter.
" It's so very nice to meet you Padme, Anakin didn't tell me he was married until just a couple of minutes ago. I'm Job." Job came over to Anakin and Padme and shook Padme's hand.
" Thank you and it's nice to meet you too Job, I see well I guess the reason why he forgets is we just got married a few days ago." Padme said as she smiled up at Anakin, who smiled back at her.
" Well congratulation I hope that you both have a long and happy life together. Well it's time to get some lunch, so I'll see you back here in hour?" Job said as headed for the shop's door.
" Thank you and I will be back here in an hour." Anakin lead Padme out of the shop.
Job locked up the shop while Padme and Anakin headed down the street before crossing the street to the small café.
" Good afternoon, just have a seat and I'll be with you in a moment." The waiter said as he looked up from his drink order that he was working on.
Anakin and Padme nodded and headed over to the table that was next to the window and sat down before grabbing the menus and began looking at them.
" I wasn't expecting you to come to town and have lunch with me?" Anakin said as the waiter came over to their table with glasses of water.
" I somewhat got bored and I realized that I need a couple of things for something special that am making for dinner tonight." Padme said as she figured out what she wanted to eat.
" Ok, um I would like Jawa Juice and the ribs plate please." Anakin told the waiter.
" Ok the rib plate, and for you Miss." The waiter asked.
" I believe that I would have the same thing, but to drink I will just have the water." Padme said smiling at the old man who was taking their order.
" Ok that's two Rib plates, one Jawa Juice and water. I'll be back with your drink sir." The old man repeated their order back at them, before heading over to the drink station and got Anakin's drink, before turning in the food order to the cook in the kitchen.
" How would you like for me to get a holo-movie for us to watch tonight, and get a bottle of wine too." Anakin said as the old man came back with his drink and refilled Padme's water.
" Sure that sounds great we can cuddle up on the couch and watch a movie and just spend a quiet night together I like that." Padme smiled at Anakin.
They sat there holding hands and just making small talk when the old man came back to the table with their food.
They sat ate their lunch and just enjoying their lunch and time together before Anakin had to go back to work.
" I'll see later tonight, love you." Anakin said as they stopped in front of the shop door and he leaned and gave Padme a kiss.
" Ok see you later, love you too." Padme said as she kissed him again before heading down the street to the small food market.
Going inside the market Padme looked around before grabbing a small basket and began heading down isle and looking at the produce and picking up a few fruit and even veggies, before heading to the meat section of the market.
Twenty minutes later Padme left the market and headed back to the house. Once there she started with the Spice Cake that her grandmother makes for them, before going into the living area and meditate for a couple of hours before making the surprise dinner for Anakin.
Padme had just finished packing up the food basket when Anakin came into the house.
" Padme am home." Anakin said coming into the kitchen.
" Welcome home." Padme came up to Anakin and kissing him.
" Mmm it's smells so good, what do we have here?" Anakin pulled Padme into his arms and kissed her before seeing the basket on the counter.
" Well I thought we could have dinner by the pond, oh good you did get the wine." Padme smiled up at Anakin before she realized that he was holding a bottle in his hand.
" Ok that sounds good to me, and yes I did buy a bottle. Well let's go, because I'm hungry." Anakin said with a laugh as his stomach began to growl.
Padme pulled out of Anakin's arms and grabbed the bottle from him and put it into the basket along with the two wine glasses, before closing up the basket.
Anakin grabbed the basket while Padme grabbed the blanket that was draped over the back of a chair.
They left the house and walked on down to the pond and Anakin found a spot that was next to the pond.
Padme laid down the blanket before Anakin put down the basket in the middle of the blanket before he sat down next to the basket.
Padme sat down on the other side of the basket, then she opened up the basket and handed the bottle over to Anakin so he could opened it up, before he grabbed the glasses and began pouring the wine into the glasses.
Padme reached into the basket and pulled out a warming plate and handed it over to Anakin.
" Hope you like it, it is fish with fruit sauce and mash potatoes and mixed veggies." Padme said as she pulled out her plate and began taking off the cover.
" That sounds good to me, you know me I will eat almost anything." Anakin said with a laugh.
" True you will do that, and the funny thing is I will do the same thing too, am not really picky about my food." Padme said with a laugh as she began eating her dinner.
They talked for a little bit while they ate their dinner and it was just as the sun went down over the pond they headed back to the house just as it got really dark.
Ten minutes after they cleaned up the dishes and cleaned up the kitchen, they headed into the living room and cuddled up on the couch and began watching the movie that Anakin brought home before they headed off to bed and falling sound asleep in each other's arms.
