Hello again my friends, time once again for another chapter of starformers. Jack is at a dangerous crossroads now, will he give into despair? How will he properly wield his lightsaber? Let's find out.

Chapter 18

Jack's POV

Why can't I feel my left arm?" I asked horrified

"Jack we need you to stay calm" Barriss said. "You've sustained massive injuries and we don't want you to aggravate them."

"I need to see." I said still panicking, I tried to lift my right arm but pain shot through my hand and I couldn't lift it. Then ahsoka gently put her hand on my wrist.

"Jack." She said with tears in her eyes. "You're not going to like what you see, Maybe you should wait until you're stronger."

"No." I said "I need to see it."

"Alright." Ahsoka said taking my hand and squeezing it. "But let me."

With that she pulled back the covers and what I saw sent ice cold chills down my spine. I looked like a mummy most of my body was covered in bandages, each of the fingers on my right hand had a splint on them, my entire right leg was encased in a cast, meaning it was broken in several places, but the worst thing was looking where my left arm should have been, there was nothing there, not even a stump. Mom knew what was going to happen and reacted quickly, she grabbed a trash can from over by a desk and got there just in time for me to lean over the bed and vomit into it. Once that was done I fainted again from pain and horror.

The next few weeks were rough. After a week in the hospital I was deemed fit enough to leave my bed, I was given a wheelchair and was able to move around at least. Ahsoka and mom spent the most time with me, and arcee whenever she had even half an hour to spare she was always here. X never left my side, I finally managed to convince Collins to return to this other duties, but he still spent most of his free time with me as well. Everyone could see what I went through had a huge effect on me, but the council knew they had to question me about what happened, but after receiving one of my mom's signature glares even master yoda backed down. But eventually I was brought before them to answer whatever questions they had.

"Jackson." Master windu said "Greeting."

"Masters." I said showing the respect that was required at the time.

"Jack." Obi wan asked "How are you doing?"

"Alright all things considered." I said unconsciously grabbing where my left arm should have been.

"Normally we would wait until you have fully recovered." Windu said "But given who captured you we need to know if he managed to extract any intel from you."

"Vince only tried to get intel on the republic when Dooku was watching." I explained. "When he wasn't he was only interested in getting the coordinates of earth."

"For what purpose?" Windu asked.

"Only to go home." I said "Vince couldn't fool me, he talked big about being loyal to the separatists I knew that he was only interested in going home. But that is not going to happen."

"I take it you didn't give him the coordinates." I said putting on a fake smile. "It's my way of punishing him."

"Punishing him?" Obi wan asked.

"Yep." I said still smiling. "It's tearing him up knowing that I can go home but he will never see Earth, his family or his friends again."

"Was that the only reason?" A master I didn't recognise asked

"That is just a bonus." I explained. "I knew that Dooku would use that information to invade and try to conquer earth. But they didn't get anything out of me."

"Very well jack." Windu said. "You are free to go."

With that I left but I knew they were going to continue to discuss the matter.

I just wheeled myself back to my quarters to just be alone and think but it wasn't meant to be. Mom, ahsoka and X were waiting for me.

"Hey." I said with no real emotion.

"Jack this has to stop." Ahsoka said

"What has to stop." I asked

"You're bottling up your emotions again." June said "We can tell."

"You need to just let them out jack." Ahsoka said "It's not good for you to keep them locked up like that."

"I'm fine." I said starting to get irritated. "I'm going to take a shower

"No your not." Ahsoka said "you need help."

"No. I. Don't." I said trying to remove my shirt which was very difficult with only one hand.

"Yes. You. Do." Mom said "Jack you've lost more than anyone your age should have. You can't pretend that nothing's wrong."

"FINE!" I shouted finally exploding "YOU WANT TO KNOW WHAT'S WRONG?! WHAT'S WRONG IS THAT I AM COMPLETELY USELESS."

"Jack that's not true." ahsoka said

"YES IT IS!" I shouted "A BULLY FROM SCHOOL KIDNAPPED ME CONSTANTLY SLICED ME WITH A LASER SWORD, BROKE EVERY FINGER ON MY RIGHT HAND, BROKE MY LEG IN FIVE PLACES, HE RUINED ME!"

"No he hasn't jack." mom said tears in her eyes.

"MOM SINCE COMING BACK I HAVEN'T BEEN ABLE TO USE THE FORCE PROPERLY, AND IN CASE YOU HAVEN'T NOTICED I JUST BECAME RIGHT HANDED!" (Teen Titans) I yelled pointing to my left shoulder which was still heavily bandaged. "I! AM! USELESS!"Once I said that I threw my lightsaber across the room where it bounced off Aya's console and landed on the floor.

"Jack you're just recovering." Ahsoka said "No one expects you to just bounce back from it."

"Ahsoka what am I supposed to do?" I asked tears forming in my eyes "I can't wield my lightsaber, I can't use the force, I can't help anyone at all."

I just sat there and cried for what felt like hours, after a while mom came up to me, put her hands on my cheeks, and and lifted my head so I was looking up at her. She wiped the tears from my eyes and said in a very quivering voice that was threatening to break any second. "Jack. My brave beautiful boy, not one person thinks you're useless. You are one of the bravest people ever to live, I am proud of all you accomplished and your father would be too."

"Mom I just…" I couldn't talk for a minute because of the sobs shaking my chest. Pushing her away and wheeling myself towards the window. "Even if you say that. Lets face it I've hit rock bottom." After I said that I put my head in my hands and refused to look at them.

Mom just stood there while Ahsoka walked over to me and tried to get me to look at her. No one said anything for a few minutes until mom noticed my lightsaber.

"You know jack…" She said picking up my lightsaber and walking over to me. "It's been my experience. When you hit bottom, the only place left to go is up."

"Who told you that." I snorted.

"A fellow by the name of Robert Darby." Mom said (Atlantis The Lost Empire)

I looked up at her smiling face and saw her holding my lightsaber out to me. I hesitated and made no move to take it."

"Jack." ahsoka said making me face her. "I know you feel helpless, everyone has felt that. But you don't have to face this alone. I'm going to be here every step of the way."

"So will I." Mom said.

"Me too." X said. "Jack you've helped me work past my pain. What kind of friend would I be if I didn't help you through yours."

"I will assist you in anyway I can as well." Aya said from her console.

"Everyone will be here for you jack." Ahsoka said taking my lightsaber from mom and holding it out for me "Because we know you're strong enough to overcome this."

I looked around the room, and smiling I took the lightsaber. "Thank you."

"Of course." Mom said then seeing the way Ahsoka and I were looking at each other she realized what was needed. "X come with me, let's leave jack and Ahsoka alone for a while."

"Of course June." X said Being able to read the mood Aya quickly deactivated herself for our privacy.

"Don't do anything too strenuous." mom said smiling as she made her way to the door.

"Mom." I said groaning while ahsoka laughed and blushed.

With that mom left me and ahsoka alone.

"I don't think this will be too strenuous." Ahsoka said smiling leaning in towards my face, I smiled and as our lips met, for the first time in a long time I felt much better.

And that is it for this chapter, was a bit touch and go for a while for jack huh? By the way the Teen titans reference was from the original cartoon not that teen titans go garbage. Next time Jack will return to earth. With ahsoka so look forward to that, while there both jack and ahsoka will learn new things, But what will they be?
