Hey, yeah sorry about the wait, I know I've been doing that a lot lately. But if I would've been able to update, I'd have done it. Not to mention I have two more stories that I'm in the process of finalizing the plot. My deepest apologies anyway, here it is.

Bonnie sighed contentedly as she spread out on the towel, the sun on her back. "I've never understood why women go to the beach only just to sit on the towel for the entire time." Kol said as he plopped down next to her.

"It's relaxing. And I do dip my toes in the water." Bonnie responded and she forced herself not to blatantly stare at Kol in his swimsuit, the Mikaelsons had good genes.

"'Dip your toes in the water'? You can't go to a beach just to 'Dip your toes in the water'." Kol argued. "Well I am." Bonnie replied firmly. "Not if I have anything to do with it." Kol said, before she could process what he had said, : ok had flung her over his shoulder.

"Kol! Put me down now! Kol! I swear to-" But Kol kept on walking determinedly until he was waist deep in water. Than, unceremoniously, he dropped her in the water. Bonnie resurfaced, coughing and sputtering. "Kol!" She immediately jumped up on him and wrapped her arms and legs around him like he was a tree. "What if there are sharks or something!"

"Bonnie, sharks rarely attack people, besides, I'll look out for them." Kol said comfortingly as he wrapped his arms around her and tucked her hair behind her ear.

"They'll sneak up on us! Did you know, they attack more often in shallow water than in deep water?" Bonnie said clinging onto him. "Bonnie, you are more likely to be struck by lightning than attacked by a shark. Have you been watching too much of Shark Week lately?" Kol said smiling down at her.

"I have actually. I've always been fascinated by sharks, though they still scare me." Bonnie confessed. "Did you know the book and movie Jaws was based on real events? In 1916 in New Jersey from July 1 to July 14, there were a series of Shark attacks that-" Suddenly Kol pressed his lips to her, Bonnie was surprised she didn't respond. When she didn't respond Kol pulled back.

"I'm sorry, I shouldn't have forced that on you." Recovering from her initial shock, she gently placed a short kiss to his lips. "No I'm sorry for just standing there, I was surprised." For awhile they just stood there comfortably, until Bonnie asked, "Kol can we get out of the water now?" "You still scared?"

"...Yes..." Bonnie answered hesitantly. Kol sighed in fake annoyance and walked her back to the sand. They stayed at the beach for a couple hours, basking in the sun, Kol even was able to talk Bonnie into spending more time in the water.

As they were packing up their things, an attractive woman in her early fifties approached Bonnie and Kol. "You guys are just adorable. Everyone can see you two are so in love." Bonnie's breath is nearly knocked out of her chest. Love? She just met Kol. Was she ready for love?

The woman's voice breaks her out of her thoughts. "How long have you been together?" Thankfully Kol jumps in and wraps an arm around Bonnie's waist. "We just got married, we're on our honeymoon." "Wow, I can't believe you guys were able to make it out of the bedroom." Immediately Bonnie blushes bright red and buries her face into Kol's chest.

A man who looked to be about the same age as the woman walked up and wrapped an arm around her. "You'll have to excuse my wife. She can be a bit blunt." "No harm done." Kol answered good naturedly. "Well any way we should get going, it was nice meeting you."

For the rest of the day, Bonnie was deep in thought, and barely paid attention to what was going on around her. The parade with bright exciting floats barely excited her. She knew she had feelings for Kol but what were they? Was it love? God help her.
