After the Volturi left and we returned home, one by one our friends…really our extended family began to take off after goodbyes. The Romanians to no one's surprise took off right after the Volturi left, figuring the Volturi's pride was wounded at this point, might be a time to attack. None of us tried to talk them out of it, none of us saw it going well either.

Sadly Benjamin and Tia left pretty quick too, promising that things would be different and promising that we would all get together soon, but they were anxious to let Amun and Kebi know that all had gone well and that Benjamin had not been snatched by the Volturi goon squad. I've always tried to keep my emotions to myself, I learned a long time ago to be careful about growing close with people, it was a trick a lot of kids of my generation picked up to deal with the day after day of death and destruction of London, but saying goodbye to Tia and Benjamin, even if we'd see them in the near future washed away the wall I had built so long ago…the wall that had been slowly dismantling thanks to Esme and now Fi.

None of the nomads stayed, Peter and Charlotte gave quick goodbyes to us, spoke with Jasper briefly and took off, promising we'd see them again soon. The Amazons bid us goodbye and invited us to visit anytime, before they left, anxious to return to the rainforest they had left behind.

The Irish coven stayed longer than expected, mainly because Fi pulled them aside to speak in private, taking over the library.

I couldn't help it, I paced in front of the library for the hour they were in there, wondering exactly how the conversation was going, even though I knew what it was about. Fi was asking Liam and Siobhan permission to remain here instead of returning to Ireland with them.

Maggie was understandably sad as they walked into the library, knowing what was coming, but I could tell she was also happy for her sister. I felt for her, wondering how it must feel coming here and leaving without her sister because that sister connected with a guy they'd only just met.

When the hour was up my pacing had increased, but the Irish clan in its entirety didn't emerge, only Fi and Maggie came out, Fi reached out and took my hand for a moment giving me a warm smile. She disappeared around the corner, returning seconds later with Carlisle and Esme, they both smiled and went into the library, joining Siobhan and Liam, shutting the door behind them.

"Well?" I asked,

"I told Liam and Siobhan I want to try this lifestyle and that I…I want to be here with you. They want to talk to Carlisle and Esme, make sure it's okay with them that I stay."

I looked at Maggie,

"Maggie I'm so-"

"No Chris," Maggie replied, she reached over and hugged me "no apologies," she paused "my grandmother told me once that we're all born incomplete, that our soul mate is really the missing piece to us. You and Fi have found your missing pieces." She kissed my cheek "take care of my sister,"

"I will." I promised, just as the library door opened again and all four emerged, smiling.

Siobhan, Esme, and Carlisle headed towards the front door, the girls following, Liam hung back he put his hand on my shoulder pulling me back and I winced, ready for the verbal assault or even threat regarding Fi.

"I don't know what she sees in you boyo, but if yer anything like Carlisle I know she's in good 'ands." He paused don't make me regret it Scotty." He added in Irish, which I understood loud and clear.

"Liam," Fi called, shaking her head at him, he gave her a shrug and joined Siobhan at the door.

"Well done, Siobhan," Carlisle complimented

"Ah, the power of wishful thinking," she answered sarcastically, she rolled her eyes and Maggie, Fi, and I chuckled, before Siobhan continued, her voice turning serious, as Edward and Bella joined us, wanting to say goodbye to the Irish coven too "Of course, this isn't over. The Volturi won't forgive what happened here."

Edward cleared his throat,

"They've been seriously shaken; their confidence is shattered. But, yes, I'm sure they'll recover from the blow someday. And then…" he took a deep breath "I imagine they'll try to pick us off separately."

"Wonderful." I muttered, Esme moved over and put her arms around both Fi and I, holding us close.

"Alice will warn us when they intend to strike," Siobhan assured us "And we'll gather again. Perhaps the time will come when our world is ready to be free of the Volturi altogether."

"That time may come," Carlisle replied. "If it does, we'll stand together."

"Yes, my friend, we will," Siobhan agreed. "And how can we fail, when I will it otherwise?" she burst out laughing.

"Exactly," Carlisle said as he hugged Siobhan and shook Liam's hand. "Try to find Alistair and tell him what happened. I'd hate to think of him hiding under a rock for the next decade."

"We will," Siobhan assured him, she paused and looked at Fi and I "take care of her, please."

Esme reached over and hugged Siobhan tight, no words were needed between them, two mothers coming to an understanding.

We walked the Irish coven outside, the rest of the family waving goodbye and returning to the house. There was one more rounds of hugs. We promised to come to Ireland soon to visit and that was it, the Irish Clan headed out.

Fi's shoulders fell a little as she waved bye to the Irish Clan as Siobhan's figure disappeared into the tree line. She leaned into my shoulder and gave a sigh.

"You okay?" I asked

"I...I...I'm missing them," she admitted "they just left and I already miss them."

"Fi, it's okay to miss them, no one is judging you on that." I paused and kissed her cheek "but you being here means we'll see a lot of your family. And I'd go anywhere to be with you, we can visit them whenever we want."

"I love you Chris,"

"Love you too Fi,"

She took my hand and we walked back towards the house. Alice was standing on the porch, grinning with a smug smile.

"Don't even start Alice," I warned, trying to sound annoyed, trying to be mad at my sister, but I couldn't be any of those things. I was just so thankful to have her and Jasper home, but I wasn't going to let her know that. "I'm not speaking to you."

"Oh don't pout Christian, it doesn't suit you." Alice replied, her grin widening "I did tell you things would work out." She added looking at Fi "didn't I?"

I grumbled my response to that, but she ignored me. she hopped off the porch and wrapped her arms around Fi's shoulders, hugging her tight.

"Um, hi," Fi stammered and Alice smiled again

"Oh don't worry," Alice exclaimed "we'll work on that shyness."

"My what?"

Alice hugged her again and skipped off back into the house. Bella and Edward had been deep in conversation with Huilen and Nahuel. We had expected them to go with the Amazons, but Nahuel seemed just as intrigued by Nessie and Bella as the rest of us were with him.

"Oh, Carlisle and Esme are looking for you two." She called "and watch out for Emmett."

"Emmett?" Fi asked "why do we need to watch out for Emmett?"

I sighed and chuckled, kicking some snow with the toe of my sneakers. Packing snow. I knelt down and made a snowball and listened carefully. I could hear my brother's soft laughter floating up from the tree line, clearly trying to be inconspicuous, but failing.

"How's your throwing arm?" I asked, Fi grinned at me

"If you're talking snowballs, I'm the queen."

I returned the grin

"Better warm up your throwing arm your majesty. We're about to be bombarded."

Fi looked at the snowball in my hands and shook her head, she picked up a pile of snow and molded it into her own snowball.

"Where is he?" she asked

"Behind the tree line, northwest."

"Which tree?"

"Pine, behind Esme's sundial, to the left of it two feet."

"Perfect," Fi wound up and let the snow ball fly, we both heard a splat and what sounded like mounds of snow falling off the trees, followed by a clear

"What the hell!" from Emmett, Fi and I burst into hysterical laughter, which only increased when Emmett stumbled out, snow and ice covering his head and upper body. "Who threw that!?" He demanded, Fi's aim was amazing. She had hit a branch a few feet above Emmett, causing an avalanche of snow to bury my brother, turning him into the abominable snowman.

"What's up Frosty?" I asked between chuckles

"Dr. Doolittle I'm going to give you a whitewashing you'll never forget!"

"Wasn't me Em," I replied nodding at Fi. I half expected her to be intimidated by Emmett, his boisterous attitude had made me nervous when I first met him and I know Fi had felt the same way, but she had apparently gotten used to my brother because she grinned and waved at him.

"Fifi?!" he exclaimed "damn you've got aim." He brushed some snow off his head so it rained down on us. "Springtime, first game of the season I call dibs on Fifi.

"Fifi?" Fi repeated "it sounds like the name of a poodle."

"Perfect," Emmett replied "from now on you are Fifi. And come baseball season you are on team Emmett." He threw a big snow arm around Fi's shoulders "Fifi, this is going to be the beginning of a beautiful friendship."

Fi looked back at me and I gave a shrug as I followed them towards the house. The evening sun began to set behind the tree line and I took a deep breath, giving a content sigh. I wasn't Alice I couldn't see into the future, but I could feel it all around me. Content. We had survived the Volturi's inquisition, even if Siobhan and Edward were right and the Volturi came back tenfold to take us out. We had allies that could never be challenged, that would stand by us no matter what. More importantly my family was together again, together plus one.

Whatever the future held for me and my family could come, I wasn't concerned about it though, come whatever tomorrow or the day after or even one hundred years from now, the sun would continue to set and rise again and again, as constant as my family's love and dedication to each other. "Chris!" Rose's voice echoed from her room "Come get your rat off my curtains!

I grinned, as constant as Chaplin's infatuation with Rose. I closed my eyes and took another deep breath, though, I had to admit I was excited and definitely curious to see what the future had in store for my family…and especially for me and Fi.

A/N: So we have reached the end, well at least the end of the actual Twilight Series with Chris. I am not planning on leaving it at this, I do have a lot of post-Twilight fics that I know you guys will like, including one that I am very excited to bring you guys. I'm also game for one shots or even suggestions of stories you'd like to read regarding Chris. I also want to try and work on some of the prequels that I had started that have given me trouble, so I'd love to work with someone on those prequels if anyone is interested. I hope you guys enjoyed these fics as much as I enjoyed writing them. It has been an amazing ride and I've made some great friends along the way, but again it's not over so please don't count me out yet. Take care everyone and again thank you so much for all the support!
